Location : super private, very clean and very well kept. Staff service : friendly, attentive. Shout out to Rudra, Pika, Afiq, and their kitchen crew Wani. they say that the people is the heart and soul of the brand and it reflects immensely in the boathouse. Even the director of operations took his rounds to walk and chatted us up. Thank you Thevan. Room : very new and clean tho sound insulation is abit of an issue. But it’s all good. Internet : good and stable. This part of the island cuts off coverage if you have a local sim. Amenities : For now, it’s just jungle tracking with ATV or island hopping/diving. What can be improved : 1. perhaps more upbeat music at the bar area for people to let loose. 2. weekends when there are more people, a fire performance or a light show/drone or something. So that there is a slight group entertainment. 3. Pier could be abit more lighted to see the sea during the night.

The beach view was pretty and the atmosphere was relaxing. The service was very good, the staff there were nice too. Just one thing that can be improved on: the environment was a bit undesirable and there were a lot of iguanas in water and in land, causing us to feel a little uncomfortable to walk out of our rooms at night. Amenities need improvement also...for example, the hair dryers weren't working well and the toilet smells bad too.

Excellent location where hotel provide buggy services from room to any location inside the resort. Staff were all friendly and helpful with our needs. Delivering of items when we requesting also very timely. Reception counter also provide snorkelling, diving, and other water sports booking with reasonable charges. Renting of equipment also available if needed. However, the sofa appeared to be a bit dusty below the cushion. Ants were seen inside the toilet sink. Otherwise the experience will be even more better.

The rooms are clean and relaxing, with many decorations and items made from local, handcrafted materials, which is both eco-friendly and gives the hotel its unique character. The hotel owner and staff are polite and sincere, without any noticeable commercial vibe. The natural environment is quiet and pristine, and the hotel blends seamlessly with its surroundings. Most guests here are couples enjoying their time together; we were the only ones with children during our three-day stay. We really loved this quiet, non-commercial holiday environment. January is monsoon season, so the winds and waves were strong. We tried snorkeling on two mornings, but it wasn't amazing. The ecosystem here isn't as vibrant as in Mataking, Semporna; we didn't see as many types of fish, and there were more rocks, making the snorkeling environment less friendly than Mataking. However, the hotel stay itself was truly comfortable, and we felt the energy of nature – a great opportunity to relax. The staff and owner were fantastic and even personally picked us up and dropped us off at the pier. Their service felt genuinely sincere, unlike Semporna, where there's a strong commercial atmosphere, and you don't feel the same genuine human interaction, but rather more commercialism, and the room rates are many times higher without the corresponding service quality. We love this kind of hotel vacation experience. It's filled with the scent of nature everywhere, with streams flowing through the rainforest, integrating the hotel with the sea – a resort that has both mountains and the ocean. Friendly tip: The hotel carefully prepares all three meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner). The food provided is consistently delicious, and although the prices are not cheap, it's worth it.

This hotel never failed me, we had enjoyed the stays there. The hotel is quite a distance from the town (20mins taxi ride, but we enjoyed the scenery along the way). The hotel is not crowded, u can fully relax and enjoy the breeze without the crowds. The room is can consider clean, 2 queen size beds in a room are for my children. I asked for an extra mattress which charged me rm50 per night, I have encountered bed bugs sleeping on the mattress(but my two children beds are clean, they did not have the issue of bed bug). The hotel serve nice food, but a bit pricey. However, there are Malay stalls nearby which charged slightly cheaper and the food taste good as well. The hotel provides sea sports like snorkeling, diving, volleyball, jungle trekking, and there are band playing music (not during Ramadan). We will definitely come back.

Figures 1 to 5 are the interior and exterior of the hotel. The location is a relatively secret bay. There are about 20 such wooden villas in total. When you check in and leave the store, the staff will queue up to welcome you, but all employees will not be a little Chinese. The so-called own beach, the water quality is not as good as near the public pier. Anyway, swimming, snorkeling and fishing are not good. There is basically no signal on the mobile phone. Only the hotel's own restaurant can eat. There is white rice (pizza, burger). Dinner needs to be booked before 14:00, otherwise you can be hungry. The price is not expensive, dare to say that he is poor, 18 MYR popsicles for your reference. For foreigners who want to find a secret beach, after eating a free breakfast, they will mix from morning to night with a free beer. This hotel is very good for foreigners who are sunbathing on the beach. But for Chinese families like us who want to go swimming, snorkeling, fishing, and eating seafood, the holiday in this hotel has become a robbery, and everything can be achieved by the recent paya. For this, you have two options: working time on a water taxi RM350; like us in Figure 6, an hour and a half back through the virgin forest full of mosquitoes and snakes... Thank you for giving the hotel a ”special forces survival challenge tour”, and collect more than 500 MYR environmental tax before leaving!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at B&J Tioman Dive Resort on Tioman Island, and the experience exceeded my expectations in every way. From the moment I arrived until the day I left, it was clear why B&J has built such a strong reputation among divers and travelers alike. One of the first things that impressed me was the cleanliness of the accommodation. The room was well-maintained, comfortable, and spotless throughout my stay. Housekeeping standards were consistently high, making it easy to relax after a day of diving and exploration. The resort grounds were also kept clean and tidy, creating a welcoming and pleasant environment that reflected the professionalism of the entire team. What truly made the experience special, however, was the people. Every staff member I encountered was friendly, approachable, and genuinely eager to help. Whether it was assistance at the reception, advice on local activities, or help with dive logistics, the team always greeted guests with a smile. The dive instructors and divemasters deserve particular praise. They were knowledgeable, patient, and passionate about sharing the beauty of Tioman’s underwater world. Their enthusiasm was infectious and helped create a fun and relaxed atmosphere both above and below the surface. As a diver, I greatly appreciated the balance that B&J strikes between enjoyment and safety. Every dive was well-organized and professionally conducted. Safety briefings were thorough, equipment checks were carried out carefully, and the dive guides remained attentive throughout the dives. Despite maintaining high safety standards, the team ensured that the dives remained enjoyable and memorable. Their familiarity with local dive sites allowed us to maximize our underwater experience while feeling secure at all times. It is reassuring to dive with professionals who clearly prioritize guest safety without compromising the fun and excitement of exploring the reefs. Another highlight of staying at B&J was the abundance of delicious food available nearby. The resort’s location provides easy access to a variety of eateries offering local Malaysian dishes, fresh seafood, Western options, and refreshing drinks. After a day spent underwater, it was wonderful to have so many excellent dining choices within walking distance. The combination of great diving and great food made every day on the island something to look forward to. Overall, my stay at B&J Tioman Dive Resort was outstanding. The clean accommodation, warm and friendly staff, professional dive team, strong safety culture, and excellent food options combined to create an unforgettable holiday experience. I would not hesitate to recommend B&J to anyone visiting Tioman Island, whether they are experienced divers, new divers, or simply looking for a relaxing island getaway. The cats are very cute and friendly. Good location, crystal clear water right in front, comfortable rooms ( we stayed in a ”comfy cottage” ) with good aircon, however the service, breakfast and the atmosphere must be improved to match the big price tag!! The breakfast is poor, it’s a buffet with about 5 options, but every one of them is deep fried / ultra processed food, and with vegetarian option being an omelette (which is ok) and not much else. A serving of single type of fruit is available but it’s scarcely topped up and as everyone is desperate to get something fresh, it runs out quick. The hygiene around breakfast needs to be improved with glasses, plates and cutlery needing extra attention. Coffee and tea are over brewed and topped up hot water rather then fresh jugs being made. No fresh juice but flavoured sugar syrup. The breakfast put us off trying the food they offer in the evening. From the early afternoon till 10:30/11pm, repetitive base music, completely ruining the vibe of the place. We asked the reception on two separate days to turn it down which they did quickly, but the next day the music was back. This really is a shame as the main thing to do here is just relax by the water, alas it’s not meant to be. We informed the reception that our ferry leaves at 7am from the pier back to the mainland, they offered to bring our bags over at 6:50AM. At 6:55AM, we walked to the pier with the bags ourselves for the fear of missing the ferry as no one was around to take us. Again, frustrating. We stayed 5 nights and it’s a shame as the place has a lot of potential and these things are so easy to fix but without addressing the issues above the cost is really not justified.

Everything was great except communication which was practically non existent. We had a lot of trouble trying to contact the owners and decided to just give up in the end. The accommodation was located at a short walk (750m) from the Tekek Jetty. There are sign along the road that points to the accommodation. Everything there was great especially the local cats who kept greeting us. There was even a pair of kitties(orange - male and white - female) that kept making out in front of our room 😂 during our stay there. Do keep a lookout for them if you are staying here 😏. The photo of the beaches is exactly the view we saw in front of the accommodation.

You have TV , fridge, n iron board but only one power points. TV don't have adaptors for two pin . Luckily I brought my own to watch TV. It is after 30 years I'm back to the hotel after the pre open. I'm a local Mersing guy. Hope they can improve

First i want to review on booking experience. I was so pissed off with Trip.com booking. I entered 3 adults upon search & result showed an option of 3 occupancy room with full-board package for 2 adult. There is option for full-board 3 adults however since the first option was cheaper i was thinking to arrange my own for the additional 1 adult boat transfer & not require the meal package. It was shocking that when i reached the check in office it is mandatory to pay for the 3rd adult boat n meal package to the resort. My question here WHY trip.com put the option for 2 adult knowing the resort does not allow the 3rd person to check in??? This is a scammm for me because i entered 3 adults requirement at the first place for the booking. Both resort & trip.com are not synchronise with the information. Now going to resort stay experience: The resort staff were all great & the service was also on point. However, the condition of the resort was so below my expectation. I paid RM 700+ per night & i don’t feel worth it. Everything was super outdated & worn off. Especially the bathroom. The floors were cracked open & was swarming with bugs & insects & some people might get allergic to them. The bedroom is self was okay & comfy. Also food-wise, they served a lot of seafood & didn’t ask if anyone was allergic or not which one of us is. For RM 700 per night i expected it is included some activities we could do at the resort however it was disappointing that everything was chargeable whereas they are non-motorised & doesn’t even use resource / maintenance such as kayak & snorkel gear. The only nice thing at the resort was staff friendliness & the food taste.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay here! The service was excellent—everyone was so polite and greeted me warmly whenever we met. This island is very close to Mersing. The scenery on the island is great, the service is good, and the food is decent. The activities on the island are all things I like. However, the island doesn't provide hair dryers, which really isn't very friendly for ladies. Also, the filtered water for showering was really salty—my hair felt like straw during the two days on the island. Finally, when we arrived it was low tide, and the water slide was only open when we were about to leave.
