🏮 丽江古城必走路线

老实讲，我一开始进丽江古城的时候是有点“乱走”的，因为里面真的很多小巷子，一不小心就会走进很安静、很 local 的角落 😂 但走多几次之后，我才慢慢抓到一个很舒服的路线，不会太赶，又可以把精华都走到。

📍 四方街（一定要先到这里）

基本上你一进古城，很自然就会走到四方街。这里算是最中心的位置，人会比较多，有表演、有小摊，也比较热闹。我通常会先在这里随便走一下，感受一下“啊我真的到丽江了”的感觉。

📍 随便拐进小巷子（最惊喜的部分）

接下来我最喜欢的其实不是主街，而是那些小巷子。你真的可以随便走，看到哪条安静就拐进去。石板路 + 小桥 + 水流声，那种感觉很 chill，很像马来西亚去一些老街但更有氛围感。有时候还会走到没有什么游客的地方，会看到当地人生活的样子，很真实。

📍 狮子山观景台（看整个古城）

走到有点累的时候，我会慢慢走上狮子山。上面可以看到整个丽江古城的红屋顶，还有远远的山景。建议傍晚去，会有一点点凉风，光线也很美，很适合拍照或发呆。

在丽江古城吃东西这件事，我觉得可以用一句话总结：不用找太高级，但一定要“有地方味”才有感觉 😄 我自己是属于那种走累了就看到什么想吃什么的人，反而意外吃到几家还不错的。

🥩 纳西烤肉（一定要试）

这个真的蛮推荐的，基本上每一条巷子都可能会看到。烤肉是那种偏香、带一点焦香味的，配上蘸料吃会很上头。我个人觉得很适合边走边累，然后坐下来慢慢吃。

🍜 过桥米线（云南经典）

这个算是来云南一定会遇到的食物。汤底很热很香，配料自己加，有点像“自己 DIY 一碗热汤面”的感觉。如果天气冷的时候吃，会特别舒服。

🍮 鸡豆凉粉（有点特别但值得试）

这个算是比较 local 的小吃，口感是凉凉滑滑的。一开始我有点不习惯，但吃几口之后其实蛮清爽，适合走累的时候解腻。

如果你想要“打开门就是古城”的感觉，那就直接住古城里面。
优点是：一出门就是小巷子、咖啡店、灯笼街，晚上可以慢慢散步回民宿，很有feel。

但我会建议你选靠近入口或比较外围一点的位置，不要太深，因为真的要拖行李走石板路会有点累。

A really beautifully designed room mixing the traditional with modern touches. I liked the location just at the south end of the Ancient Town in a quiet enclave away from the intense hustle and bustle, making it a relaxing oasis to come back to. Some of the staff spoke very good English, but some of the staff need more training considering the reputation of this brand and that there are a number of Westerners guests staying. I struggled at breakfast to get even the basics like a cup of tea. I’m sure the staff know the English but seem to have a reluctance to engage with it so the stay really lacked a personal touch.

Environment: I had no idea I'd be able to see snow-capped mountains before I arrived! It's absolutely stunning here!! The weather has been fantastic these past few days! Service: When we arrived at the ancient town entrance in the evening, the hotel staff had a tuk-tuk 🛺 to help with our luggage 🧳. Cars aren't allowed inside the ancient town, so this service was very thoughtful 💕. Breakfast: The breakfast here is truly excellent!! For main courses, they offer specialty rice noodles and wontons, and even as a late riser, I went down at 10:00 AM and there was still plenty available! The portions are so generous they could double as lunch! Absolutely delicious! Room: The bed is so comfortable, I felt like sleeping the moment I lay down 💤! The front desk lady is also very lovely, her voice is so soft and sweet, and her service is very attentive!

Our overall experience was fantastic! The breakfast was delicious, the room was clean and comfortable, and the hotel's environment was tranquil and elegant. Unfortunately, it rained continuously in Lijiang during our stay, so we couldn't go out much and spent most of our time at the hotel. To our surprise, the hotel offered a wide array of recreational activities. They provided complimentary travel photography, handicraft workshops, and tea pressing experiences. The in-house KTV and board game tea room were also free to use. The decor was exquisite and featured local characteristics. The afternoon tea was also very aesthetically pleasing. What truly stood out was the attentive and thoughtful service. Since it was the off-season, there weren't many guests, so we had a dedicated butler who provided one-on-one service throughout our stay. Whatever we needed, they promptly and properly handled it. For just over a thousand yuan, we received a top-tier experience that felt like a high-end resort. This stay was truly exceptional value for money.

Our stay at the hotel was made truly memorable by the exceptional service provided by the staff, esp Deft, Jack, Kris and Steve. Whether it was assisting with our luggage, arranging buggy transfers within the property, helping us organise transportation, the staff handled every request efficiently and professionally. What impressed us most was their willingness to go above and beyond—they readily helped call attractions to check ticket availability, assisted with bookings, and even advised us on traffic conditions so we could plan our outings better. Their interactions with guests felt sincere and personalised rather than transactional. The hotel's location is also excellent. A convenient back gate provides direct access to Lijiang Old Town, while Zhongxin Night Market is just a short five-minute walk away. Our room was beautifully appointed with top-quality amenities. The robes felt wonderfully luxurious, and the pillow menu was a thoughtful touch that enhanced our comfort throughout the stay. The bath tub is longer than the standard size. My young children had a great time in it. Water pressure and temperature from the shower are also consistent. The lounge service was attentive and polished, although the food itself was fairly average. Breakfast offered an impressive variety of choices, especially on the first day. However, as the menu remained largely unchanged, we found ourselves becoming somewhat bored with the selection by the third day. The kids playroom was small but conveniently located just below the breakfast area. I could drop my children at the playroom after they were done with their breakfast so that I could have mine in peace. Overall, this is an outstanding hotel distinguished by its remarkable staff, excellent concierge services, luxurious room amenities, and convenient location. The dedication of the team is what truly sets this property apart.

I was very satisfied with my stay at Hotel Indigo Lijiang this time. The location is excellent, right at the South Gate of Lijiang, next to the InterContinental Hotel. You can even have breakfast at the InterContinental. Hotel Indigo's breakfast is semi-buffet style with à la carte options, generous portions, and a good variety. The hotel room was very clean and well-arranged, even larger than the room we stayed in later at the InterContinental. The concierge staff were also very enthusiastic, providing pick-up and drop-off services. On the first day, we were greeted with welcome fruits. The staff escorted us to our room and meticulously explained how to use all the facilities, only leaving after ensuring we had no questions. The service felt very thorough! When we checked out, we asked the front desk staff for directions to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, and the front desk agent was incredibly enthusiastic and patiently explained everything, which deserves a special commendation! If I had to suggest any improvement, it would be that the water pressure from the faucets isn't as strong as at the InterContinental, but everything else was excellent. Next time I visit Lijiang, Hotel Indigo will definitely be my first choice.

Big shoutout to the staff! We were heading out to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain at 7 AM, and the staff member had our breakfast packed and delivered right to the shuttle pickup. He even waited with us until our private guide arrived before leaving. Super grateful 🙏. Even our private guide commented that it was the first time he'd seen a hotel staff member personally send off guests so early. The afternoon tea and welcome fruit might not have been mind-blowingly delicious, but they were definitely picture-perfect, haha. I'd definitely stay here again on my next trip to Lijiang.

It was fully smart-equipped, the bedding and mattress were super comfortable for sleeping, and it had a smart toilet and all the smart toiletries you could ask for. Cleanliness: The room was spotless and tidy. The cleaning lady was also lovely, always providing service with a smile. Environment: The environment was absolutely stunning, clearly decorated with great care by the owner. It was incredibly picturesque, and the Monet Garden at the entrance was just gorgeous. Service: The owner couple were truly hospitable. Staying here felt just like being at home. We could always find them in the tea room if we needed anything, and they were always responsive. This is exactly what a guesthouse experience in Lijiang should be like. The courtyard has two cherry trees that are starting to turn red. It's a shame we arrived a bit early and they weren't ripe yet. I'll definitely come back to pick cherries next time!

There is a balcony upstairs where you can see the snow-capped mountains. We also watched the sunrise. The boss was very enthusiastic and we went there during the Chinese New Year. On New Year's Eve, we organized a New Year's Eve dinner and dumplings for the hotel guests. It was very lively with more than 30 people. The disadvantage is that the wooden house makes a lot of noise if there are children running upstairs.

We had a lovely stay at this guesthouse in Lijiang. From the moment we arrived, the host was very welcoming and helpful, making the check-in process smooth and stress-free. The guesthouse itself was a unique experience for us. The property is beautifully designed with traditional local touches, giving us an authentic feel of Lijiang while still being comfortable and cozy. Staying here was one of the highlights of our trip. The host also helped us arrange transportation to Tiger Leaping Gorge. Unfortunately, the driver left before we could reach the vehicle, but this was completely beyond the guesthouse’s control. The host immediately tried to contact the driver and went above and beyond to help us resolve the situation, including assisting with the refund process. We really appreciated her efforts and support. Another great advantage is the location. The guesthouse is situated inside Lijiang Ancient Town, making it easy to explore the charming streets, shops, and atmosphere right from the doorstep. Overall, a wonderful stay with a beautiful property, excellent location, and a host who genuinely cares about her guests. Highly recommended!

On top of that, the hosts generously shared many useful recommendations about places to explore in the ancient city and great local food spots. Their local knowledge really enhanced our trip and helped us discover hidden gems around Lijiang. I was especially touched by their kindness after we checked out. I realized that I had lost one of my earrings, and the hosts went out of their way to help me search for it. Thanks to their effort and honesty, I was able to recover it. Their willingness to assist even after our stay had ended truly shows how much they care about their guests. Overall, our stay was comfortable, warm, and memorable. I would highly recommend Su Yin Tang to anyone visiting Lijiang and looking for a cozy place with exceptional hospitality. We would definitely love to return again!

The courtyard is beautiful, and the wooden structure has a very ancient charm. I booked a room on the first floor with its own small courtyard. It was much larger and more beautiful than the photos show. The facilities were very complete, and the bathroom was all by Kohler. Every detail was exquisitely appointed! The cleanliness was excellent, and even I, a mild mysophobia, couldn't find fault with it! My friend booked a family room on the second floor, which was perfect for our family of four. My nephew loved the tatami in the loft! The courtyard doesn't have air conditioning, but it didn't bother us at all, as Lijiang is so cool. The host was very friendly and thoughtful, helping us carry our luggage to the inn, so we didn't have to worry about it getting damaged. The recommended food and activities were also very fun. I've already recommended it to friends and will definitely stay again!

From the moment I arrived in Lijiang, I felt the hospitality. After the hike, I chose to rest here for one night in order to return to the airport the next day. The warm hospitality of the boss made these two days and one night very meaningful. I felt the warmth of home in a foreign land, which made traveling alone not lonely. , the pet-friendly B&B made me feel the owner's gentleness and care for the B&B. The rooms are clean and tidy, and the decoration design is very unique. This trip is not the last one. I will still choose to stay here when I return to the ancient city.

I used to stay in hotels, but this time, wanting to better experience the local culture in Lijiang Old Town, I chose a guesthouse. From the moment we checked in, the owner, like a friend, brewed us tea and offered us flower cakes and dried beef. As soon as we entered our room, the daily afternoon tea set arrived: tiramisu tarts made with real cream, fresh and crisp strawberries and blueberries, and freshly cut cantaloupe and watermelon. I'm very sensitive to smells, and the room's air freshener and toiletries had a scent similar to Le Labo, which was lovely. The room offered great views of the snow-capped mountains. The guesthouse's location on the main street was perfect – lively but quiet. Even as a light sleeper, I was never disturbed by the street noise. Whenever I stayed elsewhere in Yunnan, I unconsciously compared it to this place. This guesthouse is truly my 'white moonlight' in Yunnan, and I'll never consider another option when I come to Lijiang again. Many thanks to the manager for the pick-up, help with luggage, and recommendations for various local specialty restaurants, and to the owner for her warm hospitality and sophisticated taste. The guesthouse serves breakfast; the auntie's rice noodles were generously topped, and the owner's cat, Aobai, is both cute and sassy :)

Well, overall environment: It's not bad, but I have high standards for cleanliness, and the bathroom is a bit old. Also, the door is really hard to close; it took me ages! Service: There was practically no service during check-in; maybe I was the only one staying there. Check-in was very casual, and responses to questions were incredibly slow. The only good thing was the cleaning lady's service; she proactively came to help when I couldn't close the door, which was a plus. Food: Honestly, it was just average. The pork ribs were very salty, but the salad was decent, nothing special. The main thing that makes it worthwhile is that the hotel bar, coffee shop, and restaurant are all integrated, so you can meet all your needs without leaving the hotel. Also, it wasn't peak season, so it was very quiet. The bar had a relaxed atmosphere.

The hotel is halfway up the mountain, offering stunning views of Lijiang Old Town. Whenever I wanted to go out, they'd drive me to the old town entrance, making it super convenient – a quiet escape yet close to everything. Plus, food delivery comes right to your room. The daily afternoon tea, coffee, and regular tea were all delicious, and the mini cakes and cookies were also high quality. There are 3 cats to pet, and a huge, super clear projector that was so comfy it made me not want to leave the room, haha. ⭐️ **Amenities:** It has an elevator! Floor-to-ceiling windows, a spacious and bright room, with sunlight streaming in – super comfortable! There's underfloor heating, powerful air conditioning, and a humidifier. It's very close to all the attractions in the ancient city; a bustling street is just 30 meters away, yet it's very quiet, with no noise from bars, making it a peaceful place to sleep. The room was nicely decorated, well-equipped, and the bed and bedding were of good quality. Breakfast was provided with vouchers for eating at small shops outside, and this particular rice noodle shop was the best I'd had. The owner is a guy from Tianjin; he's not talkative but very honest and helped with my luggage, saving me a lot of effort. Thank you!

Definitely a 6 stars experience(if I could give a 6 stars even), it has been 3+ weeks since my Yunnan trip ended, wife and me still thinking about the stay with Meiloulanting. It was one of our best stay in china, if not the best. Service from Xiaode the person in charge is thoughtful and personal, his younger male staff is also very helpful in all our needs. Got tons of guidance and advice from Xiaode on where and what to eat(and even some discounts at selected eateries). This homestay has porter service to pick up(and drop off) your luggage from the entrance to Gucheng avoiding the lugging of your luggages over the super uneven cobblestones of Gucheng. Location is right smack middle of Gucheng, walking over to any spot in this area is super convenient. Walking out of the many exits of Gucheng do require some navigation from your gaode app, but nothing too complicated.   The “Tea ceremony - Garden” room is exactly what we have seen on the photos. Room is clean and nice with a nice patio/courtyard where you can chill out a bit if that’s your thing. The already spacious room with that extension makes it very comfortable. Room has built in audio system to play music from your phone via BT accessible beside your bed, a very pleasant feature to chill out in your room after long day of touring.   Outside the room, the hotel is a relatively compact but not cramp environment, nice pond water feature tallying with the more tea zen theme. Although we didnt use the facilities much due to schedule constraints, it certainly a nice feel and it checks out. If you booked this place, dont forget to visit the small rooftop overlooking Gucheng, it has a nice view of the jade dragon snow mountain and its mountain line, basically 360 view of the area do try during sunrise or sunset!  Hotel has a cute young cat at time of writing, do look out for it, although its roaming the city like us most of the time you might be lucky to see it and interact with it.  All in all, excellent place and insane price for the stay. Aesthetic meets quality meets service meets value - an unheard of combo. Wife and me will definitely revisit Meiloulanting if we ever go back Lijiang - WITHOUT A DOUBT.

Lijiang Grand Hotel is a prominent landmark in the city center. It used to be the tallest building in Lijiang, and its 23rd-floor revolving restaurant (which no longer revolves) offers panoramic views of the entire city. On a clear day, you can even see the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. For the price, it's great value for money, as it's nearly impossible to stay in a standard 5-star hotel at this rate. However, if you're evaluating it against 5-star standards, the service (including awareness, attitude, and execution) is definitely up to par. The facilities, though, could use a renovation.

This hotel is quite old. I only realized after arriving that many older hotels in Lijiang primarily cater to tour groups. Individual travelers should definitely avoid booking here because their service model and mindset are deeply tied to group guests. This is the first hotel I've encountered where the front desk phone is consistently unreachable, which was incredibly frustrating. All requests required going downstairs to communicate in person, and even then, the service was extremely slow. The first time, I had just hiked from Tiger Leaping Gorge and was exhausted, yet it took at least an hour to check in after communicating with the hotel (the initial standard room I booked was absolutely terrible, with windows facing a building just a few feet away, where stinky shoes were drying outside. I ended up paying extra to upgrade, but even then, the staff's complete lack of competence dragged out such a simple issue). The snow mountain view room had a decent view, but it had a fatal flaw! A terrible smell! The bathroom was extremely foul-smelling.

The hotel staff were very attentive; they'd proactively greet guests anywhere within the hotel. The standalone villa was indeed spacious. Although the room facilities are quite old, you can still see the high standards and quality of the original setup! However, for a five-star hotel, providing purified water instead of mineral water for guests felt a bit like cutting corners. Sitting in the small courtyard, enjoying tea and conversation, was truly delightful. The landscaping design, arrangement, and maintenance throughout the villa area are all beautiful, especially the view of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain from the restaurant plaza – it's absolutely breathtaking! I had a very pleasant stay at Courtyard Resort Lijiang. The hotel is well maintained, the rooms are comfortable, and the overall atmosphere is relaxing. What made the stay especially memorable was the outstanding service from the staff, particularly Luna and Gong Lin. They were always cheerful, welcoming, and eager to help. They kindly lent me a charger when I needed one and also helped arrange a local tour guide by providing a reliable contact. Their warm hospitality and willingness to go the extra mile made a significant difference to my experience. The only area that could be improved is the enforcement of the no-smoking policy. Although the hotel is generally excellent, cigarette smoking in the lobby was noticeable many times, which affected the otherwise pleasant environment. Overall, I had a wonderful stay and would gladly recommend this hotel, especially because of the exceptional service provided by Luna and Gong Lin. Breakfast spread should accommodate vegans and vegetarian friendly.

The hotel was exceptionally clean and comfortable! I stayed in a mountain view room and could enjoy an unobstructed view of the mountains right from my bed. I could even see one of the peaks of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, and if luck and weather permitted, I might have caught a beautiful sunrise. (The photo below was taken from inside the room looking out.) The hotel's breakfast was also quite generous, allowing us to sleep in, wake up naturally, and then enjoy a hearty meal before heading out to explore! My mom absolutely loved the laundry room; she could wash and dry our clothes every day, avoiding the hassle of a pile of laundry back home. The service was also excellent; if you went out, all you had to do was write a note, and the room attendant would deliver your clean clothes to your room. The front desk staff were equally attentive. I had booked my room online and realized I hadn't made the best choice, but the front desk went above and beyond to help me switch to the most satisfying room! Seriously, big thumbs up to this hotel! 👍

We arrived pretty late, around 1 AM, and the owner was so kind – he personally met us at the parking lot, helped us with our bags, and showed us to our room. The place was spotless, and the atmosphere was lovely. The guesthouse was beautifully adorned with plants and flowers everywhere, and there was even a charming swing, perfect for taking pictures. The next day, even though we woke up late, around noon, they still had delicious rice noodles available for us, which were absolutely amazing! We ended up staying for two days. We had originally planned to stay longer, but the weather turned bad and it rained non-stop, so we decided to head back home. A great bonus: if you want to try the local flower cakes, the owner can help you contact his friend to have them delivered – and they're really good! All in all, we were very happy with our stay.

It is right next to the primary school, and it is easy to find when you come back after going out for a walk. This was the best hotel I stayed at in Yunnan, and it wasn't even expensive. The room was huge, and the environment was fantastic. It's the kind of place where you could just relax and do nothing all day. It felt a bit wasted with just one person, haha. The only thing was that the restaurant recommended by the butler had portions that were too big for me, which wasn't ideal. There are plenty of other dining options nearby though.

Wonderful first time trip to Yunnan. The inn is clean and have all the amenities I need. The staff are very friendly and helpful, speedy assistance when I request for something. The breakfast mixian is yummy. The lady boss provides excellent service. She helped to book all my major transportation to n fro airport, visits to the snow mountain and musical play and even the purchase of tickets. She'll share info of where are the places worth going in Lijiang ancient city. The various shops I went, to take cultural costumes photo and purchase of silver accessories and to eat are recommended by her as well. She even helped me to book the mini tour for my shangri-la trip in between. You can basically ask her anything you need advise for travel in Yunnan. Very glad that I've chosen this place and I'll stay here again if I do come back to Lijiang.

Banyan Tree Lijiang is the only choice for a stay in beautiful Lijiang! During my week-long relaxing vacation in Lijiang, Banyan Tree provided an unparalleled service experience. The hotel proactively reached out, and I had a dedicated butler, Elin, who added me on WeChat to assist me. A special driver was dispatched to pick me up at the airport in advance. Elin would actively ask daily if I needed anything, arranging for hot spring water changes, linen replacements, and room cleaning. Every evening, without disturbing us, she would come for turndown service and leave a special Banyan Tree gift. The breakfast service was also excellent, with a wide variety of Chinese and Western dishes, as well as local specialties. We could enjoy breakfast by the lake, admiring the beautiful scenery, and even feed the koi and little geese! On our last day, due to my own reasons, I checked into another hotel. When I informed Elin, the hotel thoughtfully sent a car to pick us up from the other hotel and drop us off at the airport. Thank you, Banyan Tree, for providing a warm home away from home.

Service: The service was impeccable! I couldn't book the same room type for two consecutive nights through the platform, but they upgraded me to a room on the second floor. I absolutely loved the view, especially the two enormous autumn trees (I think that's what they're called) that were in full bloom. Waking up to that view every day was a joy, and the room was so quiet, I slept wonderfully. Original welcome gift: Lijiang's climate is dry, so the lip balm and body lotion were incredibly practical. It's a shame I was a bit rushed and didn't get to experience the activities, but both breakfasts and the dinner were delicious. The only minor drawback was that some foreign tourists weren't very considerate; kids were crawling all over the floor, and people were playing videos loudly in public areas, which was really noisy. Overall, though, it was a very pleasant stay!☺️

This was an incredibly memorable and enjoyable travel experience. My husband spent a long time looking before finally choosing Jinmao Purelax. Initially, I thought it didn't matter where we stayed, but then I experienced the warm service and thoughtful attitude firsthand! On our first day, we took a taxi to the Hyatt Hotel at the foot of the mountain. There, we checked in to get a pass to go up the mountain, then took a bus to the hotel on the peak. (There's a bus schedule, you can contact the hotel customer service WeChat for it.) Throughout the entire journey, we didn't have to worry about our luggage or directions; the hotel took care of everything and provided all necessary information. After checking in, we could use the shuttle service to get to the restaurant or back to our room, though it’s also a short, pleasant walk. Once we got to the room, oh my goodness! 🤭 My husband must have contacted the hotel specifically to ask for a room with a good view of the 'Golden Mountain in Sunlight' for a romantic proposal, haha. In our room, there was wine prepared by the hotel staff and a lovely bed decoration. Oh, how romantic! 😌 The main thing was that they arranged a room with an amazing view, directly facing the 'Golden Mountain in Sunlight'! Both mornings, we managed to capture beautiful photos of the golden mountain with our equipment. It really fulfilled my husband's dream; it’s a view he’s always wanted to capture, and this time he finally achieved it. It was truly thoughtful and touching! 🥹 What an unforgettable trip! Throughout the day, the hotel also offered free activities with different time slots. After afternoon tea, we went for a stroll. When we returned for dinner, the hotel's yak hotpot was, oh my gosh, amazing! One person's portion was more than enough for two. The serving size was generous, and the meat was tender. Even after two of us ate our fill, there was still a large bowl of beef left. It was fantastic to be able to cook our own vegetables – absolutely delicious! We also signed up for stargazing. At 8:30 PM, a guide took us to a large lawn where we used a telescope to view and learn about the stars. It was so romantic! They taught us how to adjust our iPhones to take long exposure photos of stars that are invisible to the naked eye. It was my first time seeing so many stars and nebulae. We were also incredibly lucky that both nights, Leo and Virgo were directly overhead, which happen to be my husband's and my zodiac signs. He proposed to me right there on the big lawn, asking me to hold still and not look back for a photo. A hotel staff member helped him by holding my veil while he proposed! 🥹🥹 They even captured a photo of us with the 'sea of stars' during the proposal. Oh my, it was so unforgettable, so special, and perfectly timed! Thank you, thank you! Back in the room, I found that my makeup brushes, makeup bag, and skincare products were all thoughtfully placed on towels, and the room was meticulously cleaned. (I guess they were concerned about my brushes and cosmetics getting wet.) Such attention to detail makes my OCD heart feel very comfortable! The next day, we visited Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. As we were about to check out and head down the mountain, we had a meal at the restaurant. The service staff and manager, especially a lovely lady named Emily (I forgot to check the name tags of the others), were so gentle and thoughtful. They proactively helped us pack, adjusted our dipping sauces, asked about our preferences, and even chatted with us, sharing some 'secret' travel tips. 🤭 They even packed breakfast and fruit for us because we were leaving early. It was truly a very pleasant experience! The time we spent here was too short. I hope to come back next time and spend a few more leisurely days on the mountain. It’s truly a treat!

The public areas of the hotel are uniquely designed, and they even offer intangible cultural heritage experiences. The food quality is superb. The hotel facilities are comprehensive; the duplex rooms have bathrooms and shower rooms both upstairs and downstairs, making it ideal for family trips. The hotel cleanliness is also great, making for a very comfortable stay. What's more, it's pet-friendly with no extra charges, and there's even a standard poodle living on-site!

The room was spacious and comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The service was proactive and enthusiastic. Amy, the Front Desk Manager, thoughtfully upgraded our booked room to the 'Romantic House' suite. We also enjoyed daily afternoon tea on the large terrace, where we could chat and relax, which was very pleasant. I especially want to praise and thank Amy, Anna, and Xiao Qiu. The day before our trip was due to end, my companion developed severe altitude sickness, experiencing dizziness and vertigo, making it impossible to get out of bed and travel. Amy, the Front Desk Manager, immediately provided oxygen tanks and brown sugar ginger tea for emergency use. Anna, the duty manager that day, and Xiao Qiu helped arrange an extension of our stay in the room. When my companion's symptoms became critical, both duty managers helped call a 120 ambulance and personally accompanied us to the hospital, staying with us and providing meticulous care overnight. We are incredibly grateful for their help and strongly urge the hotel management to commend and reward these three managers! 🙏🙏🙏

This guesthouse is conveniently located near Lion Hill Viewpoint and close to the center of Lijiang Old Town. It's a beautiful place, and you might even spot some friendly cats roaming around! From the guesthouse's viewing platform, you can enjoy stunning views of the snow-capped mountains. It was a shame that there were too many clouds during our visit, so we missed the sunset over the mountains. The room was very comfortable, though the only minor drawback was that the water heater took a little while to warm up. The guesthouse owner was also very welcoming; when we returned from our excursions, they would often ask if we'd like some tea, brew our choice of tea, and recommend interesting places to visit. Overall, our stay was excellent, highly recommended! 👍🏻❤️

The room was spotless and bright, with a powerful air conditioner. Among the three hotels I stayed at in Lijiang, this one was the warmest (the wind in Lijiang in late March is strong, and the temperature difference is significant). The front desk staff were friendly and incredibly helpful. Since I was in a rush, they even brought my stored luggage out to me. There are terraces on the 3rd and 5th floors, and a viewing platform on the 6th floor where you can see Jade Dragon Snow Mountain.

Before checking in, I almost hesitated to come because of the reviews, but I didn't have time to change hotels. The hotel's location is good, right at the entrance of Shuhe Ancient Town, and it's connected to the hot spring sauna and swimming pool. Guests pay extra to use the sauna and swimming pool; I asked and it was 99 yuan per person. If you have enough time, you can stay here to relax, but we didn't have time to use these services separately. The rooms are too scattered, requiring elevators and stairs, making it feel like a maze. The rooms are spacious, but when we checked in, the entire room's electrical circuit was out, only the lighting was working. The maintenance worker came to fix it. I don't know if it was a problem with the previous guest or the cleaning staff. The breakfast the next day was pretty good, shared with the sauna restaurant. The Chinese breakfast was quite plentiful, and there were also some snacks and fruits that the children would like. The food pick-up area is a bit scattered, so you need to pay attention to that.

The toiletries are Le Labo, and they even offer two different scents to choose from. **Hygiene:** When I arrived, they were just finishing up cleaning after the previous guest. The cleaning was meticulous and disinfection was thorough. **Environment:** The courtyard's interior is exquisitely decorated and full of Zen, making it easy to relax. You can walk to the main street of Baisha Ancient Town. The town isn't very big, but there's plenty to explore, allowing you to quietly enjoy a 'chill' lifestyle. **Service:** From the moment I checked in, I was offered tea. The breakfast and afternoon tea were delicious, and there's a partnered small bar where you can enjoy a cocktail. They also help with luggage pick-up and drop-off when you arrive and leave. The private hot tub essentials are all provided, and the service is friendly and attentive. It's really excellent, and I highly recommend it if you're visiting Baisha Ancient Town!

If many hotels use ”design language” to construct a lie about privacy, then Tangting's first impression was one of solidified confidence built on a sense of ”appropriateness.” Before arrival, General Manager Amy's inquiry was polite and restrained, without being overly enthusiastic or intrusive; on the day of check-in, the founder, Brother Qingshan, personally drove to pick me up, his composure not showing obsequiousness, but rather like an old friend meeting. The journey wasn't far, we chatted a lot, and I was surprised to find out he was the first Ctrip customer, which felt like fate. The moment I opened the door, I understood what ”composure” truly meant. In the center of the lobby, the ancient tea tree was not just for show; under the dappled sunlight of the courtyard, it created an almost Zen-like order. At the warm invitation of Qingshan and Amy, we sampled the flavor of this century-old tea tree. It wasn't superficial; it was a testament to the sedimentation of time. Upon entering the room, a breathtaking panorama of snow-capped mountains unfolded before our eyes. The surrounding birdsong and insect chirps confirmed the saying: true seclusion isn't about hiding in the mountains, but about standing by the window and the world automatically turning down its volume for you. Some hotels sell bricks and antique furnishings, but Tangting sells a ”privilege” that allows for complete relaxation. This surprise reached its peak after nightfall. Bartender Xiao Boyu seemed to understand how to extract the soul of the night. The drink he personally crafted was unexpectedly amazing—a perfect balance of sweet and sour, with a finish that held the unique intensity and gentleness of Lijiang. One sip, and I realized that true ”seclusion” also requires this touch of intoxication to complete the experience. Noble without tranquility is merely a noisy dwelling; extravagance without moderation ultimately leads to vulgarity. True luxury isn't about the price tag, but about feeling a sense of peace and tranquility once you step inside. Last night, I enjoyed drinks with Qingshan and Xiaoboyu, and in the midst of our lively conversation, a sudden realization dawned on me. As Qingshan said, the best state in this world can be summed up in four words: just right. And this is precisely the most precious quality of Tangting.

Honestly, I rarely post reviews—but this time I really felt like I had to, because this hotel was the highlight of my family trip to Yunnan. From the moment we entered the hotel gate, we were already amazed. The place is even more beautiful in real life than in the photos. The staff member who communicated with us via WeChat was incredibly helpful—from arranging our transfer from the station to the hotel, to accommodating my dietary restrictions as a Muslim. They kindly prepared a special breakfast for us: rice noodles with egg, along with sweet potatoes, corn, and boiled eggs. What made it even more special was that everything was cooked by a very warm grandmother. Despite the language barrier, we could truly feel the warmth and love in her cooking. The cabin we booked was absolutely perfect. It had a spacious yard, a hot tub, and a terrace with a table and chairs—great for dining or simply spending time together with family. Stepping inside the cabin was even more impressive: a large bed, lots of natural light, and equipped with smart home devices. One important detail for us was the bathroom—it had a bidet and a fully smart toilet with remote control. Since the temperature in Lijiang varies greatly between day and night, we were very grateful that the cabin had both floor heating and room heating. The bedroom also featured a large projector, and above it, a sunroof that can be opened—perfect for stargazing at night. It truly exceeded all our expectations. The hotel area is also next to a very aesthetic café with a stunning view called Yuntian Cafe. For those traveling with family, this place is perfect—the area is spacious and great for kids to explore nature. If you want to go out for meals, Baisha Ancient Town is just a few kilometers away. What I will remember the most is the kindness of the staff. Everyone was incredibly helpful and friendly, always doing their best to accommodate every request. Please never change—your hospitality feels just like being with family. Next time we visit Lijiang, we will definitely stay here again without hesitation.

This hotel is absolutely incredible! Definitely the best I've ever stayed at. The environment is stunning, and the facilities are brand new and highly intelligent. The floor-to-ceiling windows frame the outdoor scenery like a painting, and sitting on the balcony enjoying the breeze is incredibly relaxing. The best part, though, is the 24-hour service; the staff are super attentive and thoughtful. They even provide pick-up and drop-off to Baisha Ancient Town, plus a ton of extra services like Naxi handmade tie-dyeing, bonfires, fireworks, and BBQ. All in all, this was an unexpectedly perfect experience. I've already recommended it to all my friends – a definite must-mark!

The duplex layout of the room is quite unique. Pulling back the living room curtains offers stunning views of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. In the evening, you can enjoy the hot spring on the balcony while stargazing. The hot spring water is genuinely geothermal, leaving your skin feeling wonderfully smooth. The room is fully equipped, clean, and tidy, complete with complimentary fruit, snacks, drinks, and milk. It's very quiet, with beautiful surroundings and convenient parking. There's an electric shuttle service from the room to the restaurant and the hot spring complex. The hot spring complex features three hot spring pools and a large swimming pool, perfect for kids to splash around in. Both the breakfast buffet and the newly launched dinner buffet offer a wide variety of dishes, including many Lijiang local specialties. The stewed free-range chicken soup, in particular, is incredibly delicious! The staff are highly professional with excellent service attitudes, and our butler was very responsive. Our two-day stay was fantastic; both adults and children loved it, feeling right at home. We'll definitely stay here again next time we visit Lijiang. Highly recommended!

There is a WeChat group chat for guests to use to meet each other and coordinate activities, and the staff did their best to be helpful. I don't speak Chinese, so for me there was a language barrier (the staff only spoke limited English, and the chat was all in Chinese so I didn't engage), but this isn't the fault of the hostel.

The room is located just inside the East Gate of Shuhe Ancient Town, making it very easy to find, right off the main road. The guesthouse itself is quite large and primarily caters to younger guests, yet it's surprisingly quiet. There weren't many other guests during our stay. The decor is charmingly antique. Since the ancient town has cobblestone streets, the owner even helped us with our luggage. There was a sweet little cat, we're not sure where it came from, that was very friendly and playful, rolling on its back for attention. We could also enjoy tea. Breakfast was offered, but we woke up too late to have it. They even gave us a souvenir when we checked out! We've stayed in many guesthouses in Lijiang, but this one offered the best experience for its price. We were here on a business trip and decided to explore the ancient town. We'll definitely choose Lijiang Beiyuan again next time we stay in Shuhe.

This hotel was our last stop in Shuhe, and it exceeded all expectations. We initially planned to stay one day but ended up extending for another. The guesthouse is located just a few hundred meters, about a five-minute walk, from the North Gate of Shuhe Ancient Town. Since vehicles aren't allowed inside the ancient town and guests struggle with luggage on the cobblestone paths, staying just outside is much more convenient. The owner and staff were incredibly warm and helpful; they proactively offered to assist with our luggage and even upgraded us to a room with a bathtub, which was double the size of our previous room. The decor features typical Naxi-style earth building architecture, yet it feels spacious and grand. You can tell a lot of thought went into the decoration, including ethnic-themed paintings. Every day, the owner greeted us warmly, making us feel right at home. The courtyard is beautifully maintained with azaleas, cherry trees, a swimming pool, a swing, and a pristine lawn, all tidied daily. The guesthouse offers a lovely breakfast; each guest gets a freshly made bowl of rice noodles and milk prepared by an auntie. The owner mentioned the minced meat was stir-fried by them, and it was delicious. Breakfast is served from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM. After eating, it's very pleasant to relax in the lobby for a bit. When it was time to leave for our next destination, the owner and staff kindly saw us off. Unlike traditional hotels, this place truly makes you feel at home.

The Cross-the-Bridge Noodles were incredibly fresh and flavorful, and the afternoon tea was both visually appealing and delicious. I have to commend Guo, the lobby manager, for his excellent service. He took wonderful care of us from check-in to check-out, always attentive, responsive, and incredibly reliable – he truly elevated our experience. What surprised me most was the travel photography service! I've stayed at many high-end hotels and used their photography services, but only here did photographer Xu Xiao truly impress me. He genuinely puts his heart into capturing memories, rather than just going through the motions. He patiently guides your emotions, teaches you natural poses, and offers tons of professional advice based on the setting, so you never feel awkward in front of the camera. The quality of the outfits was superb, not cheap studio-style, and the photos came out sophisticated and full of stories. Looking at them fills me with happiness, perfectly preserving the beauty of this Lijiang trip!

We booked a suite, and it looked exactly like the photos which is great, opulent in fact. For the price we paid it is incredible value really. The hotel seemed empty and could have done so much better. It definitely has issues: 1. Its location on Trip.com is wrong, even the name differs. Taxi/Didi will drop you at Shuhe South Gate 200m away. 2. Check in time says 1:30pm on Trip.com but on arrival they ask you to come back at 2pm, no welcome, no acknowledgment of how many bags you want to leave in their care, they will ignore you until 2pm. 3. One male staff was unbelievably rude, he came to the reception when we wanted to check in at 1:30pm and “Oi!!!” loudly at us like he was yelling at a dog. In all our lives we never had such greetings. Our reaction must have told him, he was quiet after and quickly checked us in. 4. Lacking in details: a few umbrellas at reception would be nice in Yunnan’s rain, there was a kettle in the room but no coffee or tea bags (Yunnan is famous for both). No bathmat either but a yellow sign “Caution Wet Floor”, no soap at the basin, nothing. Shower was weak and tepid even at hottest level. 5. Breakfast was poor in a dining room with leaking roof. It felt like the hotel is running on empty, and few skeleton staff. On the PLUS side: great location in Shuhe Ancient Town, very spacious suite, super comfortable king bed, hotel does have a few super helpful staff who genuinely want to make it work, even apologized for the rude male staff.

I was in a rush to check in and forgot to take a couple of photos of the room, but the layout and furniture were exactly as pictured—very elegant! The room was spacious and bright, the furniture was antique yet new, the bedding was excellent, and I slept very comfortably. The shower had constant hot water, and the smart home system allowed voice control of the lights, air conditioning, and curtains. There was also a laundry room and dryer, which is fantastic for travelers! The hallways smelled wonderful, and there was a beautiful courtyard. Sitting there, drinking tea and enjoying the breeze was so relaxing! I originally booked one night but extended my stay for two more nights, staying an extra two days in Lijiang. The overall experience exceeded my expectations! It was the most comfortable hotel I stayed at during my trip to Yunnan, and I would definitely stay here again if I had the chance to visit Lijiang again.

I booked two nights and the owner offered airport pickup, which I was a bit embarrassed about since my flight was in the early hours of the morning. But the owner didn't hesitate at all. The driver helped with my luggage, and a handsome guy from the front desk came out to greet me. Their hospitality was truly overwhelming, especially since it was only one or two degrees Celsius in Lijiang at that time of night. It really warmed my heart. The inn's decor was also very cozy, in a Naxi style with wooden furnishings. The owner kept inviting us downstairs for tea, but we were really in a hurry as we had several more stops planned, so we only stayed for two nights. When we left, the owner even gave us a box of coffee, which was incredibly thoughtful. I definitely want to come back and stay for a few days next time, taking my time to explore. A big thank you to the owner, the experience was absolutely perfect.

A super cost-effective ancient style homestay, the boss took the initiative to upgrade the room, we lived very loose, it was super quiet and very clean. Backed by Zhongyi Market, go to other places by car, short walking distance, go to Sifang Street in the ancient city, it takes about ten minutes to walk. A few families traveled together, sitting on the balcony on the 2nd floor chatting and drinking tea, a very good experience, the proprietress also sent us to taste the handmade rose cakes, introduced the route suitable for the elderly to travel. 去丽江古城玩，我自己走过一轮之后，真的有一些“踩过坑才懂”的小经验，可以帮你少走一点冤枉路 😄

👟 一定要穿舒服的鞋子

古城里面全部都是石板路，而且有一点起伏。看起来很浪漫，但走久了脚真的会有感觉。我第一次去是穿不太适合走路的鞋，结果走到晚上直接累爆。

🧭 不用太规划路线，随便走更好玩

这里最特别的地方就是“迷路也没关系”。很多惊喜的小巷子、咖啡店、风景点，其实都是乱走走出来的。越刻意安排，反而越少惊喜。

⏰ 白天 + 晚上要分开体验

白天的丽江是安静、慢节奏的感觉；晚上会变成灯笼亮起、有音乐、有一点热闹的 vibe。建议一定要两种时间都走一次。

🧳 行李尽量轻一点

如果你住在古城里面，真的不建议带太大行李箱。石板路 + 人多 + 有坡度，拖行李会比较辛苦。可以的话带一个轻便行李或背包会舒服很多。

📸 早一点起床会有惊喜

早上的古城人比较少，很安静，拍照很好看。那种“整条街只有你一个人”的感觉真的很难得。
