Palazzo Castriota

A very luxurious, clean palazzo. The rooms are very spacious, clean and comfortable. Breakfast is very good and the staff (especially Salvatore - owner) is very helpful with tips on places to visit and especially to eat! We would recommend this hotel for everyone visiting the Salento area.

The hotel is small and charming with everything you could dream of. Everything was so perfectly designed, newly renovated, well kept and very clean. Personal service from Salvatore and his family made us welcome and our very good friend Enza took care of us during breakfast, serving excellent decorated food. We will not hesitate to visit again next time we are in Puglia.

If you are visiting southern Italy Palazzo Castriota is a fabulous place to stay. The rooms are spacious and beautifully comfortable, decorated in the style of the region and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The room was very quiet. The beach is a car ride nearby and there are plenty of places of historic interest to visit in the pretty town of Gallipoli. Staff were more than helpful booking great restaurants only a short walk away from the hotel. Breakfast by the pool is a real treat. The fare was local, fresh and traditional. All served by our lovely waiter. Thanks Palazzo Castriota for a lovely time.

Very special and warm place with a personal touch of Salvatore who helps you with every possible tip and Enza who makes the beautiful creation of fruits in the morning! We had a great time there. Nice small pool gives a possibility to relax, breakfast is wonderful.

Una bellissima dimora antica, ricca (per me) di ricordi d'infanzia, è stata trasformata dal bravissimo Salvatore in un'accogliente oasi di pace, eleganza e classe d'altri tempi. Per me, palazzo Castriota, rappresenta, innanzi tutto memorie tenerissime di infanzia, essendo la mia famiglia e quella di Salvatore legate da amicizia (e qualche parentela) sin da tempi remotissimi. Al di là dei bei ricordi di tempi purtroppo lontani, da sempre sostengo che il Salento abbia bisogno di operatori che aggiungano bellezza alla bellezza, che rispettino i luoghi e offrano quel calore e quell'ospitalità che è propria della nostra gente e che spesso vedo calpestata da ceffi orripilanti che si inventano "gestori", "albergatori", "ristoratori", "balneari", etc. etc. Salvatore, insieme ad altri amici di Alezio, il mio paesello, appartiene a questa elettissima categoria. Con un entusiasmo evidente, ancorché discreto, ti offre ad un prezzo più che onesto, quel bello sul bello che spero sempre di trovare nel mio Salento, ahimé con alterne fortune. Le stanze del Palazzo sono ampie e ben arredate. Il letto è confortevole e l'offerta di cuscini davvero meravigliosa (e direi unica, nel contesto dei B&B). La colazione, poi, sicuramente vi piacerà, specie se vi capiterà di farla all'aperto, accanto alla piscina, serviti con attenzione dalla gentile signora che dà una mano nella struttura. Concludo con un "bravo" a Salvatore non solo per la bella ristrutturazione, ma anche per la calda accoglienza, e con un invito davvero sentito a visitare questa bellissima dimora nel cuore del mio paese.

Demeure impeccable, à la décoration soignée et recherchée, sa piscine encrée dans son jardin ombragé, et ses chambres magnifiques avec leurs murs en pierres, leurs arches et leurs volumes anciens feront de votre séjour un moment inoubliable. Sans oublier Salvatore, le propriétaire des lieux, qui se fera un plaisir de vous conseiller afin que vous profitiez pleinement du Salento. Une mention spéciale pour Enza qui fera de vos petits déjeuners un moment unique par ses talents culinaires et sa gentillesse !!! Merci pour ce petit coin de paradis sur terre !!! Nadège & Olivier
