Parkway Hotel & Spa

Regularly go to the Parkway for coffee but i have no idea what happening there but its on the way down. We went about 2 weeks ago, waited quite a while for our coffee and when it arrived it was stone cold, it had obviously been sitting for quite some time in the pot and the server couldn't be bothered to check and just served it. Yes we brought it to their attention and it was replaced and the gentleman was quite apologetic. I fail to understand why the server wouldn't make fresh coffee. Today we placed an order for coffee. After 25 minutes we were still waiting and customers after us were now being served. Turned out the boy who took the order failed to actually put it through, no apology received this time. The young man, who I suspect was new, was told to apologise when he delivered the coffee (we could hear the staff conversation) however he didn't. on the plus point it was actually freshly made and hot so that was a win. There seems to be a number of people employed in the coffee shop but very few were actually working, seemed to be more of a youth club and they clearly need to be managed as they aren't capable of motivating themselves. They were moving bottles about behind the bar, chatting and laughing and walking passed a queue of tickets on the coffee machine. The customers before us also checked where their order was, however their order had actually been placed. so they struck lucky. We regularly stop at the Parkway and have taken visitors there but recently our experiences have been disappointing, if its becoming a youth club with no thought for the customer then very sadly its time to move on.

Lovely hotel, with absolutely great staff, who were always helpful and smiling. Comfortable room and very good bed, a safe and tea and coffee tray. Food was excellent and dining room service excellent.. Would definitely go back. Lovely gardens well looked after.

We received a very warm welcome at the hotel. The staff are all kind, helpful and welcoming. Our room was very comfortable and had all we needed for our stay. We used the spa facilities and had a relaxing massage. The bar food and breakfasts are excellent and very good value. We’d definitely stay again.

Booked hotel for Friday night B&B. Lovely clean tidy hotel with friendly staff, we eat in the bar area and the food was nice and well presented. Had a nice swim in the morning followed up by a tasty breakfast. Would certainly like to go back and stay again.

Amazing food at the restaurant , fresh and cooked to perfection, pan fried chicken was amazing , husband had the sirloin steak one of the best he has had in a restaurant , all well priced would highly recommend, staff were lovely , friendly and chatty

Pleasant decor, spotlessly clean rooms and the best service I have ever experienced. Every single member of staff went out of their way to be helpful and polite. The food was excellent too and the portions good. We visited on a very busy weekend with 3 functions in one day but we never felt as if we didn't matter (as a very small party of people). I would not hesitate to recommend.

Stayed here with my partner with the spa and relax, dinner, bed and breakfast package. We both had a back, neck and shoulder massage which was great. The spa area was clean and quiet. The facilities including the pool, hot tub, sauna and steam room were clean. However the ambiance was ruined by children bombing in the pool and screaming and shouting. No lifeguard there to manage this area. Good choice of food from the evening dinner menu and food was lovely. The bar staff were great, one lady called Paige was particularly accommodating and really made our stay. Nothing was too much for her and she really went out of her way to make sure that we had the best evening. Jayne on the desk was also fantastic and sorted out late check out for us. Overall a great stay. We will be going back soon!

Lovely afternoon had the food was beautiful on the evening. We all had a treatment to however I was disappointed with my facial. It was only 25 minutes and There were periods where I was led wondering if the therapist had left the room because nothing was happening and then I found out other members of the group had got a little arm and hand /shoulder massage whilst waiting for masks to set which left me feeling even more left out and disappointed

Visited the restaurant for lunch today. Excellent food and service. Good value. Food was fresh and delicious. Staff were able to cater for our food allergies (we had notified in advance). Fully recommend and will visit again. We sat outside for coffee in a very pretty garden
