Manoir de la Maison Blanche

A welcoming host and pleasant, unusual accommodation in its own grounds. Quiet position with good parking. Useful shared kitchen. Everything very clean. We were in room 4. Be aware this is accessed by an awkward 20 step external spiral staircase which is tricky to negotiate with luggage. Breakfast is reasonably good but as we stayed four nights we would have welcomed more variety. The town centre and it's restaurants are a long thirty minutes walk away so plan ahead.

What to say about the house and Annick. If you're after a warm welcome you'll get it here. The drive up to the property through the trees makes you feel like you're a million miles away from the town yet its only a 10 minute walk from the property. The house itself and the grounds are full of character with hundreds of well established trees a large pond and the rooms are lovely, spacious and yet cosy with exposed beams a typical French feel. An unusual sight at a b&b but horses and Llama's the family own are great to go and look at sometimes in the field right next to the breakfast room almost feels like they want to share. Breakfast was great with home made jams which are super tasty and in the winter the roaring fire gives such a great feeling. Can't wait to go again and can honestly say if you find something wrong, it's you not the place loved it

This was our second stay at the Maison Blanche and it only solidified our opinion that Annick is one of the premier hostesses in the Val de Loire! The continental breakfast has the best fresh breads and pastries you can imagine and the rooms are pristine as well as nicely equipped. Annick is very accommodating and there to help with resources, if you need anything. Sitting in the courtyard is a treat at any time of day and a lovely spot for a before dinner glass of wine!! When you go, don't miss the horses and llamas!! Keep up the good work Annick!! Hope to see you again soon!!

My husband and I stayed in a ground floor room in this charming & beautiful B&B in September 2022 for 4 nights. As we turned into the driveway, we looked at each other and smiled as we could already tell that it was just what we had hoped for. The room was large with a comfortable bed and dining table. Each piece of furniture was obviously chosen with care. There was a door leading into the garden and all windows had beautiful lace curtains. There is a shared kitchen where we stored the goodies we bought at the Sunday outdoor market (and ate for lunch and snacks)and tables for outdoor dining in the courtyard. Be ready for visits by the two kitties and 2 dogs, all of whom were well behaved and provided welcomed entertainment. Breakfast consisted of a delicious variety of homemade bread, croissants and other pastries along with homemade jams and preserves (and coffee, lots of coffee). The owner, Annick, is so nice and a wealth of information about the local sights. With her help, we decided at breakfast each morning where we would head to that day. We want to go back immediately, but will have to wait for next time. Thank you Annick!

I have traveled to many countries and stayed in many B&Bs, but I can honestly say this was the most restful and pleasant stay! My friend S. (who is from France) and I stayed at this most lovely Bed and Breakfast for a week. S. had stayed there before with her daughter and family and recommended the Manoir de la Maison Blanche since we wanted to visit the castles of the Loire Valley. It was so beautiful and charming! It was nestled in a rural neighborhood just minutes away from the quaint town and castle of Amboise. It is a great central location for many attractions in the area. The accomodations were delightful and spacious; the architecture and design were well thought out and our room so tastefully decorated. The outdoor courtyards and lounging areas were surrounded by roses and fragrant bushes; the grounds and landscape were inviting! The 2 llamas and horses only added to the scenery. Annick was the perfect hostess! Her breakfasts each morning were quintessential France with a delicious spread of fruit, jams, breads, yogurt, juices and teas! We hated leaving every morning but longed to return every evening! I have fond memories of my stay and getting to know Annick. I hope to return with my children and grandchildren one day!

Wat een geweldige B&B. Annick is de meest lieve, gezellige, hartverwarmende vrouw die je je maar kan wensen. Het voelde meteen als thuiskomen. We hadden geboekt voor 5 nachtjes maar wilde graag nog een nachtje extra blijven, dit was geen enke probleem. Kamers zijn super schoon, ontbijt is heerlijk, omgeving en ligging zijn perfect. Elke avond met de fiets naar Amboise gegaan om te eten. De ligging is perfect, heerlijk rustig en alles wat je nodig hebt. Een keukentje, genoeg terrasjes voor elke kamer, de mega lieve hond en kat (wat een schatten), maar het is vooral de gastvrouw wat het verblijf helemaal af maakt. Nog een dikke knuffel bij het weggaan. Een vrouw die je vanaf dag 1 in je hart sluit. Ik ga ze nog missen nu we weer thuis zijn.

Magnifique séjour chez notre hôte Annick. L'endroit est calme et relaxant avec des chevaux et des lamas appartenant à la propriétaire. Annick s'occupe du lieu presque seule et cela force notre admiration. La maison est au milieu d'un parc et est entourée de splendides arbres dont des séquoias immenses. Nous avions la plus grande chambre dans la maison principale, la plupart des autres chambres se trouvant dans une bâtisse indépendante située juste à quelques mètres en face. Chambre très grande et très agréable avec belle salle de bain et des WC indépendants. Petit déjeuner parfait avec des produits frais et d'excellentes confitures maison. Idéalement situé à 5 minutes en voiture de la ville d'Amboise et de son château. A 20 minutes de Chenonceau ou Chaumont, 1 petite heure à peine de Chambord et à 45 minutes du Zoo Parc de Beauval (à faire absolument). Il y a tellement de châteaux à visiter dans le coin et de belles forêts, Difficile de choisir mais impossible de s'ennuyer. Je recommande le logement, parfait pour une déconnection de son quotidien avec un accueil chaleureux, à un prix tout à fait correct et parfaitement situé pour découvrir notre magnifique patrimoine.

Un sejour d une semaine excellent dans une demeure plus que charmante, très bien située pour visiter la région. Une adorable propriétaire qui donne de bons conseils et qui fait des confitures délicieuses. Je recommande cet endroit +++ Ps : le prochain match de rugby c'est jeudi France /Uruguay 😁

Abbiamo trascorso 4 notti e ci siamo innamorati di questo posto. Annik è simpaticissima e la sua ospitalità è da provare. Essere circondati dalla natura e dalla tranquillità è rigenerante. Ottima anche la pulizia e la comodità con il centro del paese
