Andante Hotel

The hotel located in the area is not very safe. But the hotel is aware, therefore when you enter the hotel, you will also need to punch the card. The room inside does not have a kettle or fridge. And also the AC was not working, it only provided warm air. So if you don't open the window, it will be quite hot. But if you open the window. it has a lot of mosquitoes. Some sockets in the wall are not installed well, it was not working. I was living on a high floor, the water pressure was not very good. But the roof top pool view is looking stunning.

The hotel was truly lovely, a fabulous room with lovely facilities, the rooftop pool and seating area is absolutely fantastic! The safe were so helpful and friendly and spoke perfect English, you feel so safe in the hotel they have a bag storage that has multiple locked doors to get through.

A pleasant stay with helpful staff, and very commendable ethos on sustainability. Very convenient for the Rambla. The only negative was to the look of the area around, particularly towards the harbour area, with a considerable number sleeping rough.

Excellent hotel experience all round, from the greeting and helpfulness of staff on the front desk, room cleaning service daily and a fabulous breakfast that is well worth the money. All staff we met were friendly and courteous. The commitment to being environmentally friendly is evident. I took a travel kettle so I could have coffee in my room, however there is a coffee machine in the sitting area. Local convenience store very near for snacks. Easy to walk to the metro station. We bought a 10 journey T causal ticket that can be used on the metro or bus and covered all the sights we wanted to see on a two day visit that was more than adequate. We used the black and yellow taxis for the airport to hotel journey, easy to pick up from both starting points for €30-€36 (cash or card). Don’t be put off by reference to side streets being dodgy, it can feel a bit intimidating at night time, but can be avoided. Roof top terrace has stunning views across the city and towards the sea.

The hotel is very close to everything. Easy acess to Metro. There are 3 metro stations close by. There are shops close by. Lots of restaurant nearby. Sea Port is just 5 mins away (walk) . La Boquera Market is just like 10 mins away (walk). Close to Gothic Quarter too. Staff are friendly and helpful. I would stay here again.

Had an issue with a foul odor coming from the drain in the room. The staff acted promptly, and I was moved to another room on a different floor.

Nice place with helpful staff. Sadly, our room was so terribly hot, we couldn't sleep. They didn't want to turn on the AC (for pseudo eco reasons) but and it was 23 degrees inside. We could hear patients from the hospital next door screaming all night.
