This hotel absolutely deserves a full five-star rating for its location, service, and ambiance! Upon arrival, the front desk thoughtfully offered a smoothie and a cold towel, instantly refreshing us from the scorching travel heat. After check-in, a staff member personally escorted us to our room, and we even received meticulous turndown service in the evening – a truly excellent experience. The location is also impeccable. Directly across the river is the famous Dutch Square (Red Square), and it's only about a 200-meter walk to Jonker Street and the night market, making it incredibly convenient for getting around. What surprised me the most was discovering, while looking through old photos, that I had unknowingly captured this hotel in a picture way back in 2012 when I first visited Malacca. To reunite with it years later as a guest feels like a rare and wonderful serendipitous encounter. Highly recommended!

Our second stop in Malaysia was The Majestic Malacca, and I was absolutely captivated by its vintage charm. The decor in the lobby, courtyard, and even the rooms was incredibly photogenic. It's a historic building itself, and the overall design, furnishings, and soft decor perfectly matched my aesthetic – I was so pleased! The hotel service was excellent, embodying the attentive spirit of British butler service. The staff were also very warm and welcoming, and the breakfast was of exceptionally high quality. All in all, I absolutely loved this hotel. The only minor drawback was the soundproofing, which isn't ideal and might bother light sleepers. However, compared to the beauty of the property and the outstanding service, it's a minor detail I can easily overlook.

This hotel isn't too far from Jonker Street, nor is it too close; it's quite near Dataran Pahlawan. A great and affordable dining option nearby is Family Corner. The hotel is very comfortable, with a swimming pool and a gym. All the in-room facilities worked well. The only downside is the carpeted floor, which can be a bit inconvenient as carpets are prone to getting dirty. Service was good.

The bed was comfortable, and the room offered a beautiful city and river view, especially at night. The location is one of the biggest advantages of this hotel. It is close to many popular attractions, shopping malls, restaurants, and local food spots, making it easy to explore the city without spending too much time traveling. The hotel facilities were excellent, including the swimming pool, fitness center, and other recreational areas. Everything was clean and well organized, creating a relaxing atmosphere throughout my stay. The staff were friendly, polite, and always ready to help. The check-in and check-out process was smooth, and their hospitality made the experience even better. Overall, The Shore Hotel & Residences offers excellent value for money with comfortable rooms, great facilities, and a fantastic location. Booked the deluxe suite which was good and big for my family of 2 adults and 2 kids. And it comes with a small living area and mini kitchen which was good for preparing foods for kids. Just one area which the hotel can improve will be that the room cleaning can be better, eg. We requested for room cleaning but when we were back, the toilet basin was not cleaned at all, stains were able to be seen, which was disappointing.

Checked in around 2:20pm for a 3pm check-in — understandable, so we waited. Came back at 3:10pm to find only 1 of our 3 booked rooms ready. We asked to wait for all three so our family could check in together. The receptionist (Aina) promised to call once all rooms were ready — we waited in the lobby, but the call never came, and we watched guests who arrived after us get their keys first. When we finally went back to the desk, a different staff member, Airina, discovered Aina had gone off shift without handing over our pending check-in. Airina took ownership immediately, stayed patient and empathetic despite our frustration, and got us checked in quickly. Bottom line: Poor handover and communication at check-in let the experience down, but Airina’s service recovery deserves real credit — she turned a frustrating situation around professionally. Also, we found a used towels stashed in the wardrobe at the corner. As a 4-star hotel, I expected a better upkeep service. A little disappointed but generally still a pleasant stay nonetheless.

This hotel is located within walking distance to Jonker Street. Built Melaka, and Stadhuy's, as well as to many cafes and eateries. While one may point to many other hotels populated there. Ibis Melaka stands out above most others with clean and working facilities and amenities. I have stayed in a number of hotels there and I can safely say that the hotel will meet the expectation of many people. The reception staffs are efficient. The cleaning staffs are hardworking. I had a restful stay there.

a great budget hotel find for anyone looking for a comfortable stay without breaking the bank. the room was really cozy. got upgraded for a bigger room for f.o.c and it came fully equipped with a tv, iron and kettle nor mineral water. as a muslim travelers, they also provide a clear qibla direction sticker. the aircond was superb too, really cold and perfect for a good night's sleep. the bathroom was the best part, it was clean and the water pressure was really strong which makes showering so refreshing plus most importantly, it has a bidet hose, which is a huge plus. the elevators are okay so no long waits. the staff are very friendly and welcoming also theres plenty of parking space, not to worry about finding a spot for parking. hotel location very strategic & located in the middle a city & convenience store for restaurants, i have to walk a little bit, but it’s a manageable distance. one minor downside, the room soundproofing isnt the best, i can occasionally hear noise from the hallway or outside the room. if youre a light sleeper, you might want to take note of that. overall i highly recommended for those who want comfort on a budget

It was super comfortable—providing the perfect night's sleep after a long day of exploring the city. Parking was also convenient . The hotel combines a great location with excellent comfort. If you are looking for a clean, relaxing, and spacious place to stay in Melaka, I highly recommend The Sterling. We will definitely be back!

The hotel is located by the river with excellent views. Room 604 directly overlooks the Malacca River. I was very lucky to catch three big firework shows directly from the hotel during the Qingming Festival. However, the room's color scheme is quite oppressive, so I wouldn't recommend it for those who are sensitive. There's a secret door in the room; I asked the front desk and they said it can only be opened from the other side if mine is open. From the outside, it looks like it's for pipe repairs or something.

I had a very pleasant stay at Baba House Melaka and was genuinely impressed by the overall experience. I stayed on the ground floor and was pleasantly surprised that there was very little noise disturbance throughout my stay. The air-conditioning was excellent, which was especially appreciated in the hot weather, and the shower experience was fantastic — strong water pressure and very comfortable. The breakfast selection was enjoyable, and the location made it very convenient to call a Grab whenever needed. There were only two minor issues during my stay. I noticed a small area in the corner of the room that appeared to have some leftover sauce residue, possibly from a previous guest, and the bathroom sink drainage was slightly clogged. However, these were relatively minor compared to the overall positive experience. Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay. The hotel has a lovely atmosphere, and I would definitely consider staying here again when visiting Melaka. Thank you to the team for the hospitality!
