Siglo Hotel is a beautiful hotel right on the marina in Siglafjordur. Our room looked right out onto the water and the beds were SO comfortable! Breakfast was amazing and the staff could not have been friendlier. We stayed 2 nights in this beautiful town and I’ll stay here again if we come back to Iceland.

This is an outstanding hotel which lives up to all the positive reviews and exceeded our expectations. The rooms were spotless, service attentive and food excellently prepared, cooked and presented. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Can't wait to return.

We really enjoyed our stay. The spa area (hot tub overlooking the bay + sauna) and the restaurant dinner and breakfast were highlights.

There is a space for improvement in the restaurant at the hotel, the dinner. Expensive dishes, small courses and service was not up to standard, staff was lovely but needs more experience. Breakfast was great. The hotel, rooms, cleanness =＞ all great.

We only had one night here but enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The room was a nice size and the hotel is walkable to pretty much all the little village offers. The outdoor hot tub was a great place to enjoy a cocktail with a view. Only downsides: our room faced the harbor and there was activity there pretty early in the morning, and the lobby bar (for unknown reasons) will not allow you to charge drinks to your room.

We were very happy with our two nights stay at Hotel Siglo. The interior was absolutely stunning and beautiful. Reception staff was very helpful and it was nice to have Icelandic speaking staff there (I am Icelandic ) The hot tub outside and the sauna was a pleasant surprise and great to be able to use these facilities. What keeps this stay at 4 stars instead of 5 is the absolut and almost offensive prices of drinks in the bar. Understand that this is a different company that runs both the bar and restaurant which results in you not being able to put any charges to your room bill. We were not the only ones disturbed by this as other customers that were staying same time as us found this weird. The prices though were ridiculously high. Understand that everybody wants their part of the cake but this was just offensive. Resulted in that we just decided not to shop there. Have heard this from other guest staying there so maybe something to take a look at.

The thermal pool and spa were the perfect cap to a great day. Bartender was easy and friendly, letting us grab the last rays of sun with our drinks. Three course meal with wine pairing for dinner didn’t disappoint either. And a great nights sleep. Started the next day walking over to the Herring Era Museum.
