There are no words to describe this place. If you have some knowledge about China and agree that people here can be incredibly beautiful - this will still blow your mind. Apart from the house having a beautiful architecture - a mix of Chinese and Japanese (where the owner lived for 14 years) style, they will impress you with their kindness. We were chauffeured everywhere, invited for dinner, got tickets to the park, recommendations and were allowed to borrow their scooter. Just mindblowing. Es gibt keine Worte, um diesen Ort zu beschreiben. Selbst wenn man China kennt und zustimmt, dass die Menschen hier unglaublich schön sein können – das hier wird einen trotzdem umhauen. Abgesehen davon, dass das Haus eine wunderschöne Architektur hat – eine Mischung aus chinesischem und japanischem Stil (der Besitzer lebte 14 Jahre in Japan) – beeindruckt einen vor allem ihre Herzlichkeit. Wir wurden überall hingefahren, zum Abendessen eingeladen, bekamen Eintrittskarten für den Park, Empfehlungen und durften ihren Roller ausleihen. Einfach überwältigend.

This is a hidden gem. This place is run like a homestay. If you’re into eco tourism this will fit. It’s newish. the room we had was nice. This place is run by husband and wife team and a few hired hands. It’s like someone’s home with 10 rooms to rent. The ‘hotel’ is also a tea processing factory. The owner treat us to many rounds of tea. The surrounding is very nice. A stream flow by. A tea plantation is in view from our balcony. The food is home cooked, and tasty. I think they try very hard to be hospitable but there is a big communication challenge. Non Chinese speaking guests will be lost. I can cope with some difficulties. Its location is far from local hot spots. Interesting experience nevertheless. The surrounding is all nature. You can walk into a tea plantation or walk along the stream. Very very nice!

This room is with smoke smell that unable to subside even until night time. We depend on the diffuser in room to bear with it overnight as we are reluctant to pack & change room. Overall, those who cannot bear smoke smell at all, can avoid booking this place. As this premise allow smoking indoor. One thing we are unhappy is the lady in restaurant is annoying, we are having our meal but she came to chase for payment multiple times! This action spoiled our appetite. We will pay, please don't keep coming to ask for payment. Or else pls put up a sign to request guest pay before eat! During breakfast, the table are not tidy up from previous guest. We requested cleaner to clear, the response is to ask us use whichever table is available now! 🙄. Getting table we preferred is our right!

A Boutique hotel, we booked two rooms for our mount wuyi stay and both were beautiful, we had a good night sleep. The details of the place is impeccable, speaks tranquility and zen. Service staffs were courteous and helpful. Breakfast was bento style and it’s chefs best for the day, healthy fresh and delicious the best we had tasted during our fujian holiday. We are foreigners, self touring we got lot of help from the reception eg:to purchase impression dahongpao show and how to get around mount wuyi. Tea banquet was nice too we learned the art of tea making, they sell a variety of tea leaves too! It is also nice because it is low peak season They provide pickup service from the train station but was delayed by 45minutes. We were hungry and tired from the train as we have two children and an elderly with us. Hopefully to mitigate late pick up in the future otherwise the stay was excellent!

This place makes me wish there was an option for six stars. I study Asian art for a living, and I travelled to Jianyang to visit the home of Jian ware, classic tea bowls of the Song dynasty (960 to 1279 CE), distinguished by their black and brown glazes. Over the last few decades, firing Jian ware in the Song tradition has been revived in the area. I chose Nanping Colourful Village Homestay because it was in Jianyang, affordable, and accepted international guests. What I found was a luxury resort with all the warmth and personal attention of a homestay. I asked the front desk about an excavated Song kiln site in a nearby village, and the receptionist brought me the manager, who arranged for someone to take me the next day. My driver was Ms. Huang, an employee of the resort whose job involves buying and selling contemporary pieces. She knew everything about Jian ware! The kiln site isn’t run as a tourist site, so I was only able to view it because Ms. Huang arranged for it to be opened for me. I had told them I was vegetarian, so for lunch they took me to lunch at a vegetarian buffet. Then we visited the town’s Jian ware museum, where they have exhibits on the history of tea and Jian ware, historical pieces, and the work of contemporary Jianyang potters. To my delight, Mr. Gao, the potter-in-residence at the resort, uses a Song-style wood-fired dragon kiln, built right on the grounds! His pieces that range from beautiful but quite affordable to exquisite and appropriately expensive. They include both iridescent silvery oil spot and orange-to-black hare’s fur pieces. I am still thrilled that I was able to purchase wood-fired pieces on my limited budget. For dinner, the resort’s restaurant prepared vegetarian versions of Fujian cuisine for me. The food was all delicious, featuring classic Fujianese mountain ingredients like local bamboo and mushrooms. Then we visited Mr. Gao’s dragon kiln, and later his studio, where he experiments with different local clays and glaze recipes. The rich colours and iridescence of Jian ware are the result of the iron-rich local material fired at high temperature, and the results are as unpredictable as they are beautiful. The next day, they drove me to Mr. Chen’s family tea plantation in the mountains, where they grow famous northern Fujian teas. These fine teas were all wonderful, smooth and rich with a touch of smoke, and sometimes fruity in flavour. We strolled through mountainsides of tea bushes and visited groves of centuries-old tea trees. This is a perfect place for an immersive experience in China that is also very comfortable and convenient. I often find tourist experiences in China claustrophobic due to the press of people, but the resort was spacious and airy, and they took me to places where there was no one else but us and the occasional local going about their business. Everyone was very patient with my limited Chinese language skills. They were also happy to work with translator apps on our phones, so if you don’t speak any Chinese, you will be fine. This would be a great place to come as a family. There are gardens and rides for kids right next to the resort. You can learn how to whip Song-style tea and carve your name into the base of your own Jian ware cup. Not far away is a historical theme park with a collection of real architecture from the Ming (1368 to 1644 CE) and Qing (1636 to 1912 CE) dynasties. The employees wear period dress and there are performances and activities. Nearby there are hiking trails, historical sites, and lovely villages to visit. It’s also very close to Wuyi Mountain National Park, so it would be a perfect place to stay if the mountains are your destination. If you ask, they could arrange for you to visit famous sites or take you to breathtaking places that only locals know, whatever you want. They can also arrange transport to and from the train station or airport.

來武夷山遊玩選這家酒店太合適了，各項設施都讓人驚喜。客房裝修簡約大氣，空間寬敞，床品柔軟舒適，窗邊書桌、休閑榻一應俱全，拉開窗簾就能遠眺山林景色，視野絕佳。獨立洗漱區乾淨通透，洗漱用品、熱水壺配套齊全，細節打理得很到位。酒店還配備自助洗衣房，兩台洗衣機使用方便，爬山弄臟的衣物隨時清洗，出行省心不少。出門距離九曲溪景區很近，出門就能看到層疊青山與溪流瀑布，山水風光盡收眼底，設施嶄新完善，衞生乾淨，旅居體驗拉滿，下次來武夷山還會選擇入住！

Fantastic hotel. Near to airport. Located a 7yuan taxi ride away frim the town centre but well worth it if you are looking for a nice, secluded, away from city feel. Very nice. A river flows in front and rear of the hotel, nice and quiet. A quaint village is located which you can take a stroll in if you wanna see village life. Very nice picturesque area with an old bridge, great for sunrise pics. Food is good. Staff very friendly. Willing to recommend restaurants to eat in. Also recommended to take the bamboo raft ride down the 9 bend stream at wuyi shan nature park. Also recommended the Impressions Dahongbao live show, not to be missed. Hotel General Manager, Angie, helped us a lot. As we barely speak Mandarin, she speaks English and helped us make bookings, and speak to the locals via phone when we encountered problems communicating. She recommended places that we would not have thought of and even suggested hotels in Xiamen for our next stop in our itinerary, and we chose the Holiday Inn next to the airport. Also suggested.places in other provinces we should go in our next trip to China.

Lovely resort very out in the green, whilst close to Wuyigong palace, all peaks (Tianyoufeng, Dawangfeng, Shuilian Cave) as well as Duiia Qu for food. You can basically walk everywhere if you have enough time. The room was spacious and clean, the service was excellent, there is also a small travel agency that can take you for tea tasting and seeing how they grow and produce tea in Wuyishan. Breakfast was good, rather Chinese though. Receptionists were lovely and helpful, as well as room service. We had a great stay and would highly recommend.

The general manager gave us a very warm welcome in excellent English and upgraded our room size to have a more comfortable stay. The restaurant manager, Wang Fang, was also exceptionally welcoming. She helped us with getting everything that we needed and took great care of us during our meals. The cook prepared excellent fresh noodles and suggested what ingredients we should try. The people that are working in this hotel were the highlight of our stay. Thank you for the great experience.

Location is good just next to the main shopping street. On check in Ms Lim gave us an upgrade. Actually I would have given a good rating if not for the bad experience we had tge bect day. When we,approach the staff for advice to enter the scenic site. She called in a lady who she said is working for the hotel. She will charge a fee of rmb300 for taking to the various site. Later in scenic site, we realise that we can get free transport provided by the Wuyishan scenic site. We can just take a Didi taxi to the entrance.
