The service was very good very polite staff we used the swimming , sauna and loved it very easy just sign in and enjoy for as long as you like. The food was superb. Will definitely be going there again and I will be spreading the word .

Perfectly situated for exploring Plymouth and all it has to offer, restaurants, shops , cinema , cafés, Barbican, the Hoe all within easy walking distance , buses and train station all easily accessible from here . Check in and out easy , staff very friendly and helpful, was travelling with my granddaughter so safety was upmost for me , and we certainly felt safe here . Beds , pillows very comfortable, room very clean no complaints as best nights sleep ever for both of us , very peaceful and quiet rooms , lack of drawer space for 2 ppl for four nights was a pain but not major , room was large and easy to move about in . Due to staff shortages our room couldn't be cleaned ( four night stay ) but we were left a bag of clean towels and refills of sugar/ tea / coffee, a letter of apology was also left explaining the situation, I was find with this as room was fine , out most of the time. Breakfast was adequate, hot , plenty of choice, ran out of few items which was disappointing, didn't get any eggs as quhe so long and all gone by the time it our turn , plus eaten the rest of my Breakfast as would've gone cold, tables not cleared quickly enough, had to ask for cutlery and to wipe the table , again down to staff shortages. Didn't eat breakfast again purely because my granddaughter only ever has toast and jam with a cup of apple juice , while I think £13 is reasonable for the breakfast, I'm not paying the same for 2 slices of toast and jam , no fault of the hotel obviously. We had serious issues with door card never working , think it worked on the last day , but all issues dealt with promptly by staff . All in all very good experience, thought it was very overpriced for what is really just a massive travel lodge , rooms are very similar to the many Premier inns and travel lodges around the country. Saying this I'd definitely stay again if visiting Plymouth.

The hotel building is ”grand” and was obviously one of the places to be in its heyday. Although travelling solo I was part of a larger group using the hotel as a base. I had a single room which was well furnished and of a good size. The bed was comfortable and the room and bathroom were both clean and tidy. It was a plus point for me to have a bath rather than just a shower. Some of the group did find the rooms very hot but I was able to open two windows which alleviated this problem. The staff were all very helpful and polite - I especially liked the two females at reception and in the bar. Both always had a smile on their faces. A slight disappointment, for me, was the 'group' menus. Whilst the Dinner choices were adequate and well cooked I did find them somewhat bland and lacking in imagination. Service was also somewhat slow. The breakfasts were well cooked and served at the table. This hotel is ideally situation for the Hoe and seafront. Even walking slowly it took me less than ten minutes.

Great customer service was very good. The room was great size with big Queen size beds very comfortable. The carpets could do with being replaced as stained. Only negative was some people near our room were noisy.

I stayed at The Moxy whilst recovering from a fall at home. I needed an accessible room as I have underlying mobility difficulties. I could not have chosen a better place to start my recuperation. From the moment I arrived at reception I was treated like a VIP. The lobby at The Moxy is light and airy with a clever sea theme befitting of Britain's Ocean City. I had a wonderfully warm greeting and was given a room upgrade because of the length of my stay. Even in these initial stages the staff were attentive and kind. The reception area has maps available for visitors and an assortment of items which you might have forgotten to pack (in my case a toothbrush!) My room, which I understand was a family suite, was sleek, modern and huge, with a separate lounge area with it's own TV. There was plenty of storage here, and in the large accessible bathroom. Everything was spotlessly clean, in good order and the decor was restful and attractive. The bed was large and exceedingly comfortable. For those who have a certain preference there is a pillow menu, and a variety of bedding is available according to taste. Despite the bar below being open 24 hours, there was literally no noise to disturb my sleep in the room above. The hotel sits in an area of regeneration and there is some construction noise in the morning, but in general the hotel is perfectly placed a short distance from the centre and with many good eateries within easy reach. Breakfast in the morning is served til 10:30 on weekdays and is an absolute triumph. It's provided buffet style with the most variety of choice I have ever seen in a hotel. There is everything imaginable available, and all dietary requirements are catered. I eat plant-based and found soya yoghurt, pastries, cereals, milks and vegan sausages as well as the usual beans, hash browns etc. A nice touch was that on a Sunday, things are turned up a notch further with even more variety in the breakfast available. Aside from the wonderful breakfast, guests can also choose to eat other meals in the bar. There is quite an extensive menu, and it's very good value for money. During my stay I tried all of the options available to me, and I was pleasantly impressed. Do not be fooled ... the 'small plates' for smaller appetites are actually very generous. I stayed for almost 3 weeks, and I still hadn't mastered not over ordering by the time I left! The thing that sets The Moxy apart from other hotels I've stayed in is the exceptional staff. Every single one of ”The Crew” merits special mention, but sadly I did not get everyone's name. They are friendly, cheerful and go out of their way to be helpful. They seem to be genuinely delighted to be part of the team and it shows in the way they interact with the guests. I was lucky enough to celebrate my birthday whilst staying at the Moxy and all the staff pulled out all the stops to ensure that I had a memorable day. Hotel rooms are very clean and comfortable with all the usual amenities tea, coffee, hair dryer, ironing board, TV, telephone, combination safe for valuables and good seating. USB ports and power points. House keeping is very efficient both for rooms and the hotel services are excellent The restaurant offers a wide and varied menu for all meals Pricing is competitive and quality is high

Stayed here for my wives birthday, the team did a wonderful job of making the day special, we had booked into the Lady Jane suite which was just perfect, enjoying a couple of Spa treatments and access to the spa facilities which were fantastic. Then down for a meal in the evening at the Acleaf restaurant where the staff continued the excellent service and knowledge of the food. The staff across the site were amazing, professional and just a pleasure to interact with along. 100% will be coming back and would encourage anyone else to go and spend a night too!

Thought I would say a few words about The Imperial Plymouth. Had a family event at short notice and was looking for a hotel centrally based in Plymouth with parking and good value, well i found it with The imperial Plymouth. I contacted reception and asked about late arrival, Rachel could not have done more, she left a key , took photos and sent instructions how to access my room. The room was in fact a fully self contained unit with cooker kettle microwave etc AND was very clean with all tea coffee provided. I will only ever stay in this hotel when visiting Plymouth. Lovely location, lovely room, I arrived at 2am and woke to late for breakfast, at 10am i hot a knock on the door and received a sausage sandwich the lady Rachel had seen i had missed breakfast and brought me something to eat. What a lovely place. It was old yet modern, rooms were very clean. We had a family room which had a separate-ish room that our children slept in, along with an en-suite bathroom and dressing room. The freshly cooked breakfasts were exceptional, and you can choose what you want. It was a stone's throw from the Hoe and 15 minutes walk along the Hoe to the National Aquarium, which was the reason we visited. The staff were very friendly, the beds were comfortable and it has a licensed bar open until 9pm with a quiet and comfortable drinking area. It was 20 mins walk from the station, I would highly recommend it.
