Very supportive caretaker, john uncle as he is affly called, takes very good care and provides every support. Comfortable stay. A common issue that is out of control is the 3-hour power cut in the afternoon and another 2-3-hour cut in the early morning

We stayed here in a private room for 4 nights and this was probably the best decision in the entire trip. The rooms were super comfortable and clean and the staffs were super helpful. We needed a printout of a document for our trek and the zostel printer was not working. Shabbir bhai sent someone to get it printed from a nearby shop and refused to take the charges from us. The amazing hospitality we received from this zostel was truly the highlight of our trip. Being an unmarried couple it was a tricky for us to find a couple-friendly accommodation in Srinagar during our travel days, but we were glad that zostel came to our rescue. The best part was we easily found travel buddies and shared cabs to Gulmarg and ********. This not only helped us to meet likeminded people but also helped us to share the cab costs for the day-trips. I always had the belief that Kashmir was more of a honeymoon or family destination but it is not. Lots of bachelor crowds do visit Kashmir and Zostel is the ideal place to meet them. Stories were shared and new places were added to the bucketlist during our interaction with other travellers. If you are travelling solo, or in a group, or are just a couple like us, I highly recommend you to try out Zostel.
