Marriott's Playa Andaluza

From the spacious 3 bed apartment, to the lovely ladies at Breakfast, and the fab Chistina and her team in fitness the holiday was tip top in every way. Cleanest Marriott I've been to too. 2nd visit and will return...no doubt about that......

Stayed here on a special deal which, as we were told, a 45 minutepresentation on the property and how to buy into it. The resort itself is very nice, beach poor. Apartment has everything you will need. Ours was 2 bedroom, 1 ensuite, that had access to the balcony. The other had access to a shared bathroom with the living area. Kitchen well appointed with utility that had washing machine and dryer. A bit dated but acceptable. Grounds looked well maintained. The issue. Dirty sheets in arrival. Restaurant and bar expensive, Aldi within 10 minutes walk. Sales presentation! Not sure what to say on this. Turned out that it was now 1.5 hours. Turned up early, staff chatting and wondering around. Asked when it would start and told just setting up. 25 minutes late it started! I don't stay in the same place twice and they wanted me to buy a week a year in this property until 2052, no confirmed cost of this just 'for example'..... We said no, the colleague got up and said we need to go through a questionnaire before leaving - did not see him again. Waited 5 minutes and got up to leave, stopped to say someone in there way. The questionnaire was why are not buying anything, why are we not interested etc. Offered a discounted return, said no again and this colleague got up and walked off. Beware of these deals.

We have holidayed with Marriott since 2004 after owning in France. But never been to this particular resort. Came for a 4 night break. Really really lovely. Stayed in the Granada building, ground floor apartment, which was a great base as pretty much everything is in this block. Outdoor pool freezing, but indoor lovely and warm with 4 jacuzzis and a gym overlooking this. Bar and restaurant reasonably priced, every Thursday they do a flamenco night which is €33 pp and you get sangria, tapas, 2 choices of paella and dessert including entertainment. Drinks are about €12 per cocktail, however they do happy hour every day 5-6 which includes beer soft drinks wine gin and tonic aperol spritz and the cocktail of the day. Walking distance to Aldi supermarket and restaurants, Italian on side of road by overpass was amazing!!!! Pool bar for lunches totally delicious, recommend club sandwich. Apartments lovely with daily housekeeping. The same usual Marriott standard with classic luxury accommodation. Staff as usual are lovely apart from one standoffish reception person who seemed to think we were thick for asking where parking was in Estepona. Puerto Banus just up the road 10 mins or so, Estepona hardly worth going as bugger all shops there, mainly just bars/ restaurants. Estepona is 25 mins away so save your time. As always impressed with Marriott.

My husband, daughter and I are nearing the end of a wonderful stay at Marriott’s Playa Andaluza. This resort has been an excellent location from which to explore Andalusia travelling to towns such as Benahavís, Ronda, Marbella and Granada. The nearby restaurants have all been excellent and we’ve enjoyed many fine meals. The resort itself has lovely, comfortable 2 bedroom apartments and the housekeeping has been top notch ensuring the units are always clean and tidy. Lovely pool and beach areas to relax. Special mention must be made to Tommasco Cardin, a Guest Service Agent (Concierge). He has truly been one of the best and most helpful individuals we have come across in our travels, ensuring we have had an excellent vacation. Thank you, Tommaso!

3 nights, apartments OK but not worth the money they want from is. Had a compulsory meeting yesterday, should have been 45 mins, it was 90 minutes! Flagged it up. Meeting started almost 25 mins late, wasting more of our holiday time. It wasn't sold efficiently and there were statements that couldn't be realistic or realised. We were asked if a reduced cost trip would be nice and we said no. At that point, he jumped up immediately and meeting finished. Just goes to show that they only want your money and your health and well-being are a very low 2nd. Wouldn't touch this place or their offers with a barge pole. Glad we took a wide berth. I won't say what I really feel as we're staying here currently. Oh forgot dirty sheets.

I came here several times and I have never been disappointed, on the contrary I’m always impressed by the quality of the stay here. The rooms are literally perfect; “flat” would be a better name for how large and spacious they are. It’s perfect especially if you come during the winter in order to use the pools and enjoy the better climate.

Thoroughly enjoyed our 2 week stay at our home resort. The grounds, pools and additional activities continue to be maintained to a high standard. Staff as always excellent and so welcoming and friendly. Furniture in living area looks like it’s due for an upgrade, sofa in living room a bit soft and uneven in places. Looking forward to returning in September.

Just returned from Playa, resort, resort and staff were all the usual high standard to ensure a great vacation. Reception and concierge staff were fantastic, nothing was too much trouble and made the 7days a stress free great break. Can’t wait til I’m back with the whole family at the end of July

Marriott Playa Andaluza is an outstanding resort. The employees are all so customer focused and the concierges Tomasso and Frederika do a wonderful job suggesting places to visit. The views overlooking the sea from your balcony is wonderful. The pools are very nice and the grounds are kept up beautifully.
