Amazing resort location with large cosy and beautiful rooms. Highly recommend for holidays. Food is expensive though.

We stayed for 2 nights and wished we stayed longer! Room was spacious and clean with an amazing view on the high floor. We had dinner buffet at Weligama Kitchen and food was great! Breakfast served there was delicious with great variety from Western , Asian, Indian but the Sri Lankan style breakfast was the best! Tide Bar is a great place to relax and have drinks with scrumptious snack too. We spent most of our time at the resort and it was very relaxing. The environment was suitable for couples and family at the same time. Lastly, service was top notch, everyone was friendly and helpful. TK and Kalpani from Weligama kitchen always checking on us, Sachinthaka , Asanka and Dharmika from Tides always cheerful and greeting us when we head there for drinks. Would definitely return and recommend to family and friends visiting beautiful Sri Lanka!

Amazing location. In the middle of a forest and just beside the sea. Booked Jungle Chalet and the room was big and good. Found a spider in the room which was scary but I think OK for a place situated in the middle of jungle. Saw wild boars running around our room, crocodiles in the lake near hotel entrance and small animals and peacocks. Other than Yala Safari there is nothing much to do in the hotel other than swimming in the pool. Had full board and the dining experience was good. Bar service is also good.

Overall, it was an enjoyable stay although in some respects it was inferior to other hotels I stayed in on the holiday. The pools were great and so was the view from the room. The room itself was alright - quite basic but sufficient. We did have problems with a leak in the ceiling which was promptly addressed by staff but still a little annoying. In general the staff were lovely: in particular Chamindu in the restaurant, a security guard who called me and my partner over to show us turtles on the beach (sorry, can't remember his name) and the guy working the sunloungers at the lower pool. The weakest part was probably the food. It wasn't bad exactly, it was just worse than the food in all the other hotels I stayed in.

It was the amazing place i have visited. Had a great welcome from front line staff. Room is perfect and had a great view. Dinner and breakfast was amazing and very tasty. Breakfast bufet had a wide selection of western and local food. I requested to arrange a birthday cake at the breakfast time and they were arranged a tasty cake with special birthday surprise. Overall can be give 10 out of 10.

First time in Shangri La Hambantota. Great stay with warm hospitality. F&B staff at the all day dining restaurant was always with the warmest welcome and smiles. Chathurya the host and also Kapila who always made sure we were looked after. With 3 kids under 5 they always made sure they always had something to much on! Thank you to all the chefs who made our stay a special one! From HK staff to front desk fantastic service! Good stuff Shangri La Hambantota. Keep up the amazing service . Hope to return again

Amazing experience. One of the best hotels we've stayed at. The food is incredible, my wife is gluten free and has coeliac, therefore, she becomes very sick if she's eats food containing gluten. The head of the restaurant, I believe his name was Dilshan (apologize if this is wrong) was outstanding, he went out of his way to go through all the meals with my stating which ones were gluten free and even provided a plate of desserts which he got the chef to make specifically for her. Such a kind hearted gentleman. The service was phenomenal as per the other Jetwings we have stayed at. We will definitely be back.

Pantai di hotel terlalu bergelombang untuk berenang dan hanya dapat berjemur di bawah sinar matahari. Tetapi tidak jauh, ada pantai awam lain yang berjarak lebih dari 100 meter, di mana anda boleh berenang. Terdapat banyak pilihan untuk sarapan dan makan malam bufet, dan rasanya enak. Hotel is contemporary design just outside the fort area 15m walk great pool overlooking the ocean if it was not so rocky they would have their own beach rooms are very large some with a plunge pool excellent breakfast great choices veg if you prefer the staff are polite and will do anything to help if you like the old colonial style stay in the fort wall's

I recently had the pleasure of spending a day out at Araliya Beach Resort with my wife, and it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and professionalism by the staff, setting the tone for a perfect day. The resort itself is a stunning paradise, offering breathtaking views of the ocean and immaculate facilities. The beach was pristine, providing the perfect backdrop for a relaxing day. We also enjoyed the resort’s amenities, including the pool and spa, which were top-notch and meticulously maintained. The dining experience was another highlight. The restaurant served a delectable array of dishes that catered to all tastes, and the quality of the food was outstanding. Overall, our day at Araliya Beach Resort was a perfect blend of relaxation and luxury, thanks in large part to the exceptional staff . A little gem of a hotel, close to Unawatuna and Galle and within walking distance of Jungle Beach. Super-friendly staff always greeting you with a smile, large rooms, cosy pool area with sun beds in the shade. Lovely breakfast and good dinners. Only minus was long waiting times at dinner - maybe time for a smaller menu? We’ll definitely recommend this hotel!

Welcome - we were greeted well on arrival As this was our last hotel on trip we requested for an upgrade. The receptionist said the hotel was full but it wasnt the case when we checked with housekeeping staff. Rooms - The rooms are pretty standard 5 star rooms with partial sea view from the room we stayed in. Service - The room service/housekeeping was very quick and efficient but the service at the pool restaurant was very dull and unwelcoming. F&B - The food and the service at the main restaurant was outstanding. This is what saved our good views on this hotel. The manager was more than eager to serve us well. Pool - The pool is very nice- very big and well maintained Beach- The beach was nothing special. Overall - A decent hotel with tough neighborly competition.

While I didn't stay at the Galle Fort Hotel, I stumbled upon their bar, Ropewalk. It turned out to be a serendipitous moment, as I was served the best cocktail I've had in my seven days of travel in Sri Lanka. After a refreshing walk in Galle, I indulged in three drinks, with the assistance of Mr. Pasindu, who helped me pick the perfect concoction. The ”only nabeel like this” was truly exceptional, as every single ingredient could be tasted. It was like listening to an orchestra, with each instrument playing in harmony, yet still distinguishable on their own.

Perfect location, not so far to Yala National Park and with a nice lake view. Amazing swimming pool and English breakfast too. The rooms are a bit old and not renoviated but the staff there was very amazing and always helpful. Thank you

這家希爾頓酒店是比較讓人滿意的酒店，性價比很好。當晚入住的時候外面下大雨，到達酒店的一刻感覺終於安心了的感覺，這樣的安全感讓我頓時對這裏產生了好感～～～晚上辦理好入住沿着長廊走回房間，伴隨着風雨飄搖的黑暗，即使有服務人員陪同走去房間都還是有點小怕～～房間風格有點老舊，可能是木色調的原因吧，床鋪還是比較舒適的，還有可以通向花園的陽台門～～房間隔音效果比較差，隔壁洗澡我們都能聽見水嘩嘩聲～～～～晚上下雨沒出門，早上天亮了再看這裏的大環境還是讓人很舒心～滿地的花落知多少～～～由於趕着去雅拉動物園，都沒來得及看一看酒店和使用一下酒店設施～～第二天5:30從酒店出發去雅拉國家公園，大概40分鐘會到達雅拉國家公園～～來不及在酒店吃早餐，酒店早餐時間是6:30–10：30，出發前和回來都是趕不上用餐時間的，所以如果要吃早餐的話，一定要在前一晚讓酒店準備好早餐帶着去～～～看了一下酒店餐廳環境，沒時間在這裏慢慢享受還是有點可惜的～～～順帶説的是我原本這天晚上入住的是雅拉辛納蒙野生酒店（Cinnamon Wild Yala）酒店，想着住那裡可以早點去Safari～～～由於天氣原因臨時改訂了這家希爾頓酒店，後來我去完雅拉公園去了看了一下那家酒店……真的很慶幸自己改來這裏～～簡直太明智了……那裡出發去雅拉國家公園近～但通往酒店的全部是泥巴路，需要吉普車才能去～～而且那裡性價比極其低………性價比在地上摩擦～～如果去雅拉Safari的話真的推薦寧願開車多半小時都不要住那裡～～時間不趕的話推薦住這裏

Coming off a 16 day trip that included stays at a 5 star hotel in London, both Aman properties in Sri Lanka. and Soneva Fushi in the Maldives. We have stayed previously at a similar price point in South Africa, the Netherlands, the Caribbean, and Canada. Everything considered, Amanwella rates, for us, as the best that we have stayed anywhere in the world. The important caveat is that you must have your expectations set properly — this is a mature hotel set in a tropical location. Expect heat, insects, spiders, and lizards. Some may even make their way into your room. A quick phone call to housekeeping will solve any such issue immediately, in our experience anyway. Accept this, and the hotel is likely to rate as the destination of a lifetime. For us, the staff are easily the greatest asset of the hotel, starting with the general manager of the resort, Sonam. Every day he checked in on us, usually at breakfast, but sometimes more often than that. He was easy to speak to and we felt he was genuine in every respect. We missed a connection in Dubai and arrived late in the evening (11pm); regardless, he was present at our arrival along with a full contingent of staff for welcoming! Janith, our Guest Assistant, while only 26, rated as leagues above anything else we experienced on this trip or anywhere else. He is, without doubt, a rising star for Aman. Every need was anticipated and every request acted on in a timely fashion. Janith has continued to message us on WhatsApp since our departure, checking in on the rest of trip, and we feel that we made a real friend in Sri Lanka. Dinusha, who we met at the main restaurant, well, his smile is simply contagious, and he came across as down to earth, friendly, and eager to do whatever is necessary to make our stay memorable. His memory for our preferences is impeccable, which is something we did not find elsewhere as often as we would have liked. Ruwon, often a driver for us, treated us with consideration and spoke candidly while behaving professionally at all times. Again, we feel that we made another friend here during this trip! The resort is beautiful, well maintained, and while we spent more time on activities than on the beach, I assure you this is a beach resort first and foremost and that the beach is world class. The vibe is laid back but there is no element of luxury missing. Of everything we did, the lagoon experience was our favourite activity. Highly recommended. Make time also for a private dinner at the beach club. You will not regret it. I see that that past reviewers have expressed concern about the cost of food. The solution for us was to book the Fort & Beach package which included half board, experiences, and transfer between resorts. Perfection, Amanwella. Book it and enjoy!

運氣很好，抵達酒店終於迎來了晴天，下午茶在泳池邊，晚餐有專門的中式家庭套餐可選，海邊野餐值得嘗試，需要預定，可以看到漫天的星辰，直麪海浪拍打岩石沙灘，還有可能遇到誤闖的大象。氛圍感滿滿，5:30出門Safari，看到了睡覺的錫蘭豹Lucas，2個覓食的大象家庭，張嘴曬太陽的鱷魚，無數水牛，孔雀和猴子，還有各種鳥類，過程中會提供水和簡單的餐盒，9點返回酒店吃豐富的早餐。對於一家全包的野奢酒店，體驗感非常好，房間內也很酷，是繼巴厘島的嘉佩樂之外見到的高品質帳篷營地。避坑提示：spa就算了，體驗很不好，80刀60mins，環境和水平都有限，還要額外收服務費和稅費，且沒有提前告知！

I loved the arts on the wall. The staff are warm and ever smiling. I did not understand the cocktail list they had and and am glad the manager on duty Dolphine suggested for us a great ones.We had carnivore dawa with vodka and whyskie weekender . Music fron the inhouse Dj was jus a relaxing moment and our waiter Emmanuel was very proffesional.I will recommend this place being our first time.

Whilst the location is fantastic and they have a great pool, the rooms seem not to have been touched since 1948! I think the original furniture is still in the room. One of the windows in our room did not go all the way to the top of the frame. It is an expansive resort and has some good public spaces, but our experience with our room was not great. The air conditioning did not work for our first night and it took 4 goes for the staff (in the end, the engineers had to fix it) and when it was fixed, it blew on the highest level and we could not turn it down - and we were very cold on our second night. Also, every Sunday down the beach, some bar holds a disco till about 12.45am - the noise of which carried stratight to the resort and made sleeping a tad challenging. The music they play at the resort during dinner is also quite loud. Food was ok - nice selection of Sri Lankan and western food. I would not stay here again.

Super heerlijk relaxen in deze prachtige plek in weligama Zorg dat je in de beach hut verblijft Eten drinken de verzorging allemaal fantastisch met name de butlers sandun , rex en prahin hebben heel goed voor ons gezorgd, koud water onder de parasol en s morgens een heerlijk ontbijt op je eigen veranda De staff van het hotel regelde voor ons tuk tuk waarmee we in het stadje een keer uit eten gingen , ze gaven ook restaurant tips en tips wat te doen De bedjes staan in de tuin met uitzicht op zee , de zee is toeganlijk via een paadje met een hek, de zee was heel ruw en er zat een hele grote trekkracht in , er werd hier ook niet gesurfd in de zee veelrotsen en een stuk kiezelsstrand,snorkelen weet ik niet, waterschoenen zijn handig Vanuit dit hotelzijn we ook weer met een tuk tuk naar de turtle hatchery geweest en naar een tee plantage

2023.9.30下午兩點來到cape weligama酒店，這個酒店在懸崖上，是斯里蘭卡三家羅蘭夏朵集團的酒店之一，在11月到4月從酒店有時候能看到鯨魚。位置不錯，有點類似於峇里島的寶格麗酒店，但是不如寶格麗這麼大，服務一般般。晚餐基本衹能從酒店吃，感覺不便宜，早餐很豐富。從酒店能看到蜥蜴和孔雀，最近新來了個博物學家，可以帶小朋友收集樹葉觀察各種動物，很有意思。不過這種酒店也就住一次體驗一下，後面也不會再住了。

The first best quality I saw in the hotel was maintained very good customer service. They are ready to listen to the customer very well and fulfill the need quickly. The hotel has beautiful access .The view is such a amazing🔥... I just had an nice massage on there Ayurvedic spa which I would recommend everyone who visit here. The room are very clean and Luxury I just love it. I attended an event here and the food and drinks were very good and the atmosphere was very good. It is equipped with a hall with good space. This is good place where you plan to a company get together and all. Talking about food, you can get different varieties of food here. And it's taste amazing.. Overall, I can say that I got a very good experience. A hotel worth visiting.🙌

Superb very clean well maintained hotel. Staff is very friendly. Mouthwatering food. beach is very clean and all stakeholders including all other hotels and surf schools are taking care of it. One can surf either side of the hotel beaches. Very safe and well maintained swimming pool add more glamor. Anyhow prices are very unreasonable. A water bottle cost me Rs 650 and the same brand of it , within 100 meters from hotel was only Rs 120. For our first lunch cost us Rs 33,000+ as they refused to add that to FB saying it starts from Dinner!! but since we had one dinner out side and skipped the lunch the day we departed, altered bill from full board to HF , reduction was only 4000+/day. This is absurd and we have never experience such in any other place. Such pricing may get them quick returns but ruined their reputation much quicker. So plan your budget so that you don't have any regret of extras.
