The Girls room are a bit messy, the balcony door can’t be lock is worry some. and the room towards road is a bit noisy, bathroom are also can’t air well.

I have to say it's the best Youth Hostel I have ever stayed in Barcelona. The location is near the guell park, compared to the other popular location, it's not noisy and really quiet at night. Everything is clean, you can a nice aroma everywhere once you enter into the hostel. They provided the locker and the key, so it's also safety. I would definitely choose it for the next time's travel in Barcelona.

This place is VERY far from the city centre and the beaches so keep that in mind when booking. Although the hostel itself is safe, bussing back at 5 am which takes about 1 hour from the clubs and city centre is not great. The room is small but it does the job. Staff are super nice and the amenities are good.

Overall, a good stay with a Few Minor Issues
I stayed at Safestay Barcelona Gothic from June 17–18, 2025, in a 12-bed mixed dorm. The experience was mostly positive.
✅ Pros:
The location is excellent — just a 5-minute walk from the metro, which made it easy to get around.
If you have an early flight (like mine at 08:30), this is a good place to stay as you can easily reach the airport in time.
The dorm, bathrooms, and common areas were all neat and clean.
Wi-Fi worked well throughout my stay.
The staff was friendly and spoke good English.
Definitely value for money.
⚠️ Cons:
The check-in time listed in my confirmation email was 14:00, but they didn’t allow check-in until 15:00. This was a bit inconvenient.
Breakfast was not included in the booking.
Overall, it’s a decent and budget-friendly option in a central area, especially for solo or budget travellers. I would recommend it for short stays.

Since I arrived the recepcionist attended all the needs possible and well explained the organisation system that there is made for the porpouse of the hostess.
I felt comfortable at any moment, and the environment was great too. The cleaning system it's very professional as I saw how they work and they did not interrupted me at any moment of my staying.
I recommend this place for students or solo travellers.

Breakfast is available EUR5 from 4 am, prearranged taxi to airport is available on pre booking first come first get basis. Midnight bus n17 to the airport is at the corner of the hotel accepted by T casual mobility card. An elevator is available at the hotel, highly recommended

The dormitory is very clean and the staffs are nice and helpful. Even the dormitory-mates are very nice too😊 It’s a brilliant choice for an affordable stay. I really enjoy this stay💕

2205258****This is my second time staying at this youth hostel, and it's still as great as ever. The location is especially fantastic; I spent 5 days exploring Barcelona and was able to walk to many famous attractions like Casa Milà, Casa Batlló, Sagrada Familia, and Hospital de Sant Pau. It's just a 5-minute walk to Passeig de Gràcia, and we even caught the Christmas light-up ceremony, which was wonderful and super convenient. The room price is reasonable too, though they don't provide toiletries. Everything else was perfect.

GGuest UserThis hotel is really great, and the location is absolutely superb. You can walk to all the attractions, so there's no need for public transportation. As a hostel, it also feels very safe. The breakfast at 12 euros in the evening and 7 euros in the morning were both good. The front desk staff were also very nice. My only complaint is that the USB charging port was broken. I actually thought my own plug was faulty and went out to buy a new one, only to find out later it was the hotel's. I would definitely stay here again next time.

LOCATION ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
The hostel is basically located on the Ramblas so in a super central location. You can really reach the main attractions by walk from here. For example The ”Casa Batllo'” is literally next to the hostel
CLEANLINESS ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Rooms and toilets were pretty clean, nothing to complain about
SERVICE ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Also the service was great. We had a problem with the toilet door in our room and they immediately sent someone to fix it.
ACTIVITIES ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
This is in my opinion the best part of this hostel. You can join their Whatsapp group and you have basically everyday some social activities to do. From bar hopping to Sagrada Familia tour. The way they organized these activities is very well structures and I've never seen something like this anywhere else. Once you're on the WhatsApp group, forget about being alone or wondering what to do
QUALITY/PRICE RATIO ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Considering its location and the fact that it covers all the basic needs, the price is absolutely fair. In other places you would pay double the price
In conclusion I definitely recommend this hostel if you want to meet other travelers, party with them and stay in the city center without breaking the bank!

GGuest UserThe man at the reception was very kind! The breakfast had a good variety, and everything I tried was delicious. It was very convenient to buy groceries and ready-made meals from the nearby supermarket, as the room was equipped with a microwave, oven, kettle, and other cooking utensils. Both the room and the common areas were clean and comfortable. The only downside was that the bathroom in the room couldn't be locked, so I had to keep an eye on my belongings while taking a bath.

KKshaf KshafMy one stay was really smooth. Room was neat n clean. They had a heating system so it made night quite comfortable. Also had seating space at reception, games, water dispenser, microwave and quite a few other facilities. If I'll come again to spain will definitely book it. Highly recommended.

GGuest UserThe service was very good. The front desk staff was very enthusiastic. They recommended tourist attractions and restaurants to me and cared about me as a traveler. They also had a pleasant chat with us. However, the room was very poor. There were about three rooms with 12 people sharing one bathroom and toilet. The quality of the roommates was average. The bed was very hard. There was a strange smell in the room. I didn't sleep well all night.

I almost lost my phone but luckily the police find it, it is hide somewhere else in the hostel, but there is no direct evidence to charge that suspect, all the hostel can do is to kick him out. Another Korean women are that lucky as the police couldn’t find her phone at last.
The staff are really helpful when dealing with this issue and I really appreciate that. The staff did warn all guest to be careful for their own things and make sure to lock all of them in the locker the night before. The owner of the hostel also offer me help immediately during the whole process. Thank you again.
About this hostel, the location is really convenient and with a fair price in the city centre. The kitchen is a bit small but it is acceptable. The shower room is okay for me and the shower room is clean in general.
However, for the bed-set & towel you will have to pay 3 euro for it. Else, you can only sleep with a pillow with no bedsheet during your stay. If you pay card & the amount is less than 120 euro, they will charge extra 5% fee. So you better have some cash.
Like all the other hostel, you should be aware of your own valuables and lock them up in the locker.
Overall, I would recommend this hostel despite the sad incident happen on me.
