A Fantastic Stay at Dayin International Youth Hostel in Shanghai! I recently had the pleasure of staying at Dayin International Youth Hostel in Shanghai, and I must say, it was an absolutely amazing experience! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and welcoming atmosphere that made me feel right at home. Location: The hostel is perfectly located in the heart of Shanghai, making it incredibly convenient to explore all the city has to offer. It’s just a short walk from major attractions like people’s square and the surrounding area is filled with great restaurants, shops, and local markets. The transportation links are also excellent, with several subway stations nearby. Accommodation: The rooms are clean, cozy, and well-maintained. I stayed in a dormitory, and it was surprisingly spacious and comfortable. The beds were very comfortable, and the hostel provides all the necessary amenities like fresh linens, storage space, and even charging stations. The common areas are also well-designed, with plenty of seating and a nice lounge where you can relax or socialize with other travelers. Facilities:  offers a range of fantastic facilities. The hostel has a well-equipped kitchen where you can prepare your own meals, which is a great way to save some money while traveling. There’s also a free Wi-Fi connection throughout the building, which worked perfectly for me. I particularly loved the rooftop terrace, where you can enjoy stunning views of the city skyline and catch some fresh air. Staff: One of the standout aspects of this hostel is the staff. They are incredibly friendly, helpful, and always ready to assist with any requests. Whether it was getting directions, recommending places to visit, or helping with travel plans, they went above and beyond to make sure my stay was perfect. They even organized a few social events during my stay, which was a great way to meet other travelers and make some new friends. Overall Experience My stay at Dayin International Youth Hostel was truly memorable. The combination of a great location, comfortable accommodations, excellent facilities, and the most welcoming staff made my experience in Shanghai even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this hostel to anyone looking for a comfortable and budget-friendly place to stay in this amazing city. Thank you!

The hostel location is amazing, right next to Wujiang Road with lots of nice places to eat nearby. The common area is quite small but cozy and quiet.  Bathrooms are clean and new.  Rooms are clean and beds comfortable, I stayed in a 8 people's shared room and the only downside is that the space between beds is small, so it can get quite crowded with people's stuff in it.

The location was convenient, with easy access to nearby attractions and being very close to the bus/metro stations. However, the bathroom does not separate the toilet and shower, and there is no clothes rack. So every time I took a shower, I had to put both clean and dirty clothes, and clean tower into a small box, which was hung right above the squatting toilet. So when I opened the box to get clothes, I was always worried that some items might fall into the squatting toilet below. Additionally, the layout of the rooms for men and women is not well organized, as men can walk by the women's toilets and vice versa. Overall, it was an okay experience, but I wouldn’t stay here again when I’m in Shanghai.

This hotel is located in very good location. Just 5 mins walk to Popmart and Nanjing Road. The guy in front office is very helpful, he helped managing the goods delivery with local logistic. I would recommend this hotel if you visit Shanghai and look for best location in city.

— English version below — L’ostello è situato in una zona centralissima, vicino al Bund e a due passi da Nanjing road. Ottimo punto di partenza per visitare la città! Noi abbiamo prenotato una camera con bagno privato, piccola ma confortevole. Il personale è gentile e disponibile per informazioni. La grande e luminosa sala comune è dotata di distributore d’acqua potabile (indispensabile) e macchinetta del caffè a disposizione degli ospiti che desiderino utilizzarla la mattina per colazione. La struttura è dotata anche di un locale lavanderia con lavatrici e asciugatrici. Il servizio si paga comodamente tramite Alipay! The hostel is located in a central area next to the Bund, very close to the famous Nanjing Road. We booked a double room with a private bathroom. The room was tiny, but comfortable. The staff is kind and helpful. In the great and bright common room there are a water dispenser and a coffee machine if you want to have breakfast there. There is also a very practical laundry. You can pay the service via Alipay!

Staffs are very friendly. Location is great, walking distance to 南京路 The building seems to be in an apartment Many eateries around. Room is clean. Toilet is not as clean as the room, there’s no tissue paper not sure if it’s a culture thing.

The hostel provides a cozy and clean environment, with an exceptional level of service from the staff. Special thanks to Tao, who went above and beyond to assist us, making our stay truly memorable. The entire team was attentive and friendly, always ready to help with any requests. The location is fantastic—very close to Shanghai’s main railway station—making it convenient for travelers. Overall, it’s a great choice for budget-friendly comfort and convenience in the city.

The location is quite meh, not too close not too far to the famous locations so thats good, i came up to the receptionist wanting to check in and not only was it a smooth check in but also had a nice chat with the manager(i think he was the manager), honestly the manager made me very positive about the place, he deserves a raise goddamn hahahah though there was one thing i hated, it was the fact that you had to ask for a new passcode everytime you go in your room and it renews every 2 hours, thank God the manager made it a very positive experience because if not, i will probably be writing a very different kind of review. He was so delightful even after checkout, he sent me off with a bottle of water. 10/10 for the manager, 7/10 for the actual hotel and i suggest you do something about the cigarette smell, when i returned, i smelt on the clothes i left out in the room, mind you i am not a smoker, it all smelt like cigarettes and i had to wash everything, anyways good experience, would only return because of the manager👌🏻 and no soap or shampoo was provided

Exit from East Nanjing Metro then look for Exit 5(stairs) or Exit 6(Escalator) then around 3-4mins walk will reach the Hostel. The Hostel No lift and at the 3rd floor. So far my roommates were great, not making much noise or snoring 😄. Each bunkbed room will have own toilet. Cleaning Lady clean everyday. Bed is a bit hard but still bearable. Each cubicle has curtain and charging point. Exactly like the picture. They provide locker which can lock it with the door card. Got space for luggage and shoes. Overall its a good stay. And there are so much of food downstairs. U can easily find all the best noodles at this area.

This is the best location for me to visit Shanghai, connect by subway 8,9,10..north,eas,, west of city. The wifi is as good as 5 star hotel as I can watch EPL soccer game without interruption.Clean and nice staffs working at front desk..and cleaning is good..Area is not crowded as other place..and nice neighborhood. Will come back again next time visit Shanghai...
