Hotel 5 Bintang Terbaik di Basel

My husband and I decided to enjoy the long MLK weekend in Basel, Switzerland. We live in neighboring Germany, and Basel is a city we were curious about. I discovered Les Trois Rois last spring and we finally got the opportunity to book a stay. I selected a Queen River Room with a terrace. It was pricey, and I completed the booking before I noticed I could have added breakfast. I'm actually glad I didn't include breakfast, though, because Basel has some nice cafes where it is possible to enjoy a relatively cheap breakfast with locals. We did have breakfast at the hotel one morning, and it was very good. I think if I had to do it over, I would have opted for a King River Room, as the Queen room was a bit cozy. However, we had a great view of the river from our stylish room, and we loved the huge terrace, even though it was cold outside. I got a kick out of the ”washlet” type toilet, and it was nice to have a complimentary minibar. I also liked the shower, particularly the pressure, although it didn't seem to drain very fast. The mattress was a bit too firm for my taste, but that seems to be a problem for me in most hotels these days. I liked that the housekeeping staff left notes when we missed turn down, because we had the do not disturb cord up. That was very considerate. I was especially impressed by how warm, welcoming, and friendly the staff was. Nothing was too much trouble, and everyone seemed to be enjoying their work. I assume the hotel offers a good working environment, as no one looked stressed. If we go back to Basel, I would not hesitate to stay at Les Trois Rois again. I will also heartily recommend it to others. And yes, we DID try Cheval Blanc by Peter Knogl and that, as well, is entirely worth a visit! Just bring a credit card with a high limit!

The originally designated room was still not ready at 5 pm. So I got another room. Nice yet small room with a nice view. Only negative point was the hotel is located right next to a tram station and the Basel fair close to Basel Badischer Bahnhof. It s a high rise building with hotelrooms up to floor 14. There is an independant bar on the 30st floor in the same building with spectacular views. Hotel guests get a free Basel card with allows to use public transport for free and lots of half price things to do like museums, zoo etc.

Superb location near the train station and walkable to old town area. Excellent bedroom and bathroom. Excellent breakfast. Would stay there again. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Hotel is conveniently located less than five minutes’ walk (with luggage) from Basel SBB. We were greeted by a genuinely friendly receptionist, who informed us that we had been upgraded. Well, we arrived at the “room,” which turned out to be a suite with dining/conference area, two bathrooms, a soaking tub, and a panaromic view of the Basel skyline. The dining/living area and bedroom were separate, each with individually controlled A/C. The weather was actually very cool and pleasant for late June, so the A/C was sufficient. That said, if it had been hotter, I’m not sure if the A/C in the bedroom would have quite enough for me, but I’m an extremely picky customer when it comes to air conditioning. In general, Switzerland is a tough place if you need your room at 19 Celcius/69 Farenheit. The living room, though, was able to get very cold. The in-house dining and beverage options were fantastic. There’s a more formal restaurant on the mezzanine above the lobby, where I enjoyed a great meal that worked around my dietary restrictions. Downstairs, there’s a patio restaurant/cafe, and a stylish indoor bar with a midcentury Milanese aesthetic. Honestly, I was surprised it wasn’t busier, but that might have been because we were staying midweek, right after Art Basel. Overall, I very highly recommend. Probably best suited to business travel, but it didn’t feel impersonal, or lacking in personality or style. On the contrary, it was comfortable and contemporary, with a few modernist touches that elevated the look and feel of the property.

Mooi verzorgd en eigenlijk 5* waardig hotel! Kamers zijn ruim en bedden slapen heerlijk. Enig minpuntje is de badkamer waar je moet douchen in de badkuip met een zeer kleine douchekop en het toilet direct achter de douchedeur. Voor de rest: - het personeel is top, ontbijt is volledig en uitgebreid - de gym en spa is heerlijk en het zwembad is heerlijk groot

Wir hatten ein Deluxe Zimmer zum Patio (Lounge Innenhof)gelegen. Es war sehr ruhig und hübsch ausgestattet. Elktr. Jalousien, Leise Klimaanlage, leiser Kühlschrank mit einer umfangreichen Getränke und Snack Füllung. Eine riesige komfortable Dusche in einem hellen, sauberen Bad aus Glas bis zur hohen Decke. ( Mit nach Wunsch zuziehbarem, weißen, luftig leichten Vorhang konnte man für mehr Diskretion Sorgen. Das ganze Hotel ist schön und modern eingerichtet. Kaffee steht in den Zimmern und im Foyer durch Nespresso Maschinen zur Verfügung. Das Personal im gesamten Haus ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück war umfangreich mit viel Auswahl. Zur Auswahl gab es Leckeren Filterkaffee und Nespresso am Automat.

The location was very near to the train station, which is very ideal for travellers with big luggages. The hotel room was comfortable and the best part was that no travelling adaptors were needed. You can simply insert your electronic devices into the different sockets available!

The whole journey was amazing. Switzerland is the cleanest country I’ve been to and this hotel fulfills my expectations. There weren’t toothpaste in the room so I left a note asking for it and the staff left a post it note with dental amenities in our bathroom after we left. Cutest thing I’ve experienced, would highly recommend this room too!

Удобное расположение - до вокзала минут 5 на 30 автобусе, ходит часто, остановка в шаге. Рядом шикарные ворота Spalentor, за ними практически начинается шопинговое пространство и центр. До остановки 50 автобуса в аэропорт пройти минут 5. Персонал в отеле очень приветливый, на ресепшн пряники, водичка, конфетки, открытки, буклеты, карты. Заселили раньше положенного, поздний выезд без доплат до 12, далее 50 Франков. Дали basel card: бесплатный транспорт, в т.ч. до аэропорта, и 50% скидка на музеи. Там также код для входа в отель после 22 (или 23, уже точно не вспомню), когда на ресепшене нет никого. Завтрак отличный, сыров видов 7, нарезка, овощи, горячее, соки, воды, джемы, фрукты, можно заказать яичницу, омлет, кофе и пр., на 5 этаже с красивыми видами, небольшое помещение. Номер уютный, тапки, халаты, минибар, много разных люстр и светильников. Тихо. Тв туча программ, наших нету. Одеяла отличные, подушки так себе. Итог: рекомендую.

The hotel is in an excellent position, very close to the beautiful river Rhine and approximately 5 mins to the old town. Lots of restaurants close by. Our room was on the 5th floor, spacious and bright with two double windows. Tea/coffee, kettle, fridge and safety deposit box. Comfy large bed, A/C not the best, the room didn’t cool down to a satisfactory level. Very quiet considering the location. Excellent shower and soft bath towels, lighting in the bathroom could be improved as it was quite dark. Good quality buffet style breakfast with a varied selection of hot and cold food served in the bright lobby area. No bar or outside seating. Staff were professional, the whole hotel was spotless.
