I booked a deluxe double room for just one night. We were very happy with our room, which was spacious, clean and well appointed. The bed was very comfortable as were the pillows. The welcome from Reception was warm and friendly. There is parking at the hotel but this is run by NCP and costs just under £10 for a 24 hour stay. Payment is via an APP so I suggest installing that on your phone before you arrive. There is not the option to pay by cash or card at the machine. The hotel itself is very charming, with individually decorated bedrooms and a host of period features and furniture in the public rooms. We were meeting my son for dinner in a nearby restaurant for dinner so cannot comment on the Dining Room and we opted out of breakfast as we had an early lunch arranged. We did enjoy some cocktails in Brazz, where the service and quality of the drinks were appreciated.

Located close to the town centre, you're just minutes from the home of Somerset Cricket, key business destinations, and within easy reach of the best that the South West has to offer. Be bowled over at the Somerset County Cricket Club. Pick a winner at Taunton Racecourse, or take the whole family on a trip through time on the West Somerset Steam Railway. After a busy day, you can kick back in our tasty on-site restaurant, whilst the kids explore the fun factory. And when everyone's tired out, relax in our spacious rooms and extra-comfy beds.

Leisure facilities good. Food good. Couldn’t really fault it. Beds comfy.

Unfortunately our overnight sleep was shortened by the drunk men fighting directly outside our (ground floor) room between 02:45am and 03:15am. They then had a break but came back with reinforcements (more drunk screaming women) at 03:30am. Interesting and informative perhaps but not conducive to a good night's rest. The staff (not surprisingly) didn't intervene and, if they did call the Riot Squad or Water Cannon, these failed to appear. Oh ... and it was 'all Toby's fault'. Apparently. Let's hope he was suitably chastised.

Perfect for one night stay. Very close to Taunton centre. Good breakfast.
