Excellent choice for our first visit to CR. There is no tv or radio in room….we did enjoy the quiet time, staff, view, and food was amazing!! Loved walking the grounds. Spa experience was great! Pools were well kept and the ability to drink the tap water was cool!!

Great property. The staff is great. Luis in the restaurant and Luis at front desk really helped us. It’s quaint and quiet - the sunset pool is warm and a gorgeous view. The location is great - close to airport and Poás Volcano. We did the hike on the property with the waterfalls and was beautiful. Be sure to check the timing of your visit to Poas so the volcano isn’t clouded over.

The on property hiking is incredible. There are both easy and difficult trails to hike down to the waterfalls. Beautiful birds everywhere. They let our nine year old granddaughter plant a tree for her birthday.

Beautiful villas, amazing grounds gardens and pools. Staff is friendly, attentive and professional. Food is great. Perfect place to stage your CR vacay on your days arriving and leaving. I love this place.

Enjoyed our stay here. Grounds were beautiful. Our villa was very nice. The food was very good for breakfast and dinner! I highly recommend a stay on your first night or last night before flying out.

We have stayed here every time but once when we have come to CR, and that was only because I waited too late to make reservations. It is one of our favorite places to stay. I love the funkyness of the rooms and decor, the staff are always great. Food is excellent. The pools and hot tubs are excellent, especially the infinity pool. All the rooms have a great view of the city, especially at night sitting out on your deck. My only request is that they get TVs for the rooms, especially for the rainy season when you can't get out as much. Also being handicapped and not being able to walk the beautiful grounds like I used to it would be nice to fall back on some TV watching. But if you can do without a TV, this is your #1 place to go!

Wish we'd stayed for more than just one night.
Stayed for just one night, so didntjave time to use all the excellent looking facilities. Did have enough time to wonder around the grounds and see the impressive waterfalls. Well worth the steep steps to go up and down.

Xandari is a unique and special place - magical! The grounds are extensive for a resort with a relatively small number of rooms. The private balconies are south facing with views and sunbeds. The walks around the estate take you through rainforest and along a gushing river to lovely waterfalls - you would never expect to find such trails in hotel grounds! The views from the open air restaurant were wonderful and the food delicious. We were there for just 2 nights and so did not have enough time to take advantage of the swimming pools. But we did use the spa - the treatments were lovely and the double outdoor rooms with hot tub perfect for couples.
The location is ideal for a final few days of relaxation before flying home as it is just 20 minutes from the airport. Our stay at Xandari was a last minute change to our plans and we were so glad we booked it - a final taste of paradise before leaving Costa Rica.
