🏮 丽江古城必走路线
老实讲，我一开始进丽江古城的时候是有点“乱走”的，因为里面真的很多小巷子，一不小心就会走进很安静、很 local 的角落 😂 但走多几次之后，我才慢慢抓到一个很舒服的路线，不会太赶，又可以把精华都走到。
📍 四方街（一定要先到这里）
基本上你一进古城，很自然就会走到四方街。这里算是最中心的位置，人会比较多，有表演、有小摊，也比较热闹。我通常会先在这里随便走一下，感受一下“啊我真的到丽江了”的感觉。
📍 随便拐进小巷子（最惊喜的部分）
接下来我最喜欢的其实不是主街，而是那些小巷子。你真的可以随便走，看到哪条安静就拐进去。石板路 + 小桥 + 水流声，那种感觉很 chill，很像马来西亚去一些老街但更有氛围感。有时候还会走到没有什么游客的地方，会看到当地人生活的样子，很真实。
📍 狮子山观景台（看整个古城）
走到有点累的时候，我会慢慢走上狮子山。上面可以看到整个丽江古城的红屋顶，还有远远的山景。建议傍晚去，会有一点点凉风，光线也很美，很适合拍照或发呆。

在丽江古城吃东西这件事，我觉得可以用一句话总结：不用找太高级，但一定要“有地方味”才有感觉 😄 我自己是属于那种走累了就看到什么想吃什么的人，反而意外吃到几家还不错的。
🥩 纳西烤肉（一定要试）
这个真的蛮推荐的，基本上每一条巷子都可能会看到。烤肉是那种偏香、带一点焦香味的，配上蘸料吃会很上头。我个人觉得很适合边走边累，然后坐下来慢慢吃。
🍜 过桥米线（云南经典）
这个算是来云南一定会遇到的食物。汤底很热很香，配料自己加，有点像“自己 DIY 一碗热汤面”的感觉。如果天气冷的时候吃，会特别舒服。
🍮 鸡豆凉粉（有点特别但值得试）
这个算是比较 local 的小吃，口感是凉凉滑滑的。一开始我有点不习惯，但吃几口之后其实蛮清爽，适合走累的时候解腻。

如果你想要“打开门就是古城”的感觉，那就直接住古城里面。
优点是：一出门就是小巷子、咖啡店、灯笼街，晚上可以慢慢散步回民宿，很有feel。
但我会建议你选靠近入口或比较外围一点的位置，不要太深，因为真的要拖行李走石板路会有点累。

This hotel is close to Zhongyi Market, and even though it's within the ancient city walls, they called me two days in advance to let me know about a convenient parking and pick-up spot for guests, which was really helpful with luggage. It's a great balance – you get to enjoy the ancient city's vibrancy while still having a relatively quiet and convenient stay. The butler service was excellent; they were very responsive to all our needs. This particular LUX* property is split into two locations. Our accommodation was a few hundred meters from the dining area, but when it wasn't busy, we could pre-order our meals and the staff would escort us there. The dining options weren't extensive, but they were very refined. The room also had a humidifier, which was essential given the dry climate. Navigation: The location is accurate, the hotel entrance is on the main road side, so you arrive at the hotel as soon as you get out of the car. Finally, no more dragging luggage over cobblestone streets! This location is a big plus! The hotel is near Zhongyi Market, so it's not in the absolute core of the old town, but it makes up for it with a great ambiance.
Environment:
The hotel isn't large overall, but the flow and layout are very well-planned. Check-in was simple and smooth. The entire hotel is built around the restaurant shown in picture four, and it's only two stories high at most. The overall design is minimalist but incorporates many classic Chinese retro elements, utilizing a lot of white space to blend nature and design seamlessly.
Room:
I booked the Tanyi - King Room. The room faces the restaurant, and on the first floor, it includes a small outdoor courtyard, as shown in picture one, perfect for enjoying a cup of tea in the afternoon and soaking in a relaxed vacation vibe. The room size is quite generous! This really surprised me, it's probably around 50 square meters. Upon entering, the bed is on the right, followed by an open double vanity, a separate shower room, and a toilet. The bathroom fixtures are from high-end brands like Kohler, and thoughtfully, they even provided a large bathtub as shown in picture 13. The hardware is also fully intelligent, with smart controls for room lighting and curtains. Overall, the hardware is excellent. The mini-bar thoughtfully includes their own brand of coffee beans and a complete set of pour-over coffee tools – no coffee capsule machine! For coffee lovers, this is truly heaven!
Service:
The hotel creates a group chat upon check-in, and all communication can happen there. The overall service level and attitude are of a high standard. They don't overly disturb guests but are immediately available to provide service and solutions when needed. What impressed me most was the laundry service. After the housekeeper thoughtfully took my clothes, even after they were washed in the middle of the night, they didn't rush to return them. Instead, they waited until I woke up, inquired about the clothes, and then quickly and thoughtfully placed them outside my door. It was truly excellent! The entire service is reflected in the details. The hotel restaurant and afternoon tea bar staff are also very enthusiastic; when I brought the complimentary coffee beans, they even thoughtfully brewed a delicious cup for me.

The location is great, no need to drag luggage over cobblestone streets. Also, the hotel is not large, so my two-night stay was very quiet. The room's hardware is top-notch, from major brands, and the room was clean and tidy. The service, starting from the details, made me feel warm and welcome without being intrusive.
The hotel is located near Zhongyi Market, which is great for experiencing snack stalls or the morning market – both are fun. The hotel also offers afternoon tea and some hands-on craft activities in the afternoon. Plus, there's a sika deer that you can photograph and feed around 4 PM. During my time in Lijiang, this was the only hotel I was truly satisfied with. I was honestly so tired of those so-called 'owner-run' B&Bs where you pay good money but get no sense of service, feeling cramped like you're intruding in someone else's home.
Hygiene: Everything was excellent.
Environment: Remarkably good. Both the reception and the hotel's public areas are exceptionally spacious for the Old Town. A major plus is that it's just a five-minute walk along the main road from the parking lot. Many B&Bs in the Old Town, even those not cheap, are tucked away down winding alleys with cramped receptions and gardens. This place truly offers the facilities of a proper hotel. The garden is also beautifully maintained. All public areas are lovely, well-equipped, and there's even a play area for children. The complimentary travel photography service also had very kind staff.
Service: Every staff member I encountered was excellent, from management to restaurant and front desk staff. They not only greeted me proactively but also offered enthusiastic help.

The location is convenient for exploring the Old Town on foot, with plenty of restaurants, cafés, shops, and photo spots nearby.
Room & atmosphere:
The property has a beautiful traditional-style atmosphere with modern touches. The room was clean, comfortable, and spacious enough for a family. The surroundings are also very photogenic and give you the feeling of actually staying inside Lijiang Old Town.
Good for families:
We traveled with both a young child and a 69-year-old family member. For children and adults, getting around was generally easy and comfortable.
Important tip for elderly travelers:
The streets inside Lijiang Old Town are mostly uneven stone-paved roads. For elderly travelers, walking to the hotel can be a little challenging. Our 69-year-old family member found the walk more difficult, so this is something to keep in mind if you are traveling with seniors or anyone with limited mobility.
However, you do not need to carry or drag your luggage through the Old Town yourself. There is a local luggage delivery service available for around 20 RMB per trip. You can leave your luggage with them and simply walk to the hotel without carrying anything, then wait for your luggage to be delivered. This made things much easier for us.
Overall, I would recommend this hotel for couples, families with children, and travelers who want to stay inside Lijiang Old Town. If you are traveling with elderly family members, the stone-paved streets are worth considering, but the luggage delivery service makes the journey much more manageable.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Su Yin Tang in Lijiang, and my experience was truly wonderful.
The hosts were incredibly friendly, warm, and helpful throughout our stay. What made the experience extra special was their thoughtful gesture of preparing dessert every night and placing it in our room if we returned late. It was such a sweet and personal touch that made us feel genuinely cared for.
The breakfast served each morning was delicious, with a nice variety and homemade feel. They also host a daily tea session, which we thoroughly enjoyed. It was a lovely opportunity to relax, taste good tea, and have pleasant chats with the hosts.
On top of that, the hosts generously shared many useful recommendations about places to explore in the ancient city and great local food spots. Their local knowledge really enhanced our trip and helped us discover hidden gems around Lijiang.
I was especially touched by their kindness after we checked out. I realized that I had lost one of my earrings, and the hosts went out of their way to help me search for it. Thanks to their effort and honesty, I was able to recover it. Their willingness to assist even after our stay had ended truly shows how much they care about their guests.

I was extremely satisfied with this trip! I booked the hotel last minute on the day of arrival, and it turned out to be an unexpected surprise!!!
The hotel is located on the top of Lion Rock in Lijiang Old Town, offering a panoramic view of the entire ancient city. The sunrise in the morning and the city lights at night are all breathtakingly beautiful, truly refreshing.
The room was clean and tidy; as someone with a slight潔癖 (germophobia), I found it incredibly comfortable. The room was well-lit and airy, and the toiletries were fully stocked, so there was absolutely nothing to worry about.
The hotel service was also outstanding!!! Breakfast was served individually, and it was so delightful to enjoy it by the window while taking in the beautiful scenery of the ancient city! Since the hotel is within the old town, carrying luggage can be inconvenient, but the owner and staff helped us with our bags the entire time, carrying them up and down. We didn't have to worry about a thing, and I'm very grateful 🙏.
Finally, a big thank you to the hotel owner! Not only did they recommend tour routes and local delicacies, but before we left, they also shared information about many souvenir shops. The flower cakes, tea, and coffee were all excellent value for money. Seriously, if you have any questions, just ask the owner; they're incredibly responsive, haha.

I randomly picked this B&B for my trip to Lijiang Ancient Town, and the location is fantastic! It's right next to the Big Water Wheel, so exploring the old town is super convenient. The 3rd-floor rooftop garden offers panoramic views of the entire ancient town, with its charming layered tile roofs – it's absolutely stunning. On a clear day, you can even catch the golden sunlight on the mountains, with sun rays sparkling on the rooftops and vibrant flowers and plants all around.
The courtyard is filled with rattan chairs and small tea tables, making it a truly relaxing spot to sit and unwind. The rooms are built around the courtyard, giving it a really well-designed feel, and there's even a dedicated hot spring bathing area – the owner clearly put a lot of thought into it!

I did a lot of research before choosing this guesthouse in Lijiang. Then I saw a photo of Aobai and somehow felt a calling 😂. I'm so glad I booked it because this turned out to be the most memorable stay of my entire trip.
From the moment we arrived, Ah Zhi and Xiaofei came to pick us up from the drop-off point and helped with our large and heavy luggage. We were travelling with children and walking slowly, but Xiaofei patiently walked with us while Ah Zhi pulled the luggage trolley all the way.
My first impression was that Ah Zhi and Xiaofei looked quite serious and intimidating 😂, but after getting to know them, I discovered they are some of the kindest and most helpful people I met during my trip.
The guesthouse is tucked away among the shops, making it peaceful, quiet, and cozy. We were welcomed by beautiful lady boss Wang Hui with high-quality Pu'er tea and flower pastries. The hospitality started immediately, and the tea never seemed to stop flowing.
Xiaofei, who constantly made sure I never went thirsty. Every time he saw me, he would offer me tea or stop by for a chat. Although my Mandarin is limited, communication was never a problem. We used Google Translate whenever needed and even had a few of our famous ”fresh air sessions” together 😂. Before long, it became an inside joke whenever Ah Zhi or Xiaofei saw me.
Of course, I cannot forget Aobai, the true star of the guesthouse! The owners were always happy to let Aobai out whenever my children wanted to see or play with him. After one play session, Xiaofei even noticed my coat was covered in Aobai's fur and handed me a lint remover. Such a thoughtful gesture.
Breakfast was one of the most unique experiences. All guests sit together at one long dining table, creating a warm and homely atmosphere. As a Muslim, I couldn't eat the noodles, but that was not a problem. I enjoyed steamed sweet potatoes, corn, and eggs, while the staff kindly prepared hot water for the cup noodles I brought for my children and even provided milk drinks. Everyone was respectful of my dietary restrictions.
There is also a free-flow coffee machine in the lobby using freshly ground coffee beans. Thank you, Ah Zhi, for making fresh coffee for me. When I requested milk for my coffee, Ah Zhi and Xiaofei happily helped. These little gestures made me feel so welcome.
It rained throughout our stay, but Xiaofei and Ah Zhi constantly reminded us to take umbrellas whenever we went out. Even when they were having dinner, they would come out to assist us, greet us when we returned, or see us off when we left.
A special thank you to Wang Hui, Ah Zhi, and Xiaofei. Their warmth, kindness, and hospitality made us feel completely at home. On checkout day, our train was very early, and Ah Zhi kindly sent us off with flower pastries and milk drinks for the journey. Xiaofei also recommended a halal restaurant nearby, and the food was exceptionally delicious.
I would also like to thank the other staff members whose names I unfortunately did not get. Every single person we met was welcoming, friendly, and genuinely caring.
I already miss Aobai and would return in a heartbeat. Thank you for making my first trip to China such a memorable one.

I have to give a huge shoutout to this guesthouse! Staying here in Lijiang was absolutely the best choice. The staff are incredibly thoughtful, meticulous, and attentive. We were worried about finding our way in the empty ancient town so late, but the guesthouse contacted us, assuring us they would wait until we arrived safely. Every evening, they prepared a thoughtful dessert for us – lily and tremella soup – which tasted amazing. There's also a super cute, gentle, and friendly dog at the guesthouse; you can play with it whenever you want, and it’s incredibly therapeutic. The courtyard atmosphere is quiet and comfortable, and the rooms are spotless. The service was attentive throughout, yet never intrusive, making our stay easy and pleasant. Bringing my parents to Lijiang, the Banyan Tree Lijiang was an unexpected and delightful surprise.
This is a remarkably distinctive Chinese courtyard-style hotel, and staying here truly made me understand what it means to “live among bamboo, in fragrant rooms, with a tranquil heart.” We stayed in the standalone villa 2130, and from the bed, we could gaze upon the bamboo shadows and Japanese maple leaves in the courtyard. When the wind blew, the dappled tree shadows danced on the wall, like a living ink wash painting.
The wooden tones of the room and the subtle sandalwood fragrance complemented each other perfectly. It wasn't just superficial oriental symbols, but a profound and substantial Chinese aesthetic. Even behind the vanity, there was a reflection of swaying bamboo shadows, and at that moment, I truly understood the meaning of “one cannot live without bamboo.”
What touched me most was the long-lost, absolute quiet of the private space. For every meal, we chose to dine in our own courtyard. The outdoor breeze, the light in the yard, the warm food, and each other's company made for a relaxation that felt almost luxurious.
The service completely overturned my imagination of “hotel service.” A shuttle bus was always available right outside, arriving within three minutes of a call. We ordered takeout five or six times a day, including small items like oxygen tanks, and they were delivered to our room within five or six minutes. Efficient, thoughtful, and unobtrusive – this kind of subtle care was incredibly reassuring. Honestly, I don't understand why there are so many negative reviews; at least during our stay, everything exceeded our expectations.
For our last meal, we had yak hotpot at Xi Restaurant. The portions were generous, and the tableware was exquisite and elegant. Enjoying the steaming hotpot, with the hotel's signature woody sandalwood scent in the air, and even bamboo still visible in the bathroom – it was refined to the very end.

For our Lijiang road trip, traveling with seniors and children, I specifically chose this highly-rated hotel, the Yueyun Courtyard Villa, opting for their 3-bedroom villa. First, the positives: convenient parking, close proximity to several ancient towns, beautiful common areas, and plenty of activities for children. The service was also excellent; from check-in at the front desk to housekeeping and help with luggage, everyone was smiling, warm, and attentive – truly commendable.
However, the drawbacks were also very apparent: the villa definitely didn't look like it had been renovated in 2018. The floors creaked and were uneven, the facilities were old, and amenities were insufficient (no tissues in the ground floor living room, only one kettle for a three-story villa, an old hairdryer, inadequate hot water supply, etc.). The cleanliness was also frankly subpar. Breakfast: The breakfast selection was quite rich! My child wasn't feeling well and didn't want to eat breakfast, so I asked the staff for a small bag to pack some eggs and mini bread. They arranged it very quickly, which was commendable!
In between, I bought some fruit and washed it but had nothing to put it in. I asked the front desk for a disposable container, and they promptly arranged for a robot to deliver it. Truly commendable!

We arrived pretty late, around 1 AM, and the owner was so kind – he personally met us at the parking lot, helped us with our bags, and showed us to our room. However, the host was great, actively trying to resolve the issue and even offering to move us to another room. They clearly put a lot of heart into running this B&B, and I'm very grateful.
The location is quiet, not facing the street, yet just a short walk to a bustling commercial street, making it very convenient for dining, snacks, and fruit.
The garden is also very picturesque.

The inn is clean and have all the amenities I need. The staff are very friendly and helpful, speedy assistance when I request for something. The breakfast mixian is yummy. She'll share info of where are the places worth going in Lijiang ancient city. The various shops I went, to take cultural costumes photo and purchase of silver accessories and to eat are recommended by her as well. She even helped me to book the mini tour for my shangri-la trip in between. You can basically ask her anything you need advise for travel in Yunnan. First and foremost, booking this hotel was absolutely the right decision. I initially considered that we shouldn't be too tired on the day of arrival, especially since I was traveling with my nearly 70-year-old father and we needed to prepare for Jade Dragon Snow Mountain the next day. So, I didn't plan any other attractions for that day, but I put all my expectations into this hotel because of the many activities it offered. And the on-site experience truly lived up to my expectations:
The tie-dye experience made up for our missed opportunity to experience local customs elsewhere in Yunnan.
The light hike with Comrade Xiao Shen, my father, and me was absolutely fantastic! We walked on a mountain with no other tourists, quiet and serene, admiring our 'private' view of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain from afar. We also passed by many wedding setups, a unique sight that I believe most people don't get to experience. The highlight at the end was the stunning Tea Horse Ancient Road Grand Canyon.
In the evening, we gathered around the stove for tea. Xiao Shen prepared a rich selection of snacks, and we chatted, enjoying the cozy atmosphere.
The stargazing activity at night was also something not offered by other hotels.
On February 7th, my trust was not misplaced. Thank you all.
Then there's the hotel's location, nestled within the Dongba Grand Canyon scenic area, peaceful and profound. The manor-style design itself is incredibly luxurious. It's also very close to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, about 12 kilometers away, making for an easy drive in the morning. The room's amenities are on par with any five-star hotel.
Next, the restaurant. Oh my goodness, it's a crime if this hotel's restaurant isn't popular! The food is delicious, portions are generous, and the prices are incredibly reasonable. I was almost moved to tears. It would be a real shame to stay at this hotel and not have dinner here. I ordered the double-person stir-fry set B.
Finally, all the staff. Saying they were enthusiastic feels like an understatement. I saw a genuine sense of pride in their work, especially in Xiao Shen. When there's a resonance between the service provider and the recipient, when customers genuinely feel the sincerity and warmth of the staff, it fosters respect, elevating every aspect of the experience.

You could genuinely spend an entire day at Qing She without leaving, because it fulfills every fantasy of a slow-paced life you could imagine when coming to Yunnan. Waking up naturally in the morning, enjoying a delicious, hearty, and nutritious breakfast, then heading to the leisure bar to read or daydream in front of the garden. You can also try your hand at intangible cultural heritage crafts, or savor a cup of Pu'er tea personally brewed by the proprietress, and pet the adorable General (the dog) 🐶. In the afternoon, you can stroll and eat in the ancient town. If you don't feel like going out, the guesthouse even offers photography services. From the moment we entered the hotel gate, we were already amazed. The place is even more beautiful in real life than in the photos. The staff member who communicated with us via WeChat was incredibly helpful—from arranging our transfer from the station to the hotel, to accommodating my dietary restrictions as a Muslim. They kindly prepared a special breakfast for us: rice noodles with egg, along with sweet potatoes, corn, and boiled eggs. What made it even more special was that everything was cooked by a very warm grandmother. Despite the language barrier, we could truly feel the warmth and love in her cooking.
The cabin we booked was absolutely perfect. It had a spacious yard, a hot tub, and a terrace with a table and chairs—great for dining or simply spending time together with family. Stepping inside the cabin was even more impressive: a large bed, lots of natural light, and equipped with smart home devices. One important detail for us was the bathroom—it had a bidet and a fully smart toilet with remote control. Since the temperature in Lijiang varies greatly between day and night, we were very grateful that the cabin had both floor heating and room heating. The bedroom also featured a large projector, and above it, a sunroof that can be opened—perfect for stargazing at night. It truly exceeded all our expectations.
The hotel area is also next to a very aesthetic café with a stunning view called Yuntian Cafe. For those traveling with family, this place is perfect—the area is spacious and great for kids to explore nature. If you want to go out for meals, Baisha Ancient Town is just a few kilometers away.

Lambs roamed freely, and every photo we took of the mountain scenery looked like it belonged in a magazine – truly an ideal wilderness retreat.
Even more impressive than the breathtaking scenery was the incredibly thoughtful service that made us feel right at home. I accidentally spilled milk tea and stained the front desk, but the staff cleaned it up meticulously without a word of complaint. When we returned in heavy rain, a dedicated staff member walked us all the way to our car under an umbrella and back to the hotel. When my child suffered from altitude sickness, oxygen tanks were delivered multiple times throughout the night, available instantly whenever we called. The decor features typical Naxi-style earth building architecture, yet it feels spacious and grand. You can tell a lot of thought went into the decoration, including ethnic-themed paintings. Every day, the owner greeted us warmly, making us feel right at home. The courtyard is beautifully maintained with azaleas, cherry trees, a swimming pool, a swing, and a pristine lawn, all tidied daily. The guesthouse offers a lovely breakfast; each guest gets a freshly made bowl of rice noodles and milk prepared by an auntie. The owner mentioned the minced meat was stir-fried by them, and it was delicious. Breakfast is served from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM. After eating, it's very pleasant to relax in the lobby for a bit. You can play Go or Chinese chess, and there's a piano and guitar. My boyfriend even played a little, creating a very cozy atmosphere. Sometimes you'd hear other guests playing their favorite tunes. It’s a very comfortable stay with a great living vibe, perfect for a short trip with family or friends. We had a wonderfully comfortable two-day stay. The Shirock Hotel is located in Yuhu Village, a small village at the foot of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. You need to inform the hotel in advance if you're driving into the village.
First of all, the hotel's location is excellent. It's very quiet around the hotel, but about 200 meters away is Yuhu Village's main shopping street, which is very lively. There are various trendy cafes, Western restaurants, local eateries, and different stalls. You can also experience horseback riding there, giving you a feeling of prosperity within reach. Prices in Yuhu Village are exceptionally cheap; yak meat skewers are 10 yuan for three. The skewers aren't small either. For horseback riding, if you want to try it, you can ride for 10 minutes for 20 yuan, which is great for taking photos.
The hotel service is also very good. Staff members wait in the parking lot in advance to help us with our luggage. From 3 PM onwards, folk singers perform at the hotel. If the weather is clear, they play and sing on the large outdoor lawn. Looking at Jade Dragon Snow Mountain while listening to folk music is very pleasant.
We experienced the Naxi family visit recommended by the hotel, which cost 100 yuan per person. During the visit, the Naxi people prepared many local snacks and tea. We also experienced grinding soybeans, and the hosts made us tofu pudding and soy milk, both of which were delicious. They also taught us about Naxi hieroglyphs. You can also try on Naxi ethnic costumes at their home.
_The hotel's breakfast is relatively simple but sufficient. Basic eggs, milk, coffee, rice noodles, noodles, porridge, and some bacon, fries, etc., are provided, along with toast and bread. In the morning, there's also a special 'bao bing' (wrapped pancake) activity, where children enjoy wrapping various nuts and raisins and then baking them themselves.
The hotel also offers other activities, such as Yuhu Village exploration and a 'plant hunter' hike, which we unfortunately didn't have time to experience.

We booked a suite, and it looked exactly like the photos which is great, opulent in fact. For the price we paid it is incredible value really. The hotel seemed empty and could have done so much better. It definitely has issues: 1. Its location on Trip.com is wrong, even the name differs. Taxi/Didi will drop you at Shuhe South Gate 200m away. 2. Check in time says 1:30pm on Trip.com but on arrival they ask you to come back at 2pm, no welcome, no acknowledgment of how many bags you want to leave in their care, they will ignore you until 2pm. 3. One male staff was unbelievably rude, he came to the reception when we wanted to check in at 1:30pm and “Oi!!!” loudly at us like he was yelling at a dog. In all our lives we never had such greetings. Our reaction must have told him, he was quiet after and quickly checked us in. 4. Lacking in details: a few umbrellas at reception would be nice in Yunnan’s rain, there was a kettle in the room but no coffee or tea bags (Yunnan is famous for both). No bathmat either but a yellow sign “Caution Wet Floor”, no soap at the basin, nothing. Shower was weak and tepid even at hottest level. 5. Breakfast was poor in a dining room with leaking roof. It felt like the hotel is running on empty, and few skeleton staff.
On the PLUS side: great location in Shuhe Ancient Town, very spacious suite, super comfortable king bed, hotel does have a few super helpful staff who genuinely want to make it work, even apologized for the rude male staff.DariHK$ 220

My mom and I came to Lijiang, and I booked this hotel on a whim the day before we left. I never expected it would lead to such a wonderful experience! This was my first time visiting Yunnan, and I fell in love with the place, largely thanks to staying at such a comfortable hotel. The location is quite easy to find, right on the square in Yuhu Village, so you don't have to walk a lot on cobblestone paths, and it's also very convenient for catching a taxi.
**Environment:** Waking up every day and opening the curtains to see the snow-capped mountains was truly healing. You can enjoy the snow mountain view from the guest rooms, the courtyard, and the restaurant. The hotel has been open for a while, but the facilities are well-maintained. The only minor issue was that the exhaust fan in the bathroom didn't work, and a slight drawback was that some of the essential oil bottles for the aromatherapy activity were empty. I hope they can be refilled promptly.
**Service:** The front desk staff were very welcoming. When we couldn't find a certain photo spot, they shared their location and came to guide us. I participated in the evening tea ceremony around the fireplace for three consecutive nights. It wasn't crowded, but the atmosphere was great, with warm roasted milk, local specialty rice sausages, and Erkuai (rice cakes), plus some snacks to munch on. Chatting by the fire with the front desk lady and the local Naxi ethnic minority male staff member was delightful; all the staff had really pleasant personalities, which made it very enjoyable.
Personally, I think staying here is much quieter and more pleasant than staying in the ancient town. I highly recommend it to friends who prefer a slower pace of travel and don't like crowds! I hope to come back for a second visit during mushroom picking season or the Torch Festival!DariHK$ 524

I think it's pretty good! It's a five-star hotel, and while it's not brand new, you can tell they spared no expense on the materials, with a lot of solid wood and heavy-duty construction. The bathroom fixtures are all from top brands too.
Honestly, I was so tired of staying at other B&Bs in Lijiang; they were either not as pictured or freshly renovated with formaldehyde fumes. Plus, the hygiene at B&Bs generally isn't that great. This is a star-rated hotel, so it definitely meets a certain standard. The slippers and towels are all very comfortable, and there's a good selection for breakfast. Afternoon tea can be enjoyed in their tea room, with a Naxi lady serving you tea.
The king-size room is larger, brighter, and more spacious than the twin room. I recommend the king-size room.
The service is very attentive. On the day of my arrival, they called me and asked me to let them know when I was close, so hotel staff could come down to help with luggage. There's a slight slope and some steps leading up to the hotel.
As for the location, it's on the southwest side of Shuhe Ancient Town. It's convenient to get to Longtan (highly recommended, it's beautiful). If you're heading to the northeast side of the ancient town, it's a bit far (you'd need to take a taxi to go around), but after dinner, you can just walk it off.
In Lijiang, it's hot when the sun is out and cold when it rains. Remember to protect yourself from the sun and keep warm. Even in May, you should bring a jacket when you're in the ancient town.DariHK$ 523

👟 一定要穿舒服的鞋子
古城里面全部都是石板路，而且有一点起伏。看起来很浪漫，但走久了脚真的会有感觉。我第一次去是穿不太适合走路的鞋，结果走到晚上直接累爆。
🧭 不用太规划路线，随便走更好玩
这里最特别的地方就是“迷路也没关系”。很多惊喜的小巷子、咖啡店、风景点，其实都是乱走走出来的。越刻意安排，反而越少惊喜。
⏰ 白天 + 晚上要分开体验
白天的丽江是安静、慢节奏的感觉；晚上会变成灯笼亮起、有音乐、有一点热闹的 vibe。建议一定要两种时间都走一次。
🧳 行李尽量轻一点
如果你住在古城里面，真的不建议带太大行李箱。石板路 + 人多 + 有坡度，拖行李会比较辛苦。可以的话带一个轻便行李或背包会舒服很多。
📸 早一点起床会有惊喜
早上的古城人比较少，很安静，拍照很好看。那种“整条街只有你一个人”的感觉真的很难得。
