Ulasan Hotel New Otani Chang Fu Gong

Nice to find a hotel that offers family room for 4 in a single room - I guess in China it’s still rare for there to be more than 1 child in a family! The room was a good size with a very comfortable super king bed that fits 3 persons and an additional single bed. Bathroom was big with bath and separate rain shower. Bar was closed (for good??). Annoying as we had family who came to visit and wanted to have a drink together that isn’t just wine. At least offer some beer in your restaurant if the bar is closed. Breakfast was vast, lots of choice. But for the price I would expect better包子 and 油条. Felt like they came from a packet, not freshly made. I can get so much better on a street cart for less than £1, so very disappointing that a five star hotel cannot make decent Chinese staples. I would say the 豆腐脑, and 葱花饼 was lovely, and I stuck with this for the duration of the stay.

Great location, beautiful garden and clean our room every day. Extended stay.They have an air cleaning unit in our room that can adjust the humidity. Very nice breakfast too.

The hotel is great, conveniently located close to the subway that leaves you at Forbidden City in 15-20 minutes. The staff is super friendly, always smiling ready to help you with your luggage or questions. Breakfast has a good variety of western and Chinese food, also omelette cooking. Highly recommended! We stayed during the China-Africa forum 2024 and despite high occupancy of top level politicians, they were all very attentive with us! Don’t miss to swim in the pool!

It was good stay, I like the room and the toilet was very good and comfortable, suggested.

A truly excellent 5-star hotel (if not better) in a great location with wonderful staff in and around the premise! Of special mention is the Front Office Manager, Mr Su Yan, who quickly and tirelessly helped salvage an issue with a friend who was initially part of the booking for the Twin-room. As this friend had submitted his passport to an embassy for a visa, he couldn't check in with me. As a result, a request was made for a double bed for single occupancy which was promptly met without incurring further charges. All staff, from the front office to housekeeping, maintained their courteous smiles and greetings throughout my 4 nights/5 days stay. This included even those at the restaurant for breakfast, who were quick to usher their guests to their tables, and to promptly serve the desired beverage. Breakfast was sumptuous with a good variety of choices from Western to Chinese, and even Japanese. My room was always cleaned as soon as I left for breakfast and this made it pleasant to return to the room, to plan the outings for the day. The subway, which was within walking distance helped with getting around Beijing without the hassle of being caught up in the horrific traffic which seems to be a common feature of this city. This was truly a spendid trip staying at this gem of a hotel that I had even contemplated extending my stay for another 2 nights. However, duty beckoned me to check out to return to work. I look forward to returning to this hotel once more should the opportunity present itself and I'm hoping that it'll be sooner too!

Great service and friendly staff! We were traveling with a lot of baggage and they were helpful with storing it even after checkout!

Everything is good except that the sporta facilities are pay per use. And they are not cheap even for things like table tennis.

Just near Jianguomen, well located to go around. However not so many restaurants around. Old building but Room was modern and clean.

Location is very convenient although not many restaurants near by. The swimming pool is also very clean.

Very good locations near MRT. Although hotel a bit old but well kept and maintained. Enjoy our stay here. Was worried about coldness of aircon but aircon very cold and they even provide standing fan when I requested it.
