Ulasan Gubei Water Town William Edgar Hotel

Great location in the Beijing Water Town! Spacious and nicely decorated rooms, nice breakfast and helpful staff. Highly recommended.

My friend and I recently had the pleasure of visiting Gubei Watertown and stay at William Edgar for a night. The experience was excellent from the service staff to the facilities provided in the resort. I can't recommend it highly enough!

A truely awesome hotel smack bang in the middle of town. It looks brand new, everything really clean and staff are awesome. The room we had was really large decorated in western style, with amazing view of the swimming pool and the simatai great wall. The bed was large and extremely comfortable. The bathroom was also huge with two sinks and separate cubicles for the toilet, bath tub and separate shower. Both room and toilet were immaculately clean. Breakfast was included as standard and was buffet with both Chinese and western options, just asweosme. You can get free shuttle from the car park to the tourist information centre where you can check in to the hotel, and then get on another free shuttle to the hotel. You can of course walk, takes about 20 mins from the tourist information centre. There is also free luggage delivery service to and from the hotel from the car park which is super convenient. Staying at the hotel means you get free entrance to Gubei water town, so you don't need to buy a separate ticket for that. There is also free entrance to the natural springs / spa included with the hotel stay. You will need to buy a separate ticket to visit simatai great wall though, however you do get a discount if you wish to join the night tour of the great wall.

A hotel within resort village Wtown has so much to offer from cultural, food and Great Wall exploration. This hotel is conveniently located, very clean, good breakfast and nearby to all major attractions. Gubei is worth visiting preferably in the cooler season for a few nights.

Will come back to stay for longer. The pool needs to be more cleaner there were bugs everywhere. They had pool toys to use at a price, which could be made free for hotel guests, but they were kind of broken too. Very cute though! Apart from that hotel is 1000/10 on every other aspect. I will be coming back

I took my 94 year old mother to 古北水镇 and stayed at William Edgar Hotel. We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The location is at the center of the town with the shuttle bus stop station nearby, and close to the major night show square 日月岛广场。 In addition to that, the in house breakfast is a plus for families to start the day. We stayed at the room with two twin beds and the room is very spacious and clean. We were also greeted by the staff at our check in and check out. Very friendly staff and made our stay very pleasant. Will return this this hotel on our next visit.

Its located somewhat at the beginning part of the water town, very close to one of the water town bus stop. We were offered free upgrade to a room with view upon arrival. I'm guessing its because we visited in middle of the week where there are less people, but still nice gesture. Rooms are clean and functional. View of the mountain top with great wall was awesome. We tried their german themed restaurant for lunch was good, pricing as expected of a resort. Breakfast buffet was included, with typical spread, nothing special but good enough to fill you up before the day. Of note, the hotel does include entry ticket for hot spring. However, the hot springs are all located at the end of the water town closer to the great wall entrance. So you will have to take the shuttle bus / walk to those hot spring locations. Overall, nice stay.

Of the hotels in WTown this is one of our favorites. The ammenities are great, the rooms are large, and it is in the center of everything. I highly recommend it.

This hotel is the perfect location to stay in Gubei Location is very accessible because its in the middle of water town. Thumbs up for car service if you stay inside the water town Free and unli ride shuttle 😊
