Overall had a wonderful stay at Hyatt Place Midtown-Anchorage. We stayed during a very cold spell of winter (in the negative degrees Fahrenheit our entire stay). They offered a free shuttle to & from the airport that was well organized & SUPER simple - you’ll just need to call them from the airport when you have your bags & then ensure to stop by the front desk to schedule for the ride back to the airport after your stay. Staff was great. We seemed to encounter Annette the most, & she was very helpful, understanding & kind. We requested to switch rooms for a better view of the mountains - and although we had an Office Depot sign in our view, she switched our room so we could see the gorgeous mountains on a clear day. The complimentary breakfast was impressive- tasty & more than we expected! All amenities were clean & well kept (gym, pool, business center, bar, etc). As for location, there’s quite a few restaurants, Starbucks, and a grocery store close by. It was below freezing while we were there (and we did not have transportation unless we wanted to splurge on an Uber)…so we walked to local spots. Needless to say, we did not get a chance to explore too much of downtown. The hotel backs up to Cuddy Park which looked like a quiet winter wonderland of powder & trees. Lovely. Overall, the Hyatt Place turned out to be a great stay for us. Recommended!

Gym open 24 hrs, wonderful breakfast, and staff was very friendly. Room was amazing and clean. Definitely would stay again.

This place was amazing. I had such a bad experience at the Windgate by Whyndham who wouldn't give me a refund despite not having any hot water! This place was a breath of fresh air in comparison. Great restaurant, friendly staff, clean new room. I will stay here again!

Usually have a great stay. Our room this time was run down. No water pressure with loose fixtures in the shower. Swimming area had no towels and hot tub was warm not hot.

The staff for my stay of January 6th overnight were so wonderful. They were both kind and efficient. The driver was a wonderful person on the ride to the airport. Highly recommend. The hot breakfast offered a lot of options and was presented well.

Very comfortable! Check in was quick and staff was very friendly. The room was very comfortable, quiet, and I felt safe. The breakfast was delicious and it is evident that staff makes an effort to have a quality buffet. The only issue for me was that there was a fan in the room that blew cold air and it made it a little chilly. I could not turn the fan off or the heat up with the thermostat in the room. Other than that, I would definitely stay here again, and I would highly recommend it to others!

Heater wasn’t working in my room. It was in second floor. I got sick after staying in a cold room for a hour. They changed my room after a hour staying in freezing cold room. New room was good but then the mattress wasn’t comfortable. And it was pretty noise. This was my third time staying in this property. I don’t think I’m going to stay this property anymore after this trip. This property definitely need to fix the heater issue and maybe get new mattress. Service was great. Friendly staff. Breakfast is good. Airport shuttle service is great. I also liked that they let me check out at 1pm.
