I barely slept for 4 nights, as the hotel was just so noisy (both from inside and outside).
One side of the hotel faces a quiet street, the other side facing a main road where lorries, cars etc travel constantly throughout the night. Despite asking for a quiet room, I was placed facing the busy road. Noise from street could be heard all night, leading to little sleep and a headache by the morning.
This hotel did not have the usual very comfortable Travelodge mattress, instead it had a bed with springs that dig into your back. My back was aching in the morning.
The room also had a noisy fridge that you can't unplug.
The soundproofing between rooms is non-existent, you can hear every word spoken and every movement in the room next door.
The room was old and very rough round the edges, e.g. badly damaged bathroom door frame, black mould around the bath and a desk lamp that didn't work.
There was no kettle in the room, as advertised. Also no tea or coffee.
No cold air from the air conditioning. Room actually got warmer when it was turned on, even turned down as cold as possible.
Water in the shower kept going cold for a few minutes at a time, then went scolding hot for 30 seconds before going cold again.
The WiFi had a good signal and was fast.
Daily housekeeping.
It's about 20-30 minutes walk to the area of the city centre with bars and restaurants. But I knew this when I booked. The C6 airport bus doesn't allow you to travel only within the city, so there's no bus available to the city centre, but the hotel has very easy access to the airport.
