It’s been a few days since I got back from my Sanya trip, and I’m finally getting around to writing this review! 😂 My sister recommended this hotel to me. A few years ago, her family stayed here during their Sanya vacation and had an excellent experience, so she highly recommended it for our family trip this time. From the moment we checked in, we felt the staff's warmth. Seeing that we were a family traveling with a young child, they upgraded us to a family room. They also noted my child's birthday and sent a small cake on the day itself. The room was clearly well-maintained, and we could see the sea right from inside. The balcony was perfect for drying clothes. My child absolutely loved the hotel pool. What truly surprised me was the clothes-folding service – something I've never experienced in all my years of traveling! It was an amazing touch. Before we checked out, the staff repeatedly asked about our stay, and knowing we were traveling with a child, they even gave us a parting gift. The surprises just kept coming! From its location to its facilities and service, this hotel is simply impeccable. I highly recommend it to everyone! 😄

Treated like a VIP on my birthday! Room surprise + seafood buffet with grilled crocodile, this hotel really knows how to pamper you 🎂 My Sanya trip happened to coincide with my birthday, and I originally thought it would be just a normal stay, but I ended up being incredibly touched. I have to give a special shout-out to the housekeeping staff – when I returned to my room in the evening, I found a cute little cake made of rose petals and towels on the bed, along with a handwritten birthday card. There was also a delicate small cake and a fruit platter on the desk, which instantly cheered me up. These little touches weren't just standard procedure; they genuinely made me feel cared for. Now, let's talk about the super value-for-money ”package including dinner buffet for two.” I used to think all hotel buffets were pretty much the same, but this one changed my mind. The freshness of the food was top-notch, and there was a wide variety of seafood. The biggest surprise was finding grilled crocodile! It was my first time trying it; the meat was firm, a bit like a cross between chicken and fish, and dipping it in the special sauce was amazing. The tropical fruit section was a colorful palette, with rambutan, wax apples, jackfruit, and freshly opened Hainan coconuts that were sweet and refreshing – I drank two in one go. What truly elevated the dinner experience was the ambiance. The restaurant faces the sea, and as the evening sunset glowed through the floor-to-ceiling windows, dining while watching the sunset was so romantic it left me speechless. There was also a Filipino band playing live, with soft jazz accompanying the sound of the waves, making me want to stay an extra hour. The waiter saw the cake on our table and even offered to take photos and asked if we needed help cutting it. In short, this birthday experience far exceeded my expectations. The room was clean and comfortable, the sea-view restaurant offered an unbeatable view, and the buffet was excellent value for money. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to celebrate an anniversary or simply treat themselves. Remember to choose the package that includes dinner – you definitely won't regret it! 🌟

This hotel is super convenient in terms of transportation. There's a shopping street right downstairs, making it easy to catch a taxi or get anywhere. It's also close to the beach. As for facilities, there are three swimming pools, and one large pool is open until 10 PM, which I found to be perfectly sufficient. The mini pancakes at breakfast were delicious, and the service was excellent. My butler was also very responsible. Overall, I was extremely satisfied with my stay!

The villa is beautiful and the pool water is very clean. The hotel is right next to the beach, so you can walk over and dip your toes in the water. The rooms are large and plentiful, and I got a bit disoriented when I first checked in. Unlike other standalone villa hotels I've stayed at, this one doesn't have a butler service; you need to call the front desk for any requests. It also felt like the hotel was understaffed. We checked in during peak hours, and the front desk staff looked very tired and overwhelmed. They didn't even guide guests queuing up in an orderly fashion. The experience in this regard was quite poor compared to the Hilton we stayed at two days ago. If you're staying in a villa, you'll need to bring your own mosquito repellent. Because the rooms are so large and there's a lot of greenery, even electric mosquito coils were largely ineffective. I didn't see any mosquito traps or similar facilities outside either. We were almost carried away by Sanya's mosquitoes!

Extremely satisfied with this hotel, it's definitely a hidden gem in Yalong Bay offering incredible value for money! The best thing about this hotel is how convenient it is to go for a swim at the beach, and the public beach area is also beautiful. The 'glass sea' in Yalong Bay is truly stunning and so clear! On my first day swimming, I saw little fish swim past me! What an incredible experience! The breakfast was also very good! I will definitely be back to this hotel!!

Dora, the butler, was incredibly attentive. We received welcome fruits upon check-in and a parting gift at check-out. The ocean view from the room was absolutely breathtaking! The moment I stepped onto the balcony, I was speechless. In the evening, the sunset painted the entire sea in an orange soda hue. Plus, there was a barbecue by the pool at night. Soaking in the water while smelling the BBQ – the atmosphere was just perfect!

We were very satisfied with the room. A huge thank you to our hotel butler, Li Shiping (Xiao Li), who was incredibly patient, meticulous, and attentive in helping us with numerous issues during our stay. For example, he assisted with supplies and meals for our children and even helped us with a late check-out due to a flight delay. Xiao Li also diligently resolved many other small details that came up during our stay. We were also lucky enough to get an upgrade to a sea-view room! The beach was just a 3-minute walk away, and there was a pool right downstairs where our kids had an absolute blast and didn't want to leave. It was a very happy and enjoyable vacation at this hotel.

Pullman is one of the older hotels in Yalong Bay. While the facilities might not be as new as those in Haitang Bay, it more than makes up for it in convenience, comfort, and a fantastic holiday vibe. Whenever I stay in Yalong Bay, my top choice is always a Pullman villa, especially since I'm traveling with kids – it's incredibly child-friendly! Stepping out of the room, you're right by the pool, so the kids can play freely without needing to go to the main hotel pool. It truly allows me to balance work and spending time with my children. The hotel staff are all incredibly warm and helpful, especially Andy. He started contacting me two days before my check-in to go over everything, and during my stay, he continuously helped me with whatever I needed. The hotel's golf carts are also on-call and arrive very quickly. It was a thoroughly enjoyable weekend!

Not only was check-in super quick, but they also proactively upgraded my room to the sea-view one-bedroom loft apartment I had hoped for. The room itself was spacious and bright, with elegant and tasteful decor. Opening the window revealed a stunning sea view – truly breathtaking! The apartment-style design, complete with a fully equipped kitchen, made for a comfortable and convenient stay. What's more, the price for this stay was incredibly good value for money; getting such a high-quality experience for less than 800 yuan was truly amazing! Both the hotel's service and facilities left a lasting impression. I'll definitely choose to stay here again next time I'm in Sanya, and I highly recommend it to everyone!

As a second-row hotel in Yalong Bay, the Yingbinguan isn't directly beachfront, but it's just across the road, so walking to the beach is convenient. The key is its incredible value for money; for just over 1,000 RMB, you get an infinity pool room that's clean and tidy. I stayed here two years ago and chose it again this year. Why? Mainly because the hotel's service surpasses even some first-tier brands. The shuttle bus is available on demand, and Cici, our butler, provided exceptional service throughout, fulfilling every request. When we ordered takeout late at night, she personally arranged for staff to deliver it to our door. This level of service alone is worth half the room rate! Guys, book this place without hesitation! If the hotel happens to see this review, my only small suggestion is: while the service is already incredibly thoughtful, the hotel should consider providing a few chairs for the front desk staff so they can sit when not actively assisting guests. Standing for over ten hours a day is truly exhausting, and the hotel should also demonstrate necessary humanistic care for its own team. Hope to see you again!

I've stayed in many hotels, but this experience was a pleasant surprise. The room was spacious and bright, and the bedding was soft and comfortable, ensuring a very restful night's sleep. The bathroom's wet/dry separation was well-designed, with excellent water pressure in the shower and quick hot water. The front desk staff were warm and attentive, making check-in and check-out efficient. The location is also great; turn left out the door and you're at the beach, making getting around very convenient. The 270-degree sea view was unforgettable. The facilities were comprehensive. Overall, it offers great value for money, and I would definitely choose to stay here again next time.

No comparison, no harm... I booked this place randomly near the airport after a late flight. It exceeded my expectations by far; the service here blew away even my experience at the Mandarin Oriental afterwards! The hotel proactively contacted me a day before check-in to ask about my arrangements and provide important information, and assigned me a personal butler. I remember arriving around 1 AM, and the front desk agent, a young man, showed no signs of fatigue. He even proactively upgraded our room and asked if we needed a late check-out. When we hesitated, he immediately said, 'No problem, let me register it for you now, I’ll extend it until 2 PM.' I went to the room with some skepticism, but as soon as I opened the door, I loved it! It was so spacious, and the furniture and decor were clearly carefully chosen and beautifully coordinated. I have to praise the circular mosaic shower – it perfectly captures the essence of the Mediterranean! (I can’t stand those cookie-cutter Edition hotel rooms; a vacation should be about experiencing something different.) I also noticed that the showerhead was modified and couldn't be twisted off, which was a nice touch. 👍🏻 The real joy came on the second day. When dawn broke, I finally saw the balcony – and wow, who can even tell if this is Sanya or Andalusia?! I lay on the lounge chair on the balcony, showing it off to all my friends one by one, and everyone was asking, 'Wow, where is this beautiful place?' 🥰 The public areas are also beautiful. Some angles and layouts for photos resemble the Ritz. While the public space might be a bit smaller compared to Yalong Bay and Haitang Bay, its proximity to the sea is a major plus. I’m already planning to try a pool-access room on the ground floor next time. The front desk agent during check-out was also very kind. I apologize for not remembering the name of the young man who was standing in the middle around noon on June 7th. It's rare to encounter such genuine and infectious service. Because of him, I happily left the Crowne Plaza to go to the Mandarin Oriental, only to feel a huge letdown there. 😂 I also have to commend Ms. Meiyue from housekeeping (I believe). I left my charger behind, and she proactively called us and added me on WeChat to ask for an address for mailing. Since we hadn't left Sanya yet, we said we'd return to the hotel to pick it up, and she even waited for us at the concierge. (In contrast, I left an umbrella at the Mandarin Oriental, and no one bothered to ask about it.) She is truly a professional and genuine service provider. This trip to Sanya had a wonderful beginning and end, thanks to this hotel. They also offered an offshore excursion, which allowed for some excellent photos! Some details in the room showed a bit of wear, but this is a common issue for many older hotels in Sanya, apart from those in Haitang Bay. It's a minor flaw that doesn't detract from the overall experience. One small suggestion: perhaps try changing the green lights in the night garden landscape to a warm white light. Thank you for your hospitality. I will definitely be back! 😄

I've stayed in other hotels in Sanya Bay before and found them to have poor soundproofing and airplane noise. The walk to the beach was long, and the underpass was dirty, which made me reluctant to stay in Sanya Bay again. However, this time at the Pullman Oceanview, none of those issues existed. It's a short walk from the public area downstairs to the beach access, and there's even an elevator. The underpass was also very clean. My child loved the water slides and went on them many times. The kids' club isn't huge, but it has everything needed and is very clean. I'll definitely prioritize staying here when I come back to Sanya Bay. A big thanks to our butler Vivi for her meticulous care.

Rooms come with free sand-digging tools for children. Cleanliness: The room was very clean, not a speck of dust. The duvet and pillows had been changed. Environment: The hotel is really close to the beach, and the swimming pool is also on the way to the beach. You can get free swim rings at the pool. Service: Upon entering the hotel lobby, staff greeted us and helped with our luggage. Since we arrived early, we checked our luggage at the front desk first, then went out for a meal, and checked in upon our return. Check-in was very quick. Breakfast: The breakfast spread was excellent, especially the Western options. This is likely due to the large number of international guests.

On a clear day, the ocean is incredibly blue – no filters needed for photos, they look great straight out of the camera. I chose this hotel specifically for a family trip; the indoor kids' play area ensures the little ones always have something to do, and the water park's slides are fantastic, safe, and fun. The hotel facilities are excellent, with a buffet breakfast that's a mix of Western and Chinese, plus local specialties like Zao Po Cu Noodles. The laundry room and lounge area are also available for use. It's very close to the airport, so staying here upon arrival saves a lot of back-and-forth hassle. Great service too!

From the moment we arrived at Haitang Bay No. 9 Resort Hotel, the staff's meticulous and patient service set a wonderful tone for our vacation. Initially, we just wanted to enjoy the hot springs and swimming, but to our pleasant surprise, the resort's scenery was incredibly beautiful, with numerous spots perfect for photos. The expansive lawn was particularly stunning for pictures. Staying at the hotel for two nights was wonderfully relaxing and stress-free, without the need to rush from one place to another. It was perfect for a leisurely getaway with my mother. The hotel's breakfast was rich and balanced, offering both Western and Chinese options. Over our two-day stay, the breakfast selections varied slightly, preventing it from feeling monotonous. For dinner, we opted for a BBQ set menu at the hotel, right by the sea. Enjoying the ocean breeze, sipping on refreshing drinks, and savoring the delicious BBQ, which included incredibly fresh and large oysters packed with protein, was a fantastic experience. We also booked a professional travel photoshoot. The photographer was highly skilled and professional. Although my mother isn't very old, she felt a bit nervous and stiff in front of the camera since she doesn't often take photos. However, the photographer patiently guided her, resulting in a beautiful collection of natural and vibrant shots. For guests like us who prefer to relax within the hotel, yet still want to capture our travel memories, this trip was truly worthwhile and absolutely perfect. A big thank you to all the hotel staff, including those at the seaside restaurant; your service made our trip incredibly happy and comfortable.

Service: The butler service is very attentive; they help with booking in-house activities, and bellhops assist with luggage upon check-in. The service rivals that of established five-star hotels. The hotel's overall design is excellent, with a high-ceilinged, spacious lobby and beautiful courtyard greenery. The pool area is also very nice. The rooms are quite large; our upgraded garden room faced the pool and garden, offering a lovely view. Room facilities were comprehensive. The service was outstanding, and there wasn't the slightest unpleasant odor in the room, which was a stark contrast to a five-star hotel I stayed at previously in Haitang Bay (though I forgot to mention that in my review of that hotel). The handwritten welcome letter from the staff showed genuine sincerity and a high level of management. All the hotel staff, from the butler who added me on WeChat upon arrival to provide information, to the welcoming staff in the lobby, were very enthusiastic and attentive. They even followed up after we checked out to ask for feedback. The breakfast buffet offered a rich variety of high-quality items, and the dining area (a sprawling open-air restaurant on the first floor) was excellent. Highly recommended!

Holiday Inn Resort Sanya Bay was by far the best hotel we stayed at during our trip to Sanya! The location is fantastic, right on Coconut Dream Corridor. Our room was beautiful, with great views, and it was immaculately clean and comfortable. The public areas are also stunning. They offer a ton of parent-child activities, making it perfect for families with kids. We stayed for 3 days this time, and what impressed me the most was the hotel's service – it was incredibly thoughtful and attentive. Before check-in, they called to ask about our needs and reserve a room. After we checked in, any request we had was handled immediately. I want to especially thank our butler, Winnie. She responded to messages instantly throughout our stay and provided such caring assistance. For example, when she heard we had a cold, she thoughtfully brought us ginger tea. When my baby accidentally fell off the bed, she immediately arranged for a bed rail to be installed, brought us toiletries, and even proactively asked if we needed medical attention. She even followed up after we checked out to ask if we were feeling better. In short, she was incredibly meticulous, patient, detailed, and warm-hearted. Thank you! We also stayed at two well-known hotels in Yalong Bay and Haitang Bay during our ten-day trip, but my family and I all agreed that if we come back to Sanya, we'll definitely stay here again. Everything was excellent, and the service was exceptionally good, especially for families with children. Highly recommended!

When checking in, a staff member helped me with my luggage and even brought it up to my room. My only minor inconvenience was that check-in wasn't until 3 PM when I first arrived, but they allowed a late check-out until past 2 PM. The front desk also upgraded my room to one with a great ocean view, which was lovely. The infinity pool was beautiful and not too crowded, with staff members around for supervision. Any issues I had were resolved quickly by the butler. Overall, it was a good experience, and I would choose to stay here again if I visit Sanya Bay.

Block 8's sea-view rooms are absolutely amazing, seriously! The sea view is top-notch, with the ocean right there. The building is only about 80 meters from the beach, making it the closest one to the sea in the entire hotel. It offers an unobstructed 180° direct sea view, with no palm trees or other buildings blocking the ocean. The 4th and 5th floors are the prime levels, especially the popular 8406 and 8508 room types. Their balconies directly face the entire Yalong Bay, offering distant views of the Sun Bay mountains. You can catch the sunrise over the sea in the morning and the orange sunset in the evening. Sitting on the balcony, enjoying the sea breeze, sipping coconut water, and watching the tide ebb and flow truly sets a perfect holiday mood. It's incredibly photogenic and a must-book for social media influencers!

This trip to Sanya, I stayed two nights at Shangri-La and three nights at Sofitel. Both were basic room types booked online, similarly priced and great value. Both are also very family-friendly, so I'll do a side-by-side comparison. First, my conclusion: personally, I feel Shangri-La is better for children over 7, while Sofitel suits those under 6. Shangri-La offers outdoor science-based activities like firefly and butterfly encounters, plus a petting zoo where you can ride ponies and ostriches. Sofitel focuses on indoor crafting activities such as biscuit art, palace fan painting, and sand art. Shangri-La's kids' club features climbing frames, large slides, and adventure-style play, while Sofitel's has ball pits and bounce castles. Shangri-La's children's water park is larger than Sofitel's and has two waterslides, whereas Sofitel only has one large funnel slide. Shangri-La hosts beach carnivals, while at Sofitel, you can watch evening performances from the restaurant. As for rooms, Shangri-La's come with a sofa bed that can unfold to sleep an adult, while Sofitel provides a 1.1-meter crib. In terms of decor, Shangri-La's rooms have a standard 10-year-old style. Sofitel's rooms are larger, with a walk-in closet right by the entrance, which is very convenient for extended stays with lots of luggage. However, Shangri-La had a major drawback for me: the rooms were incredibly damp. The bedding felt sticky, and running the dehumidifier at night was a bit noisy. Initially, I thought it was due to the rain, but even during a typhoon and heavy downpour at Sofitel, I didn't experience the same issue. I believe this is because Shangri-La's rooms face north, while all of Sofitel's face south.

I first stayed at this hotel in 2012, and it was my first time experiencing a five-star hotel. Now, bringing my child back for a revisit, everything feels both nostalgic and wonderfully re-energized. The hotel room facilities are a bit dated, but they are clean and tidy. The bathroom is spacious, and the double sinks are on opposite sides, which is great because it avoids interference. We chose a high-floor sea-view room, and the scenery is stunning. There's also a large bathtub; soaking in it at night while enjoying the city lights is incredibly relaxing. The hotel environment is quite good, and it's very close to the beach. The ocean water is gorgeous during the day, and at night, many children are out on the tidal flats with flashlights, catching small crabs. The breakfast buffet is quite rich, and it's available until 10:30 AM, which is perfect for late risers. The hotel service is excellent. They proactively assigned us a butler; mine was the lovely Annie. From introducing the hotel's environment, facilities, and dining options, to checking in daily on our stay experience, she even replenished our drinks and fruit daily, not just a one-time supply. When the room's air conditioning felt a bit warm, she immediately arranged for an engineer to fix it. Even as we were leaving, she asked if we needed any assistance. The front desk staff who checked us in were also very professional. All the service staff and employees we encountered along the way greeted us. In short, the hotel stay was comfortable, the atmosphere was great, and it felt very thoughtful. 🌸

First off, let's talk about the service – and I'll say it three times because it's that important: service, service, service! My butlers, Jinli and Hudie, were phenomenal. I honestly think half the room rate is justified by their efforts alone! They were incredibly attentive to our every need. Bringing water or coconuts felt like minor requests; they were always ready to go above and beyond. If you had any concerns, they'd address them immediately to ensure your satisfaction. The first room we were given wasn't quite right, and they instantly showed us other options, even while they were being cleaned, making it clear we could switch. You don't even have to ask for a coconut; if you're ever slightly displeased, they'll offer one to sweeten you up, haha! It's not about the taste of the coconut, but the emotional value they provide. When a recommended boat trip didn't meet expectations and no return car was arranged, they immediately called a car to pick us up and bring us back! It’s not about the money, it's about the attitude! So, regardless of whether the hotel's other facilities are top-notch, the service alone makes the price completely worth it. Of course, the environment and facilities are already excellent for Yalong Bay, especially since it's been recently renovated. The pricing is absolutely fair. Breakfast was also good, and every staff member had a great attitude. It's no wonder the Marriott is always fully booked – they truly deserve it. When you're on vacation, opinions on the environment can vary, but I believe excellent service is universally appreciated. So, I absolutely recommend this place; if I ever come to Sanya again, I'll definitely stay at the Marriott!

The room with a sea view was absolutely beautiful, clean, and comfortable. A special thank you to Ms. Coral for arranging such a satisfactory room for me! Yalong Bay is perfect for those who prefer peace and quiet, and the hotel is just a five-minute walk to the beach, making it ideal for families with young children. I used to always visit Yalong Bay, but this time I tried a hotel in Haitang Bay. While it was newer, it was a bit further from the beach and more suited for families with older kids and a livelier atmosphere. Personally, I much prefer Yalong Bay! The only downside of this trip was Wuzhizhou Island. The hotel there was incredibly old, and we barely saw any other guests in the corridors, yet the staff claimed it was fully booked. Later, out of curiosity, I learned that Wuzhizhou Island only has about 250 rooms open to guests at any given time, so who exactly was staying there? It was quite creepy, and I felt like we were the only ones on our floor… I barely slept all night because the mosquito coils were completely useless, and my child kept getting bitten by mosquitoes. Just how many mosquitoes were there?!

A special shout-out to Xiao Lan at the front desk. I forgot some clothes after checking out, and after contacting Xiao Lan, I quickly received a notification that the package had been shipped via SF Express. Xiao Lan was patient, thorough, and had a gentle tone throughout our phone conversation. Thumbs up! 4. I suggest the hotel consider adding some activities to increase customer loyalty, such as parent-child programs, evening fireworks, or photo-op spots.

Seriously amazing! I didn't expect it to be this good before checking in. They have a regular pool and a 'cloud pool' on the third floor with stunning ocean views, plus mountains nearby. The hotel is surrounded by mountains on one side, a lake on another, and the sea on yet another. But the best part is the incredible service! On the first day, I added the butler on WeChat, and every day there were free chilled Cokes in the mini-fridge in the room. The bathroom had a bathtub, and the air conditioning was super efficient. On my last day, they even gave me a delicious small cake. The hotel also has its own private beach. 🏖️ Anyway, it was awesome! I don't usually leave reviews after every trip, but this is my first time staying at a Renaissance hotel, and I felt compelled to share my thoughts. Overall, the customer service was excellent, and any issues I had were resolved promptly. As other reviewers have noted, the room facilities are a bit dated, but the housekeeping was good, keeping everything clean and tidy, which didn't affect their functionality. Plus, the room itself was huge, equipped with a fridge and a safe, certainly meeting five-star standards. As a resort hotel, breakfast buffet and the pool are two things I highly value. While Haitang Bay doesn't allow swimming in the sea, the hotel's pool is large enough for swimming enthusiasts to have a great time, though the rule of not allowing entry before 9 AM was a bit odd. The variety at Renaissance's breakfast is simply fantastic, offering everything from hot and cold dishes, Chinese and Western cuisine, fruits, desserts, and various beverages and coffees – it's comprehensive and abundant. Finally, regarding the room rate, with such great value for money, what more could one ask for, haha!

Overall, it's a great hotel, as expected from a Marriott property, located right next to luxury hotels like the Grand Hyatt, JW Marriott, and Atlantis. Getting to the beach is super convenient, though the waves at Haitang Bay are quite strong, making it unsuitable for swimming. While the facilities aren't brand new, they are well-maintained. There's a free shuttle bus to the duty-free shop, which is very handy. The staff were excellent throughout, with our butler, Tudou, providing incredibly thoughtful service. We had a couple of minor issues during our stay, but they were all resolved smoothly and promptly. It's also very convenient for visiting Wuzhizhou Island, and the nearby snack street is fantastic, offering everything from Zao Po Cu hotpot to coconut chicken. The breakfast spread is quite varied, with local specialties like Hou'an noodles and pickled rice noodles available every day. I'd definitely come back again if I have the chance!
