"We were on our honeymoon & the staff at Skaline decorated the room with ribbons and sweet messages! Really cute! All the staff were super friendly and sweet too. We found the bed too soft & our backs were aching & the staff helped to flip the mattress. We had a few early mornings & could not make it to breakfast and they gave us pre packed sandwiches fruits and a drink the night before! Room was clean, staff were great, a truly enjoyable stay!"

"Clean room with very nice bedding. Great location—about 10 minutes walk from the airport shuttle and right next to the old town. Unfortunately the check in process wasn’t easy. Nobody was there when we arrived at about 3pm. There was a phone number and an email address on the door but without a local SIM card we couldn’t get in touch with the host. Finally after we got a local sim and called the host they let us in. Also the description of the amenities is not quite correct. We stayed in room number 5 and it had no desk, kettle or bottles of water unlike advertised in the listing."

"It has everything you need in an apartment. Apartment is well kept and clean. Clean towel and toiletries are provided. Apartment is difficult to locate. Make sure you ask for detailed directions from the hostel. Hostel does not provide 24hrs reception and keys are kept outside the gate with detailed instructions to get them.
Location is just a few minutes walk to the Palace, promenade, restaurants and cafes and the inter city bus terminal. A supermarket is located around the corner. Overall a very satisfactory stay."

SSeat 2AThis is an intimate 5-room establishment situated amidst the alleys of the Old Town, hence cars cannot drop passengers at the doorstep. Easy enough to catch a shuttle bus for EUR 8 from the airport to the bus station at the port, from which a Makarun staff will meet you and assist you with your luggage to the hotel, a 10-minute walk away.
Breakfast is a la carte, as is to be expected for such a small establishment, comprising 3 courses - pastry/toast, eggs of your choice with cold cuts, and a dessert, complemented by tea coffee and/or juice. Food was more than adequate in terms of quantity and quality.
My room was comfortable enough, though 2 issues were noticeable:
* Instead of a flat cotton bed sheet, there was a fitted sheet made of what seemed like jersey, and looked more like a mattress protector.This was pilled and coarse, in contrast to the far smoother cotton quilt cover. When I brought this to the attention of the staff they explained that this is standard for the hotel. Whilst it did not affect the quality of my sleep, the coarseness of the sheet wasn't entirely pleasant
* In the bathroom, the shower was mounted at waist height, hence one either had to hold the shower in one hand, or, if there was a need to use both hands to wash, then one would have to crouch under the shower while it was in its holder. Not particularly convenient.
Overall a comfortable stay in a convenient location, enhanced by the friendly and solicitous Ivan and Mario.

FFrancisI really enjoy staying here. The location is perfect for me. As a big beach person, the hotel is close to Bacvice Beach, it’s like a 8-minute walk. And it’s like 13-minute walk to Diocletian's Palace and the pier for my boat trip. The owner also recommended some good restaurants for us to explore and asked us constantly if we need suggestions to do in Split. They are really helpful!! The room is also really clean and I love the fact that many towels are provided in the room. Also, when I had told the owner we would check out at 10am the day before check out, my friend suddenly had a diarrhea and puked in the morning, the owner was so nice that allowed us to check out at 11am instead!

HHeather_MaeI had a fantastic stay! The property was super easy to find using Google Maps, and the receptionist was kind and very helpful right from the start. My room was spacious, clean, and looked exactly like the photos — no surprises. Bonus: the TV has Netflix! The area around the hotel is peaceful and quiet. I could occasionally hear other guests closing their doors, but otherwise it was very calm. It’s about a 12–15 minute walk to the Old Town, which made it easy to explore while still being able to come back to a quiet, relaxing space. I’d definitely recommend this hotel and would happily stay here again!

PPengguna TetamuWe were so happy to stay in this lovely apartment. It was beautifully decorated and had such a charming atmosphere.
Although it's located a little uphill from the Old Town, the location was excellent. The shower room was spotless, and the apartment was equipped with air conditioning, so we were able to sleep comfortably at night.
On the day of our arrival, we ended up checking in a little later than planned because our flight was delayed. We let the host know, and they replied very quickly, which gave us great peace of mind.
If we ever visit Split again, we will definitely stay here again.

PPengguna TetamuMarko could not have been more helpful. He picked me up from the airport at a late hour for less than a taxi, was very knowledgeable, friendly and professional. He helped me with everything I needed to have a comfortable stay. I only wish I could have stayed longer, but I am going back to Split later this week and have booked with him already. The location is a stone's throw from the center of town and it is very quiet and peaceful. I loved the shampoo/body cleanser they have in the shower, it made my hair very shiny and bouncy! Plus the price cannot be beat. Highly recommend and, as I said, I've booked another stay already.

MMark ElshoutExcellent location right in the centre of great restaurants and the tourism hotspots. The room and bathtub are great. Good wifi and television box for plenty of viewing options. Rooftop garden/outdoor area is amazing at sunset (see attached photos). A couple of things to prepare yourself for which are out of the control of the hotel owners: there are 90 steps to the floor where the rooms are so would not recommend if you are physically challenged, and the restaurants in the square do have music till quite late which is audible in the rooms so light sleepers may like to try ear plugs. Sound did not bother us and the walk up the stairs was good for our health! The whole of the city has bell ringing at various times during the day (7am, Midday, 8pm) No need to set an alarm to wake up in the morning!

PPengguna TetamuPro - very close to the Golden Gate and is easy to find. Check in is straightforward. The room is on the first floor above ground so it wasn't the most difficult thing to lift our luggages up.
Con - (1) the actual room looks nothing like the pictures online. The online pictures (taken with wide lens mode) show the room to be much larger and brighter, whereas the room is in fact very small and relatively poorly lit. For one, the bed is literally two footsteps away from the door, and we were struggling to find space to open our luggages.
(2) One of the beds in the room is in fact a sofa bed, but the property did not declare this when we booked. We spent a lot of time trying to book places which do not use sofa beds but actual beds, and so we can't help but feel that we were misled and misrepresented to.
(3) There is a bit of noise. The property is right next to the road and near a pub with some rowdy youths at times.
(4) Facilities are minimal. There is only one chair, and the table is very small. Everything else is basic. Nothing luxurious about it despite its name and the photos.
(5) There is no lift at the property.
We would not have chosen this property if we had a second chance.
