The Harbour Club

W ate at the Harbour Club Restaurant on our last evening, Great service, friendly owner and wait staff, Canarian waiter very funny, Claire the waitress/historian very attentive. Food was good as was the service. Will come here again next time we are out.

I stayed here over Easter. I was really happy. Our room was in Tier2 which is up the hill. Our view from the patio was great. Apartment was clean and functional. The walk up the hill to the apartment does not get any easier, however i need the exercise. All the staff at the resort were very pleasant. I had no problem with the pool bar service. Made to feel welcome, attentive service and reasonable happy hour between 4.15 & 5.15. Lots of bars and restaurants with walking distance. It is worth taking a walk down to the harbour. Nice place to sit and watch the world go by.

Absolutely dreadful Staff in the pool bar so slow and unfriendly so annoyed at us waited 1horf for an order of microwaved tortilla 2 slices had dinner that night in the wine bar which is separate to the pool bar THE Rudest staff by far This is your job people if you don’t want to be there don’t do it ! Apartments are disgusting no air con and NO cleaning we had no clean towels for 4 days what a joke Never go here

The reception staff were very friendly and professional. The apartment was spotless and the cleaning staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms are large and have everything you could want. The pool area and pool is very clean and comfortable. The communal areas are kept well maintained. The views are spectacular. Both the daytime cafe area and nightime restaurant and entertainment are not owned by harbour club but are excellent. Los Gigantes is a lovely village with exceptional bars and restaurants. Everything is quiet after about 11 pm. Thank you harbour club for a lovely holiday.

We stayed at the Harbour Club after Christmas through the first week of January. We had a wonderful view of the sea from our patio and the location was very quiet at night. It was easy to get around either by foot to the town below or to the highway to explore the rest of Tenerife. Unit size was very nice, but the sofa and bed could use some updating and the pillows were not very good. There is no AC in the unit, but the temperatures were so nice that it was not an issue.

Ding food, awful singer, expensive drinks. Not much more to say, wouldn’t even ask my worst enemy to go. I’m sure it could be better but our experience was very poor. Didn’t stay long, once the singer droned through the second Carpenters song it was time to go.

So where to start… the receptionist provided a warm welcome and initially, from the outside, we were happy. But one inside the apartment looked like it had not been touched since the 80s. Toilet would not stop running all night, patio doors had a rickety lock that was difficult to work out. Was very very dated and looked out to the side over a sort of cavernous hole. Spacious balcony mind! The pool in the photos looks much better than it was. No air con at all and the ceiling fan in the bedroom only worked the first night. The second night, we came back from an evening out late and it only worked for five mins, was too late to call anyone out. Boiled all night. We were disappointed and didn’t want to spoil the rest of the holiday so just cut our losses and booked somewhere else at the last minute. Just didn’t want to spoil what was left by arguing about it. Don’t know if it was just our flat or if the whole block by the pool is like this.

I went in for a drink and some tapas. Looked very nice and inviting and the prices seemed about right. I took a seat and waited for the table to be cleaned. No pleasantries - just a miserable woman wiping the table down. I then waited and waited for someone to take my order. Bearing in mind it wasn’t busy, I wasn’t even offered a drink. It seemed like an hour but it was actually 20 mins. Too long for any service so I walked out.

Waited an eternity to be served or even to be acknowledged. Staff had no interest in guests and should not be working in hospitality. When I asked if we could order drinks, the waitress was very rude so we just walked out - disgraceful
