Premier Inn Basingstoke West

Room was tired and needing upgrading. Carpet had ingrained dirt embedded in it. Bathroom was dated with staining at back of toilet and shower curtain over bath. Rainfall shower head had water running down the hose rather than through the shower head itself. Bed was comfortable with very good pillows (extra pillows in bag on top of wardrobe). No plug sockets near bed but usb port available instead so only 1 device can be charged close to the bed. Friendly staff at reception and in Beefeater although limited menu available (OK if you like chips every night) would've liked some mash potatoes and curry and rice on the menu??? Some of the chips were hard and inedible and be mindful of some king prawns not being cooked enough!!! Very rushed through evening meal from starter to main and once dessert was finished (literally) the bill was placed immediately on the table.

We stayed as using the entertainment park next door. Free parking is plentiful which is great. I'd booked and paid online but still check-in took aaaaggggeeeessss. People in front of us has lots and lots of questions. We must have waited at least 15min and the queue was growing. Self check-in must be possible, surely??? Rooms fine but one of rooms had a problem with toilet taking a very long time to refill. Very good night's sleep and attached Beefeater was good too. Would have been 5 stars if checking in had not been so slow.

We travelled to Basingstoke to visit ifly and stayed over night as it’s a long drive for us. Premier inn was very clean, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The 3 of us had our own bed each and they were all very comfortable. As a single mum with 2 daughters I felt safe and relaxed travelling alone. We didn’t eat dinner at the beef eater as my kids aren’t that keen on burgers and the menu was limited. We did have breakfast however and the food was great, the staff were friendly and the restaurant was clean. I’d happily return and stay again.

Friendly, efficient and responsive staff. Large warm room (compared to some other establishments). Comfortable bed in a quiet room. Very good facilities nearby including a Lidl shop, museum, eating outlets and a range of entertainments.

I have used Premier Inns hundreds of times without issues. This time however was different. Room had no hot water. Fan continued whirring all through the night despite being switched off. When we reported this to reception, we were told to submit our complaint online. No apology given. Once accessing the online site, we found there is no option to complain, only to give feedback. Not good customer service.

Good location for our needs NO decaffeinated tea in hotel or beefeater restaurant Didn't request to clean room, which was our choice, but that meant no restocking of tea tray or clean cups. Comfortable nights sleep, 12.00 checkout good. Paid parking.
