Our family trip to Beijing was made even better by this unexpectedly wonderful hotel. The courtyard guesthouse, nestled in a hutong, with its traditional gray bricks and red walls, offered a truly elegant atmosphere and gave us a taste of old Beijing culture. The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, always providing tea and pastries. We loved relaxing and chatting in the tea room after our daily outings. Our room was fully equipped, very cozy, and even had a projector and other modern conveniences, which was great. Our whole family was extremely satisfied and comfortable. We'll definitely be back next time!

The hotel is small and cozy, with excellent service. They offer a self-service breakfast and afternoon tea with fruit every day. The owner and all the staff are incredibly warm and welcoming. Plus, there's always plenty of water and drinks available, which is a really thoughtful and generous touch. I'll definitely choose this place again next time I'm in Beijing.

A small yet cozy quadrangle courtyard. The service truly goes above and beyond. The daily complimentary breakfast, afternoon tea, and late-night snacks are all thoughtfully prepared. Upon returning, staff always proactively ask if you'd like refreshments, and hot milk is delivered to your room in the evenings, making you feel incredibly welcome. The two dogs, 'Wangcai' and 'Laifu,' add a lively touch to the stay, and chatting with the owners reveals their passion for life. The location is convenient, close to Tiananmen Square and Wangfujing, making it ideal for travelers who seek a quiet retreat and appreciate attention to detail in service.

Facilities: Excellent! Service: The service deserves special praise. The staff, especially a few ladies, were incredibly gentle and accommodating, always ready to help. Our family of four gives them a real thumbs-up, and my child especially loved it. They even upgraded our room type, and the fruit provided was also very good. Chinese-style exquisite afternoon tea for two: I particularly enjoyed it. I'll definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Beijing.

The environment is truly unique, a charming little courtyard nestled in Yanle Hutong. It's super close to the subway, making the location absolutely perfect. Getting to nearby attractions and shopping malls is a breeze. Already looking forward to my next stay!

This has been the best experience we ever been as a family, it’s no longer just about the stay or room itself. We have been well taken care of by the ladies in service and the store manager who made us felt like home. They fed us food and offered drinks throughout the whole day whenever we are back - we have a line up of food and drinks for us. From beef noodles, wanton soup, tang yuan to palace desserts & tea. Soya bean and juices. My kids even tried making COTTON candy, popcorn, grilling sweet potato - and all these are complimentary! No charges - just like a friend, a family. They were very friendly especially with our little ones. Letting us hold the bird and feeding fishes. There’s nothing we cannot do during the stay. What impresses us more - they even does laundry for free (though it’s hard to dry clothes during the winter season). The extended service was astonishing. We felt so welcomed and so blessed to have found this lovely courtyard that offers more than just a stay. We had 4 nights and we felt it was such a long time there. Everyday was a delightful experience. Best place - the interior were modern decorated and high tech with “ AI assistance” for closing the curtains, lights and even the toilets are high tech as well! Last day - they even send us out to the main road. Gave us a small gift that really made us feel so much more than any other hotels can offer. Overall - we loved our time there, it was the first time in China and we enjoyed being there. Thanks again for the great memories! Hope you all remember us as well!

The room was fantastic, and the front desk staff, especially the lady who helped us, was amazing. Every time we left, she'd offer us a hot drink to warm our hands. When we returned in the evenings, a cup of warm milk would be waiting for us in our room. It truly felt like coming home. On our departure day, we were in a hurry to catch our train, and to our surprise, the hotel even sent us off with a souvenir: a teacup and a can of tea. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Beijing!

Exceeded my expectations! The butler was incredibly warm and thoughtfully prepared afternoon tea and bedtime milk for us. The breakfast was also very rich and varied. The owner's parrot, Doudou, is absolutely adorable! This is a true quadrangle courtyard, with its winding paths leading to secluded spots, embodying a noble spirit that scorns living without bamboo, and reaching a realm where the fragrance of plum blossoms comes from bitter cold.

Although the room is small, the service is excellent, and the quadrangle courtyard is very unique. It's popular with many international guests. You can also enjoy authentic Beijing snacks without even leaving the hotel; both the Zhajiangmian (fried sauce noodles) and beef noodles are delicious! Plus, you can enjoy bird-watching and feeding fish.

Back in Beijing, I wanted to experience a traditional courtyard hotel (siheyuan) nestled in a quiet hutong, offering a tranquil escape from the bustling city. The hotel's decor is elegant and unique, and the rooms are clean, spacious, and even have underfloor heating. What really made my stay enjoyable was how kind and attentive all the staff were. They were always asking if I needed anything, ready to answer any questions, and went out of their way to help whenever they could. The breakfast was also excellent, and they even brought a lovely afternoon tea to my room every day after I returned from sightseeing. The hotel's location is also super convenient for getting around. It's a fantastic choice for staying in Beijing and one I'd definitely recommend!

When in Beijing, experiencing a traditional courtyard home is a must. This one is almost flawless. The location is superb—within walking distance to Wangfujing, yet it offers a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle. Recently renovated, it perfectly met all my expectations for a courtyard stay. It feels spacious and cozy, not at all 'cold,' with comfort in every corner. There's even an open-air rooftop for meditation and tea. Kids can feed the fish, make cotton candy, and popcorn; adults can enjoy beef noodles, wontons, and tangyuan, sip tea, watch movies, or play chess. Afternoon tea, snacks, and drinks are all complimentary. You can eat, drink, play, and relax all day without ever wanting to leave. The room is a two-story duplex, genuinely very spacious. It was just right for our family of two adults and two children. The entire room features smart controls, which are modern and convenient. We even watched a movie directly in our room at night. Honestly, it's more comfortable than many five-star hotels. This was, without a doubt, the best night's sleep we had during our entire trip.

The hotel doesn't have many rooms and isn't very big, but the service is absolutely fantastic! All the staff members were incredibly thoughtful and attentive. We arrived at the hotel around noon to drop off our luggage, and even though our room wasn't ready yet, they still helped us check in and moved our bags to the room for us. After checking in, the staff prepared a wonderfully rich and exquisite afternoon tea, and in the evenings, they even brought hot milk. The hotel also offers complimentary beverages, beer, and yogurt, along with hot drinks like fruit tea, ginger tea, and tremella soup. The breakfast was unexpectedly lavish, with different Beijing snacks offered daily. They also offer freshly cooked tangyuan (sweet dumplings), wontons, and beef noodles. We even got to enjoy homemade zhajiangmian (fried sauce noodles) made by an auntie working in the courtyard. The room itself isn't large, but it has everything you need. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The shower pressure was good, and the water was hot enough. There's also a smart toilet. Additionally, the hotel provides slippers and bathrobes. The siheyuan (quadrangle courtyard) is also beautiful, and there's a terrace on the second floor where you can enjoy tea.

The service was excellent; you could really feel the genuine kindness from the hotel staff. Although my room was small, it was fully equipped, even with disposable paper cups and homemade marshmallows. The afternoon tea was plentiful, and the milk before bed was especially good. The smart speaker played two episodes of 'Qing Qing He Bian Cao' for me. The hotel's location is superb, convenient for getting anywhere. Lao She's Former Residence is just a stone's throw away. Taking a stroll in the hutongs late at night offered a unique and serene experience.
