A fantastic afternoon spent eating some of the best seafood Scotland has to offer washed down with some beautiful refreshments. We had a beautiful afternoon with time spent in the summer sun eating and drinking in the Seafood bar & Grill which was created as a pop up on the lawn of Gleneagles. We visit the hotel to stay, also making the short journey once or twice per month for lunch and drinks, we could not recommend this hotel highly enough. 5*

We stayed 2 nights to celebrate my 60th birthday. It’s been on a bucket list and it didn’t disappoint. Fabulous hotel with lovely rooms. Our room didn’t have an exterior grounds view, and better to have that if budget allows! I played one round of golf on the Kings course which was majestic. Surprisingly limited cost benefit on green fee if you are staying at the hotel but hey ho. Had nice meals at the Dormy restaurant one night (reasonably priced) and Strathern on the other. The food and service was excellent. Breakfast awesome. Great pre drinks at the Century bar near reception. A bit steep if you want glasses of fizz but that’s the deal. Overall the experience was top draw. Highly recommend the whole thing especially if you love your golf.

We went to Gleneagles today for afternoon tea it was absolutely amazing the hotel is gorgeous, food and tea fantastic and what great staff they have in all areas of the hotel so attentive the choice of teas available where fantastic we tried four different ones our favorite was the honeybush which we had two pots of

We went here for afternoon tea, wow !!! It was a themed Bettrix Potter afternoon tea. We are going to go back in the future, the experience from arrival to leaving was just superb !! There really should be a higher star rating. We are truly blessed to have such wonderful places in Scotland xx

First class experience all round. We’ve just spent 3 days, 2 nights here and enjoyed every minute. The 4 of us all couldn’t speak highly enough of the trip. My partner and his brother played all 3 courses and were really impressed. My sister-in-law and I tried Axe throwing and clay pigeons shooting. The instructors for both were fantastic but Drew who took us clay pigeon shooting was exceptional! His knowledge, experience and relaxed manner really made it outstanding. We had a fantastic time & we’ll remember it forever. The staff across the hotel really made the stay exceptional. Stacey in the American Bar was the other outstanding member of staff for us. Her enthusiasm, knowledge and friendliness was impressive to all of us. She helped guide us to choose individual cocktails that suited us, they were all unique and delicious. We loved the little arcade of shops and bought a few bits each. The spa was really lovely but a few too many children for our liking. But we enjoyed the adults pool and the outdoor area. The whole atmosphere was relaxed and not stuffy, they catered for everything. We ate in the Birnam restaurant two evenings. The food was lovely but we weren’t blown away. The service was also extremely slow on the first night especially. On the night we were leaving we ate in The Dormy and the food was delicious! We expected The Birnam to be better but we’ll definitely eat at The Dormy again. We can’t wait to come back!

My fiancé and stayed here for the second time over the weekend and once again, we were blown away by the hotel and hospitality. The hotel and grounds are stunning and the level of service provided is exceptional, the attention to detail is second to none. The last time we stayed in the hotel, we had booked a Braid Estate double which was huge and featured a roaring fire (it was November when we visited) and stunning stand alone bath as well as a separate shower. This time we were staying in a country room, with this being the lead in room, we weren’t expecting too much, however again, we were blown away by the room size and amenities. The small touches such as the fresh milk and turn down service are what makes the hotel stand out. We dined in the Birnam and the atmosphere, food and service were perfect. The breakfast in the hotel is phenomenal - there really is something for everyone. The hotel offers an incredible buffet selection, including a variety of sausages, 3 types of bacon, freshly baked scones and pastries, various types of honey, fruit and yogurts in an abundance and even a buffet for children. In addition to this, you can opt for a freshly cooked option from the menu - porridge, kippers, salmon, pancakes, French toast etc. The only slightly disappointing this for us was that the outdoor pool was closed on the day we visited the spa and there seemed to be a problem with the thermal showers - however the showers were promptly fixed when someone pointed this out to the friendly staff. I really would have loved to have had the chance to experience the outdoor Onsen though as it was a rare nice day in Scotland and this would have been the cherry on the cake. On our last visit we did an owl viewing and archery as part of our package and both were enjoyable, so it is worth looking at which activities are on. Would highly recommend Gleneagles to anyone looking to relax and be treated like royalty.

reinvented and refined dishes took me on a journey during my trip the landscape is wonderful. a very large golf course, several tennis courts.... the attentive staff, the quality products made available to us... I came home with stars in my eyes.

Imposing building where one easily gets lost. It took us 10 minutes to get to our room every time. It was large and accommodating. The outside is impeccably kept and a paradise for golf players. Varied choice of activities in amazing surroundings. All the staff is incredibly helpful. The food in the main restaurant was excellent. On the downside, however, the spectacle of those majestic golden Eagles and other birds of prey, with both feet shackled to short chains in small cages 23 1/2 hours a day or more, was an extremely disturbing site and hard to believe, that these animals are expected to spend 20 to 30 years and more, living in a small cage this way, to entertain a small number. This activity should be banned from the site and replaced with another feel good activity.
