Hotel berhampiran Church of Saint Joseph, Bari

Il bb si trova in un bel palazzo signorile, ben tenuto in pieno centro. La stanza era ampia e comoda. Consiglio solo di mettere nuovi antiscivolo sui gradini che portano alla doccia, per maggiore sicurezza. Così come un altro consiglio, forse più importante, è di mettere dei doppi vetri alle finestre, per insonorizzare la stanza, perché si sente tutta la movida notturna e la successiva pulizia delle prime ore dell’alba. Bulunduğu yer harika. Heryere yürüyüş mesafesinde. Resepsiyondaki çalışanlar çok yardımcı oluyorlar. Kahvaltılar çok güzel, taze ve göz doldurucu idi. Restaurant çalışanları Güleryüzlü ve yardımcı olmaya çalışıyorlar. Otel odalarının duvarları ince ve ses yalıtımı iyi sayılmaz. Gezginler için çok güzel bir yer. Odadaki resme bayıldım.

The hotel is situated in a good location close with the old town to the left and baring right is the street with designer shops, along with railway station and fountain. We were located on the 2nd floor and given room 4 which was very comfortable and had everything we needed and the bathroom was clean and spacious. The only downside (in my opinion) was the only window we had was overlooking a brick wall to the centre of the hotel so there was no light or no view. There were tea making facilities but unfortunately no milk. Vitto the lovely hotel receptionist was very nice and helpful. He gave us a map and explained where everything was on the map to help us explore Bari. He was always smiling and helpful if we had any questions. An added bonus was the weather! On Monday it reached 27 degrees! I would definitely recommend this hotel for a short break or overnight stay.

Really enjoyed my experience at the Olive Tree in comparison to the other hostels I have visited in Italy. The staff are really friendly and helpful with knowledge on day-trips away from Bari and how to use the public transportation to get to a location. What I found really nice is that the would talk you through what each place was like, rather than refering to a QR code which other hostels now seem to prefer. Beds, bathroom and kitchen was clean - and there was also a lovely terrace outside. Good location to access public transport as well as getting into Old and New Town.

Booked two deluxe rooms (one for single pax and the other for two pax) but was given two rooms of different sizes instead - not very impressed to say the least! Room decor has seen its better days to be honest! Plastic tables and chairs in the room for a 4-star property are pure cheapskates! Air conditioning still hasn’t been switched back on in late April when temperature already reaching low 20 Celsius! Had to stay and sleep in the room with window shut because of noisy disco noises nearby lasting beyond 2 am in the wee hours of Sunday morning ! Got ‘roasted and baked’ in the room with no ventilation as a result - not very ideal when covid is still raging! Still couldn’t understand why the hotel still insists on ‘no self-service’ for buffet breakfast - apparently in the name of covid! ‘Accidentally’ tried to pick up some breakfast items by myself on arrival as there was no sign on display stating the not-so-obvious ‘no self-service’ policy but was told off by one of 2 staff members on duty with plate being ‘snatched’ from my hands! The paradox being this practice caused long queue with only 2 staff members available to pick and dish out items for guests! Long queue and mass gathering of guests would not spread covid but picking up your own food with disinfected hands would apparently! Few ironic observations made though! The two specific staff members on food picking duty didn’t wear gloves at all when picking food with thongs for guests - is that even covid-safe??? One of the two members on that specific food picking duty went on to pick food for guests after clearing and cleaning up table with bare hands and then went over to do their food picking duty for other guests without washing or disinfecting their hands - covid safe I fear not??? If insisting on ‘no self-service’ policy, make sure you have sufficient staff to handle constant stream of guests coming in for breakfast! I was certainly being put off by either long queue or absent staff to help pick the food I wanted!

This is a clean, modern, welcoming, well equipped hotel with good sized rooms for a very reasonable price. The included breakfast is good with quite a lot of options. The free tea and coffee station and the reasonably priced honour system snack bar were both appreciated by us. We did not get a good night’s sleep unfortunately. We were on a non smoking floor but had horrible strong cigarette smells pumping into our room out of our air con. It’s 2023 - just make the whole hotel non-smoking as it does not work floor by floor. There was awful Muzak music (like piper music in a supermarket) coming from somewhere for most of the night, This is not the best place to stay to visit Bari as a tourist. It is in the somewhat bleak new residential area. It is a very long walk along uninteresting roads to get to the beautiful old town or you can spring for a taxi. There is not much at all in the nearest vicinity apart from ugly modern high rise buildings and scrubby lots and construction sites, although we found a local pub Malto’s 2 streets away which was pretty good. It is very close to the autostrada and just 15 minutes drive to the airport. The latter was the appeal for us for 1 night only for an early morning flight but earlier in our Puglia travels we stayed in the old town and if you are a tourist, you will have a much better experience if you do so. The hotel seemed full of tradespeople and other workers so this might be its niche market rather than tourists.

Les chambres sont très modernes et très propres, le petit déjeuner est bon, l’hôtel est bien situé à côté d’une plage de plus il y’a plein de bus qui mènent vers la ville. La navette de l’hôtel vers la vieille ville est gratuite, c’est top. On as beaucoup aimer la piscine, les frites de patate douce ainsi que les mijotos à déguster au bord de celle ci. Le personnel est parfait , et mention spéciale pour Vito , le pool boy extrêmement gentil et très serviable

After 10 days Italy and great hospitality you arrive at the Parco Dei Principi Hotel and everything you remember of Italian hospitality fades away. The arrogant way you are treated at the front desk, they should shame themselves. Who do the man and woman think they are? Later that evening we booked a taxi back to the hotel, arriving at the hotel we found out the driver only accepts cash. I asked the front desk (same man and woman) to charge my room for the cash money. They refused to help us, so I went to the airport with the driver. Been all over the world in high end hotels, but the arrogance of those 2 at the front desk still pisses me of. Go work somewhere hospitality is not an issue, they don’t get it at all. For me this is the first and last time. Then the room, I booked for 2 people, how will that work with one towel? They screw up on all fronts and I believe they do not give anything about it, otherwise the people at the front desk where not working here.

Chose this hotel because we were flying into Bari and picking up our rental car at Bari airport for our Puglia road trip. I didn't want to drive into a city and wanted someplace easy and convenient to get to. The Hotel Barion fit the bill. Very easy to get to from the airport and a great view. Rooms were nice and clean, felt safe the whole time. The staff were all great. Had dinner at the restaurant after we arrived and even though there was a large tour group that was dining at the same time the service and food were very good. The breakfast on the top floor in the morning was wonderful.....view and food. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
