The room was superb, with a beautiful KL city view — and yes, you can see KLCC from the room! 🏙️The swimming pool and sauna were probably my favourite parts of the stay. The only thing that needed improvement is the cleanliness - the room is clean but upon check in, there are few bits and pieces of plastic or probably little clean up leftover from the house keeping. Not a big deal but if this can be further improved, it can definitely make the stay more great. I booked the Pullman Kuala Lumpur City Centre for F1 during the National Day holiday, knowing it would be late and hotel prices would be heavily inflated. I chose this Pullman after extensive research and comparing many reviews. However, right after booking, prices kept dropping due to the Indonesian haze… frustrating 😓.
The hotel itself is an older upscale chain with a certain sense of history. The facilities are quite dated; the overall decor, air conditioning, hairdryer, and iron all show their age, but they are maintained relatively cleanly. Noise is a major issue: 1) There's a construction site right outside the hotel. 2) The door gaps are very wide, offering no sound insulation (and I was given a room near the elevator, so I could hear people checking in late every night). 3) The air conditioning unit is old and makes a clunking noise when operating.
There are still some positives: The buffet breakfast offers a good variety and tastes decent, and there's plenty of seating, so you rarely have to queue. There's an outdoor pool and gym on the 10th floor, both well-maintained. The location is also quite good; Pavilion is just across the road, but note that you can't just walk straight across as there's no crosswalk. You have to walk about 300 meters to use the pedestrian bridge (the same bridge also leads directly to the Petronas Twin Towers).
Overall, it's decent. Shopping and dining in the vicinity are well-covered. However, the value for money significantly drops during holidays. If you can get it for a few hundred during off-peak times, it would be excellent value, given its prime location.DariAED 347

I read many reviews saying the area was unsafe, but after arriving, I realized it was mainly due to the market behind the hotel. We didn't encounter any safety issues during our stay, and walking around a few times was perfectly normal.

As we booked the executive club, we were entitled to the club benefits, where we enjoyed ourselves every evening with great snacks and drinks, served by Audray. He is cheerful and attentive. He is always ready to clear the table in a timely manner, and make sure we get the help we need.
In the morning, you can choose to have breakfast at level 3 cafe with a wider range of food choices, or you can choose to have a quiet breakfast in the lounge, served by White. Even though the food choice is lesser compared to the cafe, the food was yummy and sufficient.
The swimming pool is small, enough if you just want a quick dip. I am not a gym person, but it is available.
This hotel is connected to lalaport by bridge. Is convenient and easily accessible.

The hotel's location is excellent, just a stone's throw from a major transportation hub, Pasar Seni station, which is a big metro interchange. Kuala Lumpur Railway Station and Pasar Seni Bus Hub are also nearby. Everything is connected by pedestrian walkways, which is very convenient. The hotel is located in Chinatown. Two famous Kuala Lumpur markets, Central Market and Petaling Street Market, are right next to it. Check-in was very quick. I liked the lobby with its stained-glass windows. I stayed on the 10th floor in room 1006. The view from my window was amazing, overlooking the Merdeka 118 tower and the famous Sri Mahamariamman Temple (where I unexpectedly stumbled upon an Indian wedding!). The room looked smaller than on the website, but it was cozy enough. It had everything necessary, including complimentary bottled water, tea, coffee, creamer, and sugar. The towels could do with being replaced. Hot water was always available, and there was shower gel and shampoo. Housekeeping was by request; you just needed to inform the reception. Since breakfast wasn't included in my rate, I had breakfast at the Mango Cafe in the hotel on the ground floor. The menu was limited, buffet-style, but I always found something to eat, and the coffee was good. Breakfast cost 22 ringgit and was served until 10:30 AM. The hotel's laundry service wasn't working as the machines were broken, but there's a paid 24/7 laundry service right across the street where you can wash and dry clothes, which is what everyone did. There are plenty of cafes and grocery stores (7-11, KK) nearby. Attractions are within walking distance, so you can take an evening stroll. The area feels safe, although there are harmless homeless people on the streets. Directly behind the hotel is a bus stop, which is stop number 17 Central Market on the Garden Route (Blue Line) of the KL Hop-on Hop-off tour bus. So if you decide to take this tour, you can catch the bus right outside the hotel. As I said, the hotel's location is simply ideal. I highly recommend this hotel to everyone.DariAED 123

Booked a staycation here specifically to catch the Pokémon 30th Anniversary event at KLCC Park, and the location could not be more strategic! Easy access to KLCC, plus they even provide a buggy service directly to the mall.
The room was clean and well-equipped, but the highlight was definitely the view. It was absolutely majestic overlooking KLCC. Watching the Pokémon drone show right from our room window was an unforgettable experience, and the kids enjoyed every second of it!
Since we spent most of our time out catching Pokémon, we didn't get to visit the pool. But honestly, no complaints at all because the room had a bathtub, which kept the kids super happy!
Food-wise, everything was on point:
Club Lounge: Chefs were quick to refill the spread even though it was super busy.
Gobo Chit Chat Restaurant: The breakfast buffet spread was good and more than enough to start the day.
A special shoutout to the male staff at the Club Lounge reception during our check-in. Excellent service from check-in to check-out! Strategic Location, Comfortable Stay and Friendly Service
The hotel is located in the Pekeliling area, close to Kuala Lumpur Hospital, Tunku Azizah Hospital, IJN and several private hospitals. It is also close to public transportation hubs such as buses, MRT, monorail and LRT, making it convenient to access various destinations.
My previous stay experience made me return because of its location, which is close to many facilities. The room was clean, with a very good mattress and pillows as normally provided by the Marriott chain. The air conditioning was cool, the bathroom was clean, and a sofa was also provided for relaxation.However, the TV in the room still uses satellite TV and has not yet been upgraded to a Smart TV.
The underground parking at RM10 per day and valet parking at RM30 per entry are good conveniences. The hotel also provides a 1.5 metre swimming pool, a small pool for children, a gymnasium, a small library and a comfortable cafe.
The breakfast selection was quite varied and good. Outside the hotel, there are also Chinese seafood restaurants, a halal Chinese restaurant and several other dining options.
Special appreciation to Mr Fasyal from the reception team for providing a clear explanation of the room and hotel. Thank you also to Mr Minhanzur from the lobby team for helping to carry and deliver the luggage and for explaining the hotel well. Both provided friendly service and made guests feel welcome.

Location is good. It’s about a 5-minute walk to Bukit Nanas Monorail. The room was great, and the washing machine and dryer were both functioning well. They also provided detergent, which was a nice touch.
I stayed in the single room while my parents stayed in the master bedroom. Overall, everything was great except for a very long/non-stop “beeeeeeeep” sound, especially at night.
For people who are sensitive to noise, this might be quite annoying, as it was for me. I’m not sure where the sound came from, but I could only hear it when I was in my room, not in the toilet. Maybe it was coming from the air conditioner. When I switched the aircond off or set the temperature around 23–24°C, the sound disappeared. However, when I set the aircond to the coldest temperature, the beeping sound came back.DariAED 199

Initial room conditions:
When we first entered the room we encountered these things:
- Leftover jacket from the previous guest(?)
- stains on the chairs
- water stains on the wardrobe
- dead ants in the wardrobe
- a flickering light
Service:
Because we chose to stay for 7 nights, we had a 1 free make-up room offered to us which we appreciated. However when we flagged up the issues we found on the first day, they gave us a make-up room on the second day and consumed our free make-up room without our choice. We wanted to use it in the middle of the trip like the 4th day. Because of this we had no toilet paper, tissue box was empty, towels were not replaced.
After the 2nd day, they no longer replied to our texts when we enquired about using the sports lounge, requesting a makeup room, getting more toilet paper. Very bad service.
After their make-up room, they removed the jacket and cleaned the seat stains, but they did not fix the light or clean the dead ants in the wardrobe. We understand fixing a light might not be possible but the ants were easily removable and we did it ourselves after they left. It felt like they were cutting corners as they also did not replace our tissue box, clean the dead ants or clean the water stains on the wardrobe.
Ceylonz:
The hotel comes with

Room:
- the amenities provided are not the same for every room, the last time we came there was a water dispenser and pull-out kitchen, this time there isn't (same five senses at ceylonz, same room type)

- the walls are relatively soundproof so you cannot hear other rooms but the door is not and the hallway is very audible from inside the room, we can hear people chatting, checking in, pulling luggages
Bed:
- not soft, hard bed with springs
- pillows and blanket is okay
- uncomfortable bed
We would have given this place a glowing review if they:
- Stuck to their 1 complimentary makeup room offered
- service: replied to our enquiries at all after the 2nd day

The hotel gave a great first impression. The lobby smelled amazing and had a luxurious feel, and all the receptionists and staff were friendly and welcoming. Parking is available in front of the hotel, but I opted for valet parking at RM30 for 24 hours.
The room was a little small but still comfortable and acceptable. Bed and pillow was extremely good. We got complimentary water and KitKat in the fridge, and the bathroom was spacious. The shower and toilet are separated, but the biggest downside for me was that there was no bidet in the toilet. 😅
The kids’ club was great and my child really enjoyed it. We didn’t get a chance to try the pool. Breakfast was really delicious with plenty of choices. My personal favourite was the nasi impit with kuah kacang — so good!
I also requested a complimentary anniversary cake. It took quite a while and I had to call a few times to follow up, but we finally received it on the second day. Thankfully, the cake was really delicious! Room cleaning was also a bit slow. We requested housekeeping in the morning while my husband took our child to the kids’ club, but when we came back around 1pm, the room still hadn’t been cleaned. We were told there weren’t enough staff.
Overall, we had a great staycation here and would definitely consider coming back. Everything was great except for the toilet with no bidet. 😅DariAED 294

This is an established luxury hotel, centrally located in the business district. It's directly opposite Pavilion Mall, and close to Lot 10, Starhill, and Jalan Alor, among other malls and attractions. However, it's a bit of a distance from the Petronas Twin Towers, so you'll need to take a taxi.
Overall, the hotel is great. I didn't find the decor outdated; instead, it has a subtle sense of luxury. The service attitude was excellent. Even though I initially didn't realize tipping was expected, the service remained attentive. I later observed that the hotel staff maintain the same helpful and enthusiastic attitude towards carrying luggage, regardless of whether they receive a tip or not.
While the breakfast selection isn't vast, it has everything you'd need. They even had jackfruit among the fruits, and the special Indian roti canai was also very good.DariAED 472

We stayed at this hotel a few years ago, and returning this time with our family was such a wonderful surprise. The hotel has been newly renovated, and we were truly in awe of how beautiful everything looked!
The hospitality was exceptional, the food was great, and the location made it easy to access the malls nearby. We especially recommend staying in the Club Premium rooms, where you can enjoy a more private breakfast setting and refreshments served at the clubhouse.
Every staff member was incredibly friendly, always smiling and greeting us warmly. We genuinely felt so welcomed throughout our stay.

Great location! I chose this hotel to celebrate my husband’s birthday and also because I wanted my children to see and stay near the Petronas Twin Towers. Having breakfast with a view of the Twin Towers was definitely on our checklist, and it did not disappoint.
The room was clean, comfortable, and had no unpleasant smell. All the staff during breakfast were top-notch , very attentive, efficient, and genuinely helpful in taking care of us. Especially mimi and farhan
Breakfast ended at 10:30am, and I noticed that all the staff quickly started wrapping up and putting away the food and drinks. At that time, I was looking for a cup to get some mango lassi. A male staff member with glasses on, noticed me and immediately asked what I needed. I told him I wanted some mango lassi but couldn’t find a glass.
Even though the glassware was no longer nearby and everything was already being cleared away, he quickly went to get a takeaway cup for me. He then asked the head chef/captain to fill it up for me in the kitchen even though the mango lassi had already been taken away.
I was genuinely grateful for that extra effort, especially with all the chaos of closing the breakfast service. It was such a small gesture, but it really showed how attentive and thoughtful the staff were.
One thing that did disappoint me, however, was the communication between Trip.com and Grand Hyatt. I had sent a request through Trip.com mentioning that we would be celebrating my husband’s birthday and would really appreciate it if the hotel could arrange a small birthday cake as a surprise. I also requested a room with a good view, as this was my children’s first time visiting Kuala Lumpur, and requested a baby crib as well.
However, when we checked in, none of these requests had been arranged. When the lady and bellboy came to our room with our luggage, I asked her if they had received my requests through their system. Fortunately, she was very helpful and quickly arranged the birthday cake and baby crib for us.
From this, I realised that Grand Hyatt had most likely not received my requests from Trip.com, despite Trip.com showing that a “reply was received” in the system. I understand that requests are subject to availability and cannot always be guaranteed, but better communication between the two sides would have made the experience even more seamless.
Other than that, everything was wonderful. The location, the view, the cleanliness, and especially the service made our stay very memorable. If the communication issue between Trip.com and the hotel could be improved, it would have been a near-perfect arrangement for our family. Booking Shaw's Inn was definitely the best decision I made on this trip! It's located on the edge of Bukit Bintang. The hotel is probably a four-star, a little bit old but offers excellent value for money. The top floor has a swimming pool and a gym. You can even see half of the Twin Towers' night view from inside the hotel. There's a Starbucks right at the front desk, and the rooms come with a mini-fridge, welcome drinks, and a coffee machine. The breakfast was also fantastic; I booked a room with breakfast for two people for just over 400. Downstairs, there's a super delicious chicken rice place, and the durian stall (called Yes) across the street is incredibly tasty and cheap. Across the road is a 7-Eleven, but I highly recommend the local supermarket called KK instead – everything there is much cheaper than 7-Eleven, including food and drinks. So, it perfectly met all my basic needs. The main thing is, it's easy to get a taxi! Very convenient for getting around! The service attitude was also great. Highly recommended. They require a deposit upon check-in; we paid in RMB cash since we didn't have Malaysian Ringgit, and it was returned immediately upon check-out.DariAED 223

Quite a surprise! I booked this hotel last minute, and the price was great. After checking in, I found it to be very clean and much quieter than the hotel next door. Banyan Tree does not disappoint. The zen-like retreat atmosphere and the super attentive staff reminds me of the first trip I made here last year. Nice Room with a Lovely KL Tower View
I had a pleasant stay at Flora by Crossroads Hotel. I stayed on the first floor in a room facing the main road, with a lovely view of KL Tower. The room itself was comfortable and suitable for a short stay.
The hot shower worked well and was one of the things I enjoyed during my stay. The bathroom could use a little more attention in terms of cleanliness and maintenance. There were some visible stains on the walls and floor, the basin was draining slowly, and the toilet had a minor leakage issue.
Just a small reminder for the housekeeping team to remember to replace the complimentary drinking water for the next guest, as it may have simply been overlooked during room preparation.
Overall, I enjoyed my stay and especially the KL Tower view. With a little more attention to bathroom cleanliness, maintenance and room preparation, the overall guest experience could be even better.DariAED 59

Indie Hotel is tucked away in a quiet corner of Bukit Ceylon, making it a great escape from the busy city while still being close to everything.
