We arrived as the school holiday was ending hence almost 400 people left a day after our arrival. Dinner after arrival was very good with massive amount of choice and good quality. We were impressed. All that positive view demolished starring from next morning. RESTAURANT: Breakfast choice was reduced but that want the problem. Looking at the cheese plates their colour was off. Cucumbers and tomatoes also had the same issue. When I asked the staff they said they prepared the plates previous night. It looked they were left without cover and possibly outside of the fridge. I have asked them to remove the plates as health and safety risk which they didn’t. You could see staff and managers talking in groups and staring at me which was very unprofessional. There were a lot of staff but not enough attention to customers. Empties were piling on tables but staff was only collecting them if they are called. Manager in charge of the dinner was just walking around and instructing staff to use less tissues etc. He wasn’t welcoming or talking to the customers. Only customer he chose to speak and pay special attention was a lady on a holiday with her elderly mum. This was very strange to observe. ROOM CLEANING: If we talk about the room cleaning there was not sufficient of it. Cleaning lady was getting into the room holding one cloth and was out in less than 5 mins. No hoovering, no cleaning of toilets, not wiping bathroom floors. The drains in the bathroom were smelling disgusting. We had to ask her to put bleach in the drains to get rid of the smell which took 2 days for her to do. You could see whatever you dropped on the floor staying there all during our stay. THERMAL POOLS: temperature and cleanliness of the pools were not great. I have been to other thermal hotels where the water temperature was adequate for expectations. But in this one hot pool was not hit enough to get the goodness we were after. There were 2 cool pools suppose to be at 28C which the staff admitted they were not. Staff told us they have told the management but nothing was being done. They advised us that we should talk to the management. Which we did but nothing has changed. My overall impression is that the management is not professional and not thinking about customer satisfaction. Although the hotel is currently very new looking as it is refurbished, I would think it will be smelly and old very soon with the cleaning regime in place. I would not choose to go there again as there are better hotels in the vicinity which I have been before where it was much better service for the same price
