Hotel très élégant, bien équipé et très confortable. Literie parfaite, salle de bain spacieuse et bien équipée. Plateau de courtoisie très apprécié

The hotel exterior is a typical Alsace ginger bread construction. The interior beautifully combines this old-world charm with a fresh modern interior. The spa & pool in the cellar are first class. The masseur Elodie was amazing. The hotel restaurant was closed on our first night, we found a nice pizza restaurant but most of the town of Barr was closed. We ate in the hotel restaurant the following night. We experienced very poor service. 40 minutes before we had wine to our table. Two hours between ordering our food and getting our main course. There were other issues in terms of lack of professionalism amongst staff. Two of the three dishes I was served were unacceptable. I made the reception staff aware I was unwilling to pay for these dishes, and they removed them from the bill. The breakfast was wonderful. The staff, during breakfast, the cleaner and reception staff were all friendly and professional.

Great location in the centre of town with adjacent parking. Lovely spacious and well-equipped rooms, nice lounge space on ground floor and lovely restaurant. A great place to stay and really good value.

This is a terrible little hotel that holds itself out as something it is not. Be sure to know exactly the room you’re getting ahead of time, or prepare for disappointment. When we tried to leave, we were told “prepaid” sorry, you are out of luck. When asked if we could transfer to a sister hotel, which was the suggestion of the night staff when we asked upon checking in, we were told “no.” We effectively have a room that we’re sure the summer interns use during the season, behind a curtain, no elevator service, which you get to by walking through a service area (thus the curtain) - what kind of hotel even has rooms like that???? As we all know, pictures lie, we do not recommended this hotel at all … stay in Obernai, stay in Colmar or any of the other towns … horrible little place full of puffed up pretenders

Reservation department clearly not interested in new customers. Personally emailed them with the request for availability of two rooms next to eachother. just recieved an email back, with a link of the hotel........ and the remark. children below 16 are not welcome in the Spa...... no help in getting the correct rooms..... no message on webistes etc about the spa (no children without adult guidance would have been a better option....) would be better if the would advertice ADULT ONLY. called the hotel to discuss, no management available to help.. i had to call back after 14.00.... amazing that this is happening on a service level not worth a MGallery, All Accor hotel!

Exceptionnel séjour au sein de l’établissement. Je ne me suis pas cogné aux poutres mansardées qui font au contraire le charme de notre chambre. Le parking à deux minutes de l’hôtel est très pratique et sécurisé. Comment s’en plaindre ? L’hôtel étant en plein centre ville face à la mairie, heureusement qu’il existe… Le spa est optimisé au maximum car installé dans les anciennes caves et très intime et charmant même si forcément de part sa nature il n’est pas extensible. Nous avons passé un moment merveilleux dans cet hôtel alliant modernité et histoire. Nous avons eu la chance de manger deux soirs dans le restaurant et d’être très bien accompagné par une équipe sympathique et professionnelle avec notamment un excellent cannelloni d’araignée de mer et un très bon choix de vins au verre : muscat Maurer et pinot noir Boeckel. Le petit déjeuner est exceptionnel et surpasse largement ceux de ses voisins : l’esquisse de Colmar et la Citadelle de Metz faisant une très belle part aux produits locaux Alsaciens. L’équipe féminine du matin est d’autre part d’une bonne humeur communicative. Le service du soir dans la chambre est très apprécié et appréciable. Le cadeau de bienvenue est à la hauteur du lieu contrairement à ceux de ses voisins précités tout comme le Kouglof du matin. Bref nous terminons notre séjour Alsacien sur un sans faute. Nous conseillons la visite culturelle du strutof et la boucherie au vieux fumoir pour la gastronomie, ainsi que la visite du vigneron Maurer. Que tout le travail des équipes du 5 terres soit récompensé par mon modeste commentaire.

C’est le 4e séjour que nous passons dans cet établissement et nous ne nous en lassons pas. Dès que nous passons la porte d’entrée, nous sommes transportés dans une bulle de quiétude. Tout est calme, posé, relaxant. Le personnel y est aux petits soins et d’une sympathie inégalable. Les chambres et les infrastructures sont splendides et empreintes d’une magnifique histoire. Les soins au SPA sont idylliques et le personnel y est d’une douceur exceptionnelle. Je recommande vivement cet établissement ainsi que la table du 5 où vous mangerez des mets fins et délicieux.

Nous avons passé une nuit dans cet hôtel dont les prestations ne correspondent absolument pas à celles d’un 5 étoiles et dont différents points nous ont particulièrement déçus : Accueil : Réceptionnistes obséquieuses et désordonnées. Aucun service de dépose minute ni de voiturier. Chambre : Insonorisation inexistante, nous entendions tous les bruits de la rue (passage des voitures, éclats de voix, ramassage des poubelles, livraisons). Petit-déjeuner : Gestion du service chaotique : manque d’assiettes, viennoiseries non renouvelées, pas de libre disposition du beurre, etc. Restaurant : Bien que nous ayons souhaité dîner au restaurant, le responsable nous a dit qu'il était complet, alors que plusieurs tables restaient libres. Parking : Le message concernant la réservation du parking est trompeur. Il est indiqué une distance de 150 mètres alors qu'il est en réalité situé à 700 mètres ! Cette information est inadmissible, surtout pour les personnes en situation de handicap, comme c'est le cas de mon épouse. Nous sommes très déçus par cette expérience qui ne correspond en rien aux attentes d’un établissement classé 5 étoiles.
