Hotel Atascadero dengan Gim

We have been traveling as a family for 5 weeks staying in hotels so we feel hyper aware of what is good and bad in a hotel. This hotel has a lot of good things available like location and the pool and an on site grill to make your own food or a restaurant to order food if you need to. Lovely sundry shop if you need items and free daily paper. The floor staff is wonderful. The breakfast was the least exciting that we have had on our cross country trip but it wasn’t bad. My upsets about the hotel were little things. They are super busy so I guess they don’t have time to check things. We had a lamp with a bulb out, one lamp was just completely broken, our conditioner was completely empty when we arrived and the spacing is not really family friendly. We had this lovely stand up advert on the desk telling us how we would have a pull out trundle bed with our sofa however the sofa we had in our room wasn’t the one on the flyer!? Why even put it in the room?? Now as a hotel chain, if you do not know this already, Springhill Suites is NOT a family friendly hotel in terms of bathrooms. The bathrooms are sliding doors with opaque glass doors!! The shower and toilet area are separate and the toilet is in the middle of the room. The business printers did not work and one of the washing machines was also broken during our 5 night stay. Luckily there were 2 but we did have to take turns which made for a whole day of laundry. We were kicked out the fire pit area one afternoon and when we moved to sit at the comfortable seating area we were told we couldn’t sit there either because they were going to be moving those seats into the fire pit area for an event. This location also allows pets even though they have “strict no pets rule”. One day there were 2 dogs in the breakfast area. One may have been a service Doberman but the other definitely was not. Lastly we were locked out of our room a full hour prior to checkout. We figured that out as we made two trips to take the luggage to the car. Beautiful but will not return. I keep trying to upload the picture of the dog but for some reason it will not let me. It was a little fluffy white dog. Not any kind of official service dog. At least keep it out of the food area!

This older hotel had loads of elegance and charm.  Folks at the front desk were very nice and helpful.  The rooms were very large and well appointed.  All additionally needed amenities were there (refrigerator and safe). The bathroom was the classiest thing I'd ever seen -- marble everywhere and very, very clean!!   We would return there again, absolutely. Also -- It was also very centrally located to the whole wine country area.

Booked one night stay via the Hilton website using 50K points. Kudos to Hilton for not having blackout night, unlike Marriott! Normally stay at the SpringHill Suites by Marriott in Atascadero but wasn't able to make reservations using points. Hilton is definitory a better points program for now! Room is well equipped with everything you might need for an extended stay. Love the glassware, dishwasher, fridge and microwave. Since this hotel is so NEW the rooms are lovely, clear and fresh! Breakfast was BUSY but wow incredible. Better breakfast than most hotels and better breakfast than the SpringHill Suites. Hilton status has no benefits at this hotel. Basically GOLD status us useless!! But that is ok as there is only one style of room. Try avoid rooms facing highway 101. Its noisy. You can clearly hear the cars from the freeway as the hotel is built so close to 101. That was the only negative!! Would definitely stay here again. 100% better breakfast and rooms than Marriott.
