🏮 丽江古城必走路线

老实讲，我一开始进丽江古城的时候是有点“乱走”的，因为里面真的很多小巷子，一不小心就会走进很安静、很 local 的角落 😂 但走多几次之后，我才慢慢抓到一个很舒服的路线，不会太赶，又可以把精华都走到。

📍 四方街（一定要先到这里）

基本上你一进古城，很自然就会走到四方街。这里算是最中心的位置，人会比较多，有表演、有小摊，也比较热闹。我通常会先在这里随便走一下，感受一下“啊我真的到丽江了”的感觉。

📍 随便拐进小巷子（最惊喜的部分）

接下来我最喜欢的其实不是主街，而是那些小巷子。你真的可以随便走，看到哪条安静就拐进去。石板路 + 小桥 + 水流声，那种感觉很 chill，很像马来西亚去一些老街但更有氛围感。有时候还会走到没有什么游客的地方，会看到当地人生活的样子，很真实。

📍 狮子山观景台（看整个古城）

走到有点累的时候，我会慢慢走上狮子山。上面可以看到整个丽江古城的红屋顶，还有远远的山景。建议傍晚去，会有一点点凉风，光线也很美，很适合拍照或发呆。

在丽江古城吃东西这件事，我觉得可以用一句话总结：不用找太高级，但一定要“有地方味”才有感觉 😄 我自己是属于那种走累了就看到什么想吃什么的人，反而意外吃到几家还不错的。

🥩 纳西烤肉（一定要试）

这个真的蛮推荐的，基本上每一条巷子都可能会看到。烤肉是那种偏香、带一点焦香味的，配上蘸料吃会很上头。我个人觉得很适合边走边累，然后坐下来慢慢吃。

🍜 过桥米线（云南经典）

这个算是来云南一定会遇到的食物。汤底很热很香，配料自己加，有点像“自己 DIY 一碗热汤面”的感觉。如果天气冷的时候吃，会特别舒服。

🍮 鸡豆凉粉（有点特别但值得试）

这个算是比较 local 的小吃，口感是凉凉滑滑的。一开始我有点不习惯，但吃几口之后其实蛮清爽，适合走累的时候解腻。

如果你想要“打开门就是古城”的感觉，那就直接住古城里面。
优点是：一出门就是小巷子、咖啡店、灯笼街，晚上可以慢慢散步回民宿，很有feel。

但我会建议你选靠近入口或比较外围一点的位置，不要太深，因为真的要拖行李走石板路会有点累。

I previously stayed at Lux Chongzuo and absolutely loved the hotel. So, when I came to Lijiang this time, I naturally chose Lux again. The service was as thoughtful and attentive as ever; upon check-in, we were greeted with pastries, tea, and welcome fruit. We stayed in the first phase, which required a bit more walking to get to, but it was closer to the bustling downtown area. Breakfast was quite extensive, served à la carte, and included local specialties like rice noodles, Er’si (a type of rice cake), and Lijiang Baba (a local pancake). My only suggestion would be to provide some bottled water for guests to take with them when heading out, which would be very convenient for sightseeing.

Environment: I had no idea I'd be able to see snow-capped mountains before I arrived! It's absolutely stunning here!! The weather has been fantastic these past few days! Service: When we arrived at the ancient town entrance in the evening, the hotel staff had a tuk-tuk 🛺 to help with our luggage 🧳. Cars aren't allowed inside the ancient town, so this service was very thoughtful 💕. Breakfast: The breakfast here is truly excellent!! For main courses, they offer specialty rice noodles and wontons, and even as a late riser, I went down at 10:00 AM and there was still plenty available! The portions are so generous they could double as lunch! Absolutely delicious! Room: The bed is so comfortable, I felt like sleeping the moment I lay down 💤! The front desk lady is also very lovely, her voice is so soft and sweet, and her service is very attentive!

I stayed for two nights at the Hotel Indigo Lijiang Old Town, and it was by far the best accommodation experience during my entire Yunnan road trip. I truly can't recommend it enough! The hotel boasts a superb location at the south gate of the Old Town, just a few minutes' walk to Sifang Street. While nestled right next to the bustling Old Town, the hotel's courtyard remains exceptionally quiet and serene, perfectly balancing the lively atmosphere with a peaceful retreat. The overall design seamlessly integrates the culture of the Tea-Horse Road caravans, with thoughtful touches everywhere – from the saddle-shaped front desk and horseshoe-shaped hardware to the Naxi-inspired soft furnishings – truly creating an immersive ambiance. I must particularly commend the entire staff for their attentive and proactive service throughout my stay: the bellhop readily helped with my heavy luggage, the front desk patiently explained routes for exploring the Old Town and recommended local eateries. Any last-minute requests were handled with incredible speed. Housekeeping was meticulous and thorough, and the bedding was soft and comfortable, ensuring I got a good night's sleep after days of travel and sightseeing. The room's amenities were high-quality, facilities were complete, and privacy was excellent. The breakfast included a fantastic array of authentic Lijiang local snacks, all with genuine flavors. Staying here allows you to easily explore the Old Town while also escaping the hustle and bustle for some peaceful rest. The room was clean and tidy, with high-end bedding and bathroom facilities. Located in the heart of the ancient town, it's super convenient for getting around, yet quiet and peaceful. All my travel fatigue was cured by a dip in the private hot spring. It's incredibly romantic and rejuvenating. If you're coming to Lijiang, blindly book this place!

It was fully smart-equipped, the bedding and mattress were super comfortable for sleeping, and it had a smart toilet and all the smart toiletries you could ask for. Cleanliness: The room was spotless and tidy. The cleaning lady was also lovely, always providing service with a smile. Environment: The environment was absolutely stunning, clearly decorated with great care by the owner. It was incredibly picturesque, and the Monet Garden at the entrance was just gorgeous. Service: The owner couple were truly hospitable. Staying here felt just like being at home. We could always find them in the tea room if we needed anything, and they were always responsive. This is exactly what a guesthouse experience in Lijiang should be like. The courtyard has two cherry trees that are starting to turn red. It's a shame we arrived a bit early and they weren't ripe yet. I'll definitely come back to pick cherries next time!

There is a balcony upstairs where you can see the snow-capped mountains. We also watched the sunrise. The boss was very enthusiastic and we went there during the Chinese New Year. On New Year's Eve, we organized a New Year's Eve dinner and dumplings for the hotel guests. It was very lively with more than 30 people. The disadvantage is that the wooden house makes a lot of noise if there are children running upstairs.

We really enjoyed our 3-night stay at this traditional house. The location was excellent—it’s not far from the gate, so there was less walking whenever we wanted to go outside the ancient town. Halal food was also easy to find nearby. The staff were incredibly helpful. They asked about our itinerary and offered assistance throughout our stay. They also helped us arrange a motorcycle to transport our luggage when we checked out, which made everything so much easier. I loved everything about our stay here. Thank you so much for your warm hospitality! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting the ancient town.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Su Yin Tang in Lijiang, and my experience was truly wonderful. The hosts were incredibly friendly, warm, and helpful throughout our stay. What made the experience extra special was their thoughtful gesture of preparing dessert every night and placing it in our room if we returned late. It was such a sweet and personal touch that made us feel genuinely cared for. The breakfast served each morning was delicious, with a nice variety and homemade feel. They also host a daily tea session, which we thoroughly enjoyed. It was a lovely opportunity to relax, taste good tea, and have pleasant chats with the hosts. On top of that, the hosts generously shared many useful recommendations about places to explore in the ancient city and great local food spots. Their local knowledge really enhanced our trip and helped us discover hidden gems around Lijiang. I was especially touched by their kindness after we checked out. I realized that I had lost one of my earrings, and the hosts went out of their way to help me search for it. Thanks to their effort and honesty, I was able to recover it. Their willingness to assist even after our stay had ended truly shows how much they care about their guests. Overall, our stay was comfortable, warm, and memorable. I would highly recommend Su Yin Tang to anyone visiting Lijiang and looking for a cozy place with exceptional hospitality. We would definitely love to return again!

Lijiang Hidden Gem with a View | Overlooking the Entire Old Town at Anlu✨ Choosing Anlu was definitely a great decision, no regrets! It's the perfect photo spot on Lion Mountain. The interior design is simple yet sophisticated, the rooms are clean and tidy, and full of thoughtful details. My favorite part is the terrace area; watching the old town slowly light up as the sun sets and the breeze blows is incredibly therapeutic, washing away all the travel fatigue. The host/owner is very warm and friendly, never intrusive, but always there when you need help. Even though it's on the mountain, the owner is incredibly strong – he carries luggage with one hand on his shoulder and moves like lightning! He also recommends local eateries and attractions. He even sends us location pins for places, fearing we might get lost! He truly treats guests like friends, and even gave us a souvenir when we left! P.S. The breakfast was delicious!

I randomly picked this B&B for my trip to Lijiang Ancient Town, and the location is fantastic! It's right next to the Big Water Wheel, so exploring the old town is super convenient. The 3rd-floor rooftop garden offers panoramic views of the entire ancient town, with its charming layered tile roofs – it's absolutely stunning. On a clear day, you can even catch the golden sunlight on the mountains, with sun rays sparkling on the rooftops and vibrant flowers and plants all around. The courtyard is filled with rattan chairs and small tea tables, making it a truly relaxing spot to sit and unwind. The rooms are built around the courtyard, giving it a really well-designed feel, and there's even a dedicated hot spring bathing area – the owner clearly put a lot of thought into it! Breakfast was delicious, with congee or rice noodles and some cold dishes, which was very satisfying. Inside the courtyard, there's also a sunken communal lounge area and some charming small garden designs. I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit!

From the moment I arrived in Lijiang, I felt the hospitality. The staff had arranged the location in advance and waited for me at the agreed-upon spot, guiding me through the alleyways and providing helpful information about the scenery along the way. Even more delightful was the complimentary tasting of authentic Pu'er tea – the aroma of which soothed my travel fatigue – a truly delightful experience. I have to rave about this guesthouse – it's incredibly welcoming! Tucked away inside the ancient city, it's just a six-minute walk to an entrance/exit, making it super convenient for getting around. When we arrived at the intersection, the housekeeper was already waiting for us and arranged a trishaw to carry our luggage. This saved us from dragging our suitcases over the bumpy stone paths, which was incredibly thoughtful. The owner is exceptionally warm and engaging, not at all perfunctory. I used to stay in hotels, but this time, wanting to better experience the local culture in Lijiang Old Town, I chose a guesthouse. From the moment we checked in, the owner, like a friend, brewed us tea and offered us flower cakes and dried beef. As soon as we entered our room, the daily afternoon tea set arrived: tiramisu tarts made with real cream, fresh and crisp strawberries and blueberries, and freshly cut cantaloupe and watermelon. I'm very sensitive to smells, and the room's air freshener and toiletries had a scent similar to Le Labo, which was lovely. The room offered great views of the snow-capped mountains. The guesthouse's location on the main street was perfect – lively but quiet. Even as a light sleeper, I was never disturbed by the street noise. Whenever I stayed elsewhere in Yunnan, I unconsciously compared it to this place. This guesthouse is truly my 'white moonlight' in Yunnan, and I'll never consider another option when I come to Lijiang again. Many thanks to the manager for the pick-up, help with luggage, and recommendations for various local specialty restaurants, and to the owner for her warm hospitality and sophisticated taste. The guesthouse serves breakfast; the auntie's rice noodles were generously topped, and the owner's cat, Aobai, is both cute and sassy :)

After staying here, I truly feel I made the right choice; the experience was superb. It's very close to the southeast gate of the old town, just a few minutes' walk away. After a busy day at work, I could just stroll into the old town in the evening. No need to wait for a car or call a taxi, which was convenient and relaxing. What really impressed me was how peaceful it was despite being in a bustling area. The streets outside were lively, but the courtyard was quiet and calm, which meant I could sleep and work without any disturbance. The room was spotlessly clean, with no dust or strange odors at all. The desk was large enough, perfect for working on my laptop, and the bed was wonderfully soft, so after a long day, lying down felt incredibly relaxing. The courtyard was full of greenery, and when I had some free time, sitting there and enjoying the breeze really helped to ease the pressure of work. The guesthouse manager was very down-to-earth and always quick to help if I needed anything, but also very discreet and never intrusive. The room facilities were comprehensive: hot water was stable all day, the air conditioning worked well for both heating and cooling, and the toiletries were well-stocked. The price was very reasonable, not like those exorbitant rates you find in guesthouses near tourist spots. It's suitable for both business trips and leisure travel. Next time I come to Lijiang, I will definitely stay at Tingxi again. I truly recommend it to everyone!

I booked a suite with 3 bedrooms. The room was great and pretty quiet. The hotel's location is excellent, very bustling and convenient, right next to a food street, making dining super easy. The hotel facilities are also very good, and the service attitude is excellent. On a clear morning, you can even see the peak of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain from the room. When checking out, the front desk even gave us two small packets of Pu-erh tea. The lady in charge of tourism in the hotel lobby was very helpful and had a wide range of resources. She was able to get discounts for the Lijiang Eternal Love show and other tickets. We decided last minute to hire a car to Shangri-La, and she found us a great car that wasn't expensive – fantastic service! Getting to the ancient city directly from the hotel is a bit of a walk, mainly because you have to climb a small hill, which might be a bit tiring, but it's only about 10-odd minutes.

Although the hotel is generally excellent, cigarette smoking in the lobby was noticeable many times, which affected the otherwise pleasant environment. Service: Our two families were traveling together, and with a larger group, we had only booked two twin rooms. Since our family had more people, the front desk attendant proactively offered to upgrade us to a family room for free, which was much more spacious. They also provided complimentary breakfast for the children. The room environment was excellent, and they even prepared kids' slippers and toothbrushes for all three children. Any issues we had were immediately resolved, and their attitude was wonderful. We had a very comfortable stay. The fried rice at breakfast was especially delicious, and the multigrain soy milk was very rich and creamy. Facilities: There are also computers available for self-use in the lobby on the first floor, and they are very well-equipped.

We arrived pretty late, around 1 AM, and the owner was so kind – he personally met us at the parking lot, helped us with our bags, and showed us to our room. The place was spotless, and the atmosphere was lovely. The guesthouse was beautifully adorned with plants and flowers everywhere, and there was even a charming swing, perfect for taking pictures. The next day, even though we woke up late, around noon, they still had delicious rice noodles available for us, which were absolutely amazing! We ended up staying for two days. We had originally planned to stay longer, but the weather turned bad and it rained non-stop, so we decided to head back home. A great bonus: if you want to try the local flower cakes, the owner can help you contact his friend to have them delivered – and they're really good! All in all, we were very happy with our stay.

Due to the photo upload limit on Ctrip, I could only select 20 pictures, but there are so many more beautiful and expressive photos that I wanted to share. First and foremost, booking this hotel was absolutely the right decision. I initially considered that we shouldn't be too tired on the day of arrival, especially since I was traveling with my nearly 70-year-old father and we needed to prepare for Jade Dragon Snow Mountain the next day. So, I didn't plan any other attractions for that day, but I put all my expectations into this hotel because of the many activities it offered. And the on-site experience truly lived up to my expectations: The tie-dye experience made up for our missed opportunity to experience local customs elsewhere in Yunnan. The light hike with Comrade Xiao Shen, my father, and me was absolutely fantastic! We walked on a mountain with no other tourists, quiet and serene, admiring our 'private' view of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain from afar. We also passed by many wedding setups, a unique sight that I believe most people don't get to experience. The highlight at the end was the stunning Tea Horse Ancient Road Grand Canyon. In the evening, we gathered around the stove for tea. Xiao Shen prepared a rich selection of snacks, and we chatted, enjoying the cozy atmosphere. The stargazing activity at night was also something not offered by other hotels. On February 7th, my trust was not misplaced. Thank you all. Then there's the hotel's location, nestled within the Dongba Grand Canyon scenic area, peaceful and profound. The manor-style design itself is incredibly luxurious. It's also very close to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, about 12 kilometers away, making for an easy drive in the morning. The room's amenities are on par with any five-star hotel. Next, the restaurant. Oh my goodness, it's a crime if this hotel's restaurant isn't popular! The food is delicious, portions are generous, and the prices are incredibly reasonable. I was almost moved to tears. It would be a real shame to stay at this hotel and not have dinner here. I ordered the double-person stir-fry set B. Finally, all the staff. Saying they were enthusiastic feels like an understatement. I saw a genuine sense of pride in their work, especially in Xiao Shen. When there's a resonance between the service provider and the recipient, when customers genuinely feel the sincerity and warmth of the staff, it fosters respect, elevating every aspect of the experience. If you're coming to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, it's a pity not to stay at this hotel.

What an amazing getaway! If you are more into nature and culture....THIS IS YOUR SPOT! It is tucked away inside Shuhe Old Town but you would never know. Once you get there, it is quiet. They are very proud to show you their gardens, their squirrels (they are well provided for), their cats, and what they truly enjoy. We were welcomed with drinks, fruit, and delicious buckwheat bread while we were introduced to the dining area and the movie and games area. Their menu is wonderful. Breakfast is provided and has a set menu of Asian versus Western (i had French toast one morning and pancakes the next) and then an extra section where you can also have yogurt with toppings, fruits, breads, coffee, etc. Other meals are ordered from the menu. The variety is wonderful and the taste and quality are worth it. After traveling throughout China for a few weeks, I really just wanted a burger. The Yak burger was amazing! WARNING: once you pick it up for the first bite, you must commit to it. There is no putting it down. My hands were just a joyous mix of meat juice, cheese dripping, pickle juice, egg dripping....luckily there is a restroom right there to wash up after. Our room was very cute, small, odd, but it worked for us and you could tell it would be cozy come the snow seasons-which we will return for. The odd part was the steps that lead down into the bathroom. I thought, oooo how fun! Not so much in the middle of the night if you are not used to it. But not all rooms have that so don't let that discourage you from enjoying this place. If you are finished walking Shuhe Old Town, there are more options. We decided to walk around the back of the garden. Following the trail, we wound up in a very beautiful park with water and bridges and places to sit. Eventually, we came out at one of the ends of Shuhe. Again, you would never have known because there was no interrupting noises to tell you otherwise. One of the days we took Didi to Baisha Old Town. Another must go! We spent a full day there and still did not finish. Even the rain didn't stop everyone from enjoying everything. Make sure you find the silk art school. It is tucked away but they have a wonderful program. I could do an entire blog on their contributions and empowerment for women but for now, just go enjoy and buy something, support them. Overall, we loved this place and will go back. We were not able to enjoy the mountain this time.

Pros: The hotel boasts unparalleled snow-capped mountain views. We were incredibly lucky to witness the 'Golden Mountain Bathed in Sunlight' (Rizhao Jinshan), and the scenery was absolutely stunning. Breakfast and afternoon tea are included. The afternoon tea's 'pourouda' (a local dessert) was made with quality ingredients and was very generous in portion size. The staff generally responded quickly, though occasionally they would relay incorrect information. Special shout-out to Xiao Huang, the restaurant server, for her attentive and thoughtful service. The dinner dishes were, on the whole, very delicious. Highly recommend. Cons: There were several significant issues with the overall experience: 1. For two consecutive days, we found insects in the breakfast items. On the first day, it was a small black fly, and on the second, a maggot-like insect. This raises serious food safety concerns. 2. Upon arrival, there was no one at the concierge desk, so we had to carry our luggage from the car ourselves. 3. After an evening massage, we ordered a pot of ginger tea which was delivered promptly, but the staff member mistakenly noted the wrong room number during our WeChat conversation. 4. There was a major oversight during checkout: the concierge forgot to load one of my very valuable luggage bags into the car. 5. A neighboring guest explicitly and repeatedly stated they had a severe onion allergy, asking multiple times for no onion in their dish. The server confirmed this on the spot, but onions were still mixed into the food when served. The guest immediately had an allergic reaction and their hands started shaking after eating it. 6. No deposit was collected during check-in. The front desk informed us that any consumption could be settled separately and immediately, which made the payment method confusing. 7. During the massage, the two therapists repeatedly chuckled privately. I couldn't understand what they were discussing, which significantly detracted from the experience. Overall, the natural scenery is impeccable, but there are numerous shortcomings in food hygiene, attentiveness of service, and guest safety.

The best thing about coming to Lijiang was choosing this guesthouse with an amazing view. In the morning, a gentle mist rolls through the alleys, in the evening, the sunset bathes the old town in light, and at night, thousands of lights twinkle – every photo you take here looks like a masterpiece. The room was clean and tidy, the bedding was soft and comfortable, and the Naxi-style decor was elegant and tasteful. The bathroom was dry and odor-free. The courtyard is tranquil and peaceful, a quiet escape from the hustle and bustle of the old town. It was incredibly relaxing to sit on the terrace, brew a pot of Pu'er tea, and just unwind. The owner was warm and attentive, patiently explaining sightseeing routes and recommending authentic local food – so thoughtful and thorough. It's also a short walk to Sifang Street and the Big Water Wheel, offering a peaceful location yet close to everything. My stay here was a perfect 10/10, and I'll definitely choose this place again on my next trip to Lijiang. I truly recommend it and want to thank everyone at Manting again!

You can walk to the main street of Baisha Ancient Town. The town isn't very big, but there's plenty to explore, allowing you to quietly enjoy a 'chill' lifestyle. **Service:** From the moment I checked in, I was offered tea. The breakfast and afternoon tea were delicious, and there's a partnered small bar where you can enjoy a cocktail. They also help with luggage pick-up and drop-off when you arrive and leave. Honestly, I rarely post reviews—but this time I really felt like I had to, because this hotel was the highlight of my family trip to Yunnan. From the moment we entered the hotel gate, we were already amazed. The place is even more beautiful in real life than in the photos. The staff member who communicated with us via WeChat was incredibly helpful—from arranging our transfer from the station to the hotel, to accommodating my dietary restrictions as a Muslim. They kindly prepared a special breakfast for us: rice noodles with egg, along with sweet potatoes, corn, and boiled eggs. What made it even more special was that everything was cooked by a very warm grandmother. Despite the language barrier, we could truly feel the warmth and love in her cooking. The cabin we booked was absolutely perfect. It had a spacious yard, a hot tub, and a terrace with a table and chairs—great for dining or simply spending time together with family. Stepping inside the cabin was even more impressive: a large bed, lots of natural light, and equipped with smart home devices. One important detail for us was the bathroom—it had a bidet and a fully smart toilet with remote control. Since the temperature in Lijiang varies greatly between day and night, we were very grateful that the cabin had both floor heating and room heating. The bedroom also featured a large projector, and above it, a sunroof that can be opened—perfect for stargazing at night. It truly exceeded all our expectations. The hotel area is also next to a very aesthetic café with a stunning view called Yuntian Cafe. For those traveling with family, this place is perfect—the area is spacious and great for kids to explore nature. If you want to go out for meals, Baisha Ancient Town is just a few kilometers away. What I will remember the most is the kindness of the staff. Everyone was incredibly helpful and friendly, always doing their best to accommodate every request. Please never change—your hospitality feels just like being with family. Next time we visit Lijiang, we will definitely stay here again without hesitation.

Staying at this luxurious wilderness hotel at the foot of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain was the most unexpectedly wonderful and healing experience of our Lijiang trip. As soon as we opened the panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows in our room, the entire Jade Dragon Snow Mountain came into full view. The clouds drifted across the peaks, a sight both gentle and majestic. The hotel boasts a sprawling lawn, with winding wooden boardwalks leading towards the distant mountains. Lambs roamed freely, and every photo we took of the mountain scenery looked like it belonged in a magazine – truly an ideal wilderness retreat. Even more impressive than the breathtaking scenery was the incredibly thoughtful service that made us feel right at home. I accidentally spilled milk tea and stained the front desk, but the staff cleaned it up meticulously without a word of complaint. When we returned in heavy rain, a dedicated staff member walked us all the way to our car under an umbrella and back to the hotel. When my child suffered from altitude sickness, oxygen tanks were delivered multiple times throughout the night, available instantly whenever we called. I even left my facial cleanser behind in a rush when checking out, and the hotel proactively shipped it to our next hotel free of charge. With the romantic setting of the snowy mountain and the vast lawn, combined with such delicate and warm hospitality, there was no sense of unfamiliar distance. It truly felt like having a gentle home at the foot of the snow-capped mountain.

I stayed for three days in early August during the peak season, around the Torch Festival, and the overall service experience was quite mediocre. First, let me start with the positives: the room was very clean. Throughout my stay, I didn't see a single hair on the carpet or the bed each day. Now for the negatives: 1. Breakfast was so crowded that there was no dining experience at all. On the first day, I was ”tricked” into going to the cafe for breakfast, under the pretext that the main restaurant was too full. I say ”tricked” because the server said the two places offered the same food, but I later discovered that the cafe's selection was only about one-tenth of what the main restaurant offered. This was totally unnecessary. Firstly, for most guests, the dining experience (fewer people) far outweighs a few extra dishes. Secondly, the servers could have easily informed guests in the cafe that they could get food from the main restaurant and then eat it in the cafe. This level of service is completely inconsistent with the hotel's positioning. Secondly, the hygiene at breakfast was concerning. I understand it's peak season and crowded, but it's unacceptable when cutlery in the table caddies isn't replenished promptly. Moreover, I even found used cutlery from previous guests in the cutlery holder! (See picture). After informing a server, they very calmly took it away and then placed new cutlery directly into the caddy that still had food residue in it! They didn't even clean the caddy! Overall, the quality of service from both the front desk and restaurant staff urgently needs improvement. When I had dinner at the Chinese restaurant, I was also constantly bothered by three flies, yet several servers stood by and watched without doing anything. (See picture). While the view is nice, I would advise against dining in the restaurant, and the breakfast experience was also extremely poor.

The location within Shuhe Ancient Town is super convenient for exploring both Shuhe and Baisha Ancient Towns. Getting to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain is also an easy taxi ride. However, the room environment was really subpar. The soundproofing was terrible, and the room door was heavy and noisy to open and close. Since there's no air conditioning, you have to open the window for ventilation, which just made the noise even worse. My room was near the shower area, and people were showering late into the night. Someone even blasted music loudly in the middle of the night, and no one seemed to care. It woke everyone up until one of the guests finally shouted for them to turn it off.

The best decision I made on this trip to Lijiang was choosing Qinhuxuan. First, I have to praise the owner – so incredibly warm and welcoming! They recommended great local eateries and sightseeing routes, making us feel like we were visiting a friend's home. It truly had a wonderful, personal touch. We stayed in the 'Jixue | Chanyue King Room,' and we were amazed the moment we walked in. The entire room featured solid wood furniture, exuding a strong Zen vibe. It was very spacious, and the bedding was incredibly comfortable – a Mousse mattress combined with a goose down duvet ensured a perfect night's sleep. The guesthouse's location is also excellent. It's very close to Lijiang Ancient Town, just a few minutes' walk away, but it's not as noisy as staying directly inside the ancient town. After exploring the old town in the evening, we could come back and enjoy a quiet, restful night – a perfect experience. In short, if you're coming to Lijiang, I wholeheartedly recommend this place. Next time I visit, I'll definitely stay here again!

Tucked away in Shuhe Ancient Town, this Naxi-style new Chinese courtyard features three entrances and exits, exuding ancient charm. The beautiful wooden structures, corridors, and courtyards are artfully arranged, surrounded by lush greenery. From the terrace, you can even catch a glimpse of the majestic Jade Dragon Snow Mountain – the views are absolutely stunning. The rooms are clean and elegant, blending traditional elements with modern amenities. With a Simmons mattress and humidifier, every comfort is provided. The butler service is attentive and thoughtful, from handling luggage to providing travel reminders, showing great attention to detail. Breakfast is rich and delicious, and facilities like the restaurant and gym are also excellent. Overall, it's a peaceful retreat amidst the hustle and bustle, with a delightful atmosphere. It's perfect for a relaxing getaway or for taking beautiful photos. Highly recommended!

This hotel was our last stop in Shuhe, and it exceeded all expectations. We initially planned to stay one day but ended up extending for another. The guesthouse is located just a few hundred meters, about a five-minute walk, from the North Gate of Shuhe Ancient Town. Since vehicles aren't allowed inside the ancient town and guests struggle with luggage on the cobblestone paths, staying just outside is much more convenient. The owner and staff were incredibly warm and helpful; they proactively offered to assist with our luggage and even upgraded us to a room with a bathtub, which was double the size of our previous room. The decor features typical Naxi-style earth building architecture, yet it feels spacious and grand. You can tell a lot of thought went into the decoration, including ethnic-themed paintings. Every day, the owner greeted us warmly, making us feel right at home. The courtyard is beautifully maintained with azaleas, cherry trees, a swimming pool, a swing, and a pristine lawn, all tidied daily. The guesthouse offers a lovely breakfast; each guest gets a freshly made bowl of rice noodles and milk prepared by an auntie. The owner mentioned the minced meat was stir-fried by them, and it was delicious. Breakfast is served from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM. After eating, it's very pleasant to relax in the lobby for a bit. You can play Go or Chinese chess, and there's a piano and guitar. My boyfriend even played a little, creating a very cozy atmosphere. Sometimes you'd hear other guests playing their favorite tunes. It’s a very comfortable stay with a great living vibe, perfect for a short trip with family or friends. We had a wonderfully comfortable two-day stay. When it was time to leave for our next destination, the owner and staff kindly saw us off. Unlike traditional hotels, this place truly makes you feel at home.

This hotel was a pleasant surprise on our trip, and our experience was absolutely fantastic 🌟. I have to give a special shout-out to front desk agent Xiao Yang. She was incredibly kind and professional, patiently answered all our questions, and thoughtfully recommended local restaurants and attractions. Her warmth was much appreciated. The hotel environment and cleanliness were excellent, very clean and comfortable. We were lucky enough to get a complimentary upgrade to a snow mountain view room. We could admire the stunning snow-capped mountains right from our bed – the view was breathtaking and truly rejuvenating. The breakfast was varied and plentiful, with fresh ingredients. Compared to hotels near the old town, this one is very quiet, allowing for a truly restful stay. The service was attentive, and the value for money was exceptional.

No sugarcoating, the hotel's location is excellent and quiet, set on a historical post station site with a lovely garden. The front desk auntie was also very friendly. However, this is my first time seeing a hotel without air conditioning. While it's true Lijiang nights are cool in late June, the room had no ventilation, and it was 27-28 degrees Celsius inside. My child was too hot to sleep and sat by the door contemplating life. I seriously wonder if this hotel is experimenting on its guests, and how it ever got its 4-diamond rating? I strongly advise against staying here if you're visiting between June and August.

Setting up my home at the foot of the snowy mountains, living amidst the scenery – this hotel fulfilled all my fantasies for a snow mountain getaway. Opening the window, I was greeted by majestic snow-capped peaks, wreathed in clouds, like a fairyland. In the morning, I witnessed the golden glow of the sunrise on the mountains; in the evening, I quietly admired the sunset painting the snow. At night, I gazed up at the brilliant starry sky – every moment was so beautiful it left me speechless. The room had a wonderful texture, with warm-toned design elements incorporating Naxi style, making it both cozy and luxurious. The private hot spring tub melted away all my fatigue. This stay was absolutely perfect from start to finish! The hotel lobby opens out to a huge lawn with direct views of the snow-capped mountains. The butler was incredibly welcoming and guided me every step of the way with a warm smile, even proactively recommending nearby hiking trails. The attention to detail was exceptional. The room itself was an even bigger surprise. Opening the window revealed a stunning green vista. The bedding was incredibly soft, like sinking into clouds. The bathroom's wet and dry areas were immaculately clean, and the toiletries had a lovely woody scent that I really enjoyed. They even provided their own branded merchandise as amenities, and the cube-shaped sofa was a fantastic touch. There was absolutely nothing to complain about throughout my entire stay. Both the facilities and the service details showed incredible thoughtfulness, and the breakfast spread was very generous.

This hotel is located in a resort called Shuhe Secret, which houses many hotels. If you're looking to explore Shuhe Ancient Town, this is a great choice as it's right across the street. The parking can be a bit confusing as there are two entrances, so remember to confirm the exact location with the front desk beforehand. Manager Liu Fei was very helpful, assisting us with opening the tea room and arranging for rice noodles or afternoon tea to be delivered to our room. The hotel's breakfast was quite standard with limited options, so there's definitely room for improvement there.

We booked a suite, and it looked exactly like the photos which is great, opulent in fact. For the price we paid it is incredible value really. The hotel seemed empty and could have done so much better. It definitely has issues: 1. Its location on Trip.com is wrong, even the name differs. Taxi/Didi will drop you at Shuhe South Gate 200m away. 2. Check in time says 1:30pm on Trip.com but on arrival they ask you to come back at 2pm, no welcome, no acknowledgment of how many bags you want to leave in their care, they will ignore you until 2pm. 3. One male staff was unbelievably rude, he came to the reception when we wanted to check in at 1:30pm and “Oi!!!” loudly at us like he was yelling at a dog. In all our lives we never had such greetings. Our reaction must have told him, he was quiet after and quickly checked us in. 4. Lacking in details: a few umbrellas at reception would be nice in Yunnan’s rain, there was a kettle in the room but no coffee or tea bags (Yunnan is famous for both). No bathmat either but a yellow sign “Caution Wet Floor”, no soap at the basin, nothing. Shower was weak and tepid even at hottest level. 5. Breakfast was poor in a dining room with leaking roof. It felt like the hotel is running on empty, and few skeleton staff. On the PLUS side: great location in Shuhe Ancient Town, very spacious suite, super comfortable king bed, hotel does have a few super helpful staff who genuinely want to make it work, even apologized for the rude male staff.

Wonderful first time trip to Yunnan. The inn is clean and have all the amenities I need. The staff are very friendly and helpful, speedy assistance when I request for something. The breakfast mixian is yummy. The lady boss provides excellent service. She helped to book all my major transportation to n fro airport, visits to the snow mountain and musical play and even the purchase of tickets. She'll share info of where are the places worth going in Lijiang ancient city. The various shops I went, to take cultural costumes photo and purchase of silver accessories and to eat are recommended by her as well. She even helped me to book the mini tour for my shangri-la trip in between. You can basically ask her anything you need advise for travel in Yunnan. Very glad that I've chosen this place and I'll stay here again if I do come back to Lijiang.

I chose a six-person dorm, and at around 20-something yuan a night, it felt incredibly cheap. The bunk beds were solid and didn't wobble, offering great value for money. The common areas were also lovely, with a very artistic decor. What I appreciated most was that both the rooms and public areas were smoke-free, with a designated smoking area on the balcony by the entrance. Plus, they don't allow pets like cats or dogs.

I booked two nights and the owner offered airport pickup, which I was a bit embarrassed about since my flight was in the early hours of the morning. But the owner didn't hesitate at all. The driver helped with my luggage, and a handsome guy from the front desk came out to greet me. Their hospitality was truly overwhelming, especially since it was only one or two degrees Celsius in Lijiang at that time of night. It really warmed my heart. The inn's decor was also very cozy, in a Naxi style with wooden furnishings. The owner kept inviting us downstairs for tea, but we were really in a hurry as we had several more stops planned, so we only stayed for two nights. When we left, the owner even gave us a box of coffee, which was incredibly thoughtful. I definitely want to come back and stay for a few days next time, taking my time to explore. A big thank you to the owner, the experience was absolutely perfect.

I think it's pretty good! It's a five-star hotel, and while it's not brand new, you can tell they spared no expense on the materials, with a lot of solid wood and heavy-duty construction. The bathroom fixtures are all from top brands too. Honestly, I was so tired of staying at other B&Bs in Lijiang; they were either not as pictured or freshly renovated with formaldehyde fumes. Plus, the hygiene at B&Bs generally isn't that great. This is a star-rated hotel, so it definitely meets a certain standard. The slippers and towels are all very comfortable, and there's a good selection for breakfast. Afternoon tea can be enjoyed in their tea room, with a Naxi lady serving you tea. The king-size room is larger, brighter, and more spacious than the twin room. I recommend the king-size room. The service is very attentive. On the day of my arrival, they called me and asked me to let them know when I was close, so hotel staff could come down to help with luggage. There's a slight slope and some steps leading up to the hotel. As for the location, it's on the southwest side of Shuhe Ancient Town. It's convenient to get to Longtan (highly recommended, it's beautiful). If you're heading to the northeast side of the ancient town, it's a bit far (you'd need to take a taxi to go around), but after dinner, you can just walk it off. In Lijiang, it's hot when the sun is out and cold when it rains. Remember to protect yourself from the sun and keep warm. Even in May, you should bring a jacket when you're in the ancient town.

👟 一定要穿舒服的鞋子

古城里面全部都是石板路，而且有一点起伏。看起来很浪漫，但走久了脚真的会有感觉。我第一次去是穿不太适合走路的鞋，结果走到晚上直接累爆。

🧭 不用太规划路线，随便走更好玩

这里最特别的地方就是“迷路也没关系”。很多惊喜的小巷子、咖啡店、风景点，其实都是乱走走出来的。越刻意安排，反而越少惊喜。

⏰ 白天 + 晚上要分开体验

白天的丽江是安静、慢节奏的感觉；晚上会变成灯笼亮起、有音乐、有一点热闹的 vibe。建议一定要两种时间都走一次。

🧳 行李尽量轻一点

如果你住在古城里面，真的不建议带太大行李箱。石板路 + 人多 + 有坡度，拖行李会比较辛苦。可以的话带一个轻便行李或背包会舒服很多。

📸 早一点起床会有惊喜

早上的古城人比较少，很安静，拍照很好看。那种“整条街只有你一个人”的感觉真的很难得。
