Only stayed for a night but still enjoyed my time! They gave us complimentary champagne!!

We had a great stay at the Kensington. My sons loved the fitness facility, pool and sauna. We also enjoyed breakfast in the restaurant two of our mornings. The staff accommodated a late check out for us since my son was at a camp that didn’t finish until later in the day on our day of check out. Overall a great place to stay when visiting Ann Arbor.

Jun checked me in, excellent as always. My room was on the first floor, and not large, but well laid out. There was a tear in the hem of my pillowcase, but a small thing and just a note. I do love the Kensington.

The most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept on in my entire life. Hard as a rock went to bed feeling fine woke up in an insane amount of pain.

Room was clean, staff was great, bathroom sink was cracked. Bathroom was really small. Restaurant had good food but was always out of something or a couple of something’s. I would go back.

The hvac system was down,room hot, stuffy,had I known I would not have stayed, when I asked about issue they offered a fan and I had to open and close window, should be some kind of refund. Not impressed !

Was fooled by the 8.8 rating. This hotel is super outdated. Thermostat didn’t work, hair in beds, room said sleeps 4 but beds are only full size so very small, exhaust fan in bathroom didn’t work, couldn’t open fridge in cabinet due to size, certain tv channels didn’t work. Pool tile work needs redone. Definitely not worth the price, false ratings.

On the up side, staff was friendly, we were given an early check-in, and our room was clean.
Unfortunately, that's where the positives ended. We were told the restaurant was closed till the next day. Our room was hot and we were only able to turn off the heat setting, which did nothing on the top floor on a warm sunny day. The first employee I spoke with told me the A/C was broken and would possibly be fixed tomorrow. She said there were many complaints and she tried to get me a fan, but they were all gone. She offered us a room on the first floor but it was late and we were too tired to move our things. We were able to crack our window about 6-8 inches thankfully, but there was no screen, so we couldn't leave it open all night due to mosquitos. It was even warmer come morning and the beds are saggy and squeaky and uncomfortable, so I hardly slept. I was up at 5:30 ready to grab a cup of coffee and leave. I went downstairs to find that they even charged for COFFEE and pastries. I told the front desk person that we had no A/C all night and our room was unbearably hot. He said the A/C was turned off seasonally hotel wide. I said they need to inform people of this in advance. This is a major deal breaker for me and I never would've stayed had I known.
