As a mom travelling with my two boys, (16 and 13) we had an absolutely fantastic stay at this beautiful villa! From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by our incredible host Xianti (XT), his lovely mother, and the entire family. They were exceptionally kind, helpful, and genuinely caring throughout our entire visit. We stayed in the Triple Family Courtyard Room, which was not only beautifully decorated but also spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Despite our late arrival, we were still able to order a meal from the aunties and wow, the food was outstanding! In fact, we ended up having lunch and dinner there every single day because it was just that delicious. Every meal felt like a lovingly prepared, home-cooked feast. We also had the pleasure of taking part in a tea ceremony, which was a serene and special experience. The tea was exquisite, and it was a lovely way to connect with the culture and surroundings. Another highlight was the recommendation to see Impression Da Hong Pao a next-level show that left us absolutely amazed. What made it even better was that our host arranged the tickets for us and had them delivered to the villa, so thoughtful and convenient! If you’re still hesitating, don’t! We can wholeheartedly recommend this villa. It truly felt like a home away from home in China 💖 and was the perfect base for exploring the breathtaking Wuyishan mountains. Received a pleasant upgrade upon checking in! However as the room was not ready yet, the staff were kind enough to share with me all the tips to visit the various attractions over a nice introduction of their wide selection of tea. After checking in, I noticed that the room was full of basic necessities readily available for your usage and also had a good assortment of snacks which were replenished daily. Special mention to 小燕子 and 小敏 who were very hospitable and took great care of my stay throughout. 💯

來武夷山三天兩晚，選如懿畲家院真的踩對寶！位置絕了，對面就是印象大紅袍劇場，看完演出散步8分鐘就回民宿，不用深夜打車。房間衞生超到位，乾濕分離熱水穩定，每間都配小茶台，入住送自家蘭家窠茶園巖茶。管家提前給我們規劃爬山路線，還幫忙搶九曲竹筏票，印象大紅袍有優惠價，院子有超大露台正對大王峯，傍晚看日落喝茶特別治癒。帶長輩同行，安靜不嘈雜，下次來武夷山還住這裏！

This room is with smoke smell that unable to subside even until night time. We depend on the diffuser in room to bear with it overnight as we are reluctant to pack & change room. Overall, those who cannot bear smoke smell at all, can avoid booking this place. As this premise allow smoking indoor. One thing we are unhappy is the lady in restaurant is annoying, we are having our meal but she came to chase for payment multiple times! This action spoiled our appetite. We will pay, please don't keep coming to ask for payment. Or else pls put up a sign to request guest pay before eat! During breakfast, the table are not tidy up from previous guest. We requested cleaner to clear, the response is to ask us use whichever table is available now! 🙄. Getting table we preferred is our right!

Wonderful stay at this hotel/resort, maybe one of our best stays during our travels in China. Asian culture with western hospitality - amazing! Breakfast 10/10 - Yum! Great for families - the hotel has all the amenities for kids/toddlers. Small hiccups with the spa experience, but the team quickly handled the situation very professionally. Big thanks to Fiona and Ally for their great service and friendly treatment. We will return when we come back to WYS.

Probably one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at. The service was impeccable—from the beginning the hotel staff was very responsive via WeChat, answering all my questions about Wuyishan, arranging train station pickup, booking Impression Dahongpao tickets on our behalf. When we first arrived at the hotel, the staff was extremely welcoming, serving us Rougui tea and patiently going over our travel itinerary for the day. Every request we made was honored. They added an extra bed to a room to accommodate a 3rd guest, prepared a vegetarian meal for a vegetarian in our group, and cooked a warm black sugar coca cola drink to help soothe my dad's throat, who was coughing pretty severely. Overall, I've never experienced better service at a hotel. The facilities themselves are breathtaking. The pond outside, the tea terrace, the interior decoration, the room furnishings... the style is ”traditional modern”, mostly wood and stone but very classy and comfortable. We came during an off-season, so the hotel was serene and peaceful at night. The location is also quite convenient: around 10 minutes by Didi from the main restaurant district and 15 minutes from the South Entrance of the scenic area.

A Boutique hotel, we booked two rooms for our mount wuyi stay and both were beautiful, we had a good night sleep. The details of the place is impeccable, speaks tranquility and zen. Service staffs were courteous and helpful. Breakfast was bento style and it’s chefs best for the day, healthy fresh and delicious the best we had tasted during our fujian holiday. We are foreigners, self touring we got lot of help from the reception eg:to purchase impression dahongpao show and how to get around mount wuyi. Tea banquet was nice too we learned the art of tea making, they sell a variety of tea leaves too! It is also nice because it is low peak season They provide pickup service from the train station but was delayed by 45minutes. We were hungry and tired from the train as we have two children and an elderly with us. Hopefully to mitigate late pick up in the future otherwise the stay was excellent!

This place makes me wish there was an option for six stars. I study Asian art for a living, and I travelled to Jianyang to visit the home of Jian ware, classic tea bowls of the Song dynasty (960 to 1279 CE), distinguished by their black and brown glazes. Over the last few decades, firing Jian ware in the Song tradition has been revived in the area. I chose Nanping Colourful Village Homestay because it was in Jianyang, affordable, and accepted international guests. What I found was a luxury resort with all the warmth and personal attention of a homestay. I asked the front desk about an excavated Song kiln site in a nearby village, and the receptionist brought me the manager, who arranged for someone to take me the next day. My driver was Ms. Huang, an employee of the resort whose job involves buying and selling contemporary pieces. She knew everything about Jian ware! The kiln site isn’t run as a tourist site, so I was only able to view it because Ms. Huang arranged for it to be opened for me. I had told them I was vegetarian, so for lunch they took me to lunch at a vegetarian buffet. Then we visited the town’s Jian ware museum, where they have exhibits on the history of tea and Jian ware, historical pieces, and the work of contemporary Jianyang potters. To my delight, Mr. Gao, the potter-in-residence at the resort, uses a Song-style wood-fired dragon kiln, built right on the grounds! His pieces that range from beautiful but quite affordable to exquisite and appropriately expensive. They include both iridescent silvery oil spot and orange-to-black hare’s fur pieces. I am still thrilled that I was able to purchase wood-fired pieces on my limited budget. For dinner, the resort’s restaurant prepared vegetarian versions of Fujian cuisine for me. The food was all delicious, featuring classic Fujianese mountain ingredients like local bamboo and mushrooms. Then we visited Mr. Gao’s dragon kiln, and later his studio, where he experiments with different local clays and glaze recipes. The rich colours and iridescence of Jian ware are the result of the iron-rich local material fired at high temperature, and the results are as unpredictable as they are beautiful. The next day, they drove me to Mr. Chen’s family tea plantation in the mountains, where they grow famous northern Fujian teas. These fine teas were all wonderful, smooth and rich with a touch of smoke, and sometimes fruity in flavour. We strolled through mountainsides of tea bushes and visited groves of centuries-old tea trees. This is a perfect place for an immersive experience in China that is also very comfortable and convenient. I often find tourist experiences in China claustrophobic due to the press of people, but the resort was spacious and airy, and they took me to places where there was no one else but us and the occasional local going about their business. Everyone was very patient with my limited Chinese language skills. They were also happy to work with translator apps on our phones, so if you don’t speak any Chinese, you will be fine. This would be a great place to come as a family. There are gardens and rides for kids right next to the resort. You can learn how to whip Song-style tea and carve your name into the base of your own Jian ware cup. Not far away is a historical theme park with a collection of real architecture from the Ming (1368 to 1644 CE) and Qing (1636 to 1912 CE) dynasties. The employees wear period dress and there are performances and activities. Nearby there are hiking trails, historical sites, and lovely villages to visit. It’s also very close to Wuyi Mountain National Park, so it would be a perfect place to stay if the mountains are your destination. If you ask, they could arrange for you to visit famous sites or take you to breathtaking places that only locals know, whatever you want. They can also arrange transport to and from the train station or airport.

Lovely resort very out in the green, whilst close to Wuyigong palace, all peaks (Tianyoufeng, Dawangfeng, Shuilian Cave) as well as Duiia Qu for food. You can basically walk everywhere if you have enough time. The room was spacious and clean, the service was excellent, there is also a small travel agency that can take you for tea tasting and seeing how they grow and produce tea in Wuyishan. Breakfast was good, rather Chinese though. Receptionists were lovely and helpful, as well as room service. We had a great stay and would highly recommend.

酒店總體上來説還是不錯的，但是設施有些陳舊了。洗澡間的推拉式玻璃門，我們倆人無論如何也拉不動，衹能將就着用了。酒店樓頂上的不知什麼設備，噪音很大。 服務人員的服務態度都很好，尤其是保安師傅，指揮着我慢慢停車，不厭其煩。謝謝啦！
