This hotel is probably at the lower end of the usually-good Scandic hotel chain. It is a two-story hotel which hosts tour groups (with their loud buses) and , it seems, lond distance truck drivers too. Room was not properly vacuumed upon entry and televisions were not working. Apparently, none of the rooms' televisions were working--yet the restaurant TV was fine. They needed to address that ASAP, as it is a feature they advertise. Breakfast was perfectly adequate...no complaints there.

Most enjoyable two night stay with super staff - both at check-in with Marcus and all those working in the restaurant. The harbour location is really quiet and well off the main road. Charming rorbu fishermen's cottage (this is not a 3/4 star standard hotel so you should do a little research in advance as to facilities). Strong wi-fi and looking out on the harbour from our cottage was idyllic. The restaurant, separately housed, was equally impressive in all respects and for evening meals do not even consider Ballstad town, stay home and eat ”in.” Ambience, cuisine and service was very good indeed. Thanks to all.

My husband and I had an awesome time on this deep sea fishing trip with Captain Borge! We were blown away with the amount of fish we caught as a group. The Captain has such an immense wealth of knowledge. It was amazing to learn how to fish from him and to see him fillet the fish! Would definitely do this again and recommend to friends! And all for a very competitive price!

My very first experience with glamping was memorable. The view was extraordinary, the room was big enough and we had almost everything we needed there. The bed was made from a special wood, that smelled like forest the entire stay. Notice that the bathroom is 50m away from the room. The few steps you have to do back to the room after shower/toilet can be freezing in case of cold or rainy weather. Some dish soap and a sponge to clean the cutlery would be great to have at the glamping.
