The room was good; not luxurious, but it met all basic needs, including USB outlets which saved me the hassle of not having an adapter. Cleaning was prompt and thorough. The staff were quite welcoming, and there was a young lady at the front desk who spoke some Chinese. Breakfast didn't have a huge variety, but there was enough to fill up. The pool water was clean, and they vacuumed it daily. There was a performance on Friday night. The beach is nice for a stroll, but I wouldn't recommend swimming in the sea. They have their own mini-mart, and if you turn right out of the hotel, there's a FamilyMart. A 10-minute walk will get you to restaurants, bars, and a small, not-too-busy shopping complex. Turning left, you'll find more restaurants, and a 15-minute walk leads to a food court, supermarket, and various shops. There's a bus stop right outside, and taxis are easy to get. It's about a 40-minute ride to George Town and Penang Hill, and around 50 minutes to the airport.

this hotel is good overall, but when we arrived, they told us that we didn't have a booking with them and they couldn't locate our booking and details. the room was also said to be taken, and they are waiting for a cancellation in order to get our room. There is a lot of confusion among staff. some visitors were told to leave their rooms once they have entered. we waiting 1 hr 30 min to get our room. so check in was at 4.30pm. parking was also very inconvenient, as we had to park at the basement, which was impossible to even get one if you came into the hotel late and a T&G card was also needed to get validated before leaving the hotel if we wanted a free spot. Room was very spacious and clean. the tea and coffee was hard like its never been changed.

Stayed for two (2) night, but the room at the time we check in there are little ants below the tv, in the floor and also in the bed. We called the room service to clean up again the room, but it seems the room service is not well trained. Also in the second day, they gave new towel but the old one did not pick up we have eight (8) towels. We inform the room service because we need hand towel, but they bring towel again. We ask them to pick up the old towel. The amenities is ok, but for mineral water better hotel provide pitcher and water dispenser. Many hotels now doing that. The hotel will charge RM 1.5/bottle for additional mineral water. Small things that make us not happy. Before we stayed at Hompton, we stayed at international hotel chain in Georgetown and they provide pitcher and water dispenser in each floor. Just fill the pitcher and tumbler as much as we need. Breakfast is good, so many varieties of food and mostly all is ok. Nasi lemak is the best since 3-4 years ago I stayed there.

Great Stay with Beautiful Sea Views We had a wonderful 5D/4N stay at Tanjung Point Residence and were delighted with a complimentary upgrade to a 3-bedroom unit. The beautiful sea view was a real highlight, and it was wonderful to wake up to the gentle sound of the waves. The apartment was very clean, spacious and well maintained, with excellent facilities and amenities. Everything was in great working condition. We especially loved the thick, fluffy towels and comfortable pillows. The direct access to the beach was another highlight, with sea sports facilities available as well. The only downside is that it’s about a 25–30 minute drive to Georgetown. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would definitely return. Highly recommended!

This hotel is truly the best – clean, comfortable, and very private. Every aspect was satisfying. Many say it has a Bali-like vibe, which might be true since I've never been to Bali myself 😅. Don't worry about parking, it's very close to the rooms, though it can be a bit challenging and requires some advanced parking skills 🤣. For food, the resort has 'Blue-Blue' and 'Red-Red' restaurants, but the prices can make your eyes water if you're an average Joe, even with a guest discount. Other than that, it's perfect! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Oh, and I almost forgot, for those who love OOTDs or taking photos, this place has amazing photo spots, no lies 👌🏼

A hidden hotel in a deep alley ・Good A small beach is just 100m away. The rooms are on the second floor and are facing the sea and residential, but let's choose the sea side. It's great to see the ocean at this price point. The room made the bed every day, and the shower has hot water. It seems to be well maintained. And no adhan is heard. ・Concerns The size of the room is on par with Japanese business hotels, that is, it is small. In addition, since it is a hotel for overnight stays without meals, there are concerns about security, so it is better to avoid it for single women and families. It's a Chinese environment, so you can hear firecrackers going off and people making noise in the corridor or outside at night. It may be better to avoid celebrations such as the Chinese New Year. ・Remark This hotel is located in a mausoleum Therefore, you can appreciate the uniqueness of the Chinese atmosphere. The lobby is on the 1st floor, but sometimes it's closed because the janitor is out to make the bed. Also, I visited at 12 o'clock before check-in, but it seemed that it was ready and I was put in the room, so I can expect a flexible response.

This is actually my 3rd time staying here, and I guess that says a lot! 😂 I love their bed and pillows so much that apparently my husband and I just keep coming back here as if there are no other hotels in Penang anymore hahaha. The vibe and environment are great, the service is good, and the staff are always so friendly. Honestly, I don’t have any issues at all with my stay. Everything has been pleasant and comfortable, and I already know I’ll be coming back again! Also, if you’re staying here, you HAVE to try the In-Room Dining. There’s this burger called “The Beast Burger” (if I remember the name correctly), and it was honestly heaven. The last time I stayed here, I ordered it twice because it was THAT good. Definitely recommend giving it a try! Overall, another great stay, and I’m sure this won’t be my last. ❤️

The location was very convenient, with fast-food restaurants and a moderately sized shopping mall within walking distance. I was particularly pleased with the secure parking arrangement, as the guest parking area is separated from the residents’ parking. The mattresses were very comfortable and allowed us to enjoy a good night’s sleep. The kitchen was fully equipped with basic appliances and utensils, making it easy for my family to prepare and manage our meals. The studio space was also well organised, with nicely separated areas for watching TV, sleeping and cooking. Overall, it was a comfortable and enjoyable stay for my family. I would gladly recommend this place to others and will definitely stay here again. Thank you!

Actually I really like the layout and beautiful view of this room, but unfortunately I saw a few rat poops on the balcony. Then I also saw dust under the table and there was a little trash from the previous guest. I think the cleaner was not patient and detailed in cleaning the room. During the check-in process I had a little difficulty because I was not told in advance how to check in especially since it was a self check-in. I had to ask the receptionist first, then she gave me the agent's number. By the way, agent Allan is very humble and friendly, recommended! Overall I am happy to stay here besides of a little flaw, because access to the beach is just a run behind the hotel.

The location of this Airbnb was fantastic and very convenient for exploring the city. The host was also polite and responsive during our stay. However, the apartment itself was a bit disappointing. The cleanliness wasn't up to standard, as we found dust on the furniture and the bathroom could have been scrubbed better. It’s an okay place if you just need a bed for the night, but it definitely needs some deep cleaning and maintenance.

We vacationed in September 2025, for 4 days it cost 14k rubles. + 70 ringgit for early check-in (check-in at 15.00, we arrived at 9 am. The location is quite convenient, 5 minutes walk from the wild beach, during the entire holiday we did not meet anyone at sea. The water in the sea is at the level of Vietnam, Nha Trang. We saw one jellyfish, there are also sharp stones if you go too far, especially during low tide. The room has everything you need: a shower, air conditioning, a double and single bed. I would like to note the presence of a large fan on the ceiling (I have never seen one before), which ventilates quite well = we rarely used the air conditioning, since I constantly get sick from it. A 5-minute walk from the Seven Eleven store. A 10-minute walk from coffee shops and a food court + places for breakfast. Of the minuses: no refrigerator (you can ask to use the common one at the reception.) No safe = documents and wallet are always with you. The staff is hospitable and speaks English, which facilitates communication if there are questions. Plus, the room is cleaned at a time convenient for the guests, and not as it usually happens - they come to clean, and you are, for example, in the toilet without underwear (optional). Also, some rooms are equipped with a balcony with a picturesque view of the mountain and the sea. And the atmosphere on the balcony is also smoking) Sometimes things fly off the handrail on the balcony just from the wind, so I recommend securing them with something. In general, if you, like us, need a shower and a place to spend the night from the hotel, I recommend it 100%. There is no point in overpaying. Terima kasih atas keramahan!
