我第一次去丽江古城的时候，其实没有做太多功课，就是想着“去走走、放空一下”。但没想到一踏进丽江古城，整个人的节奏真的慢下来了。石板路有点旧，但很有味道；小巷子里一直传来水流声和风铃声，感觉不像在旅行，更像走进了一种很久没体验过的生活方式。那种感觉很奇怪，不是特别热闹的惊艳，而是越走越舒服、越走越舍不得离开的那种放松感。如果你最近也有点累，真的会很想推荐你来这里走一趟，不需要赶行程，就慢慢走、慢慢看就好。

🏮 丽江古城必走路线

老实讲，我一开始进丽江古城的时候是有点“乱走”的，因为里面真的很多小巷子，一不小心就会走进很安静、很 local 的角落 😂 但走多几次之后，我才慢慢抓到一个很舒服的路线，不会太赶，又可以把精华都走到。

📍 四方街（一定要先到这里）

基本上你一进古城，很自然就会走到四方街。这里算是最中心的位置，人会比较多，有表演、有小摊，也比较热闹。我通常会先在这里随便走一下，感受一下“啊我真的到丽江了”的感觉。

📍 随便拐进小巷子（最惊喜的部分）

接下来我最喜欢的其实不是主街，而是那些小巷子。你真的可以随便走，看到哪条安静就拐进去。石板路 + 小桥 + 水流声，那种感觉很 chill，很像马来西亚去一些老街但更有氛围感。有时候还会走到没有什么游客的地方，会看到当地人生活的样子，很真实。

📍 狮子山观景台（看整个古城）

走到有点累的时候，我会慢慢走上狮子山。上面可以看到整个丽江古城的红屋顶，还有远远的山景。建议傍晚去，会有一点点凉风，光线也很美，很适合拍照或发呆。

这个真的蛮推荐的，基本上每一条巷子都可能会看到。烤肉是那种偏香、带一点焦香味的，配上蘸料吃会很上头。我个人觉得很适合边走边累，然后坐下来慢慢吃。

🍜 过桥米线（云南经典）

这个算是来云南一定会遇到的食物。汤底很热很香，配料自己加，有点像“自己 DIY 一碗热汤面”的感觉。如果天气冷的时候吃，会特别舒服。

🍮 鸡豆凉粉（有点特别但值得试）

这个算是比较 local 的小吃，口感是凉凉滑滑的。一开始我有点不习惯，但吃几口之后其实蛮清爽，适合走累的时候解腻。

如果你想要“打开门就是古城”的感觉，那就直接住古城里面。
优点是：一出门就是小巷子、咖啡店、灯笼街，晚上可以慢慢散步回民宿，很有feel。

I previously stayed at Lux Chongzuo and absolutely loved the hotel. So, when I came to Lijiang this time, I naturally chose Lux again. The service was as thoughtful and attentive as ever; upon check-in, we were greeted with pastries, tea, and welcome fruit. We stayed in the first phase, which required a bit more walking to get to, but it was closer to the bustling downtown area. Breakfast was quite extensive, served à la carte, and included local specialties like rice noodles, Er’si (a type of rice cake), and Lijiang Baba (a local pancake). My only suggestion would be to provide some bottled water for guests to take with them when heading out, which would be very convenient for sightseeing.

We were heading to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain early the next morning, departing at 5:50 AM, so we couldn't have breakfast at the hotel. They could only pack milk and sandwiches for us. I mentioned I'd prefer yogurt, and the butler said it might not be possible. However, the next day, the breakfast bag contained yogurt! I was very touched!

My friend and I stumbled upon this hotel online, and after booking, it truly exceeded my expectations! It's right inside Lijiang Ancient Town! As soon as you step out, you're on cobblestone streets. You can walk to Sifang Street in just 5 minutes. After exploring the night market, you can just stroll back to the hotel – no need for a taxi at all, which makes you feel super safe 💯. 🏠 The facilities are unbelievably complete: * Smart toilet – Heated seat + automatic flush. No more freezing cold toilet seats in winter! * Central air conditioning + humidifier – The humidity here is just perfect. * Full set of toiletries – Not those cheap sample sizes! These are proper branded products, and they smell amazing. * 24-hour hot water + thermostatic shower – The water pressure is fantastic; showering here is pure bliss 🚿. * They called us the day before check-in to confirm our itinerary and even sent us a guide for exploring the ancient town 📋. * The front desk lady was incredibly sweet and upgraded us to a room with a view. * There's free afternoon tea every day, with flower cakes and Pu'er tea. Sitting in the courtyard soaking up the sun was so chill 🌸. * When checking out, they even gave us parting gifts (tie-dye and Pu'er tea cakes), which was a lovely touch. The room was thoughtfully equipped with all sorts of little amenities, like sunscreen spray, sunglasses, an umbrella, nail clippers, band-aids, wet wipes, earplugs, a shawl, and even a small canvas bag for going out. The linens were very comfortable, and all the Le Labo toiletries and Dyson hairdryer were present and accounted for. They even provided laundry detergent for delicates. Honestly, I couldn't find any faults, except for a few bristles falling off the toothbrush. As many other reviews mentioned, the food was absolutely top-notch, with every single pastry feeling genuinely crafted. Every staff member we encountered during our stay was incredibly kind. When cleaning the room, they even noticed a T-shirt left on the sink and asked if we wanted it washed. Apart from the small room size and soundproofing issues due to the old building's structure – we could hear kids playing next door – everyone was quiet by bedtime, so it didn't really bother us. Overall, it was a fantastic stay.

My recent trip to Lijiang included a four-night stay at the InterContinental Lijiang. Upon arrival, I experienced a slight hiccup, but thankfully, Miya Zhang was at the front desk during check-in. She patiently listened to my concerns and resolved all issues on the spot. The hotel boasts beautiful surroundings, with its buildings showcasing distinct local architecture. The staggered layout of the buildings is perfect for a leisurely stroll and admiring the scenery. The rooms were reasonably clean, though I have a small suggestion: the carpet is a bit old; if it were replaced with flooring or new carpeting, the room would feel even cleaner. The hotel is also conveniently located right next to the ancient town, with direct access through its north gate for easy exploration. Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay at the InterContinental.

This hotel is perfectly situated at the entrance to Qiyi Street, south gate of Dayan Ancient Town. It's ideally located at the historical Tea Horse Road gateway into the city, yet far enough from the hustle and bustle of Sifang Street. My biggest impression is 'small yet beautiful'. Being small, it's a courtyard-style building nestled within the ancient town, avoiding the impersonal feel of larger hotels and allowing for more focus on the guest experience. Because it's integrated into the fabric of the old town, stepping out means encountering flagstone streets and Naxi life, while stepping in offers the privacy of a quiet courtyard. It's not some cold, mass-produced product; its unique character is something I really appreciate. Indigo and the InterContinental across the street belong to the same group, so all facilities and resources are shared. You can freely access the InterContinental. If you get tired of Indigo's set breakfast, you can go to the InterContinental for their buffet, or even visit their lobby to see the 'Sunlight on Golden Mountain' view. I've stayed in both the deluxe boutique room with a courtyard and the suite at Indigo, and I loved them both. The decor beautifully reflects Naxi and Tea Horse cultures, making them truly worth experiencing. Last but not least, I must commend Manager Pu. He was incredibly responsive to every request, from helping with luggage to coordinating details, making us feel truly at home. You couldn't ask for more. I look forward to returning 'home' again someday.

Big shoutout to the staff! We were heading out to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain at 7 AM, and the staff member had our breakfast packed and delivered right to the shuttle pickup. He even waited with us until our private guide arrived before leaving. Super grateful 🙏. Even our private guide commented that it was the first time he'd seen a hotel staff member personally send off guests so early. The afternoon tea and welcome fruit might not have been mind-blowingly delicious, but they were definitely picture-perfect, haha. I'd definitely stay here again on my next trip to Lijiang.

Facilities: The room was beautiful and exactly to our taste. It was fully smart-equipped, the bedding and mattress were super comfortable for sleeping, and it had a smart toilet and all the smart toiletries you could ask for. Cleanliness: The room was spotless and tidy. The cleaning lady was also lovely, always providing service with a smile. Environment: The environment was absolutely stunning, clearly decorated with great care by the owner. It was incredibly picturesque, and the Monet Garden at the entrance was just gorgeous. Service: The owner couple were truly hospitable. Staying here felt just like being at home. We could always find them in the tea room if we needed anything, and they were always responsive. This is exactly what a guesthouse experience in Lijiang should be like. The courtyard has two cherry trees that are starting to turn red. It's a shame we arrived a bit early and they weren't ripe yet. I'll definitely come back to pick cherries next time!

The B&B has two small courtyards, the front yard is filled with birds and flowers, and the back yard has two large swings, which are great for taking pictures. My mother especially liked it. There is a balcony upstairs where you can see the snow-capped mountains. We also watched the sunrise. The boss was very enthusiastic and we went there during the Chinese New Year. On New Year's Eve, we organized a New Year's Eve dinner and dumplings for the hotel guests. It was very lively with more than 30 people. The disadvantage is that the wooden house makes a lot of noise if there are children running upstairs.

I stayed at the inn for 3 days, 2 nights with my friend at the Guestroom - Courtyard View (2 bedrooms). The inn is about a 5 minutes walk from the entrance (Yujin Store). And another few minutes walk to other main attractions. Our rooms were tidy, bathrooms were clean and not noisy. The hotel owner, Paul is friendly and able to speak English well. He recommended to us a nice evening activity on our first day at the inn and, also suggested tea shops to purchase some yunnan specialty tea. Unfortunately, we didn't buy anything but still pleased with the friendliness of the owners hospitality. This inn also provides DIY laundry services and very kind to provide water bottles when asked Overall, a very pleasant stay and highly recommend to other travelers whose seeking for a comfort stay in Lijiang with a walking distance to the old town.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Su Yin Tang in Lijiang, and my experience was truly wonderful. The hosts were incredibly friendly, warm, and helpful throughout our stay. What made the experience extra special was their thoughtful gesture of preparing dessert every night and placing it in our room if we returned late. It was such a sweet and personal touch that made us feel genuinely cared for. The breakfast served each morning was delicious, with a nice variety and homemade feel. They also host a daily tea session, which we thoroughly enjoyed. It was a lovely opportunity to relax, taste good tea, and have pleasant chats with the hosts. On top of that, the hosts generously shared many useful recommendations about places to explore in the ancient city and great local food spots. Their local knowledge really enhanced our trip and helped us discover hidden gems around Lijiang. I was especially touched by their kindness after we checked out. I realized that I had lost one of my earrings, and the hosts went out of their way to help me search for it. Thanks to their effort and honesty, I was able to recover it. Their willingness to assist even after our stay had ended truly shows how much they care about their guests. Overall, our stay was comfortable, warm, and memorable. I would highly recommend Su Yin Tang to anyone visiting Lijiang and looking for a cozy place with exceptional hospitality. We would definitely love to return again!

I was initially drawn to this place by its panoramic restaurant overlooking Lijiang Old Town and the fact that it had a bathtub. After checking the top 15 B&Bs on Ctrip, this one definitely offered the best value for money. I booked one night first, planning to see the environment before deciding whether to extend my stay. When I arrived, it was exactly as I'd imagined, so I immediately extended for another night. Luckily, the room I wanted was still available. The service from Bai Ze was five-star warm and attentive! 👍👍👍 They provided transfers to and from the Old Town and helped with luggage. During check-in, they offered tea and fresh flower cakes, making us feel right at home. When we asked for a one-day itinerary recommendation, they patiently suggested routes for Jade Dragon Snow Mountain and Lashihai. On our second day out, they not only took us to the pick-up point but also checked in on us multiple times during our trip. They helped us book a driver for our airport transfer, took us to the parking lot, and warmly saw us off. On the first day of our stay, there was a minor issue with the ceiling light, and they promptly arranged for someone to fix it. Five-star recommendation, I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit!

The courtyard is beautiful, and the wooden structure has a very ancient charm. I booked a room on the first floor with its own small courtyard. It was much larger and more beautiful than the photos show. The facilities were very complete, and the bathroom was all by Kohler. Every detail was exquisitely appointed! The cleanliness was excellent, and even I, a mild mysophobia, couldn't find fault with it! My friend booked a family room on the second floor, which was perfect for our family of four. My nephew loved the tatami in the loft! The courtyard doesn't have air conditioning, but it didn't bother us at all, as Lijiang is so cool. The host was very friendly and thoughtful, helping us carry our luggage to the inn, so we didn't have to worry about it getting damaged. The recommended food and activities were also very fun. I've already recommended it to friends and will definitely stay again!

It's convenient to do anything when you go out to the main street! The room is spacious and clean, with complete supporting facilities. I randomly picked this B&B for my trip to Lijiang Ancient Town, and the location is fantastic! It's right next to the Big Water Wheel, so exploring the old town is super convenient. The 3rd-floor rooftop garden offers panoramic views of the entire ancient town, with its charming layered tile roofs – it's absolutely stunning. On a clear day, you can even catch the golden sunlight on the mountains, with sun rays sparkling on the rooftops and vibrant flowers and plants all around. The courtyard is filled with rattan chairs and small tea tables, making it a truly relaxing spot to sit and unwind. The rooms are built around the courtyard, giving it a really well-designed feel, and there's even a dedicated hot spring bathing area – the owner clearly put a lot of thought into it! Breakfast was delicious, with congee or rice noodles and some cold dishes, which was very satisfying. Inside the courtyard, there's also a sunken communal lounge area and some charming small garden designs. I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit!

The location is perfect, just steps from Sifang Street, surrounded by countless snacks and shops, yet avoiding the hustle and bustle of the main street – a tranquil oasis. The rooms are spacious and bright, with excellent natural light, and decorated with a warm and elegant touch. The furniture and décor show thoughtful attention, making for a comfortable and welcoming stay. After a day of sightseeing, curling up in the room feels incredibly relaxing. From the moment I arrived in Lijiang, I felt the hospitality. The staff had arranged the location in advance and waited for me at the agreed-upon spot, guiding me through the alleyways and providing helpful information about the scenery along the way. Upon arrival, the front desk was greeted with a tempting fruit platter and a wide variety of candies. Even more delightful was the complimentary tasting of authentic Pu'er tea – the aroma of which soothed my travel fatigue – a truly delightful experience. The hotel's coffee is also excellent, and the second-floor cafe is another great spot for photos. It's definitely worth a visit! Our room was well-equipped, clean, and hygienic. The staff and owner were incredibly thoughtful, warmly sharing travel tips and advice to avoid common tourist pitfalls. Their recommendations truly helped us experience the most beautiful scenery, culture, and local charm. A huge thank you to the staff and the owner! We'll definitely be staying here again on our next trip to Lijiang!

I used to stay in hotels, but this time, wanting to better experience the local culture in Lijiang Old Town, I chose a guesthouse. From the moment we checked in, the owner, like a friend, brewed us tea and offered us flower cakes and dried beef. As soon as we entered our room, the daily afternoon tea set arrived: tiramisu tarts made with real cream, fresh and crisp strawberries and blueberries, and freshly cut cantaloupe and watermelon. I'm very sensitive to smells, and the room's air freshener and toiletries had a scent similar to Le Labo, which was lovely. The room offered great views of the snow-capped mountains. The guesthouse's location on the main street was perfect – lively but quiet. Even as a light sleeper, I was never disturbed by the street noise. Whenever I stayed elsewhere in Yunnan, I unconsciously compared it to this place. This guesthouse is truly my 'white moonlight' in Yunnan, and I'll never consider another option when I come to Lijiang again. Many thanks to the manager for the pick-up, help with luggage, and recommendations for various local specialty restaurants, and to the owner for her warm hospitality and sophisticated taste. The guesthouse serves breakfast; the auntie's rice noodles were generously topped, and the owner's cat, Aobai, is both cute and sassy :)

It's been a week since I left Lijiang, and as I organize my travel notes, I absolutely have to mention this cozy guesthouse. I was transiting in Lijiang for one night on my way from Shangri-La to Chengdu. I quickly searched for guesthouses and found this one, whose pictures caught my eye, so I booked it, thinking it was only for one night anyway, so it wouldn't matter if it wasn't great. After booking, I added the owner's WeChat, asked a few straightforward questions about check-in, and after getting satisfactory answers, headed straight to Lijiang. Upon arriving at the entrance of the ancient city, a guesthouse staff member was there with a luggage cart to help us with our two large suitcases to the guesthouse – full marks for that, haha! As soon as we entered the courtyard, it was filled with beautiful flowers, and the room itself was cozy and clean. My child immediately said, 'Mom, let's stay an extra day!' My child's word is law, so I decisively rebooked my flight, postponing our arrival in Chengdu by a day. I lost over 500 yuan on the flight change, which stings a bit, but considering the perfect weather in Lijiang and how comfortable this guesthouse felt, it was worth it! Over the next two days, Tingxi didn't disappoint. The breakfast was delicious, the coffee was rich, and there was even a cute dog that would come over for a cuddle. This stay was absolutely fantastic! I'll definitely visit this courtyard again if I have the chance, chat with the owner, and enjoy another delicious coffee from the barista.

While the past two days allowed me to visit the iconic Black Dragon Pool and stroll along Sifang Street, I realize that one more day is needed to fully appreciate the surrounding beauty. Specifically, I take a day trip to the serene Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, whose peaks have been teasing me from a distance. A final evening wandering the quieter, lantern-lit lanes would also allow for a deeper connection to this UNESCO World Heritage site.

It's two floors. The environment is okay and the service is okay. The room is a bit small. There is no place to put luggage. It feels blocked wherever I put it. The price is relatively expensive. The water temperature is too low and I don’t even have body temperature. It’s quite leisurely. There are people drinking tea and chatting downstairs at night. Auntie cleans it every day. But it’s a bit awkward to clean when no one is around (it’s not safe if there are valuables placed in the room)

It's very close to all the attractions in the ancient city; a bustling street is just 30 meters away, yet it's very quiet, with no noise from bars, making it a peaceful place to sleep. The room was nicely decorated, well-equipped, and the bed and bedding were of good quality. Breakfast was provided with vouchers for eating at small shops outside, and this particular rice noodle shop was the best I'd had. The owner is a guy from Tianjin; he's not talkative but very honest and helped with my luggage, saving me a lot of effort. Thank you!

The host noticed that I am not arriving on time, and he contacted me noticed that I stranded at the station. Immediately the host arrange some people to pick us up from the station. Thanks God! The stay was Great! Great hotel and clean, and the rooftop have a space for photo where u have the view of Yu Long Snow Mountain. The hotel is at the middle of Gu Cheng, and it is ideal location. 5 Star for Hotel, 6 Star for the Host!

My partner and I stayed at Pullman Lijiang Resort & Spa for two nights during the Dragon Boat Festival holiday. Overall, our experience was mixed. The highlight of our stay was definitely the villa itself. It was clean, spacious, and comfortable. The bed was excellent—one of the most comfortable hotel beds we have slept on in a long time. We had two very restful nights, and the room provided a peaceful environment to relax after exploring Lijiang. Unfortunately, the rest of the experience did not live up to the hotel’s luxury branding, price point, or rating. While the property may once have been a premium resort, it now feels dated and in need of renovation. Many of the facilities and amenities appear worn, and the overall condition of the hotel gives the impression that it has not been maintained to the standard expected of a luxury resort. The biggest disappointment was the breakfast. The Western selection was very limited and of questionable quality, while the Chinese options were equally underwhelming. Even basic items such as the baozi did not taste freshly made. For a hotel in this price range, the food quality was surprisingly poor and far below expectations. Having stayed at many other hotels across China, including less expensive and less prestigious brands, I have often enjoyed significantly better breakfast offerings and overall value. The dining experience simply does not reflect the premium rates charged by this property. In summary, if you value a large villa and a comfortable bed, this hotel may still be worth considering. However, those expecting a true luxury resort experience, modern facilities, and high-quality dining may find themselves disappointed. The accommodation itself was enjoyable, but the amenities, maintenance, and food quality need significant improvement to justify the hotel’s reputation and pricing.

I had a very pleasant stay at Courtyard Resort Lijiang. The hotel is well maintained, the rooms are comfortable, and the overall atmosphere is relaxing. What made the stay especially memorable was the outstanding service from the staff, particularly Luna and Gong Lin. They were always cheerful, welcoming, and eager to help. They kindly lent me a charger when I needed one and also helped arrange a local tour guide by providing a reliable contact. Their warm hospitality and willingness to go the extra mile made a significant difference to my experience. The only area that could be improved is the enforcement of the no-smoking policy. Although the hotel is generally excellent, cigarette smoking in the lobby was noticeable many times, which affected the otherwise pleasant environment. Overall, I had a wonderful stay and would gladly recommend this hotel, especially because of the exceptional service provided by Luna and Gong Lin. Breakfast spread should accommodate vegans and vegetarian friendly.

At the Lakeside Buffet, multiple birthday guests in a group can eat for free, and at Dianxiang Restaurant, you get a complimentary set of roast duck – absolutely fantastic! 👍🏻 The hotel provides free activities like pet interactions, boating, fishing, batik dyeing, and tea tasting, as well as a variety of other paid activities. The fishing was incredibly fun, even though I almost didn't catch anything, which was a bit disappointing. But hearing the excited screams from other guests nearby was still great! The breakfast was also excellent. I'll just share one photo of the eggs – eight different varieties!!! The swimming center has a sauna and spa, but unfortunately, I didn't bring a swimsuit, which was one of my regrets. Overall, I look forward to visiting again in the future and hope the hotel continues to improve!

We arrived pretty late, around 1 AM, and the owner was so kind – he personally met us at the parking lot, helped us with our bags, and showed us to our room. The place was spotless, and the atmosphere was lovely. The guesthouse was beautifully adorned with plants and flowers everywhere, and there was even a charming swing, perfect for taking pictures. The next day, even though we woke up late, around noon, they still had delicious rice noodles available for us, which were absolutely amazing! We ended up staying for two days. We had originally planned to stay longer, but the weather turned bad and it rained non-stop, so we decided to head back home. A great bonus: if you want to try the local flower cakes, the owner can help you contact his friend to have them delivered – and they're really good! All in all, we were very happy with our stay.

Wonderful first time trip to Yunnan. The inn is clean and have all the amenities I need. The staff are very friendly and helpful, speedy assistance when I request for something. The breakfast mixian is yummy. The lady boss provides excellent service. She helped to book all my major transportation to n fro airport, visits to the snow mountain and musical play and even the purchase of tickets. She'll share info of where are the places worth going in Lijiang ancient city. The various shops I went, to take cultural costumes photo and purchase of silver accessories and to eat are recommended by her as well. She even helped me to book the mini tour for my shangri-la trip in between. You can basically ask her anything you need advise for travel in Yunnan. Very glad that I've chosen this place and I'll stay here again if I do come back to Lijiang.

Here's my review of the Banyan Tree Lijiang; overall, it was a very comfortable stay. The room featured a king-sized bed and a sofa bed. The entire place was spotless, and any request we made to the staff was met with a prompt and thorough response. I particularly loved the room layout. The sleeping area with the large bed, the living area with the sofa, and the bathroom each had doors that could be closed off, creating separate, private spaces. It felt as spacious as a two-bedroom suite. It also came with a private courtyard that included a hot spring jacuzzi, with the water temperature perfectly adjusted. The whole garden was incredibly quiet, making for a truly relaxing soak.

I'd had this guesthouse saved for two years, and I finally got to stay there this Chinese New Year! The hotel's location is excellent, right next to Wenchang Palace, offering expansive views. The environment and service were also fantastic. They even have freshly ground coffee for breakfast, which was beyond my expectations. Plus, they offer parking assistance. The price wasn't expensive during the Spring Festival, and I personally think it's the best value-for-money guesthouse on Lion Mountain. P.S. Xiao He made us coffee in the morning and helped us with parking and retrieving our car. Great service!

Highly recommend this hotel! If the weather's good, you can see the 'Golden Mountain' (sunrise illuminating the snow-capped mountains) right from the hotel restaurant. Out of all the hotels I've stayed at, this one had the best service. The front desk lady even waited up for us until late at night. The front desk staff here are also amazing – so enthusiastic, they helped us with our luggage and proactively gave us recommendations for food, drinks, and entertainment nearby. Anything we needed, the hotel staff brought it up quickly. When we checked out, the front desk even gave us a souvenir, which was a lovely surprise. Their service truly made my Lijiang experience perfect. Lijiang is great, I'll definitely come back next time!

This was my husband's and my first trip to Lijiang, and we really wanted to stay in a guesthouse within the ancient town to fully experience its charm. However, we were a bit worried about it being too noisy at night. After comparing several options, we chose B&B House in Shuhe Ancient Town, and it turned out to be a really lucky choice; we stayed in a super satisfying guesthouse hotel. The hotel's location is excellent, right near the North Gate of Shuhe Ancient Town. It's quiet yet conveniently located, and also very close to Jiuding Longtan. The room isn't huge, but the facilities are complete and well-functioning: hot water, ventilation system, hairdryer, and dehumidifier all worked perfectly, making for a very comfortable stay. The guesthouse courtyard is filled with beautiful flowers and plants everywhere, and the hotel's dining and public areas are also very pretty – I loved them. The lady who checked us in on the first day was so warm and sincere; I regret not asking for her name, but she definitely deserves a five-star rating too. She made our first stop a wonderful start to our trip. Grateful!

Also, a big shout-out to the gentleman in the gray shirt, who seemed to be a manager there. Their service was truly sincere, thoughtful, proactive, professional, and heartwarming! This is my first time being so moved by a hotel restaurant that I'm actually writing a positive review, hehe. This trip to Yunnan was with my dad, and I was constantly worried about Yunnan's rainy season. When we arrived in Lijiang, it was indeed pouring rain. On the way to the hotel, I was still feeling anxious about this unfamiliar city. Hungry upon check-in, I immediately went to the restaurant and met these wonderful individuals. They welcomed us warmly, took meticulous care of us, and professionally helped us choose our dishes. The food was, as expected, outstanding. It filled our stomachs and, at the same time, filled our hearts. Without a doubt, the hotel's facilities, design, layout, and amenities are top-notch, but their service is beyond exceptional. During our 3-day stay, the weather wasn't ideal. We reached 4680 meters but couldn't see anything, hahahahaha. However, I still greatly appreciate the beautiful Lijiang and its wonderful people that I met. Leaving a few regrets actually motivates me to return next time. By then, I will definitely see the 'Sunlight on Golden Mountains'! Once again, thank you to all the friends at the hotel and the restaurant. See you next time!

The best thing about coming to Lijiang was choosing this guesthouse with an amazing view. It's located high up in the old town, and the terrace offers an unparalleled panorama – you can see all the blue-tiled roofs of the ancient city, and even the snow-capped mountains in the distance. In the morning, a gentle mist rolls through the alleys, in the evening, the sunset bathes the old town in light, and at night, thousands of lights twinkle – every photo you take here looks like a masterpiece. The room was clean and tidy, the bedding was soft and comfortable, and the Naxi-style decor was elegant and tasteful. The bathroom was dry and odor-free. The courtyard is tranquil and peaceful, a quiet escape from the hustle and bustle of the old town. It was incredibly relaxing to sit on the terrace, brew a pot of Pu'er tea, and just unwind. The owner was warm and attentive, patiently explaining sightseeing routes and recommending authentic local food – so thoughtful and thorough. It's also a short walk to Sifang Street and the Big Water Wheel, offering a peaceful location yet close to everything. My stay here was a perfect 10/10, and I'll definitely choose this place again on my next trip to Lijiang. I truly recommend it and want to thank everyone at Manting again!

Before checking in, I almost hesitated to come because of the reviews, but I didn't have time to change hotels. The hotel's location is good, right at the entrance of Shuhe Ancient Town, and it's connected to the hot spring sauna and swimming pool. Guests pay extra to use the sauna and swimming pool; I asked and it was 99 yuan per person. If you have enough time, you can stay here to relax, but we didn't have time to use these services separately. The rooms are too scattered, requiring elevators and stairs, making it feel like a maze. The rooms are spacious, but when we checked in, the entire room's electrical circuit was out, only the lighting was working. The maintenance worker came to fix it. I don't know if it was a problem with the previous guest or the cleaning staff. The breakfast the next day was pretty good, shared with the sauna restaurant. The Chinese breakfast was quite plentiful, and there were also some snacks and fruits that the children would like. The food pick-up area is a bit scattered, so you need to pay attention to that.

The toiletries are Le Labo, and they even offer two different scents to choose from. **Hygiene:** When I arrived, they were just finishing up cleaning after the previous guest. The cleaning was meticulous and disinfection was thorough. **Environment:** The courtyard's interior is exquisitely decorated and full of Zen, making it easy to relax. You can walk to the main street of Baisha Ancient Town. The town isn't very big, but there's plenty to explore, allowing you to quietly enjoy a 'chill' lifestyle. **Service:** From the moment I checked in, I was offered tea. The breakfast and afternoon tea were delicious, and there's a partnered small bar where you can enjoy a cocktail. They also help with luggage pick-up and drop-off when you arrive and leave. My trip to Lijiang was impromptu, and the reason I booked this hotel was simply because of a very basic need: I wanted a quiet, private, and undisturbed courtyard where I could enjoy a quiet drink while facing the snow-capped mountains, whiling away a moment of peace. If many hotels use ”design language” to construct a lie about privacy, then Tangting's first impression was one of solidified confidence built on a sense of ”appropriateness.” Before arrival, General Manager Amy's inquiry was polite and restrained, without being overly enthusiastic or intrusive; on the day of check-in, the founder, Brother Qingshan, personally drove to pick me up, his composure not showing obsequiousness, but rather like an old friend meeting. The journey wasn't far, we chatted a lot, and I was surprised to find out he was the first Ctrip customer, which felt like fate. The moment I opened the door, I understood what ”composure” truly meant. In the center of the lobby, the ancient tea tree was not just for show; under the dappled sunlight of the courtyard, it created an almost Zen-like order. At the warm invitation of Qingshan and Amy, we sampled the flavor of this century-old tea tree. It wasn't superficial; it was a testament to the sedimentation of time. Upon entering the room, a breathtaking panorama of snow-capped mountains unfolded before our eyes. The surrounding birdsong and insect chirps confirmed the saying: true seclusion isn't about hiding in the mountains, but about standing by the window and the world automatically turning down its volume for you. Some hotels sell bricks and antique furnishings, but Tangting sells a ”privilege” that allows for complete relaxation. This surprise reached its peak after nightfall. Bartender Xiao Boyu seemed to understand how to extract the soul of the night. The drink he personally crafted was unexpectedly amazing—a perfect balance of sweet and sour, with a finish that held the unique intensity and gentleness of Lijiang. One sip, and I realized that true ”seclusion” also requires this touch of intoxication to complete the experience. Noble without tranquility is merely a noisy dwelling; extravagance without moderation ultimately leads to vulgarity. True luxury isn't about the price tag, but about feeling a sense of peace and tranquility once you step inside. Last night, I enjoyed drinks with Qingshan and Xiaoboyu, and in the midst of our lively conversation, a sudden realization dawned on me. As Qingshan said, the best state in this world can be summed up in four words: just right. And this is precisely the most precious quality of Tangting.

Honestly, I rarely post reviews—but this time I really felt like I had to, because this hotel was the highlight of my family trip to Yunnan. From the moment we entered the hotel gate, we were already amazed. The place is even more beautiful in real life than in the photos. The staff member who communicated with us via WeChat was incredibly helpful—from arranging our transfer from the station to the hotel, to accommodating my dietary restrictions as a Muslim. They kindly prepared a special breakfast for us: rice noodles with egg, along with sweet potatoes, corn, and boiled eggs. What made it even more special was that everything was cooked by a very warm grandmother. Despite the language barrier, we could truly feel the warmth and love in her cooking. The cabin we booked was absolutely perfect. It had a spacious yard, a hot tub, and a terrace with a table and chairs—great for dining or simply spending time together with family. Stepping inside the cabin was even more impressive: a large bed, lots of natural light, and equipped with smart home devices. One important detail for us was the bathroom—it had a bidet and a fully smart toilet with remote control. Since the temperature in Lijiang varies greatly between day and night, we were very grateful that the cabin had both floor heating and room heating. The bedroom also featured a large projector, and above it, a sunroof that can be opened—perfect for stargazing at night. It truly exceeded all our expectations. The hotel area is also next to a very aesthetic café with a stunning view called Yuntian Cafe. For those traveling with family, this place is perfect—the area is spacious and great for kids to explore nature. If you want to go out for meals, Baisha Ancient Town is just a few kilometers away. What I will remember the most is the kindness of the staff. Everyone was incredibly helpful and friendly, always doing their best to accommodate every request. The environment here is absolutely beautiful. On our second morning, we even saw Jade Dragon Snow Mountain from the hotel square. The public hot spring inside the hotel kept the kids entertained all afternoon. You can swim there, the water temperature is perfect, and the whirlpools in the hot spring play area were a lot of fun. They offer three types of drinks for free and unlimited refills, and the freshly squeezed juices are also very affordable. The public hot spring has separate pools for men and women, as well as mixed pools. The shower rooms are very clean. Our room was courtyard-style, with a private hot spring bath in the small courtyard. The hot spring water here is excellent; as soon as you get in, your skin immediately feels smooth, comparable to Beppu Onsen in Japan. However, the environment here far surpasses hotels in Beppu. Breakfast was also very good, and the hotel's dining prices aren't high. We primarily ate vegetarian dishes, and the prices were around 28-38 yuan per item, which is very reasonable and the food was clean. The hotel is very close to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, Shuhe Ancient Town, Baisha Ancient Town, and the Romance Park scenic area, making it a fantastic experience for children. We're already planning to stay here again for Chinese New Year!

The location within Shuhe Ancient Town is super convenient for exploring both Shuhe and Baisha Ancient Towns. Getting to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain is also an easy taxi ride. However, the room environment was really subpar. The soundproofing was terrible, and the room door was heavy and noisy to open and close. Since there's no air conditioning, you have to open the window for ventilation, which just made the noise even worse. My room was near the shower area, and people were showering late into the night. Someone even blasted music loudly in the middle of the night, and no one seemed to care. It woke everyone up until one of the guests finally shouted for them to turn it off.

The best decision I made on this trip to Lijiang was choosing Qinhuxuan. First, I have to praise the owner – so incredibly warm and welcoming! They recommended great local eateries and sightseeing routes, making us feel like we were visiting a friend's home. It truly had a wonderful, personal touch. We stayed in the 'Jixue | Chanyue King Room,' and we were amazed the moment we walked in. The entire room featured solid wood furniture, exuding a strong Zen vibe. It was very spacious, and the bedding was incredibly comfortable – a Mousse mattress combined with a goose down duvet ensured a perfect night's sleep. The guesthouse's location is also excellent. It's very close to Lijiang Ancient Town, just a few minutes' walk away, but it's not as noisy as staying directly inside the ancient town. After exploring the old town in the evening, we could come back and enjoy a quiet, restful night – a perfect experience. In short, if you're coming to Lijiang, I wholeheartedly recommend this place. Next time I visit, I'll definitely stay here again!

Since vehicles aren't allowed inside the ancient town and guests struggle with luggage on the cobblestone paths, staying just outside is much more convenient. The owner and staff were incredibly warm and helpful; they proactively offered to assist with our luggage and even upgraded us to a room with a bathtub, which was double the size of our previous room. The decor features typical Naxi-style earth building architecture, yet it feels spacious and grand. You can tell a lot of thought went into the decoration, including ethnic-themed paintings. Every day, the owner greeted us warmly, making us feel right at home. The courtyard is beautifully maintained with azaleas, cherry trees, a swimming pool, a swing, and a pristine lawn, all tidied daily. The guesthouse offers a lovely breakfast; each guest gets a freshly made bowl of rice noodles and milk prepared by an auntie. The owner mentioned the minced meat was stir-fried by them, and it was delicious. Breakfast is served from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM. After eating, it's very pleasant to relax in the lobby for a bit. You can play Go or Chinese chess, and there's a piano and guitar. My boyfriend even played a little, creating a very cozy atmosphere. Sometimes you'd hear other guests playing their favorite tunes. It’s a very comfortable stay with a great living vibe, perfect for a short trip with family or friends. We had a wonderfully comfortable two-day stay. When it was time to leave for our next destination, the owner and staff kindly saw us off. Unlike traditional hotels, this place truly makes you feel at home.

The room was clean and hygienic, with plenty of hot water. The cleaning staff were very diligent, and it was a relief to come back to a clean and tidy room every day. We could even see a bit of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain from the side window. The hotel is only a two-minute walk from Black Dragon Pool, and it's easy to get a taxi nearby without getting stuck in traffic. The breakfast restaurant staff were all excellent. Breakfast started very early, which was convenient, and they offered a variety of options like four kinds of porridge, freshly ground coffee, hot dishes, and rice noodles – all clean, hygienic, and delicious. The hotel concierge was very responsible and provided attentive, excellent service. I highly recommend this place.

We booked a suite, and it looked exactly like the photos which is great, opulent in fact. For the price we paid it is incredible value really. The hotel seemed empty and could have done so much better. It definitely has issues: 1. Its location on Trip.com is wrong, even the name differs. Taxi/Didi will drop you at Shuhe South Gate 200m away. 2. Check in time says 1:30pm on Trip.com but on arrival they ask you to come back at 2pm, no welcome, no acknowledgment of how many bags you want to leave in their care, they will ignore you until 2pm. 3. One male staff was unbelievably rude, he came to the reception when we wanted to check in at 1:30pm and “Oi!!!” loudly at us like he was yelling at a dog. In all our lives we never had such greetings. Our reaction must have told him, he was quiet after and quickly checked us in. 4. Lacking in details: a few umbrellas at reception would be nice in Yunnan’s rain, there was a kettle in the room but no coffee or tea bags (Yunnan is famous for both). No bathmat either but a yellow sign “Caution Wet Floor”, no soap at the basin, nothing. Shower was weak and tepid even at hottest level. 5. Breakfast was poor in a dining room with leaking roof. It felt like the hotel is running on empty, and few skeleton staff. On the PLUS side: great location in Shuhe Ancient Town, very spacious suite, super comfortable king bed, hotel does have a few super helpful staff who genuinely want to make it work, even apologized for the rude male staff.

I was in a rush to check in and forgot to take a couple of photos of the room, but the layout and furniture were exactly as pictured—very elegant! The room was spacious and bright, the furniture was antique yet new, the bedding was excellent, and I slept very comfortably. The shower had constant hot water, and the smart home system allowed voice control of the lights, air conditioning, and curtains. There was also a laundry room and dryer, which is fantastic for travelers! The hallways smelled wonderful, and there was a beautiful courtyard. Sitting there, drinking tea and enjoying the breeze was so relaxing! I originally booked one night but extended my stay for two more nights, staying an extra two days in Lijiang. The overall experience exceeded my expectations! It was the most comfortable hotel I stayed at during my trip to Yunnan, and I would definitely stay here again if I had the chance to visit Lijiang again.

The room was very clean, and the hostess was incredibly kind and helpful. She's a local and gave us lots of tips for sightseeing, recommended places to eat, and even shared tricks for booking tickets for the Yulong Snow Mountain cable car. The guesthouse's location is also very convenient, close to the North Gate, making it easy to go out and explore or wander around the Old Town. The courtyard inside the guesthouse has a charming, antique feel, and it's great for photos. All in all, I highly recommend it!

I chose a six-person dorm, and at around 20-something yuan a night, it felt incredibly cheap. The bunk beds were solid and didn't wobble, offering great value for money. The common areas were also lovely, with a very artistic decor. What I appreciated most was that both the rooms and public areas were smoke-free, with a designated smoking area on the balcony by the entrance. Plus, they don't allow pets like cats or dogs.

I booked two nights and the owner offered airport pickup, which I was a bit embarrassed about since my flight was in the early hours of the morning. But the owner didn't hesitate at all. The driver helped with my luggage, and a handsome guy from the front desk came out to greet me. Their hospitality was truly overwhelming, especially since it was only one or two degrees Celsius in Lijiang at that time of night. It really warmed my heart. The inn's decor was also very cozy, in a Naxi style with wooden furnishings. The owner kept inviting us downstairs for tea, but we were really in a hurry as we had several more stops planned, so we only stayed for two nights. When we left, the owner even gave us a box of coffee, which was incredibly thoughtful. I definitely want to come back and stay for a few days next time, taking my time to explore. A big thank you to the owner, the experience was absolutely perfect.

I think it's pretty good! It's a five-star hotel, and while it's not brand new, you can tell they spared no expense on the materials, with a lot of solid wood and heavy-duty construction. The bathroom fixtures are all from top brands too. Honestly, I was so tired of staying at other B&Bs in Lijiang; they were either not as pictured or freshly renovated with formaldehyde fumes. Plus, the hygiene at B&Bs generally isn't that great. This is a star-rated hotel, so it definitely meets a certain standard. The slippers and towels are all very comfortable, and there's a good selection for breakfast. Afternoon tea can be enjoyed in their tea room, with a Naxi lady serving you tea. The king-size room is larger, brighter, and more spacious than the twin room. I recommend the king-size room. The service is very attentive. On the day of my arrival, they called me and asked me to let them know when I was close, so hotel staff could come down to help with luggage. There's a slight slope and some steps leading up to the hotel. As for the location, it's on the southwest side of Shuhe Ancient Town. It's convenient to get to Longtan (highly recommended, it's beautiful). If you're heading to the northeast side of the ancient town, it's a bit far (you'd need to take a taxi to go around), but after dinner, you can just walk it off. In Lijiang, it's hot when the sun is out and cold when it rains. Remember to protect yourself from the sun and keep warm. Even in May, you should bring a jacket when you're in the ancient town.

A super cost-effective ancient style homestay, the boss took the initiative to upgrade the room, we lived very loose, it was super quiet and very clean. Backed by Zhongyi Market, go to other places by car, short walking distance, go to Sifang Street in the ancient city, it takes about ten minutes to walk. A few families traveled together, sitting on the balcony on the 2nd floor chatting and drinking tea, a very good experience, the proprietress also sent us to taste the handmade rose cakes, introduced the route suitable for the elderly to travel. 古城里面全部都是石板路，而且有一点起伏。看起来很浪漫，但走久了脚真的会有感觉。我第一次去是穿不太适合走路的鞋，结果走到晚上直接累爆。

🧭 不用太规划路线，随便走更好玩

这里最特别的地方就是“迷路也没关系”。很多惊喜的小巷子、咖啡店、风景点，其实都是乱走走出来的。越刻意安排，反而越少惊喜。

⏰ 白天 + 晚上要分开体验

白天的丽江是安静、慢节奏的感觉；晚上会变成灯笼亮起、有音乐、有一点热闹的 vibe。建议一定要两种时间都走一次。

🧳 行李尽量轻一点

如果你住在古城里面，真的不建议带太大行李箱。石板路 + 人多 + 有坡度，拖行李会比较辛苦。可以的话带一个轻便行李或背包会舒服很多。

📸 早一点起床会有惊喜

早上的古城人比较少，很安静，拍照很好看。那种“整条街只有你一个人”的感觉真的很难得。
