Amazing hotel overlooking the fortress at Galle and the Indian Ocean. Staff can't do enough for you. Room and en suite fantastic with 2 balconies overlooking the pool and gardens and the ocean and the fort. Super breakfasts and great choice of dinner menu - European and local.

Loved this hotel, amazing rooms, fantastic service and great food. Couldn’t ask for more. Will be back.

Overall, it was an enjoyable stay although in some respects it was inferior to other hotels I stayed in on the holiday. The pools were great and so was the view from the room. The room itself was alright - quite basic but sufficient. We did have problems with a leak in the ceiling which was promptly addressed by staff but still a little annoying. In general the staff were lovely: in particular Chamindu in the restaurant, a security guard who called me and my partner over to show us turtles on the beach (sorry, can't remember his name) and the guy working the sunloungers at the lower pool. The weakest part was probably the food. It wasn't bad exactly, it was just worse than the food in all the other hotels I stayed in.

Friendly staff. Great food. Beautiful view. Elephants visit hotel grounds every now and then. Hotel has safety measures in place. Nice pool (has a different and beautiful vibe at night). Keep an eye out and you might spot other animals too! Note: The sea view cabanas had the best view

Our last stop in Sri Lanka, for 5 days, before going to Colombo. The hotel environment is really nice and the pool is big enough so our child got to swim nonstop. Nonetheless, the hotel room, even though it was spacious, had some defaults: the curtains didn't close completely so the blackout is just a waste. We stayed on the first floor, with garden view, so the bathroom was very big but there was no separation between the toilette and the shower which meant that every time we used it, there was water everywhere. We asked if we could change but apparently all the rooms on the 1st floor are like that and the 2nd floor rooms were more expensive. Moreover, the food was a bit of an issue for us: we were aware we were going off-season but the main restaurant was always closed for midday (for our entire stay) and the menu they offered on the restaurant above the lobby area was mainly fast food or very spicy food, which was problematic with our child. On that note, and if you don't like spicy food, make sure to ask a hundred times if it's not spicy. The night we arrived we ordered pizza and spaghetti bolognese - and asked for it not to be spicy - and both things were unetable. Who makes a super spicy spaghetti bolognese? The pizza was supposed to be a chicken one but it was also very spicy. We ended up eating some snacks, we brought with us, in the room. The breakfast buffet was good, specially if there were lots of guests, and the dinner was OK: again, they didn't have a lot of non spicy choices for chicken or fish. Everything is quite spicy even though they say it is not (I guess we just don't have the same level of tolerance for spicy food). Overall the hotel is not bad but it could be better, specially if it is rated as a 5 stars hotel. The room needs some renewal and the bathroom situation really needs to be addressed.

We stayed for 2 nights and wished we stayed longer! Room was spacious and clean with an amazing view on the high floor. We had dinner buffet at Weligama Kitchen and food was great! Breakfast served there was delicious with great variety from Western , Asian, Indian but the Sri Lankan style breakfast was the best! Tide Bar is a great place to relax and have drinks with scrumptious snack too. We spent most of our time at the resort and it was very relaxing. The environment was suitable for couples and family at the same time. Lastly, service was top notch, everyone was friendly and helpful. TK and Kalpani from Weligama kitchen always checking on us, Sachinthaka , Asanka and Dharmika from Tides always cheerful and greeting us when we head there for drinks. Would definitely return and recommend to family and friends visiting beautiful Sri Lanka!

It was the amazing place i have visited. Had a great welcome from front line staff. Room is perfect and had a great view. Dinner and breakfast was amazing and very tasty. Breakfast bufet had a wide selection of western and local food. I requested to arrange a birthday cake at the breakfast time and they were arranged a tasty cake with special birthday surprise. Overall can be give 10 out of 10.

Проживали в отеле в июле 2024г., всё очень понравилось. Отзывчивый персонал, заселение и выезд из отеля не заняли много времени. На завтраках порадовало обилие фруктов, на ужин очень много сладостей. Меню завтрака и ужина разнообразное. Два пляжа, бассейн, ухоженная зеленая территория. Прекрасный, спокойный отдых! Номера действительно уставшие, но это не являлось проблемой. Нам всё очень понравилось!

I booked this hotel for a friend for one night and the room was good and quite large. However, the food quality was really disappointing. The food served was of very low quality and tasted terrible. It was a let down, especially since the room was otherwise quite nice. While this is a decent place to stay for the room quality, I would strongly recommend against purchasing any food on-site. The food was so bad that it overshadowed the positive aspects of the hotel stay. The hotel management should look into improving the quality of the food offerings to provide a more well-rounded guest experience. Until the food issues are addressed, I would advise travelers to avoid dining at this hotel and to seek out other dining options nearby instead.

Da unsere geplante Unterkunft kurzfristig doch nicht in Frage kam, fanden wir über *********** auf das Cozy Sea View Inn und ließen uns dort von unserem TukTukfahrer absetzten. Wir wurden herzlich empfangen und konnten uns nach zwei besichtigten Zimmern für eines entscheiden. Wir entschieden uns für eines im Erdgeschoss mit kleiner Terasse. Das Zimmer war sehr geräumig, sauber, gut ausgestattet und roch sehr gut. Direkt neben unserem Zimmer befand sich ein Fitnessstudio, welches von den Hotelgästen mitbenutzt werden kann. Wir nahmen dies nicht in Anspruch, fanden die Möglichkeit dennoch toll. Der Manager Rajesh war sehr freundlich und bemüht. Als er mitbekam, dass wir weiter nach Unawatuna reisen wollen, bot uns, da einer seiner Fahrer sowieso in die Richtung müsse, uns mitzunehmen. Auch die Lage des Hotels, in einer Seitenstraße zur Hauptstraße war für uns optimal. Der Strand war in wenigen Gehminuten zu erreichen, als auch eine Riesen Auswahl an Restaurants und anderen Eibkaufsmöglichkeiten. Wir waren wirklich sehr froh über unseren spontanen Glücksgriff und kommen gerne wieder.

Доступность к океану, просто выйдя из номера и. Сделав 10 шагов. Персонал весь начиная от директора , менеджеров , шеф повара и помощников весьма и весьма приятные люди. Которые готовы помочь в любое время суток. Номера очень приятные, чистые и со вкусом убраны. Эти кровати с великолепными матрасами и балдахинами мммм. Это что то. Чувствуешь себя принцессой. Еда отменная. Очень свежая и вкусная. Бассейн чистый. Подход к океану, безупречный. Песочек мелкий и такой блестящий словно из мелких бриллиантов. Блестит на солнышке. Ни каких проблем с проживанием не было. Все идеально. Цена . Качество. Комфорт.ребята, не ищите больше отелей. Берите и не переживайте не о чем. Мы за этот сезон посетили несколько. Этот идеальный! И для взрослых и для детей!. Благодарю всех за мой идеальный отдых в отеле мечты!

Family run hotel in a perfect location to explore Galle fort. The hosts were very attentive and gave us recommendations for the area. They helped with printing out documents which was greatly appreciated. Tea, Coffee and filtered water are provided along with a roof terrace. You can also buy gems and jewellery in the reception area. Thank you for hosting us!

The hotel is not that simple to get to. Once you leave a nice hard top road, you have to drive down a long dirt road for about 10 mins to get to the hotel itself. That road can become a bit flooded if it rains hard - as it did on one day we were there - and that can prevent some guests getting in and out of the hotel. We’d had a lovely quiet evening meal one night and only found out afterwards that there had been a large group due in but couldn’t get down the road. Generally, it’s ‘normal’ vehicles and buses that bring people but, on occasion, a 4x4 would be better. On the days we arrived and left the roads were passable but you could see how they become easily impassable with rivulets running across it. The hotel though is lovely. The old one was washed away in the tsunami but the replacement looks strongly built, with its exposed concrete and stone construction there for all to see. That doesn’t make it cold and like a factory though. Far from it. It feels like it belongs where it is and its appropriate for a climate that varied between sun, wind and heavy rain whilst we were there. Whilst there are bedrooms on the ground floor (plus the gym and spa), most of the hotel’s common spaces are on the top floor, where reception, the bar and a la carte restaurant are. The main restaurant is one floor down, which has a nice view from the verandas around the outside. We had drinks in the bar on a couple of evenings, choosing to sit on the covered balcony as the indoor space - complete with pool table - whilst lovely was rather cold. The cocktails we had were really well made and come with our recommendation. We didn’t try the a la carte restaurant. Frankly, there was no need to from a food perspective. It was excellent all the time in the main one. The hotel tends to get large groups stay, who like to sit together (and create quite a noise), so the main restaurant can get quite noisy. The a la carte would offer a break from that as it’s in its own, quiet space. We genuinely couldn’t fault the food at the hotel. Breakfast always had a large choice ranging from cold offerings, cereal and salad, through to traditional Sri Lankan and hot western options. Tea and coffee was to order whilst you helped yourself to juice. The story was similar for evening meals too. If anything, evening meals catered less for western palettes and more for the Chinese guests that frequent the hotel. There were always lots of local Sri Lankan dishes too, which were simply delicious. All the hot food was outside the main restaurant space, under cover, with much of it being cooked in front of you. The cold starters and desserts were indoors. I have to say, one odd highlight was the soups. Every night there were 2 soups on offer and they were really good. I did have a tiny bug bear sometimes, which correlated with the busiest nights. That was the staff were a little too keen to clear plates. On occasion, you’d literally be chewing still and hadn’t quite put your cutlery dow

The hotel is very new, everything is in a very good condition and we liked the concept that it’s not a standard Hilton. You can feel that the service routines are not at the level as it should be, but the staff were always friendly a helpful.

Stayed for four nights and had a fantastic time at the hotel. Great experience when checking in and were warmly greeted by the general manager and other staff. Lovely hotel on the beach front with lots of positives at the hotel. Large room with lovely shower and a nice balcony. Great breakfasand reasonable prices on drinks 🍻 and other meals that were available during our stay. Staff very friendly and many good restaurants within walking distance especially Top Secret restaurant. Superb facilities such as pool table 🎱 table tennis 🏓 darts 🎯 and table football ⚽️. Lovely swimming pool that was clean. Will definitely be back when in Tangalle in the future

設施：齊全，美觀，就是使用方法和注意事項需要聽管家給你交代，比如衹能用他們家的洗浴用品，因為怕其他的洗浴用品會腐蝕特製的浴缸和盥洗池之類的。 衞生：原生態，乾淨。餐廳裏有烏鴉築巢，超酷。 環境：最喜歡的部分，也是最遺憾的部分，沒有在酒店偶遇大象，不過看到了野豬家族和蜥蜴。海邊的環境很棒，私人沙灘，就是印度洋的浪有點太大了😅。餐廳的夜間燈光很昏暗，可能是故意這樣設計的，大家不要在那個環境玩手機，容易瞎。 服務：每個房間都配有管家，他管家會加你的微信，告訴你入住細節和如何享受酒店的服務，比如我們去的時候，小哥就嘰裏呱啦説了一大堆，中心思想就是讓我們趕快去吧枱或者沙灘享受他們的下午茶😆。也真的是很細緻很走心了。 大家定這個酒店就是衝著他家全包的這個概念吧？！我也是！真的千值萬值哈，帶着行李來就好，其他的交給酒店。 臨走的時候還送了我們一個大象杯子，嘻嘻😁

The main point i want to address is the dinner buffet, the food was exceptional, specially the desert section. What made that taste improve is the superb service from every chef and person, Kanishka who is the one who briefed us was specially hospitable. Though we were strangers he managed to grab our attention with his friendly demeanor. All in all this place is the perfect place for anyone who is wondering to spend time with family or just eat.

After staying at Amangalla, which was absolutely fantastic, we came to Amanwella. We were a little apprehensive after having had such a great time at the first hotel. But Amanwella was great, too! The architecture by famous Australian, Kerry Hill, is stunning and smack dab in the middle of a dreamy tropical beach! The infinity pool cantilevers over the serene and gorgeous view, with beautiful sunsets a-plenty. We enjoyed spending time in the attractive library, read and saw books on local history, to Nixon. The whole place was immaculate. We really enjoyed our safari to Yala National Park. Rujitha and an our driver Chummly accompanied us and they were awesome! Thank you guys! We had a blast! We saw monkeys, elephants and even a leopard! We got very lucky. We enjoyed the food and the people who served us in the two restaurants and the people at the front desk and even the tuk tuk drivers. We happily did yoga everyday! We also went up to the rock temple. Definitely got our steps in for the month, but it was worth it. Our room was large, comfortable, and beautiful with a great view of the ocean. We can’t say enough about the place. It’s relaxing and beautiful and the people who work there are both well trained but also kind. If you go, don’t forget to eat the ice cream! Honestly the best we’ve ever had. We also took a great cooking class with the Executive Sous Chef, who was patient, friendly and knowledgeable. So fun and interesting. We enjoyed the musicians, too! We had fun meeting a few of the other guests, and ended up having very interesting conversations with people from the other side of the world. But it’s also a place you could go and if you wanted to , you could just spend time quietly by yourself. Highly recommend Amanwella. We will treasure our memories forever.

Ce petit hôtel d'une dizaine de chambres est tenu par le patron et sa femme, tous deux très sympathiques. L'hôtel est situé tout près de la plage, dans une rue perpendiculaire à la rue principale, donc beaucoup plus calme!! Les chambres sont immenses, idem pour le lit XXL, au moins 2m20 de largeur! Très grande terrasse également... Le petit déjeuner est complet: toast avec beurre et confiture, omelette, thé ou café, salade de fruits ou jus de fruits frais selon les jours, du fromage blanc, et même de délicieuses crêpes au chocolat ou à la banane... Il y a beaucoup d'espaces par rapport au petit nombre de chambres, et c'est très bien comme çà. Le patron est exceptionnellement serviable, il sait toujours répondre à la moindre demande, il peut vous changer l'argent à un bon taux.... Tout était donc parfait !!!

Preshandy the Spa therapist at W15 provides an exceptional massage which is deep, intuitive and healing. I would highly recommend a visit - she is gifted. And also all the staff there were nice and helpful, room is nice view is relaxing, the music is a little loud all the day but over all it’s nice thanks to shrouq and all the staff.

Großartiges Hotel mit schönem Garten und traumhaftem Zugang zum Meer. Strand war ganz ruhig gelegen und bietet großartigen Raum zum abschalten. Die Mitarbeiter waren sehr zuvorkommend und professionell, - nochmal danke an Nathas und Sanju! Die Pizza, die man in der Hauseigenen Pizzeria bekommen kann ist Weltklasse :) Sehr zu empfehlen.

The first best quality I saw in the hotel was maintained very good customer service. They are ready to listen to the customer very well and fulfill the need quickly. The hotel has beautiful access .The view is such a amazing🔥... I just had an nice massage on there Ayurvedic spa which I would recommend everyone who visit here. The room are very clean and Luxury I just love it. I attended an event here and the food and drinks were very good and the atmosphere was very good. It is equipped with a hall with good space. This is good place where you plan to a company get together and all. Talking about food, you can get different varieties of food here. And it's taste amazing.. Overall, I can say that I got a very good experience. A hotel worth visiting.🙌

We just arrived today and completely blown away by the hospitality of the staff. Lovely clean comfortable rooms with AC . Amazing chill area and sun loungers. The beach is perfect lovely reefs with no rubbish like most other beaches I've been on this month trip . This is by far the best hotel I have visited and the price is the most reasonable for what your getting . Be aware tuktuk are hard to get on uber but staff are happy to help and you will pay rough 500 sri lankan rupees each way to fish poit main beach . But this is by far the best beach . The beach is private but you will see local boys surfing and fishing which adds to the experience.

Had a pleasant stay at the Cape Weligama in early January. Positives: Beautiful location and Spectacular views. Had Some of the best laid out rooms of our Srilanka tour Had Some of the best food we had in our Srilanka tour. Good access to the South region including the charming town of Galle. We enjoyed our time here. Negatives: Service Level was not in line with expectations for an ultra lux resort. Customization, be it tours or meals, was accommodated but after making it feel that you were being granted a ”favor” , rather than a welcome and natural accommodation of the requests. Staff communication was not as expected. Hotel Senior Management was not at all visible, in contrast to all the other hotels we stayed at in our Sri Lanka tour. The biggest negative is the value and quality of the ”experiences” offered. In my opinion massively overpriced in relation to what is provided The beach is tiny. If you are looking for beach access it may be better to stay somewhere else (maybe the nearby Marriott). All in all, this is a good hotel that could do a lot better by raising its service level and providing better value.
