"Location was good as not far from the main train and bus station. Good communication beforehand from the manager asking me when I would be arriving and then providing details of the apartment and that it would be open with the key inside, so all worked well there. For a self catering style apartment no cooking facilities not a problem just thought there might be some, fridge, crockery and kettle in the room which were all good. Plenty of towels and bedding left for my stay. One thing was there was no communication about how to check out."

"I loved this hotel very much! The room was clean and new. It was situated at the perfect location which enjoys the best view of Split while you can reach the old town/castle within 15min by walking along the beautiful ocean side. I was really amazed by their breakfast. The hotel service was very good too. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. I was granted a late check-out at 1pm upon request :) Highly recommend this hotel to visitors of Split!"

"It has everything you need in an apartment. Apartment is well kept and clean. Clean towel and toiletries are provided. Apartment is difficult to locate. Make sure you ask for detailed directions from the hostel. Hostel does not provide 24hrs reception and keys are kept outside the gate with detailed instructions to get them. Location is just a few minutes walk to the Palace, promenade, restaurants and cafes and the inter city bus terminal. A supermarket is located around the corner. Overall a very satisfactory stay."

"The hotel is in an incredible location, at an incredible price. The room and building were very clean with great facilities, though some of the room furniture, like the desk chair, could use a bit of a refurbishment. This however for most travelers will be no issue as you will want to be out and about exploring the city and using the room as just a home base. I will absolutely come and stay again, and thoroughly enjoyed my time in Split and my stay at Slavija. It can be a bit hard to find to those new to the winding streets, but the location is perfect for an unforgettable trip. Thanks to the staff at the Slavija for an incredible stay!"

SSeat 2AThis is an intimate 5-room establishment situated amidst the alleys of the Old Town, hence cars cannot drop passengers at the doorstep. Easy enough to catch a shuttle bus for EUR 8 from the airport to the bus station at the port, from which a Makarun staff will meet you and assist you with your luggage to the hotel, a 10-minute walk away. Breakfast is a la carte, as is to be expected for such a small establishment, comprising 3 courses - pastry/toast, eggs of your choice with cold cuts, and a dessert, complemented by tea coffee and/or juice. Food was more than adequate in terms of quantity and quality. My room was comfortable enough, though 2 issues were noticeable: * Instead of a flat cotton bed sheet, there was a fitted sheet made of what seemed like jersey, and looked more like a mattress protector.This was pilled and coarse, in contrast to the far smoother cotton quilt cover. When I brought this to the attention of the staff they explained that this is standard for the hotel. Whilst it did not affect the quality of my sleep, the coarseness of the sheet wasn't entirely pleasant * In the bathroom, the shower was mounted at waist height, hence one either had to hold the shower in one hand, or, if there was a need to use both hands to wash, then one would have to crouch under the shower while it was in its holder. Not particularly convenient. Overall a comfortable stay in a convenient location, enhanced by the friendly and solicitous Ivan and Mario.

LLC678Good location in the palace area, but it could be very confused because the hotel has different annex which is couple minutes walk apart. And it could be difficult to find the location of the annex, for the one I stay in named Villa Donbric couldn’t be find in Google map. Besides, since we have couple of large luggages, we look for hotel with elevator but the annex I stayed didn’t facilitated one. (I am not sure the other annex has one or not) The room is smaller than I expected, it’s a bit messy when we open up two luggage together. Other than that, it’s a cozy place to stay with helpful staff. The breakfast is served and good, with different options of eggs. I suggest extra attention is better when booking the hotel about the location and concern with luggages. Or I will suggest booking their optional pick up service.

Normally I spend considerable time going through reviews etc, but with the Azur Palace (hotel?) it was a case of needs must. Unfortunately although we had booked a deluxe double in our opinion it didn’t match similar 4 star hotel deluxe rooms. I mentioned this to reception but they weren’t really interested. Appreciate we were virtually in the centre of split, with space at a premium, but the view of a small alley with graffiti an empty minibar, not even plugged in, an irritating dim light, I think from the a/c that ensured the room wasn’t completely dark. After trying to close it down without success I went to reception, which had a note with a phone number to call. I gave up went back to the room and tried throwing a towel over it. Also no bar, although there are a few within couple of minutes. Overall disappointing.

PPengguna TetamuI extended my stay with 2 more nights because the location of the hotel is perfect for my group. The common spaces are spacious and so are the rooms. But we got a room right next to the lift and the room had a door with the room next door. Because of that, the noise from the neighbors during the last night was pretty disturbing! And again, the breakfast is somehow disappointing for an hotel from that level. We stayed in a smaller 4 star hotel at the beginning of our stay in Split and the breakfast was much nicer and so was the cappuccino.

PPikachuuuuuuThe room does not have a sea view. This is not like a hotel, more like a villa, the security of it is not very high, as it has 2 entrances. The entrance from the pool, anyone can access it without a problem. The swimming pool was quite dirty, it has a lot of bugs floating, and also it has not been regularly cleaned by the staff. It has a lot of restaurants nearby, and the quality and the price are better than those tourist meals in the old town. The lift was broken on the first day, second day they informed us it is fixed. But it still has a little bit sudden sinking issue. I guess Croatia does not have regulation of fix term lift checking, as it does not have any certificate in the lift inside/outside. If the hotel showed 3 stars and the price is lower. I would rate The right side of the balcony has a big tennis field on the 2nd-floor level, it is very close, and it was quite annoying that people can look over easily. The suite does not worth 4 stars. The rug is super old, it has some stains on it. The Front door lock is looking new, it is safe, but some electricity installation was not installed properly, it looks like you can pull them out easily. The Electric Safety box is not working with the password, the hotel left a key in there for use. Breakfast arrangement is well managed for guests with early tour, they could arrange breakfast box including 1 fruit, 3 breads, and 1 yogurt at 06am to 07am.

PPengguna TetamuPro - very close to the Golden Gate and is easy to find. Check in is straightforward. The room is on the first floor above ground so it wasn't the most difficult thing to lift our luggages up. Con - (1) the actual room looks nothing like the pictures online. The online pictures (taken with wide lens mode) show the room to be much larger and brighter, whereas the room is in fact very small and relatively poorly lit. For one, the bed is literally two footsteps away from the door, and we were struggling to find space to open our luggages. (2) One of the beds in the room is in fact a sofa bed, but the property did not declare this when we booked. We spent a lot of time trying to book places which do not use sofa beds but actual beds, and so we can't help but feel that we were misled and misrepresented to. (3) There is a bit of noise. The property is right next to the road and near a pub with some rowdy youths at times. (4) Facilities are minimal. There is only one chair, and the table is very small. Everything else is basic. AAobfoodieGreat location, view was amazing and room was clean and nice furniture ! -Staff was very absent and you need a key to get in the hotel and in room. we forgot our key in our room and realised after dinner around 11pm and even though staff should be in hotel until 3am : no one was there . We had to contact by phone only but being Canadian we didn’t have a working phone . We almost slept outside. . We got help from neighbour restaurant. - staff supposed to start again at 7 am ; we left at 8 without checking out as again there was no one . - my daughter got her EarPods stolen in our room we could locate them with the Apple app and could see exactly where they were . Again no staff at all in hotel to tell them cleaning person stole. (We are SURE 100% they were stolen as they didn’t leave the room we never brought electronics with us anywhere and the location they were at was 7km away from hotel where we had never been. - they offer steaming service, I wanted to use it but they told my it took 1 week to fet my clothing back .. we were there for 4 days. Staff offered to bring a steamer to my room so I could do it myself . They never brought it… -there was a beautiful terrace on the 4th floor but we only found out about it on our last night . - we wanted to go to a beach and the staff said it was a 45 min walk and that’s only way to go. We walked . Finally when we got there .. we could have takes a trolley for 3euro …. We took it to come back. -

NNikhilThe hotel is basically located on the 3rd floor of a semi functional mall. The location is great and at walking distance from all major attractions on the beach line of Split. Eateries, bakeries, places to shop are all at walking distance. The location is also a short walk from the major bus station where you can get buses for the airport. The triple room was huge and we'll maintained. The bed was comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. Overall a great experience. The variety and quality of the vanity in the bathroom needs to be improved in my suggestion.
