Flying L Ranch Resort & Golf Course

This is our second annual trip and it was even better this time. Buck was so accommodating and entertaining each night around the camp fire singing as well as taking us on an awesome wagon ride to watch the horses run and feed the deer. The water park is so much fun and we thoroughly enjoyed the pool. Great service. Great room. We will allll be back!

We stayed in a log cabin and had the best night! Cabin is fully airconned and very clean with great amenities. The location is perfect. Approx 2 miles to all the food and shops. Such lovely friendly staff on reception too.

We were booked into an Executive Villa for 3 nights. Upon arrival we were allocated a room which could only be described as dark , dingy and tired. We also seemed to be the only room without outside seating. Going back to reception we were efficiently handled by the team who took us to a Historic Villa (a downgrade on what we had paid for but) which did have outside seating and wasn’t quite as dark and didn’t have the distinctive musty smell of the previous one. In honesty we should have just departed and in fact after one night we did decide to leave even though we had paid for 3 nights at over $200 per night. Room was tired, bed uncomfortable and AC was old and loud which we had to turn off. Our outside seating area still had cigarette butts from the previous occupier. We were reluctant to sit on the sofa. As for the facilities, the restaurant / bar closes at lunchtime on Sunday and doesn’t open till Wednesday. The golf course is being reseeded and is closed (tbf we did know this in advance) and the club house is under construction. The pool was full of dead bugs. We couldn’t play the mini golf as the course was strewn with leaves and debris. In reality there really aren’t any facilities. I give it one star because the reception staff were so nice and helpful but I can’t see how on earth this “resort “ is classed 3 star. The cost is absolutely sky high for the quality of accommodation. We were happy to leave. I would hope/expect that someone from management reaches out to us to discuss in further detail if required

We stayed in a "historic villa," (think really old, worn room) during a bike rally. We knew by the photos what it would look like but what we didn't anticipate is someone having the extremely poor judgement to paint the interior with a noxious (enamel?) paint near our arrival time. The smell was overwhelming when we opened the door, but we were certain that there would be no alternative anywhere in town as hotels were fully booked due to the bike rally so we elected to try and air out the room in hopes that it would dissipate overnight. Unfortunately, we were unable to off gas/vent the room by opening the windows as there were no window screens except next to the front door. Then there was the issue of the most uncomfortable bed I've ever slept in. Every time you or your spouse moves, it squeaks and makes the other person bounce. The living room furniture was soiled and worn. Over the weekend, the room's toxic odor never diminished, and my resulting headache only got worse; lasting for a day even after we returned home. I felt like I had been poisoned. I had to wash the clothes that I hadn't even worn but were in my bag due to the strong chemical smell. $400 for two nights of misery.....never again.

Flying L Ranch Resort is a surprise for enjoyment and things to do. The Pilot's Lounge is a pretty spot and full of pictures and history for the Flying 7. The swimming pool is huge, clean and refreshingly saline. We only stayed 2 nights but could easily have stayed much longer.

Throughout the entire process of planning and enjoying our family reunion, our primary contact, Kathlynn Cunningham, provided professional, friendly, and excellent support. The rest of the staff was also friendly and helpful. The accommodations, food, and entertainment exceeded our expectations. We packed the weekend with happy memories and are so glad we found the Flying L.

We held our family reunion at the Flying L and had a wonderful time. The meals were good and on time. The accommodations were nice and the entire ranch was very clean. The ranch provided a nice variety of activities for varying ages. Our interaction with Ms. Cunningham and her staff were all positive. They were very helpful in the planning and during the actual stay. We would be happy to visit the Flying L again.

Just returned from a family reunion. There were over 40 of us there and I believe we all had a fantastic time. The accommodations were great, just right for a family reunion. Our plan included the meal plan, and the food was very good and the accommodations were clean done. There were lots of things for our family to do and the staff were very accommodating.

Great place for family reunion. From booking to front desk to maintemance everyone's attitude was how can we make your stay enjoyable. Enjoyed wagon ride, fishing, driving range, and swimming amenities. Buck is a real gem with kids feeding deer and cooking s'mores.
