I recently stayed at the Loei Palace Hotel in the beautiful city of Loei for a photography tour. Kuhn Xiva Thong, the hotel manager and his staff were very professional, courteous and prompt with all request. Beautiful lighted park next to hotel for exercising or relaxing. Very good. Funky. trendy hotel with a lot of metalwork! Actually it all goes together well and ends up a cool setup. Our room even had a kitchen sink and a bench top if you are staying a few days. What else was good? the wi-fi, the fridge, the air-con, the bed, the shower, the balcony and the electrical power points in the right places. Good, friendly service too. The young man who checked us in, served up a great breakfast the next morning, The breakfast was a choice of 3, all Thai style. I went with rice porridge, which was excellent. It also had a mini-baguette Viet style, apple slice, a choice of real coffee and a boiled egg,. This hotel is great value for money. Two things to watch out for) as other reviewers have said it is noisy at night because it's right next to a few bars (but that might be what you want with many restaurants too) and 2) the floor in room has a few levels so put the light on, if you get up in the night!

2nd time I have stayed, here a few years apart. Nice clean hotel but without any food or drink on site. The coffee shop had no milk.
That being said, I will certainly stay there again when next in Loei.

PPC1955The room was clean, and comfortable. Note to tall foreigners:the bathroom entry door only has about 6 foot clearance. Some of the staff spoke a modest amount of english. The staff is attentive, and helpful. The location is in the city, but may not be a close walk from the hotel. There are extensive street food vendors near the large hospital. The highly rated breakfast buffet has been replaced with your choice of meals delivered to your room at the time you request, due to covid. At the time of this writing, some area tourist sites and restaurants are closed.

JJ4939HJmichaelpTypical Western style budget hotel, very similar to a Holiday Inn. The room was clean, modern and well maintained. The linen and towels were in good condition. The air-conditioning, hot water and refrigerator all worked well. The only negative issue is that the room was kind of small and at a walk in rate of 790 THB, a bit overpriced. Breakfast was also included, but was pretty uninspiring. Ample parking for folks who are self-driving.

GGrassiThe hotel was in an excellent area for my needs. It had everything. However what really made it unique from the other hotels was its staff, and I am referring to everyone from front desk to maintenance, to cleaning, etc. Every one was positive, happy, friendly, respectful. I wish I had a picture of the whole staff together to send you. This Hotel is the best in Loei and that is without question. I would go further to say that it's one of the best kept secrets in Thailand.

PPengguna TetamuNice Thai style hotel in the centre of town close to night food street. They apologised as they only had a single room left. What I got was a large room tiled floor (cooler) 2 windows with a view of the park, fridge, double bed,TV (Thai only) ensuite (shower hot but water pressure limited. The place was clean and reasonably maintained staff were present and spoke more English than my Thai,ie not a lot, all this and a small gecko as a room mate. I paid B399.Lots of food place nearby, I recommend a Thai place exit hotel turn left, left at roundabout and it is a few metres down on the right

PPengguna TetamuArrived at the location around 5:30-6:00pm. We let them know the previous day we would arrive approximately around that time. Walking up to the counter I was excited to get us all in the room to relax after such a long drive. To be sure we would enjoy our time there, I purchased the biggest villa they had. Right away I realized something was off when the receptionist ignored my booking and asked if I just wanted a single room. I explained that I wanted what I booked and two more times she would attempt to give me a lessor room but for the same cost of the Superior Villa. Finally they had someone drive in front of us and direct us to our villa. When we got there, it was the wrong one. They again tried to give us a tiny room with one bed. There were FOUR of us! I told them again, the booking was for their Superior Villa for 5 adults. So they finally took us to our booking. Upon entering the villa I was so excited to get in that I could have missed any little tidbits that may not have been right. But there was animal feces on our beds, pillows, floor and the bath was covered in feces and urine. On top of that, the door didn't even lock. So we called and they apologized and had us move next door. Upon entering that villa we were more cautious. There was animal feces again on the bedding. I told them just change the bedding and we are fine. But then we realized the back sliding glass door was unable to close properly or lock. So they moved us for a third time. It has now been 2 HOURS!!!! We had to move a ton of items every time. Multiple coolers, luggage, coconuts and more!!! Upon getting into the new room, we realize only one bed is in this villa but at this point we don't care. They show us this giant jacuzzi bathtub that looks decent and we decide to move are things in and just call it a night. Turns out that the balcony lights didn't work and the jacuzzi that they talked up was completely broken and non-functional. We called them and told them they needed to refund at least half the amount. At first they told me I would need to go down to talk to management. I let them know I wasn't going anywhere and it had been 2 hours and I was done playing with them. Reluctantly they offered a 50% refund and we managed to make the rest of the night not completely terrible. Do not stay here, it is not worth the trouble.
