First off some positives : this is not as bad as some of the other reviews would suggest! First, it is in a good location, right next to the entrance to Hopewell Rocks, so really convenient if the beach is only open for a short time early in the morning / late evening. There's a great view, and it's only a 40 minute drive to Alma / Fundy National Park, and there was a warm/helpful welcome at reception. Secondly, although it's close to the main road, it's quiet and comfortable. The room was well equipped with a good TV, large fridge, coffee machine, the bed was clean and comfortable, and the heating was good (still needed this early in the season). There was also a small wooden table and chairs in the room, some plastic seating just outside and some picnic benches in the lawn area. There is also a small pool and childrens play area (didnt use either so cant vouch for how good or bad they are) On the less positive side, the bathroom at the back of the room is a bit strange: the shower took some getting used to but once you worked out that turning to cold made it hot and turning to hot made it cold, and managed to balance the temperature it was fine. The location of the toilet on an angle was odd, and it would be useful to have a shelf or something to put your toiletries. The breakfast room is lovely, with some nice views over the Bay of Fundy, but the breakfast options were limited: toast, cereal, muffins and hard boiled eggs. I stayed a couple of nights and it was fine : probably wouldn't want to stay longer, and this isn't for anyone expecting modern hotel luxury. It does feel a little dated.
