Outstanding boutique hotel situated in the most beautiful spot by the Yulong River with breathtaking views in all four directions! We like how the style of the hotel reflects and complements the natural beauty of the area. There are abundant amenities and plenty of activities to pursue just around the property. It’s perfect for people who want to enjoy the beautiful pristine Shanshui of Guilin uninterrupted. We travelled with our extended family of 7 and everybody had a great time (especially our 2yo). The hotel is very kids friendly and the staff are wonderful. The swimming pool is immaculate and well equipped. We were also happily surprised by the quality of the food provided at the hotel. The ingredients were local and super fresh and the beer fish was very tasty. We ended up eating most of our lunches and dinners at the hotel. The room itself is gorgeous. We woke up everyday bathing in the morning sun with unobstructed views of the breathtaking Shanshui along the Yulong river! If you wake up early and go to the top floor, you will be rewarded with a special bonus! We are already looking forward to our next trip to Yangshuo and Xishi Jinshe!

This resort was a pleasant discovery. It is located in a very peaceful area, it has a large beautiful garden, and from the rooms it offers a stunning view of the beautiful landscape around. Our room was provided with all amenities, a terrace to sit peacefully and watch the mountains, and even a bathtub with an incredible view from the large windows. The breakfast was offered with local authentic food, which we found amazing.The resort also has a nice bar, where you can chill in the evening listening to vinyls and having well prepared cocktails. The staff and the property were friendly and helpful all the time, and went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and help us in our exploration of the area. Highly recommended, this is one you simply should not miss.

The place is amazing. Really nice and clean. They gently upgraded my room. The Chinese breakfast with local dishes is really good and changes every morning. The staff is really nice and helpful. This is a good spot to visit Yangshuo area, with the river so clase, the bamboo boats and the fishermen. Also only 45mn working along the river, there is the famous 20yuans landscape! I will be back!

Room was well appointed and spacious. Kept rather clean too, but the air conditioning took extremely long to cool the room down, almost 7 hours to cool from 30 degrees to 26 degrees at full fan speed. Our room was facing the back street, it was very very noisy at night and noise from the street can be heard clearly. Hotel does provide earplugs. Free laundry and dryer available.

Sugar House was one of the highlights of our trip to China. From the moment we arrived, we knew we had chosen somewhere special. The hotel is beautifully designed, blending contemporary luxury with its historic surroundings in a way that feels both unique and peaceful. Our room was spacious, stylish and extremely comfortable, with stunning views over the karst landscape. It was the perfect place to unwind after a day exploring Yangshuo. The food was outstanding throughout our stay. Breakfast offered a great selection of both Chinese and Western options, and every meal we had at the hotel restaurant was beautifully prepared using excellent local ingredients. Everything was consistently excellent and a real highlight of our stay. What really elevated our experience, however, was the exceptional service. Every member of staff was warm, welcoming and genuinely eager to help. They assisted us in arranging transport and offered excellent recommendations for exploring the surrounding area, making everything effortless. The location was perfect for us—peaceful and secluded, yet within easy reach of Yangshuo’s incredible scenery. We spent the day rafting on the Yulong River, visiting Fuli Bridge, Moon Hill and Xingping, before returning to relax by the beautiful riverside pool each evening. It was the ideal balance of adventure and tranquillity. Sugar House is much more than a luxury hotel; it is a destination in its own right. We left wishing we had booked an extra night and would not hesitate to return. It is a truly exceptional place that we will remember for a very long time.

We had an amazing stay at LS Hotel Guilin. The location is beautiful, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the views are absolutely stunning. The service was exceptional from start to finish. A special thank you to Reina and Li Ly, who went above and beyond to help us with everything we needed. They were always friendly, attentive, and made us feel truly welcome. We highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again!

This place is more like a resort than a hotel! There's so many amenities and have absolutely stunning views right outside of your window. The location of this hotel is closer to nature so you won't feel like you're in a touristy area at all but more like you're staying at a quit retreat in nature where you can enjoy the true beauty of Yangshuo. If you're someone who likes to take pictures, they have flower gardens full of butterflies and mountain top coffee shops that directly faces the mountains. Not to mention they also have a photography studio inside of their hotel who takes amazing photos. They also have infinity pools that hotsprings that overlooks the mountains that are available to guests all day. The breakfast they offer is fantastic as well. I didn't even need to leave the hotel to taste authentic yangshuo specialties. They got them all within the hotel. I suggest staying here at least 3+ days. My stay was too short!

Amazing experience staying at this hotel! Very friendly staff, cozy rooms with a lot of space for our kid to crawl around. Also we loved the swimming pool that has a great view and a whole bunch of swimming tubes. Definitely recommended and will visit again next time!

The hotel itself was beautiful! I found it a little challenging to find the location, but once I did, I came to appreciate that it was hidden away from the business and noise of West Street, while still being conveniently close. You have to wander through some alleyways, which I was suspicious of as a solo female traveler, but I quickly grew to like it because it is quieter and tucked away. Unfortunately, I did find that the room wasn't totally clean. There was hair, dirt, and dust on the floor that was not my own as well as a false eyelash stuck to the bed frame. I was grateful that it was a non-smoking room and aside from the cleanliness aspect, I greatly enjoyed my stay. The views from the rooms and the roof we're awesome!

I stayed for 2 nights and felt comfortable n relaxing. The room n bathroom were spotless clean. The balcony is a good place to have coffee early in the morning with the view of mountains n the river just in front. A stone throw is the busy west road where it is very convenient to find foods or do shopping. It is affordable for long stay as the cost is reasonable. Have a nice stay.
