Hotel Morvedra NOU

Long review, but detailed...     When we arrived, we were very well received by the receptionist. Unfortunately, we do not remember his name and that was the only positive part of our short but stressful stay.   When we got to the room the incidents began, the first thing we noticed was a strong smell and sensation of humidity, which we let pass, since they had placed an air freshener right at the A/C outlet, something strange, but as mentioned we let it pass. When using the shelves for our clothes, we realized that the cleaning was not up to what we expect for the price paid, since we found a used vaper from the previous guest, shelves were dirty and also the floor, something you don’t expect but still we didn’t say anything. When we wanted to use our private pool we noticed that water was very dirty, so we went to the reception to inform it (on the way we saw that other pools in other rooms were clean and others dirty). Unfortunately, when we spoke with reception, the Manager (Not Spanish) approached and told us that it was because of the dirt in the environment and that it had surely been cleaned days ago and that was why; he said they were going to empty the pool and fill it up again (in an effort to make us feel guilty about wasting water). Again we let it go and we couldn't use the pool until almost night, which is not fair, but again we did not say anything and tried to understand that some things can happen. At this point I did not understand how they couldn't guarantee quality to a guest arriving at the hotel paying more than 500€ per night for 2 people and also not paying attention to these details, but as we do not usually complaint, we still thought that we could manage this and try to enjoy.   When we got into bed, I noticed that the pillow was wet and I thought it was because of the humidity, but it was really wet and I don't know if water entered the room because of the rain the day before or the same morning, again we said nothing, because we understand that there are details that can happen; However, for a hotel with this price, it shouldn't. I just put the pillow aside on the floor and took a nap.   When we arrived for dinner, we wanted to have dinner in the area where the trees were, but unfortunately there was a family with children running and screaming everywhere and occupying that area (no other hotel guest dined in that area that night), several guests (including us) commented on it, but nothing was done. In an exchange with emails later, after we had left the hotel, they confirmed that it is a common practice to accept children for restaurant meals, which is false advertising, as this hotel sell themselves as an ADULTS ONLY hotel.   The next day we woke up around 9am to take a shower, because we wanted to have breakfast and go out to see Menorca. In the middle of the shower, the water stopped coming out of the shower, we contacted reception and they told us that there was no water in the entire hotel, so that was when we

Everything about this hotel was perfect - beautiful rooms and gardens; secluded location but close to great beaches and Ciutadella; and incredibly friendly staff who went above and beyond! My girlfriend and I got engaged while we were here and the staff went out of their way to help us and make it special - we can’t thank them enough

Our week at Morvedra Nou was one of our very best holidays ever! The setting of the hotel is beautiful and incredibly peaceful and relaxing, with gorgeous gardens, fabulous views to the sea and over the countryside and the sound of birdsong. All the staff were, without exception, really helpful, courteous and friendly, especially those waiting table at breakfast and in the evening. The food was excellent, with delicious breakfasts (a tempting choice of the freshest ingredients) and beautifully cooked evening meals with fresh fish a speciality. Our room and its private garden and plunge pool was immaculate with a very comfortable bed and plentiful hot water. We especially enjoyed the short stroll through the jasmine scented garden to breakfast and dinner, the gardens beautifully lit in the evening. We were sorry to leave after our wonderful week but look forward to visiting again next year. A huge thankyou to all the staff for a memorable stay.

This hotel appears to have the intention of taking you away from the pressures of everyday life and allowing you to completely relax in rural tranquillity - that is exactly what it does. Much thought has gone into creating a very stylish environment with tasteful decor and beautiful gardens surrounded by uninterrupted countryside; the only sounds are from the plentiful birdlife. The staff were excellent and have mastered that ability to be very professional and competent at their work, but at the same time friendly, relaxed and welcoming. We thoroughly enjoyed eating there in the evening and the breakfasts were almost certainly the best breakfasts that we have ever had in a small hotel - there was a wide choice of fruit, meats, cheeses and pastries, all of the highest quality - the vegetable juices and the yoghurt were outstanding. We were very impressed and look forward to returning.

Serene and elegant grounds and accommodations; gracious and welcoming hosts; really beautiful breakfast spread featuring delectable local specialities, and diverse, excellent menu at the pool bar and restaurant. Really easy to get from from the hotel to some truly gorgeous beaches, and to Ciutadella for a night out. Wish we could have stayed for days and days longer! Thank you to the Morvedra Nou team for the impeccable hospitality, and we hope to have the chance to return.

Cons: very small rooms, if you open your suitcase you can’t turn around, uncomfortable, there is no laundry service on weekends, they spoil things and don’t admit mistakes, they force you to pay for dry cleaning, even when the item is dirty after dry cleaning. St. Barth shorts ruined. costing 220 euros, they said it wasn’t them. There is no customer focus at all. The hotel is in a quiet place, you need to drive from the city along a dark, winding, narrow road, there is nothing around, no shops, restaurants, etc., you are a hostage of the hotel, you have to eat their tasteless, very expensive food. But these are not all the hotel's shortcomings. First of all: if you come to this hotel, don’t expect 5 stars, there aren’t even dental kits in the room, not to mention sewing, shaving and hygiene kits! There is no shower at the pool, no service at the pool, we had to look for waiters, they were nowhere to be found after 17:00. Again, the rooms are uncomfortable, the mirror and sink are the size of a plate, when you wash your face the water is all on the floor! When you take this micro shower, the water is also on the floor in the room. There is no shampoo in the shower, only body gel! The handle to the room is inconvenient, I cut my finger on the key when I opened the door. Be careful, take out the key! We were very dissatisfied and will never come back here again!
