There was no staff at the front desk when we arrived at 5pm. After 5 minutes, a female staff member named Kayla came out and helped a man because the man hadn't bought a travel adapter and couldn't connect to WiFi because of his phone problem. My family hadn't been kept standing and waited for 10 minutes because of no staff and later just one staff helping other's personal problems. Then Kayla started serving my family to check in. But it's another magical 25-minute process. She got my info and card tapped for deposit within 5 minutes. I thought very soon my room key cards will be given to me. But I then have to stand and keep looking at the back of the desktop computer she is using for 15 minutes. She pressed many buttons on the keyboard. But all my family members feel she is not good at IT. Later, two male and another smart female staff are out and help other customers to complete the check-ins. Those entered later than me can get the room key cards earlier because other staff are far more efficient than Kayla. While the two male staff are helping the man's phone connection to WiFi, Kayla put me aside and joined the two male staff to look at the phone. I was shocked how Kayla can keep me standing for 40 minutes and go away without giving me the room key cards. I told Kayla I'm in a hurry then it seems that's the moment she started working for my room key. Finally, I got the key 5 minutes later. I spent only two nights in Brisbane and this 45-minute check-in had already took a large part of my holiday. Maybe this is Kayla's way to keep people spending time in Brisbane and in her hotel.

My Worst Experience at a W Hotel to Date I have stayed at various W properties, but my recent one-night stay at W Brisbane was easily my most disappointing experience with the brand. For a hotel that prides itself on design and luxury, the functional execution of the room was severely lacking. There were several significant issues that made for a very uncomfortable night: Poor Room Design: The air conditioning is positioned in a way that it blew directly onto my face all night. It was impossible to deflect, and I had to sleep on the other end of the bed. Then I had another issue below. Disruptive Noise: The in-room refrigerator was close the the bed and making distracting noises throughout the night that made it difficult to sleep. Between the mechanical noise and the poorly placed AC, I barely got any rest. Maintenance & Cleanliness: after I woke up in the morning, I was shocked to find a visible hole in the bed sheets. This is not the level of quality control one expects from a five-star establishment. And the bath tub has visible torn and wears. Also the motel level toothbrush. Service: there was no staff at the door helped me and my 70 yo mom with our luggages. I hvae to acknowledge that we arrived quite late but I did expect quality service from a lux hotel. And also no free upgrade offered like my stays with other W. Honestly, I am just glad my stay was only for one night. I expected much better from the W brand and won't be rushing back to this particular location.

Breakfast was AUD 45 for one day, but if you booked it for three consecutive nights or more, it was AUD 35 per meal. The food was decent. The biggest advantage was definitely the excellent location, making it easy to walk everywhere. From the room, you could see a landmark building. Oh, and the 'king bed' was actually just two twin beds pushed together.

Brisbane Airport is located by the sea, and it's a 30-minute light rail ride from the city center. The city center itself is built along the Brisbane River. It's not a huge city but quite beautiful. The Stamford Hotel is situated at the tip of a peninsula, right next to the City Botanic Gardens, and about a 700-800 meter walk from the central train station. Most of the main attractions are along the river, making it very convenient for sightseeing. I'd say its location is probably the best. The hotel also maintains high standards, falling somewhere between a Hilton and a Conrad in terms of luxury.

I am amazed by this place-YHA Brisbane city-I chose an all girls room and it was amazing, with lockers, clean and money well spent! Location is within walking distance from the Roma station, Roma street park, Victoria bridge, South bank, CBD, walking street, even the Brisbane Botanic Garden and the old parliament house! After checking out you can leave your bag within the day and still use some amenities! I was truly amazed with that and the staff are superb! Will book YHA in other cities as well! The 63rd-floor view was absolutely amazing, offering a wide-open panorama that was simply the best. My two-night stay was perfectly comfortable and enjoyable. The apartment is right in front of the Botanic Gardens, which was great for morning strolls and exercise. Its convenient location also made it easy to walk to various places. The staff were friendly. However, the cleanliness of the room was not good and definitely needs improvement – seriously! There was a lot of dust, and the dishes and cooking utensils weren't thoroughly cleaned. This was a significant disappointment!

It was a good short stay. I reached early before the Check-in time but the room was ready, and i get to check-in straight away. It was a fast check-in since i already pre-book the room from Trip.com. I had a really great stay at this hotel during my time in Brisbane. Its location is definitely one of its strong suits: it's just a short walk from the City Botanic Gardens and situated in an area bustling with cafes, restaurants, and bars, making it incredibly easy to find a fantastic spot for breakfast or any other meal without having to venture far. The room itself was clean, modern, and well-maintained. I particularly enjoyed the bathroom, which featured a spacious walk-in shower and a delightful rainfall showerhead, perfect for unwinding after a day of sightseeing. I didn't try the hotel's breakfast as, given the abundance of cafes right nearby, I opted to eat out every morning instead. The staff were consistently kind, helpful, and professional, making the check-in process smooth and quick. A 100 AUD security deposit is required upon check-in, which is then refunded according to the hotel's policy. Overall, it was an excellent experience, and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfortable, clean accommodation in an excellent location for exploring Brisbane.

Stayed in an Executive Suite (one-bedroom apartment) on a Friday night for $250. Overall, a solid stay with a few caveats. The layout is excellent. You get a proper separate bathroom, a generous open-plan kitchen and living area, plus a balcony that makes the space feel even larger. The bedroom is also well sized and includes a built-in wardrobe, which is genuinely useful if you’re staying more than a night or travelling for business. Location is a real strength. You’re right in the CBD, making it easy to walk to restaurants, offices, and the river precinct. For a Brisbane city stay, convenience is hard to fault. Where the property slips slightly is in the feel of the fixtures and finishes. They’re not old or worn out, but they already feel a bit dated stylistically. It gives the apartment a slightly tired vibe despite being perfectly functional and clean. Value wise, $250 on a Friday night for this amount of space and a central location is reasonable

We had a very pleasant stay at Sofitel Brisbane Central. The location was excellent, making it very convenient to explore Brisbane, and all the staff we met were friendly and helpful. We stayed as a family of three with our child, and the room was spacious and comfortable enough for all of us, which made our stay especially enjoyable. One area that could be improved is the carpet cleanliness. The overall hotel was comfortable, but I felt the carpet could have been cleaned a little more thoroughly. Breakfast was good, although I would have loved to see a wider selection of Asian food. On the other hand, the fresh fruit was excellent and the coffee was very good, so we still enjoyed breakfast each morning. Overall, we had a lovely stay and would be happy to stay here again, especially because of the great location, spacious room, and kind staff.

The lobby smelt clean however our room and floor level smelt terribly of garbage. These are self serviced apartments so don’t expect to have your room cleaned daily! Or new clean towels or your bed made. A very aged hotel and the room had little natural light. For the price they really should be able to get a steam cleaner out and replace some things. Pile of dust & mould in the bedroom, fry pan unusable, bin was not empty on arrival, very old wool blankets on the bed which included a cigarette burn hole! The rooms are mostly clean however the carpet was grotty with several large stains. One-bedroom apartment with an extra small room is definitely useless. Car park fee $35 per night is costly.

Just a minute's walk from the station, though I did get a bit lost finding the entrance. The reception staff were friendly, informative, and helpful. The room was clean and well-maintained. I made a request, and the FV staff provided service that exceeded my expectations, making my stay very pleasant. Near the weekend, the area gets a bit lively at night due to its location, but it's not noisy at all. There are plenty of supermarkets and restaurants nearby, so you won't have trouble shopping or finding places to eat. I would definitely stay at this hotel again:)

The hotel is currently undergoing renovations; the restaurant is closed and there's construction. Our room, however, had been refurbished. They tried to make it 'smoke-free' by spraying some kind of citronella, but the smell only went away after two hours with the window open. The elevator didn't quite reach our floor, and after we reported it, they declared it 'out of order.' The bathroom facilities were fine, and we did sleep well. Nearly every hotel here is called 'Airport,' so we went to the wrong one first. It's also further from the airport than we expected, costing 20 AUD for a taxi. So, at the moment, it's not really recommended, but the price was good.

Bus stop that brings you to the city centre 2. South Square where there are pharmacy, supermarkets and restaurants such as TikTok viral Sue’s Burgers and Shakes If you love to take long walks or strolls, from Quest Woolloongabba, you could also get to other cafes like Brown Dog Cafe or Paw Paw Cafe which serves really good coffee and food.

The location was absolutely perfect, being incredibly close to Brisbane's Roma Street Station. In other backpacker hostels near Coles, you'd have to walk downhill for about 11 minutes to the station or drag heavy luggage, which is a real pain. But here, getting around was so easy and hassle-free, which I really appreciated. Usually, I only book 4-bed dorms, but this was my first time trying a 6-bed dorm. Surprisingly, it was much quieter and more comfortable than a 4-bed dorm, perhaps because there were fewer people using it. If you're visiting during the off-peak season, it might be a good tip to try your luck (gamble) with a 6-bed or even 8-bed dorm! The lounge and kitchen on the second floor are conveniently located together, making it really easy to socialize and use the facilities during my stay. Overall, it was a very satisfying stay. 💡 **Booking Tip!** If you're with a companion and want adjoining beds (like a double bed setup), I recommend emailing the hostel in advance to request this before your arrival!

They change towels, and there's tea, coffee, hot chocolate, and milk available. The downside is that it was very cold when we stayed in winter. The air conditioning didn't work for heating. A maintenance worker came, but nothing changed. The washing machine was old, and we struggled to close the door until the administrator from reception came to help. The hotel is right in the city center, so everything is within walking distance. The Sky Deck is 15 minutes away, the train station is across the street, and there's a grocery store in the same building.

The hotel's location is excellent, right opposite the botanical gardens, and just three streets away from the city center. However, the room decor is quite old-fashioned. The hot and cold water taps are separate, making it very tricky to adjust the water temperature in the shower. The toilet flush is on the wall behind you, so you have to reach back after standing up to press it. Dining at the restaurant was a nightmare. After placing our order, they said they needed to change the gas and it would take 20 minutes. About 10 minutes later, a strong smell of gas filled the air... They offered to deliver the food to our room but couldn't guarantee when it would arrive today.

I recently stayed at Pullman Hotel and unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. For the price point, the quality felt far below expectations. The rooms are clearly outdated — the shower and overall bathroom setup feel old and in need of renovation. The bedding was also poor quality and uncomfortable, which is not what you expect from a hotel in this category. Service was another major letdown. Out of roughly 10 interactions entering and leaving the hotel, only once did a staff member make eye contact or acknowledge me. There was a clear lack of warmth, attentiveness, and basic hospitality. The restaurants were particularly frustrating — inflexible service and a general lack of customer care made dining an unpleasant experience. Overall, it feels like you’re paying premium prices for a product that simply doesn’t deliver. Significant improvements are needed in both service and facilities to justify the cost.

The accessibility to the city was great, so I walked everywhere without needing public transportation. If you're coming directly from the airport, Rome Termini Station seems to be the most convenient. It's a bit of an uphill walk from Termini, so brace yourself! But it's downhill when you're leaving with your luggage, which is nice. ^_^ All the surrounding places are backpacker hostels, but I think this one offers the best value for money.

This hotel was average in pretty much every sense. It was ”fine” in that it had two bedrooms, a bathroom, kitchen and living room. The layout was not very functional, the toilet was pretty much in the middle of the bathroom, the power points were hidden behind the middle of the double bed there were three chairs for four people. Staff were helpful but the television didn't always connect and there wasn't enough dishwashing supplies, bin bags or toilet paper for our stay, which all involved trips to reception. The hotel location is a short walk to Queen Street mall and lots of, mostly Asian, restaurants.

The location was great. The beds good. We had a great few from the balcony onto the river. The apartment is dated, this is visible in the bathroom and the carpet should be replaced. The curtains had stains and I wasn’t sure, if they were dirty or grey. The chairs also show their age. During our stay one elevator was under maintenance, which made the waiting time for the free elevator quite long. There is parking for $39 per night inside the complex. Unfortunately the complex does not offer flat rates for weekend or public holidays. So one might be better off to park in one of the many car parks near by for as low as $9 (online) a day on the weekend.

The hotel is very conveniently located, just an 8-minute walk from Queen Street Walk and a 3-4-minute walk from the Brisbane River. It's also easily accessible by bus and ferry. The apartment-style rooms are spacious and well-equipped. The kitchen is fully equipped with a stove, microwave, oven, pots and pans, and cutlery. Everything is spotless, and there are also washing and drying facilities. The most thoughtful thing is that while the room was supposed to be cleaned once a week when I booked, it was actually cleaned daily. Everything is immaculately tidy, which is a great relief after a trip. The hotel's security is also very good, and there seems to be an outdoor pool, but I didn't get to experience it, which was a bit of a shame.

It is an apartment with 1 bedroom, 1 living room, 1 kitchen and 1 bathroom. The living room and bedroom each have a large balcony. It is very spacious and suitable for a family. The kitchen utensils are complete, and you can cook by yourself after shopping. Room service is available every day. This price is suitable for a family to live in, and if traveling alone, it is a bit expensive.

Check in was good with a very friendly and informative front desk Concierge. Our room was tidy and neat but it did not have a view of the Story Bridge as stated in our booking. So we went down to the front desk who quickly upgraded our booking to the next floor up with a bigger room and the most fantastic view of the Story Bridge from the lounge and bedroom. The hotel is situated walking distance to the Botanical Gardens, Southbank and City. We had breakfast supplied in our booking but the restaurant was only for take away so we had a voucher to spend on coffee and cabinet food which was OK. I Would recommend staying at Oakwood but make sure your room has a view of the bridge...Its totally worth the experience.

Fantastic! This apartment hotel is amazing. It comes with a kitchen, living room, laundry facilities, and a balcony with stunning views of Brisbane from the bed. Plus, it's really close to museums, art galleries, and the library. I'm so happy with this apartment hotel! Was very surprised when I arrived at the standard of this hotel. It was very reasonably priced and I was expecting maybe a 3.5 star room for the price I paid so was very impressed to find I had a spacious one bedroom apartment complete with full kitchen and laundry, very luxurious bathroom and was very homely. Excellent location, straight out the door to one of the main streets of the CBD. No swimming pools or other amenities but I wasn’t phased by that. One of the few hotels left where you can buzz any visitors in and send them up the lift without having to leave your room and go down to meet your guests. They also had photos hanging on the walls inside your apartment with a brief write up about the history of the building which was very interesting. Was especially fascinated by one photo in particular showing the Main Street when people used horses for transport, all pre-car era.

I remember that I had a very good impression of this hotel when I stayed there for the first time last month, but this time it seemed to echo my premonition of human destiny.
