It is a very nice hotel with attentive staff! The hotel is about a 7 minutes walk from Kyoto station. It’s a very convenient place to stay if you’re catching an early train or arriving from a late one. I don’t know if I’d recommend it for a longer stay since the area is quite boring. There’s plenty of restaurants and shops within the station but they’re very crowded and more expensive. It’s also quite far away from the main sights of Kyoto, so for a longer stay I’d recommend staying downtown. The included room amenities are good but nothing special. There’s shaving kits, towels, haircare, skincare, tea, water, and yukata robes (the robes are not souvenirs). There’s a pool, a spa area, and a restaurant, which all have an additional fee. My room was clean, but I found some scuff marks on the walls and a crack in my bathtub. From Kyoto station you can see Kyoto tower but it’s not an amazing sight hahaha. It takes about 25 minutes to downtown Kyoto from the hote

Expensive but excellent! The transportation here is very central. I've noticed that Japanese people's English has improved, and there are more vegetarian options. The politeness is still there, and the vibe is still the same – a mix of joy and sorrow 🎭. The train ride was a lot of fun.

Anyone visiting Kyoto should be familiar with this hotel because it's located right in the heart of the shopping district, which is incredibly convenient. The location is excellent; you step right out to Takashimaya, and there's even a direct connection from the hotel's third floor! The hotel also boasts a cafe, a supermarket, and a gym... perfect for young travelers! The rooms are spacious, the bedding is comfortable, and the bathroom is also very roomy.

This was our first time staying in the Gion area, and Hotel the Celestine truly elevated the experience. The atmosphere is calm, elegant and very Kyoto. From check in to departure, everything felt smooth and professionally handled. The cleanliness was impeccable. The room was thoughtfully arranged with a perfect balance of modern comfort and traditional Japanese touches. Beds were extremely comfortable and the space felt well planned, not cramped like many city hotels. What makes this hotel special is the location. Stepping outside places you immediately in the charm of old Kyoto. Walking through Gion in the early morning before the crowds arrive was unforgettable. Service deserves special mention. The team was polite, warm and always ready to assist with genuine hospitality. A beautiful property for anyone who appreciates quiet luxury in a prime cultural setting. We would gladly stay again.

We are highly recommend to stay in this hotel, while the location, room size, cleanliness, design, and service are excellent. Moreover, the breakfast style is enough to choose, you can either enjoy in western or Japanese style breakfast per day. And we have encountered a traffic jam issue when we are coming back from Nara Station, something bad happened and the train was suddenly stopped. So we cannot be able to back to hotel on time for retrieving our packed luggages in room. We called to the hotel and explained this unexpected situation. The staffs show understand and offered free late check out one more hour for us, we know it is not easy to have free late check out at Japan but they did treat us so well. Thank you so much, we appreciated and we will stay in future as well. Thank you!

The hotel is conveniently located directly across from JR Kyoto Station, making it super easy to find. The room size was decent, especially for the king-size bed I booked, which I really liked. It's incredibly convenient for getting around, particularly for JR lines – no need to rush at all. The absolute highlight was the breakfast! There was such a wide variety, including sushi 🍣, various alcoholic beverages, cheese, salads, and grilled meats. The restaurant faces the station, so I highly recommend opting for breakfast – it's excellent value, and the sushi was delicious. The service was great too, and the lobby offers complimentary water and even Sekkisei cosmetics, which was an amazing bonus!

We stayed at Hotel Gracery Kyoto for two nights and overall had a very comfortable stay. The hotel has two sections, and we stayed in the South building. The room was very clean, and the space was used efficiently, which is typical for Japan. The bathroom layout was a bit unusual. The toilet and shower are separate, which is convenient, but the toilet cubicle itself is extremely small. The shower is positioned in an odd space between the bath and what seems to be the shower floor, and the shower head cannot be adjusted up or down. That said, the water pressure and temperature were excellent, which made up for the layout. Bottled water was provided on the first day, which was appreciated. The TV, however, was very limited with only Japanese channels and no access to Netflix or other streaming services. The location is excellent. The hotel is right by Nishiki Market and surrounded by shops and restaurants, with multiple subway lines nearby. There are also many fantastic local restaurants in the area, which we highly recommend, especially when the market gets overwhelmingly busy. The hotel provides a wide range of amenities in the lobby, including face wash, toner, lotion, razors, combs and mouthwash. While convenient, the large amount of individually packaged items does not feel particularly environmentally friendly. We checked out the breakfast one morning but decided not to purchase it as it was 2750 yen per person, and there are plenty of better and more affordable options nearby. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and we also appreciated that the hotel offers free umbrella use on rainy days, which was a thoughtful touch. One downside was the room cleaning timing. We left early in the morning and only returned after 3pm, but the room was still being cleaned when we got back. We were asked to wait around 30 minutes, which was quite inconvenient after a long day when we wanted to rest, shower and freshen up before heading out again. Overall, a clean and well-located hotel with a few minor design quirks and service timing issues, but still a very pleasant stay.

A beautiful hotel with cosy rooms, fabulous amenities (onsen, drinks and snacks on reception level, afternoon beverage on the roof, and even onsen coffee in the mornings). I loved enjoying the rooftop foot spa any change i could get. The location was very convenient especially when taking the Privace train to Osaka afterwards. I would definitely stay here again and loved my stay.

The room exceeded my expectations. For Kyoto's typically cramped accommodations, it was quite spacious, very clean, and had a pleasant atmosphere. Its proximity to the station made it incredibly convenient. The onsen (hot spring bath) on the first floor was fantastic, especially the outdoor connecting pool – absolutely blissful. And the ice cream shop by the entrance was delicious; I made sure to grab a scoop after every bath.

Excellent location, right across from Kyoto Station, yet the soundproofing in the room is fantastic! The room isn't huge, but it has three single beds with thick, clean bedding. The breakfast is mainly Japanese and not super extensive, but overall good. They also provide toiletries, which is a nice touch! Fantastic value for money!

This hotel stay was a fantastic success! The location is superb, less than a 5-minute walk from Kyoto Station. As for the ambiance, it's authentically Japanese, and the women's hot spring bath area offers over five different pools. Even on a weekend, it wasn't overly crowded. After a relaxing soak, you can enjoy complimentary ice cream, and in the morning, there's a free flow of Yakult! But the absolute highlight was the breakfast. It was incredibly diverse and impressive; the tempura and fried shrimp, for example, were freshly made and absolutely delicious 😋. You wouldn't find this kind of value for money at this price back home. Simply excellent!

We really enjoyed our 3 night stay here. The decor really added to the atmosphere of the place and there was a lovely communal area for relaxing. This offered different seating areas with access to free tea and coffee, a microwave and mini oven. The hotel is directly above a 7/eleven so it was very convenient for bringing in food to eat. There was a laundry room but it was very busy and the washing machine didn't sound very happy and the drying seemed to take people a long time. We were glad to have done washing before arriving here. The room was quite big and the bed was on a raised platform so cases could be stored underneath. It was very dark in the room because of the decor. We did sleep well. The bathroom was very modern and clean with a wet room style shower. All areas of the hotel were very clean throughout our stay and staff were visibly working to maintain a high standard. Kyoto was extremely busy at the time of our stay (during golden week) so we focused our visits to places that could be walked to or accessed from the Kiyomizu-Gojo Station on the Keihan Line. We did one trip that involved buses and it was horrendously busy with the longest queues at bus stops we've ever seen.

The hotel is located right inside the train station, making it extremely convenient. Despite its central location, it was quiet and comfortable. There were plenty of restaurants, shops, and even a UNIQLO right downstairs, so everything we needed was within easy reach. The price was also very reasonable for the location and convenience. I would definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit.

I am from Yangzhou, Jiangsu. Although Yangzhou is a garden city, there are many such style escape hotels in Jiangsu and Zhejiang, Hongxi Noya of Hoshino Group is definitely worth living. The overall health is very good, the facilities are well maintained and there is no musty smell. That is, all the windows can be wiped clean. This time I checked in in the evening. When I took a taxi, I saw the sunset of Lushan, which was a value-added item. The reception staff was very polite and welcoming. At night, the girl was invited to drive us to the hotel entrance. This road was too standard, almost standing on the mountain, and there was a feeling of adventure. When I checked out, I felt the ship of Hoshino. By the way, I recommend the dyeing workshop and Zhai Pavilion are diagonally opposite. If you like the scenery, it is worth seeing.
