我第一次去新加坡的时候，以为天气跟马来西亚差不多，结果一下飞机就直接“被热醒”😅 那种热不是普通的热，是又热又湿、走几步路就开始流汗的那种。不过去多几次之后我才慢慢摸清楚规律：新加坡的天气其实没有想象中那么复杂，但如果你选对时间去，整个旅行体验真的差很多。有人去到天天暴雨，有人去到每天蓝天白云打卡，这个差别真的很大。

我第一次去新加坡的时候也以为“应该跟马来西亚差不多啦”，结果一出机场我就后悔没心理准备😂 简单说就是：真的一年四季都很热。

没有四季变化，也没有“凉一点的季节”。基本上每天都是差不多的天气：
👉 白天大概 25°C–32°C
👉 但重点不是温度，是那个又热又湿的感觉

你走在外面几分钟，就会开始流汗那种，而且是停不下来的那种😅 不过有趣的是，新加坡很“分裂”：

  • 外面：热到你想找树躲 🌳
  • 里面（shopping mall / MRT）：冷气冷到你想穿外套 ❄️

我每次去都一定带外套，不然进商场真的会冷到起鸡皮疙瘩。

🌟 1–2月（比较推荐）

  • 天气整体比较稳定一点
  • 雨有，但不会太夸张
  • 很适合第一次去新加坡的人

👉 优点：行程比较好安排
👉 缺点：有时接近农历新年，人会比较多、价格也会涨

🌟 6–8月（也不错）

  • 天气还是热，但比较“规律”
  • 下雨通常是短暂阵雨

Great location! There's an MRT station not too far from the hotel, and the Singapore River is right behind it. You can walk about 1.5 km along the river to Clarke Quay, and even reach the National Gallery. The room itself was quite spacious, and I appreciated having purified drinking water. Personally, I'm not a fan of bathtubs, and the tissues disintegrated too easily when wet, which was a bit inconvenient. However, the hotel breakfast was excellent and had a great variety.

Booked for 2 adults and 1 child. The room was quite spacious with two 1-meter beds. The front desk staff, who I think was an Indian gentleman, asked if it was our first time in Singapore and what we thought of it. I told him it was our first time and we found it very clean and tidy, but I couldn't express more in English. Seeing that our child was tall, the gentleman kindly offered us an extra bed for free, saying it would help the mother rest well at night. Our whole family was very grateful for his thoughtful gesture. Although our child ultimately chose to share a bed with mom, not needing the extra bed, we still appreciate the gentleman's kindness. It showed us the humane side of this city, and we look forward to visiting Singapore again next time we have the chance.

I was a bit disappointed with the hotel during this second visit in June 2026. There was a noisy construction site outside the window, and drilling went on for several hours in one of the neighboring rooms due to renovations. I really wanted to rest after my journey but couldn't, neither in the room nor on the terrace. They couldn't find another room for me, but they tried to smooth things over, which is a plus for the hotel. This time, there were no welcome fruits, no second evening housekeeping service, and no replenishment of amenities, tea bags, or candies. Breakfast was good. The view was excellent; I watched the tree show from my room. Overall, considering the room price, I had hoped for better. My first visit was more enjoyable. It's best to go to the pool right when it opens at 6 AM – there are minimal people then. However, it's heavily chlorinated; even after washing, the smell wouldn't come out of my swimsuit. It was convenient that my room was in the same tower, so I could go to the pool in my bathrobe and slippers. There's free bottled water at the pool and a restaurant for snacks.

I booked this hotel with a lot of trepidation, as I saw many negative reviews and debated for a long time. I'm not a shill, but I'll share my experience this time. We had a sea-view room. The bathroom was genuinely enormous, which really lifted my spirits. The golden view was absolutely stunning, especially at night, with Marina Bay Sands, the Merlion, St. Andrew's Cathedral, and the Singapore Flyer all perfectly visible. The bed was also comfortable, and my initial anxieties just melted away. There were certainly downsides. The air conditioning was genuinely loud. For someone sensitive to noise, it might be a bit hard to tolerate. But for those who aren't sensitive to sound and just crash after a long day of sightseeing, it's not an issue – like my family, who didn't notice the AC noise at all and found it perfectly acceptable. I, however, am very sensitive to sound. The toilet paper was also genuinely not good; I ended up buying my own from the supermarket. So, overall, for me, the pros outweighed the cons. I later read many reviews, and it seems the sea-view rooms might genuinely be better than other room types, for instance, being in the South Tower and not having connecting rooms. These are all my personal opinions, for reference only. I'm someone who really dislikes writing reviews, but since traveling abroad isn't easy and I agonized over choosing a hotel for over a month, I've been through the struggle, and I don't want you to go through the same dilemma.

We booked two rooms and stayed for three nights. Both rooms were clean and tidy. Farhan handled both our check-in and check-out, and he was absolutely fantastic! 👍 We originally booked twin rooms, but none were available next to each other. He went out of his way to arrange connecting king rooms for us and even added an extra bed to each room for free. The room size was perfect, and they all had balconies. The kids also loved the pool. The hotel is within walking distance of nearby attractions, and there's a large hypermarket right across the street. The location is truly excellent! It's ideal for families traveling with children. Our experience upon arrival was completely different from what we'd read in some negative reviews. A comfortable stay is the best antidote to the exhaustion of traveling with kids.

The hotel's location is superb, right above Raffles City. With both green and red MRT lines accessible downstairs, it's incredibly convenient whether you're coming from the airport or heading to Sentosa. Many city attractions are also within walking distance. Both check-in and check-out were handled by staff; I didn't encounter any self-service options. While some staff didn't speak Mandarin, their attitude was consistently good. I booked a Marina Swiss Twin room. 'Marina' means you get views towards Marina Bay Sands, and 'Swiss' indicates a high floor, specifically above the 39th. I was assigned room #58 on the 52nd floor. It was slightly off-center; the main view was of the office buildings, with a church directly below. Marina Bay Sands was to the left, and being so high up, it was a little daunting to look down. The twin beds were 1.37 meters wide, perfectly fine for sleeping with a child. I tried two breakfast options. Clove is right off the elevator and always had a queue, but it moved quickly. They offer a wider variety of food. Asian is a bit further; after exiting the elevator, turn left past Starbucks, then right to the end. A Clove staff member was very helpful; I just casually asked, and she immediately led me there. Asian offers some interesting Southeast Asian pastries worth trying. Overall, I'm very satisfied with this hotel.

Location: Situated right in the heart of Orchard Road, it offers a great balance of being lively yet peaceful. It's not far from the subway station, and there's a supermarket right downstairs. Room Facilities: Overall pretty good, small but tidy, though the facilities are quite standard and the decor has a retro, vintage feel. Service: There was a very handsome Chinese front desk staff member who was incredibly patient and attentive. I stayed for an additional night, and he helped us arrange to stay in the same room, which was very thoughtful. Hotel Breakfast: The breakfast is fantastic, with a wide variety of delicious options! 👌🏻 You absolutely *must* try the homemade nasi lemak and all the different Indian curries – so incredibly tasty!

This hotel is centrally located, very convenient to the MRT and bus stops, making it easy to get around even on foot. As it's surrounded by several academies, it's a paradise for young people with plenty of shopping malls and restaurants. The rooms have basic amenities, but they are thoughtfully designed, such as the hot water dispenser in the room, and shared irons, ironing boards, fridges, and microwaves on each floor. There are also coin-operated laundry facilities, which are very useful given Singapore's hot weather. The laundry room is connected to the gym, a nice touch so you can work out while waiting. For short stays, they don't clean the room daily. The air conditioning is excellent. The bathroom, however, doesn't have a wet/dry separation.

The hotel's location is excellent, with a subway station right outside the door and another line a few hundred meters away that goes to Chinatown. It's about an 800-meter walk to the Fort Canning tree tunnel (a popular photo spot), and from there you can continue on to the Old Hill Street Police Station (also known as the Rainbow Police Station), Clarke Quay, and the Merlion. The room size is a definite advantage compared to other hotels in the same price range; there's plenty of space to walk even with two large suitcases. The bathroom size is standard as well. The downside is that the bathroom fixtures are quite old, and the shower is difficult to use. However, I was aware of this beforehand, so I was prepared, and given the other advantages, it's acceptable. The bedding is good, and the sofa is quite comfortable. Among the toiletries, only the shampoo, shower gel, and toothbrush weren't great; everything else was fine. The room has a kettle and comes with tea and coffee packets. There's also a water dispenser in the hallway where you can get iced or room temperature water. The hotel breakfast is decent, on par with business hotels in China. However, the service is excellent; they diligently restock drinks and food even at the last minute, even if there are only a few people dining. There are washing machines and dryers on the fourth floor, each costing 5 SGD, and you can get change for coins at the front desk. The commercial machines work very well; the dryer gets clothes completely dry in 40 minutes. There are also ironing facilities in the room. Overall, I recommend this hotel. If you have a higher budget, you might look elsewhere, but if you're looking for great value for money at this price point, you should definitely consider it.

The room is tiny, really tiny. Once the door is closed, and you open a 26-inch suitcase, there's no room to walk. You can fit a 20-inch suitcase on the table, but a 28-inch one would definitely have to go on the bed. However, the location is excellent! Turn right out of the hotel, and in less than 50 meters, maybe even just 30 meters, you're at Bencoolen MRT Station Exit A. Super convenient for getting around, thumbs up, it's truly fantastic! The front desk has a lady who speaks Chinese.

The hotel was really comfortable, and the room size was just right. The bed was super comfy too. A few small details regarding cleanliness could be improved, but overall it was good. It's only a 2-minute walk from the subway station, right at Exit 1 of Orchard Road. Behind the hotel, on the basement level of Tanglin Mall, there's a supermarket where a bottle of mineral water costs 0.85, whereas the exact same water is 3.3 SGD at 7-11. I didn't find any bugs in the room during my stay.

This is an older hotel with basic facilities. It's comparable to a 3-star hotel in China, and the breakfast is about what you'd expect from a 3-4 star hotel there. Of course, the price is also around 300, but in Singapore dollars. If you're not traveling with family, you'd find much better standard room options and accommodations for the same price. Our family of four stayed here specifically for the two large beds. The hotel's location isn't far from the MRT station. Haji Lane and BOSS HOTEL (the starting point for the Legoland shuttle) are all within walking distance, and there are many bus routes nearby, making transportation very convenient. There are plenty of food and drink options downstairs, and there's an Indian minimart across the street from the hotel that's much cheaper than the 7-Eleven down the block. I misplaced something and when I called, they immediately knew which room I was in and what I had lost, which shows excellent coordination between the front desk and housekeeping. Thumbs up for that!

Stayed in their family room which is really two adjoining rooms. One has a double bed with a bath tub, the other has two single beds with a shower. Basins are outside the toilet altogether. Room 5155 has a nice view to the Southernmost point and the islands beyond in the Singapore Strait (and you can also watch the movies screened every night but without sound). Easiest way to move between the lobby and the room is by cutting across the swimming pool area at level 3. If you're looking for food options, there is a 7 eleven nearby, a French bistro and a fusion restaurant a few steps beyond that, and then the one altitude bar (but not open to kids) with a restaurant beside it (that is open to kids) in the next hotel. Convenient access to Kidzania via the bridge at level 2, and to Imbiah station (but gotta cross the road).

Pros: Helpful and accommodating staff. Cons: Old facilities, low value for money, exterior and corridor noise, plumbing odors. Review: We had a very mixed experience at this hotel and ultimately felt the value for money was quite low given the condition of the property. We were initially assigned a room on the 2nd floor, and it had several issues. The view faced the parking lot, which meant we were woken up at 7:00 AM ish by the noise of trucks. The room's soundproofing was also poor—whenever people spoke in the corridor, we could hear their conversations. To top it off, the facilities and pipes are very old, causing a persistent, highly unpleasant sewage smell to come from the toilet. However, the saving grace of this hotel is its staff. After we raised our concerns about the noise, the condition, and the odor, the front desk team was very nice and understanding. They managed to transfer us to a room on a higher floor, facing street view, which was a significant improvement and much quieter. While we greatly appreciated the excellent customer service and the quick room change, the overall building is in desperate need of an upgrade and better insulation. If you choose to stay here, I highly recommend requesting a room on a higher floor away from the parking lot right at check-in.

First time staying at Pan Pacific 3D2N stay was pleasant. As we book connecting room , and have to wait a bit longer for our other room to be ready the reception display their best professionalism to accommodate. The room was spacious, mini fridge filled with drinks and chocolate reserve for guests for quick snack. Like the motorized curtains. The amenities like coffee machine come in handy for a good coffee. Our high floor panoramic city view room, we did manage to catch a glimpse of the Singapore flyer, marina bay sands from outside our room which is a breath taking view. Hope we get to book marina view next time.The pool was big and my kids enjoy relaxing and swimming. The foot reflexology treatment was relaxing and comforting. Overall I'm delighted with my staycation from the moment we arrive, we were welcome and greeted by the bell attendant, front reception, even check out was smooth and till our departure the hotel staff hospitality has treated us well. On side note if room service food/halal breakfast spread is available would be added advantage for Muslim guests. 👍👍

I stayed for several days, and on some of those days, my neighbors were Indian or Malaysian families with kids who made a lot of noise late into the night and started up again very early in the morning. However, the bedding was clean and comfortable, and the room design was sensible, making it look very tidy. Overall, it was a good check-in experience, though the check-out time of 12 PM was strictly enforced!

This is definitely bang for the buck than other hotels in Singapore. The location is not that far from bus stations and Kallang station MRT. Since I love walking, it was not really a big deal for me to walk for 10mins or less. It is also located in Geylang, so it’s very quiet. My mom and I were able to sleep well. Picked Lyf at Funan cause of its accessibility to performance venues plus work. This is the second time staying at an Ascott group and serviced apartment-type hotel. The Lyf guards/staff were super helpful during check in. Rooms were from level 5 onwards, situated on both sides of the lift and via a secured door of which we had to tap our room card to access the corridor of rooms. Meaning corridor of rooms (left and right side of the lift) also had its own secured entrance. We could even use the DiscoverASR app on our phone to access our hotel room. Love this idea so much. I feel all hotels should implement this system. There was a black board outside each room for us to draw something should we wish. Each room also came with its own unique door design, which resembled local gates and doors in Singapore. Which is pretty cool! Hotel room was fairly clean, but I did find a huge fingernail on the sheets at one point, which I threw in the bin. Bathroom was good. While I do appreciate the compact creativity of the bathroom, it does not allow a guest to place the bathroom mat in the bathroom itself, without risk of getting it wet or soaked. Instead, placing it outside (in the bedroom) felt more feasible, though not aesthetically pleasing. Love the Ideology shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, and hand wash! They always reminds me of Aesop products. Shower water pressure was good, and one could choose between shower head or rain shower. AC was good too, though I do wish that we are able to adjust the temp. I tried to set it lower than 20, but was unable to. Bed was an interesting structure of a mattress on a wooden (plank) “shelf”, which meant that it was lower than a normal bed height. This allowed for better usage of the room space, though older guests might find trouble getting up. I do love that there was a small space from the mattress, which allowed us to place our phone/charging devices, even a drink beside us. There was a small room safe was underneath the bed too. However, as the middle leg of the wooden structure also supported the weight of the structure, this meant that one might stub their toes/feet into it. Guests mentioned that they didn’t like having to crawl across the bed to draw the blinds up and down, which is exactly I had to do too. As there was some landscaping works going on, I also saw a giant grasshopper outside. Very nature vibes! There was breakfast provided daily on Level 5. Nothing fancy but still pretty decent. There was a mix of local/asian and some western cuisine on the menu. Staff at the breakfast area were super amicable and efficient. Appreciated that there was a small kettle, and two mugs in the room. Which meant there was no need to head to communal kitchen for hot water should one decide to have a cuppa or instant soup. There was however no mini fridge in the room. And no telly either, not even a small one. Not a huge issue as a staycation, but might have been a deterrent if I had been visiting. At 18sq metres, this basic one of a kind room was also much smaller than the Lyf on Elizabeth St in Melbourne - which had a telly and fridge, at 22sq metres. There was however considerable good usage of the room at Lyf @ Funan. Hanging racks instead of a wardrobe. Shelves of sorts, and hidden corners to put your stuff in. Some worked better than others. As I normally make my bed before checking out, I wondered if it was more difficult for housekeeping to make the beds of these sort of rooms considering the height and the fact that it’s wedged to the end at the window. Nevertheless, albeit the shortcomings in the functionality of a some design aspects, I would definitely still stay here again, if the price was right. They have strong competition from nearby hotels. Place is good. Safe, and easy to get to, even if it’s past midnight or 6am in the morning. The entrance to Funan is actually open, and there’s a straight lift to the hotel. maccas downstairs that opens till 2am.

Booked a room for my anniversary celebration and was pleased with the service of the team. Didn’t know the hotel is now kid friendly as well as we thought it was only adult only, but it has become an all ages hotel since 2023! Check-in at the hotel was incredibly slow. The front desk staff were quite old and didn't speak Chinese. We arrived at noon and couldn't check in, so we just completed the paperwork and left our luggage. When we came back in the evening, we had to queue again to get our room assigned. The room itself was very satisfactory and clean. However, the mini-fridge was drawer-style and completely at room temperature. There was no bottled water; we had to refill from a water dispenser which looked quite dirty. Luckily, the supermarket in the basement of Funan Mall across from the hotel sold cheap water – 1.5 liters for S$0.85, which saved us. Coca-Cola was S$3 for two 500ml bottles, much cheaper than 7-Eleven where the same size was S$3.8. Funan Mall also has plenty of dining options like Ya Kun Kaya Toast and Song Fa Bak Kut Teh.

This was the most awkward and uncomfortable incident during my trip to Singapore. I accept the staff's apology (as it wasn't intentional). However, I hope the hotel investigates which part of the process caused my room to show as checked out, strengthens its management, and avoids causing trouble for guests in the future!

Overall I enjoyed my stay at the A Bugis Hotel. It is conveniently located and the front desk is always available to help and friendly. I stayed in a double twin room with no windows, this was not an issue for me as I mostly used it to sleep. The shower was easy to use and hot water came immediately. A few areas for improvement - the common hallway floor is white and attracts loose hair easily and it's very obvious to the eye. This creates a sense of uncleanliness even though everything else was fine - there is very little sound proofing through the doors, anyone talking in the hallway will sound like they are right by your door. I think some improvements can be made to make the doors more insulated for guests to have more privacy - there is no dish soap to wash hands by the sink. The staff instructed me to use the shower gel but that required me to step into my shower each time. While I understand the need to be eco conscious, it cannot hurt to install a soap dispenser near the sink for ease of frequent use.

First of all, a big thank you to May at the front desk! She was always smiling and enthusiastic, and even kindly helped us check into one of our rooms early so we could rest up and start our wonderful Singapore trip. What you see is what you get – the reality matches the pictures perfectly. The value for money is good, and the rooms even have standard Chinese power outlets, so no worries if you forgot your adapter. Getting to attractions like Merlion Park is usually just one bus ride away, taking about 20 minutes. The only place that's a bit further is the zoo, which takes around 1 hour and 40 minutes by bus. There are plenty of affordable dining options nearby; I particularly enjoyed the Indian food, which is definitely worth trying in Singapore. You'll also find Sheng Siong Supermarket and NTUC FairPrice nearby, both offering reasonably priced goods. And if you head over to Lorong 17, you can find durians – 3 boxes for 10 SGD is already excellent!

I recently stayed at Dorsett Hotel and would like to share my feedback. While the overall stay was acceptable, there are several areas that require improvement. The room maintenance needs more attention. The bedside lamp was not functioning, and the weighing scale could not be used as the display light was not working. These basic facilities should be properly checked before guest arrival. At the swimming pool, there were no towels provided, which was quite inconvenient. Additionally, when I first entered the room, there was an unpleasant odor, similar to a previous vomit smell. Although the hotel staff attempted to spray and freshen the room, the smell was still noticeable and affected the comfort of the stay. I hope the hotel can improve its maintenance checks and overall room readiness to ensure a better guest experience in the future.
