We stopped in Timichi at the gite 'La Belle Vue' on the first night of our walk over to Imlil. Briham (I hope i've got the spelling right) was the owner and we happened to be looking for transport from Setti Fatma to Tamichi to save us walking. He offered to take us on 2 mopeds (there were 2 of us) for 50 Dhs each. This worked out well and saved us a 4 hr walk on a tarmac road and got us to Tamichi which was a good place to start a high Atlas mounting walk to Imlil. The gite had great view and was in a traditional village. It was a dormitory with 5 beds that we stayed in but there was no-one else there when we stay, apparently June - Aug are busier months. The food was also excellent and we had both lunch, dinner and breakfast. There were also nice walks up the valley which took you through local villages, this started at the bridge across the river and followed blue dots painted on rocks up the left hand side of the valley (starts on the gite side of the bridge and you go down onto the river bed which was reasonably dry when we were there) just follow the dots. After our stay in Tachichi, we walked over the pass (3,200m) to Tachddirt, this was very easy as again there were blue dots to follow which were every 4-8m apart so lots of them. Beautiful route that went into the Jebal Toubkal national park and then on to Imlil. Only advice would be to make sure you agree prices up front and are clear on what these are for and check the bill at the end to make sure there're right.
