I spent one weekend night here. My GPS took me to the stores in front of the hotel. I was in a Williams and Sonoma parking lot so if that happens to you, just know you need to follow the road next to the parking garage to behind the Williams and Sonoma and you'll find the hotel. Not the hotel's fault, I'm just mentioning it in case it happens to you too. The two gentlemen at the front desk for check in were both very nice. I went to my room and found it to be clean and very spacious. It was very dark though and the whole inside of the room and hotel just seems old. The room was pretty hot when I got in there but it was the hottest weekend of the year and I figured had just been hotter because housekeeping turned the temperature up like a lot do after somebody checks out. At check in, I had asked about a restaurant but they said that theirs closed during Covid and never reopened. They did give me a sheet with a bunch of local recommendations for other restaurants. I picked one of those and when I went back to the lobby to go eat, I overheard workers talking about the broken AC. So the reason my room was hot is because the whole hotel's AC had gone out. This just happens, I get it. I'll say that the hotel had somebody out there in just a couple hours to have it fixed and my room was getting cool by the time I was ready to go to bed which was good. Unfortunately, I had to leave at 0745 on Saturday morning and their breakfast doesn't start until 0800 on the weekends. It's earlier on a weekday. I wish this policy would be changed. The price was reasonable and the location was pretty convenient for what I was in town for. I'm not sure I would stay here again though if I ever end up staying in Baltimore again.

Find our hotel in Towson, two miles from SECU Arena and the Hampton National Historical Site. Towson University and the Towson Town Center shopping mall are both close by. There are restaurants, a cinema, and parks all within easy reach. Enjoy our indoor pool and fitness center. Breakfast is on us.

Easy stay very complimentary it’s services very friendly staff the amenities were top notch and it was definitely worth the amount it cost I definitely look forward to staying again and would suggest this location to anyone who wants to have a relaxing evening

Chose the hotel for its proximity to JHU. First the good stuff: Staff was uniformly helpful and customer oriented, front desk personnel welcoming and personable. Warm cookies and bottled water a nice touch. Room was generally clean and housekeeping staff wanted to do job well. Responsive staff member came to repair a non-functioning thermostat (needed battery) and noted that we had blocked the TV box and couldn't change channels. Good people all-around. The restaurant was apparently open but one couldn't tell. It was in a corner of the lobby with a few hangers-on at the bar. No coffee or tea available anywhere in the hotel save the machine in one's room - no sugar, no cream - nada. Had to go to One World Cafe about a half block away to get coffee. Hotels that charge half the room rate typically have coffee/tea, etc. in the lobby. I define value as the relationship between the entirety of the experience vs. the price paid for same. Based on this definition the value was substandard. Absent the sweet and attentive personnel we encountered, my star (*) award would be downgraded. Doubletree is a marquis name and this location didn't rise to the standard expected recalling other stays at Doubletree properties. Unfortunately, not recommended.

We're just a couple of minutes from Towson University, with shops, restaurants, and a cinema all close by. The SECU Arena is under two miles away and the Hampton National Historical Site is 10 minutes from us. Enjoy our heated indoor pool, fitness center and a free hot breakfast.

I called first to ask if we could have 2 rooms next to or close to each other. She assured me that would happen. So I made a reservation on June 9th for 2 double rooms, for the night of June 24th, 15 days later. We got there between 3:30 & 4:00. We were told the rooms weren’t next to each other, only one room was ready & the rooms were on different floors. The lady who checked us in went to make sure the room on the first floor (#112) was ready. We found this very odd as check out time is 11 & check in time is 3:00. She came back out from the hallway to the rooms, with another woman, who was protesting the price of water. The clerk told her “the price of everything is going up.” She gave us a key, & we went to get our things from the car. Our group of 4 fought our way to the lobby with our belongings, because there were refugees blocking the main entrance. We put everything in the first room, avoiding the trash strewn all over the hallway & we smelled bacon throughout the hallway. Multiple problems with this room include: the light in the bathroom didn’t work, there was a bag of chicken bones spilled behind the door of the room, there was trash behind the nightstand, no room phone, no microwave, no trash can, the tv didn’t work, the toilet seat wasn’t attached to the toilet, & the biggest thing was the smoke detector was not on the ceiling only BARE wires hanging! Staff came to clean up & fix the bathroom light. We left for dinner & when we came back 2 hours later, the old light fixture for the bathroom was in the entryway of the room along with the cover for the light & the light STILL didn’t work! That pretty much cancelled any sense of privacy as the bathroom door had to be opened while in use in order to see anything. Obviously, they couldn’t use the shower & were naturally reluctant to do so, because of the poor condition of the hotel & room in general. Children were constantly running up & down the hallways, screaming & banging on & into the room door, until well past midnight. Later, feces were discovered on the bedsheets. Just after midnight, there was a screaming match between 2 women in the hallway of the first floor, directly outside of room 112. It went on for hours. No room phone, so couldn’t call the front desk to report it, though how they couldn’t hear it from the front desk, is a mystery to me. Of course, no one in their right mind would have gone out to the hallway & make their way to the front desk personally, not knowing how serious the hallway fight was. When we were able to get into the 2nd room (#204) it also had a disabled (wires hanging) smoke detector, & the shower, once turned on, had mold coming out of it in clumps, no microwave & no refrigerator, the only accessible working electrical outlets were on the lamps, none in the bathroom, the phone was on the bottom shelf of the nightstand also disabled, we didn’t attempt turning the tv on with the electrical issues in the room, cigarette burns on the sheets. Ah, Baltimore, a city of rich history and eclectic charm. My wife and I recently had the pleasure of a stay at the Hotel Ulysses, a luxurious retreat nestled in the heart of this vibrant city. True to the reputation of the New York-based design firm, Ash, the Ulysses is nothing short of an architectural marvel. The first thing that catches your eye? The hotel's impeccable aesthetic. It's a masterful blend of old-world charm and modern design, encapsulating the very essence of Baltimore's diverse character. While the rooms might have been a tad on the cozier side, they more than made up for it with their plush comfort and attention to detail. The Ulysses truly exemplifies the notion that beauty lies in the details, and the meticulousness with which they've curated every aspect of the guest experience speaks volumes. The 19th-century charm of the Mount Vernon neighborhood is beautifully echoed within the Ulysses. The delicate stained-glass skylight, the ornate crown molding, and the preserved brass postal box serve as a testament to the building's rich history. But it's not all vintage here. Speaking of Blooms, what an experience! The mirrored ceiling, the crimson banquettes, and the purple stools set the stage for a night to remember. In a nutshell? The Hotel Ulysses is a triumph, an ode to Baltimore's multifaceted spirit. Whether you're here for the history, the design, or the sheer experience, the Ulysses promises and delivers.
