"Booked Malibest Resort for my missus, sister-in-law, and our two little ones for a 3-night break. They paid RM100 deposit for two rooms. They asked for connecting rooms, but due to peak season, the hotel could only offer nearby rooms on the same floor with another guest in between. Staff said we could swap if the middle room became free, but the guest stayed longer, so no luck—but it was fine.
The hotel’s right in the heart of Cenang, and with peak season in full swing, it was packed. They hired a car to explore Langkawi, but parking was tricky—no private lot, so had to leave the car on the far side street or at the nearby mall (RM20 overnight). A few times they used Grab instead, which made the car rental feel a bit wasted.
Location-wise, it’s spot-on. Loads of duty-free shops, food places, and just steps from the beach. They walked to Underwater World too. The area’s buzzing with tourists, both local and international.
Rooms were clean and quiet. The pool was sandy at the bottom—likely from beachgoers jumping in without rinsing. Inside the room, all the basics were covered: towels, shampoo, body wash, a fridge for takeaway, water boiler for coffee, and a telly with YouTube (which the kids loved).
Also, it’s close to the airport—so no stress about getting there on time.
Overall, a solid stay with great location and helpful staff. A few hiccups, but the family had a lovely time."

"I had a wonderful stay at Park Royal Langkawi Resort with my family. The room was spotless, and the entire property was beautifully maintained. We had a stunning ocean view from our room, which made the stay even more special. The staff were exceptionally friendly, approachable, and always ready to help with a smile. My son especially loved the swimming pool and the activity room. All of us had an amazing time!
The resort’s amenities were excellent and really added to the overall experience.

- pool is very clean however not open till 8am or would be great if they could clean and open an hour earlier and maybe little later in evenings as the heat in LGK requires a cool off!!"

"This was hands down the most satisfying hotel of our trip to Malaysia, and my friends were equally impressed. The service was impeccable, and the amenities were top-notch.
Our rooms were individual wooden chalets, which made them incredibly quiet, and the surroundings were absolutely beautiful. Our sea-view room opened directly onto the ocean; it was bright, spacious, and had a generously sized bathroom.
Each independent chalet comprised multiple rooms. They provided four complimentary bottles of water, with more available upon request. The hotel also offered free yoga classes. Unfortunately, we only stayed for two nights and didn't get to experience many of the facilities.
Breakfast at the hotel was excellent, with two restaurants offering different cuisines. The Asian restaurant had tastier food, but the American restaurant boasted unparalleled views, being right by the sea and allowing you to enjoy breakfast facing the ocean. I couldn't resist the shrimp noodles at the Asian restaurant, so I ended up eating there for both days.
The hotel features two very clean swimming pools, a beautiful artificial lake, and various other recreational facilities. Water sports bookings were available right next to the hotel, including banana boat rides and jet skiing. Next time, I'll definitely come just to relax and fully enjoy the hotel's offerings."

"1. Slow check in process by the staff who had assisted me as compared to my friend’s. Though I have 3 rooms to check in but was asked with lots of questions and the whole process took me at least 30mins? - not sure if this is normal.
2. Cleanliness of the room was horrific for a Google 5-star hotel. Mentioning the worst - Insect carcasses was noted at a corner of the living room on the check in day as shown in the picture. It was still there even after room service.
3. Cash left on the dining table when missing after returning to room at night. Believe it was assumed as ‘tips’ after room service? Tips for not cleaning insect carcasses?
4. The kitchen sink was clogged again despite the first repair.
5. 2 out of 4 toothbrush kits were opened with missing toothpaste on the check in day.
Out of so many bads, at least I’m glad that the guards over there were friendly."

"This is an overall very good hotel. It is as advertised to be right at the heart of Pantai Cenang with basically everything walking distance to it. The room provided was rushed as we also did a rushed booking. Sound insulation is a major point of improvement. But everything else was okay. The price\value ratio of the hotel is based on its location but the facilities are like a decent 3 star hotel. Small pool and walkable to the beach. Free parking, good breakfast selection with local and international options, clean and modern facilties too. The staff is absolutely friendly and happy to help. Nice stay."

"The room spacious, the bed just ok. But the biggest problem for me is the room is not sound prove, you even can hear people talking in front of you room. Plus they got connected room and the door are not sound prove at all where you can clearly hear what people talking on the next room. Event when they talking at normal tone. "Room: I would say the room itself is fine, quite modern and I LOVE the view, really pretty tower in front of us, but the tv is wayyyy too small for a room this size, we have to squint my eyes to watch a tv.
Hygiene & Condition: The hotel is obviously old, the panels and metal parts in the shower are all rusted, definitely not the most hygienic stay, there was a cockroach at some point of our stay and that really put me off. They have both a shower and a bath which is nice to have.
Service & Buffet: The breakfast was not very tasty, more for Indian palate I presume, it was very chaotic and the service is really bad, we asked for a fork, apparently there was some dessert forks at the buffet area, but we didn’t see, then the waitress end up shoving the whole container of dessert forks in our face with attitude.. bad service I would say.
I would not really stay here but location wise is pretty nice if you would like to explore Kuah Town."

"Pretty average. Rooms gets flooded after heavy rain and you get towels to sort it out. Bath tub could use replacing too - a bit rusty. There was a fair amount of rubbish underneath the bed. I would recommend looking for something else guys."

Faraaz was welcoming and informative upon check in, I came in early to check in and he made sure to find me so that I can check in my room a little before 3 pm.
The surroundings are lovely, the resort hugs the mountains and is surrounded by lush green. There’s many activities that you can do within the resort, as well as the skybridge and oriental village a stone throw away ( you can get a one way shuttle courtesy of resort.
The room itself was old but the housekeeping staff does an excellent job because it was clean, there’s no sewer smells and the bed is cosy.
The only issue I have is that of the gaps which lets geckos in, a huge one made it’s home in the bathroom, thumbs up to front desk service which is open and the security came late at night to help find it but it had hidden. The next day I saw one come through the gap in the door, ( there is a brush at the bottom but doesn’t fit until the end) I clapped my hands wildly to chase it back out. Perhaps provide a door draft stopper, I just used the towels to fill in gaps as a makeshift one. However I know it is a resort surrounded by nature and these creatures will find a way.
Breakfast was excellent, I have to says the breakfast staff is the hardest working team I have ever seen in all my travels. Not only do they have to greet and seat, but they also accommodate late breakfast comers who come after the allotted breakfast time and wait until they finish a lazy breakfast.
The food here is delicious. It was a lovely stay.
Ps. Don’t forget to make a reservation in advance for Phan Thai, I recommend at 6:30, it’s not busy yet and you can take pics and enjoy the beautiful sky dimming into glorious colors. It starts to get really busy at around 7:40 ( it’s still bright out) .

Rebark island is a private island with beautiful resort and best rooms having sea pool or forest silent view. Beach, swimming pool, spa, gym access. Room amenities and housekeeping top notch. Breakfast buffet and food was very tasty I must
Staff here is so friendly.. if you want some time out from the daily chaos and this place is the best. Highly recommended

Deliberately chose Vila Sri Kampung as it was in the middle of the Jungle full of nature.
My review will be slightly biased as I am already used to the tropical “happenings” like ants etc. as I am from Singapore.
The stay was amazing as I could literally see the wild dusky leaf monkeys and hornbills right in-front of me across the glass panel.
Pros:
1. Have nature right in-front of your face.
2. Experience nature like literally
3. Aircon works
4. Surprisingly no mosquitoes
5. Hot shower works fully functional
6. TV works with Netflix preloaded
7. Breakfast offered is super awesome. Had the best Roti Cenai (or roti prata in sg term). The Malay style breakfast was top notch. Mango is super sweet and juicy as if you hydrated a pack of 7D mangoes.
Cons:
1. In the middle of nowhere. Definitely rent a car and use google map to guide yourself through the jungle.
2. The owner is pretty much uncontactable on this platform. Please please use watsapp to contact her. Also best to have a Malaysian friend/partner that speaks Malay with Malaysian number so that he/she can contact the owner swiftly so that you can enter the villa upon arrival.
3. Guard dogs if you’re scared of dogs
4. Ants if you’re not used to the tropical norms. To be honest, just follow basic camping ethics: after eating don’t leave wrappers lying around, don’t drop sugar crumbs. Dispose leftovers or wrappers into plastic bags and tie them properly.
5. Shower is functioning but bathtub is not as I was not able to switch water from the shower-head to the bathtub tap.
6. Wild insects like bees entering your villa at night if you on the lights. Just adopt the healthy lifestyle and follow the sun.
This place is definitely for you if you want to experience the jungle first hand and feel like an explorer in the comfort of air-conditioned villa. Great escape from the digital world. This is not a place for you if you’re whiny ass cosmopolitan kid that has never touched grass or have short temper as things are definitely slow.
The resort villa would be a better choice.

NNoraLolaNice stay in Langkawi though its raining throughout the whole period of my stay. Comfortable bed & pillows. And nice pool too. Accommodating crews on board makes it a good stay. The room we took is with simple breakfast ala carte menu. Can be top up with a certain amount if needed to upgrade the meal. For cat lovers, there are two friendly cat around the hotel too so it's a plus point 😻

YYasmineThe team at the hotel made everything possible to make my trip memorable and great. They were very helpful and friendly. The hotel has a shuttle bus at two different times to Ceneng Beach every day. Breakfast is very varied with Indian, Malay, Mediterranean options. I was generously treated to dessert options at some nights. Beds are super comfortable. And you can literally go anywhere on the island by grab or thé hotel’s shuttle bus. The airport is just a 2 minute walk to the airport. The pool is of nice size with a nice fountain and there are two of pools. Would love to stay there again- may be next school holiday ❤️

The place is super peaceful, away from all the city noise—really great for just relaxing and enjoying the beach vibes. The surroundings are calm, and the whole resort gives off a very cozy and private feel, perfect for a family getaway. The staff here are super friendly and always ready to help, making us feel really welcome from the moment we arrived. Everything was smooth and comfortable, and we really enjoyed our time here. If you’re looking for a quiet and chill place to unwind in Langkawi, this resort is definitely worth a visit!

MMuraleedharan RI had an amazing experience staying at this beachside resort during my vacation — definitely one of the best I’ve ever been to! The location is stunning, right by the beach and perfect for a relaxing holiday. The accommodation was super comfortable and all the facilities were top-notch.
The staff were really friendly and always ready to help with a smile. What I loved the most was how kid-friendly the place was. The hotel organized several fun activities just for children and my kids had a blast participating in them — they were entertained and happy throughout the stay!
The buffet breakfast was another highlight — so many tasty options and everything was fresh and delicious. It was a great way to start each day.

GGuest UserMy wife and I stayed for 6 days. I came to Langkawi to celebrate my birthday. My wife worked with Alisa from the front desk to give me a surprise cake on my birthday. Alisa was very helpful and made sure to not ruin the surprise for me. Also, booking experiences and activities were effortless thanks to Ain. She helped us book the mangrove tour, island hopping, and sunset dinner cruise. 10/10 experience will definitely stay here again if I visit Langkawi in the future.

MM274389****The room was generally great, and the location was fantastic, with a convenience store and a TS duty-free shop right across the street. Make sure to buy water at the duty-free shop; it's much cheaper there! The service was very good, and breakfast was decent. It offers excellent value for money, being much cheaper than comparable resort hotels in China.
However, this is an older four-star hotel, and it shows. The bath towels were extremely old and worn. If you plan to stay here, you absolutely *must* bring your own bath towels. The bedding also wasn't very clean, so I brought my own sheets, duvet cover, and pillowcases, which made my stay much more comfortable.
Seriously, if you book this hotel, bring your own bath towels! Bring your own sheets! And bring your own pillowcases!
