Superb 2 nights experience staying at this traditional Chinese B&B! Great hospitality, boss and staff are very attentive. Room is clean with great facilities, breakfast is awesome with lots of local specialties! Ambience and decor is excellent, with lots of photo spots! Would definitely recommend anyone who wants an unforgettable experience to stay here!

My brother and I stayed during our first visit to Beijing, and the experience was flawless from beginning to end! Xinxiang Yayuan Siheyuan takes good service very seriously, and everyone went out of their way to make our stay special. Breakfast and afternoon tea were delicious, and included different local recipes each day. Don’t miss trying the beef noodles! The room was perfect with a beautiful courtyard view, comfortable beds, and a modern bathroom with high tech toilet and shower with hot water/good pressure (anyone who loves historic hotels knows these can sometimes be a challenge, but not here!). The location is great for accessing key tourist sites, is near a metro station, and is in a beautiful hutong that’s worth exploring on a morning or evening walk.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Xinxiang Yayuan Siheyuan (Beijing Tiananmen Wangfujing Branch), and it was nothing short of a once-in-a-lifetime experience! From the moment I arrived, I was blown away by the charm and authenticity of the traditional courtyard-style architecture, which instantly transported me to a different era. The location is unbeatable, nestled in the heart of Beijing and just a short walk from iconic landmarks like Tiananmen Square and Wangfujing Street. Whether you're interested in shopping, sightseeing, or simply soaking in the cultural atmosphere, this place offers it all right at your doorstep. The staff were incredibly welcoming and went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable and memorable. To top it off, they even gifted me a beautiful souvenir—a thoughtful touch that made me feel even more connected to this special place. I truly can't recommend Xinxiang Yayuan Siheyuan enough. The peaceful ambiance, coupled with the impeccable service and ideal location, made this a stay to remember. I will absolutely be coming back and encouraging friends and family to experience this hidden gem as well!

I love it so muchhhh They provided the best hospitality for my trip to Beijing! The breakfast and traditional high tea is extremely good, very local taste! They really pay effort to every single details :) I love the atmosphere and also the design concept of the places, it is hard to find such wonderful si he yuan style hotel to stay, I would say 5 star recommendations It is quiet and the neighbourhood is easy accessible to everywhere! Fantastic stay at this modern, hi tech 'traditional' hotel. The boss and staff were very friendly and helpful. There are many instagrammable spots with natural sunlight and lots of greenery. Hotel room is comfortable and cosy. We loved the dining area where we can interact and enjoy the simple fare of noodles, dumplings and tea. It was an enjoyable stay and we look forward to returning. High recommended!

Note to person booking, give your family a surprise, do not share any information or pictures prior. Simply say we’re going to stay at an old alleyway hotel. The alley way or Hutong looks very humble and down to earth. My family was frowning all the way. You may not even see the entrance right away, but once inside, PARADISE 😀 You can choose this layout with a private courtyard, but I preferred the loft. Call the hotel via internet, receive directions accordingly 😀

Everything about this hotel is perfect!! The place itself is beautiful, comfortable, and clean with everything you need. The location is great— steps away from a busy street so easy to call cabs and walk to restaurants, but the hotel itself is quiet and relaxing. Inside a lovely hutong, you can experience Beijing life and even look over the roofs with the hotel’s balcony. The staff are SO kind and helpful at all times, and the owner speaks excellent English. Not only is this a lovely hotel, but the excellent staff and attention to detail make your stay its own special experience. If you’re looking to visit Beijing, I can’t recommend it enough!!

The most fantastic unexpected hotel in central Beijing down an ancient alley that you would not otherwise go down. Staff are superb and the experience modern with an old cultural feel.

Very nice and newly refurbished courtyard hotel. It would be nice to have a proper closet because 3 hooks right now are not enough for towels and clothes. Excellent service. Breakfast variety was great but tasted so-so. Freshly ground coffee was available. Dedicated late snack service too. Great experience! Recommend to spend more time in the hotel during the stay.

Their staff is so kind and helpful. I and my friend love this hotel so much.

Amazing stay. Only criticism is that walls are thin and we could faintly hear our neighbors snoring at night. Afternoon tea was very cute as well.

Wonderful location, friendly helpful staff. Great traditional Hutong setting. Complimentary afternoon tea, both generous and beautifully prepared, many items of their own making. Only reason for an average rating on the amenities is because our stay was during a mid April heat wave and their central air conditioning system was not on. As a result our room never got below 24C and our sleep was very poor. It was already a week into the heat wave so I think a lot more could’ve been done to get the system up and running for the comfort of their guests. Other than that, I highly recommend this place.

This gem in the hutongs is just the experience one wants in Beijing. A little bit of luxury mixed with authenticity. The beds are comfy and the showers good pressure. A huge bonus is the free all day wonton and beef noodle soup, homemade and delicious! And the afternoon tea is served with fruit in a beautiful setting. All the small details make this place so special. But the biggest asset is the people that take care of you, they aim to please and are happy to do anything you need. They even booked us a table at a roast duck restaurant and informed us when our table was almost ready so we wouldn’t miss our spot in line. Location is perfect! Thank you for an awesome trip!
